We only got to check-in past midnight. Since there was no available staff at that time, hotel emailed and gave us the check-in instructions. Good breakfast selection too. Highly recommend to those travelling to Odense or even as a stopover when driving across Denmark

Quiet and soothing environment
The hotel is in quiet countryside and our room looks out onto a green backyard. The room is spacious. There are ample parking spaces, and there is a half-hourly bus service into the centre of Odense if you do not wish to drive there. The hotel has a restaurant and there is nothing else nearby. Berit at the reception was very friendly and helpful in answering our various questions. As Europe is getting increasingly hot in summer, the hotel should consider installing air-conditioning or at least provide an electric fan in every room.

I was just in this hotel overnight on a trip away from Copenhagen on business. The staff were very helpful and accommodating, the room was clean and comfortable, and the meal in the restaurant in the evening, and breakfast in the morning, were excellent. It seemed to be in a suburban neighbourhood, but I was not interested in anything other then a comfortable night in the hotel.

4-star hotel at 3-star prices
This is a comfortable and great value-for-money hotel - especially convenient for travelers who have a car, as abundant free parking is available. There is a gym but for such a large hotel, it is ridiculously under-equipped with one-each of the usual cardio machines, no weights or weight-lifting equipment and only a single set of dumb-bells that top out at 10 kg. The breakfast buffet is adequate - again good value for money. If reviewing Frederick VI as a 3.5 star hotel then I give it 5 stars upon 5. But comparing it to \"all\" hotels, including much more expensive ones, then 4 and 3 star ratings seem most honest. Excellent value for money but not a luxury property.

Great stay and valuefor money. I was looking for a calm place with parking and for that it was perfect. Free coffee & sparkling water was a great bonus and the breakfast was awesome. The only minus was that the curtain was too small for the windows in room 123. Staying as a single female traveller, I would have preferred to be more shelterd by them on the ground floor.

I killed 3 during my one night stay and I still have nightmares imagining bugs creeping on me while sleeping.
Mold in the bathroom.
Old dirty, scratched glass in bathroom.
Bathroom door was dirty with old thootpaste stains.
No toiletteries at all.
No water pressure from shower.
No fridge.
Bed mattress needs to be changed, worn out with a hole in the middle.
Duvet was full of chunks of filling, you can feel it’s old.
Only a few danish TV channels.
No reception after 20.00.
You can hear the neighbours.
Breakfast very basic, no orange juice and very little to choose from.
I wish I had read the reviews before I booked this ”hotel”.
I hope other guests don’t get scammed and dissapointed in the future.
