We have stayed here many times and the location and cleanliness are perfect. however, we found some of the restaurant waiters to be in need of training and the foaming soap in the bathroom is not suitable for washing hair. It leaves a gel on the hair which is greasy and unpleasant. Finally, we were looking forward to using the spa but since we were busy during the day the cost was prohibitive. Would it be possible to have a scheme where 2 hours at the end of the day would be free or at low cost?

This was my second stay in Wageningen for work. While the hotel was much nicer than other hotels in the area in terms of rooms, comfort and property. The front desk staff, however, were not great to me. I'd go as far as to say they were fairly rude to me. They were unfriendly during check-in, almost acting as though I wasn't worth their time. Then they tried to blame me for missing a taxi I requested they prebook for me. The taxi driver was nice enough to let me know they actually requested the taxi to the wrong hotel, then tried to blame it on me. I almost missed a business meeting because of this. And honestly, I wouldn't have cared I'd the person who made the mistake hadn't tried to blame it on me. It was just a strange way for someone in customer service to behave.
Also, the room did not have any shampoo or conditioner. Just ads to buy their brand of shampoo and conditioner. Not a deal breaker, but a bit odd.
Like I said, otherwise this place is great. If you like a bit of quiet, you can't beat the location.

Spectacular views and great service
Wow, what a wonderful stay. We received a generous upgrade to one of the best rooms and I wish I did not have to spend most of my time in business meetings while visiting Wageningen. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the walking access to arboretums and to town, and the relaxing views of the countryside. Breakfast was great. The only downside for us is we relied on public transportation while traveling through The Netherlands, and this was an 8 minute walk to get you a bus stop that takes you to the Wageningen bus station. The area is not known for having a reliable taxi service. So a car would be ideal here. I'll keep that in mind when I come here the next time.

Very nice room and view. Service was as bad as every other time I’ve stayed in this hotel. Despite the beautiful property and the great cleaning staff making the room wonderful, for some reason this hotel manages to consistently disappoint when it comes to the of the brasserie staff. Food is great so the problem is only with the wait staff that seems to delight in waiting for a 20 minutes before they bring you a menu even though they just es seated you and the brasserie is nearly empty, and then wait another 20 minutes to serve your drink so you’re already waiting about 45 minutes in the brasserie before you even can order.

A nice hotel with beautiful surroundings. The bathroom could have been cleaner. The restaurant menu is rather limited, the service was slow, but the food was good. Also, the front desk could be better managed and trained. The night before my departure I asked to have a taxi booked for the next morning. Fortunately I checked on it first thing the next morning because it had not been booked. I also received a bill at checkout showing that my account was paid up only the have the hotel accuse me later of leaving without checking out at all this implying that I was attempting to avoid paying the bill. Apparently they had applied someone else’s payment to my account. In any case, the confusion was cleared up, and I paid the bill despite their poor customer service effort.

Hotel is in a lovely location on the outskirts of the town. Staff were friendly however sent me to the wrong room initially. Rooms I would say are very bland with little personality, no extras, toiletries, more akin to a budget hotel. No pictures, no room service, no water bottles, no minibar. I was only there for one night so was out for dinner. Bed was just ok, I’ve never been a fan of the square pillows which I know is a Dutch European thing. It's a very special location for relaxing even if on business as you are surrounded by beautiful nature walks and river views, like in a forest (the botanical garden is next door!).

Wonderful views from the window. Didn't like that a twin room could not be provided although I requested it. One was only available for an extra 10Euros. This is something that Expedia needs to ensure is passed to the hotel as the request was added to their website.

We enjoyed a relaxing stay in this hotel. The setting in the woods and overlooking the Rhine was very good with a lovely walk right out of the door. It's just a 5 minute drive into the town centre or a bus route is right outside. Our room was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast had everything we could possible want and the communal areas were beautifully decorated for Christmas. We would have loved the jacuzzi and steam room to have been included in the cost.

you hire bikes provided by the hotel as this makes your journey into the town centre easier.

The hotel is situated on high point (high for the Netwrlands!), so one side of the hotel has great views over the river Rhine flood plain. The hotel is otherwise surrounded by woodland and is next to the Botanical Gardens.
The rooms are a good size and well appointed as is the whole hotel.
Breakfast was very good, with a good selection of good quality hot and cold food.
We had a group evening meal of three courses, the food was very good and the service was also good.
My only minor negative was that the cleaners changed the bar of soap after only 1 night (I only stayed for 2), it had hardly been used so seemed a waste.

This hotel is modern and clean in a wonderful location with great views. The restaurant has a great kitchen and the food is excellent. There is only one issue- the staff and their lack of professional behavior and basic knowledge. It took us 7 attempts to wave and call a waiter who deliberately ignored us. It took 2 attempts for the reception to call me a taxi (the first time they simply forgot to call), so the taxi showed after one hour! And to top this- at the check out they charged us again for the prepaid room, unbelievable!

Also, the guest book in the room stated Room Service was available from Noon to 21:30.. When enquiring around 17:00 we were told by reception it was not and only followed the restaurant opening times (17:00 not being one of those times).
It was only a short stay but quite disappointing for a hotel that classed itself as 4 star.

Perfect for a business stay
Visiting FrieslandCampina nearby (within walking for those who like a bit of a morning wander) and this hotel proved a good base. Near the centre where there are plenty of places to eat. Near to Ede-Wageningen station (bus or taxi) for access to Schiphol airport. Nice hotel, clean with good bar/restaurant - slight delay at check-out but only because the staff were being friendly which I'm not going to complain about.

This is a beautiful but architecturally cold hotel matched only by the cold service of its employees. The hotel itself is in beautiful setting, but isolated. The room was void of artwork and the floors quite cold. From my viewpoint, very overpriced and still has a long way to go.

We love this hotel. It is modern and elegant with large and clean rooms. High end restaurant, excellent location and a great terrace to enjoy nice evenings overlooking the river. We liked it so much we extended our stay. But we were disappointed with the attitude of the staff. They seem not to care and forget what you order. This issue occurred every evening regardless of the staff member, so this must be a training/ management issue. This could be 5 star accommodation if they resolve this issue

Very enjoyable 2 nights at this hotel. Stayed in room 128 which had great view over the valley and river below. Room very clean and well fitted. Staff very helpful and especially attentive in the restaurant and bar. Recommend anyone staying to get out and walk around the adjacent aboretum. If you need to keep up with running training then the park is superb place for a run.

Voor de welness moet je apart nog bij betalen, en vond dat nogal bijzonder, het ontbijt was keurig en heerlijk, de kamer was goed, de badkamer had hier en daar wat plekjes van vocht, hier ben ik allergisch voor.. al met al wel genoten van het mooie weer op het terras, later bij het dinner moest ik binnen mijn bord op eten omdat ik blijkbaar niet gereserveerd had buiten, en andere gasten (ook van buitenaf) wel... hierover en over de welness is niet echt duidelijk gecommuniceerd.. jammer voor het hoge bedrag
