The hotel itself is beautiful, but keep in mind that it is not a beachfront resort. You can walk down a path to Baby Beach; however, it tends to be very touristy and is rocky and not a walking beach. Baby Beach is a great place to snorkel.
The service was not very good. I think part of that may be because the resort is new and they haven't worked out all of the kinks yet, but overall the customer service was lacking. We had to wait over two hours for our room to be ready, even though we arrived after the 3pm check-in time. The front desk staff repeatedly told us it would be "just 20 more minutes," but each time we checked back, the room was not available. We were told 3 separate times that, due to the inconvenience, something extra special would be waiting in our room. Unfortunately, we never received anything. Our friends who stayed in the Preferred Club had a butler who also acknowledged the issues and offered us a Bali bed for the duration of our stay as compensation. We accepted the offer, only to then be told they were sold out for the week. Due to allergies, we requested foam pillows several times but were never able to get one. As a result, I had to sleep on one of the decorative pillows from the bed because I couldn't use the standard pillows provided.
With the exception of the Himitsu and Coco Cafe, the service service was lacking

Service was poor, never saw the butler except for check-in. Could not get drink service. Staff (most) was always too busy talking to each other instead of working. Entertainment was just average. Food was average. Our stay was average. Nothing like our stay in Cap Cana. They set the bar. Will probably not stay at Secrets again.

The food at the four restaurants was subpar. The buffet restaurant was great except what should have been a warm offering like the fish was barely warm. Skinny filets. If you go for breakfast there they’ll make to order anything.

A couple afternoon activities at the main pool were fun to watch but few participated. No one wanted water volley ball or basketball. Football was throwing the ball through a target.

Lots of music and girls shimmying around in the pool.

The beach is public and a three minute walk. Genierally crowded.

Coffee in the rooms was boutique type. No cream or sweeteners. The walk from our room to get real coffee was a quarter mile round trip walk once you figure out the shortest route. Lukewarm by the time you got back to your room.

First time to any all inclusive resort anywhere. We anticipated basically just eating and drinking and hanging out and that’s what we did. Didn’t go to any evening events because they don’t start untill after we were ready for bed.

Became bored and with the restaurant food not being exciting we just left two days early.

Pros are the rooms are really nice, the resort is beautiful and the staff working there are excellent. Cons: in the middle of nowhere there is absolutely nothing but the resort on the remote tip of the island. They advertise 7 restaurants but only 4 are open for dinner and the menu never changes. The food is mediocre, not bad just not great. 10pm and everything shuts down apart from a sports bar where they do karaoke and a “disco”. The entertainment had a couple of decent nights, mainly the band who are pretty good but once again they are gone by 10pm, the steel drum player is good but he stops at 8pm. It’s so boring at this place. We had a ten day stay and were ready to leave after four. The swimming pool is freezing, hardly anyone goes in, the hot tub is cold it’s more like a whirlpool not a hot tub. The beach is small and littered with trash, they offer you a lounge chair but no umbrella or shade so it can be very hot. We love Aruba, we have been many times but this place felt more like Aruba Alcatraz isolated and boring. Eagle beach resorts such as the Divi chain are far more in tune with offering a great vacation as are the resorts in Palm beach. Secrets push a hard sell on their vacation club. Maybe if you want total peace and quiet and are an early to bed kind of person this is for you. Unfortunately it was not for us and MANY other guests we spoke to were highly disappointed.

Secrets Baby Beach Aruba ranking an 8.2 is a giveaway that some reviewers don’t actually understand Aruba. My family has been coming here for decades and we now own a home on the island; I’ve stayed for weeks at a time at nearly every major property—Palm Beach high-rises (Hyatt, Marriott, Ritz), Eagle Beach low-rises, every major timeshare (Divi, Casa del Mar, ABC), boutique spots like Manchebo, and even checked out JOIA—and this is easily the nicest hotel in Aruba. Baby Beach is hands-down the best beach on the island for swimming and chilling: calm, shallow, crystal-clear water with none of the Palm Beach chaos. The complaints come from people expecting “action” on the quiet side of the island; if your idea of nightlife is a few guys drinking until 1am in a Palm Beach bar, you booked the wrong resort (and maybe the wrong beach). Secrets is for honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays, and couples who actually want to relax. Think the EDITION brand—ultra-modern, design-forward, polished, calm and actually is all-inclusive, and the food is included and exceptional. On a very small island with a limited supply chain, Secrets somehow delivers the best food in Aruba: four excellent dinner restaurants, outstanding Italian (best risotto on the island—my partner is Italian), the strongest buffet I’ve seen here, and sushi that’s shockingly good for the Caribbean. Aruba is about weather, beaches, and unwinding - Secrets is a 10 as good as it gets.

Great customer service! Shout out to Jonathan (one of the resturant managers) for making our experience great! One of the waiters found my earring that I dropped at the restaurant and gave it to Jonathan, who went above and beyond to find us and give it back!
Another great employee was Nathaniel who helped us with our resort vouchers/excursions/contacting private taxi services without us even asking!

Honestly this resort is beautiful the views are to die for and the staff is friendly the problem is the dining options at night they are bad the service is very slow and they got the orders wrong a few times. The food was not good and that’s a huge part of your stay the buffet is great it should be open all day. It’s also far from the rest of the island so if you want to go anywhere expect to be in the car for over 30 minutes or more. Loved the facility love the staff but I won’t be back to this one. We also found that it lacks entertainment and it’s boring at night unfortunately.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this property. From the warm welcome upon arrival to the services we received during our stay, everything was excellent. All-inclusive is definitely the way to go. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We ordered room service every morning, which was always delicious and always delivered with a smile. We met many people vacationing there and learned a lot about the island from the employees, and even our shuttle driver shared details about the island's history. Overall, a great experience, and we will definitely return.

Room no issue. Not up to standard for all inclusive. Help at the hotel are NOT interested in satisfying basic requests bordering on laziness or company policy. Food is very restricted on what you can and can not do. Food is not available all the time and even though NO reservations are required you may get to eat at 9 or 9:30. Not one I would recommend

The pool was okay. They don’t have enough staff so it takes 2 hours for room service. A drink at the pool takes an hour and the dinner service is even worse. Also you can’t get food at the pool you have to dry off and change and go to the restaurant. Wouldn’t stay here again. 5 star prices without the 5 star service

The property and landscape was stunning. They upgraded us to a room with our own pool that was perfect. The staff were all great and such a beautiful location. The breakfast and lunch buffet were great and we liked the South American restaurant, Tierra the best. The Italian and Asian restaurant weren't really good. Special shout out to some stand out staff, Sophia, Denise, Lorenzo, Alejo, Melisa and I believe her name was Evelyn at breakfast outside. We will definitely be back.

The hotel is not ready for guests. It took us nearly 2 hours to check in. We could not go to our room for the first time without a Butler, and none were available. When we finally got to our room, the mini bar was not stocked. When fully stocked, it only has soda, juice, and beer. Liquor is not available in the room. We were not told that they do have chairs at the beach, others at the property told us. If we wanted house keeping, we had to call for it. We ordered room service for after the evening show, it was delivered prior to the show. There is not enough wait staff in the restaurants, so even though there are tables, unless you go at 5 or 9, you have to wait. The preferred section, is open to everyone. And the preferred bars still poured well liquor. It was not worth the price and does not live up to the Secrets name.

Food was decent, very secluded. Terrible dining out experience.. Habachi chef catered to Spanish speaking couples only and didn’t speak English for 80% of the performance. Housekeeping, you almost always had to ask for everything. Purchased room with private pool.. not private, connected to all other rooms and no privacy at all, all patrons can see you, out in clear view of public pools. We were considered a preferred customer.

The service was very poor. Had to ask 3 days on a row for someone to clean our room. We waited over 2 hours to get in to eat dinner and the resort was not nearly at capacity. The shower and toilet area in our room smelled like mold and no ventilation in the toilet area. The island and beach were pretty but overall the resort needs major improvement. When we first arrived they asked if I wanted an upgrade which I agreed too, when I saw the room compared to the amount of money spent did not jive. Way way over priced. So we ended up back in the original room which was actually nicer than the upgrade. Few things I want to point out. If you want something don’t expect to get it, I asked for scissors second day there to be brought to room they never showed by the time my butler got back to me I didn’t need it anymore so front desk and room service don’t help at all, the coffee bar in the room was never refilled, I finally called because we had no more coffee, cups, or sugar in the room. After about 3 hours mini bar finally showed and only refilled coffee pods, we never got cups sugar or creamer so the pods were useless. The daily turnovers all they did was make the bed. They left all the dirty cups in the room didn’t vacuum or clean anything. To the point there were bugs in the room. Which again by the time Maintence showed up I already cleaned them. We paid extra for the preferred side of the resort becaue there aren’t alot of guests we don’t get bracelets so anyone at that resort can go to the preferred side and get better alochol choices and food and supposed to be better service but I didn’t see that. So I paid for an over priced room to get better service which I could of got basic room same service. Brought issues to manager attention at check out and based on response they did not care one bit. Go again? NO!!

Secrets Baby Beach is beautiful, with stunning pools, gorgeous sunsets, and convenient beach access. The beach is public but calm and roped off, and attendants provide chairs, towels, and drinks. Although the resort is 20–30 minutes from the high-rise area, it wasn’t an issue for us—we found reasonable taxis and only went into town twice.

We paid for a Preferred room with a full ocean view but got only a partial view, and the balcony “jacuzzi” fit one person. The room had no bathtub and no drawers, making storage for a nine-day stay inconvenient.

Service was inconsistent. Our butler was largely inattentive, didn’t acknowledge our anniversary or birthday, and only occasionally helped with meals or schedules. Check-in was smooth, but Preferred Club perks felt unnecessary.

Food was hit-or-miss. Breakfast was decent, Oceana underwhelming, South American restaurant flavorful but painfully slow, Japanese average, and Italian excellent. Drinks were weak and inconsistent, poolside bars often unattended, and pool activities poorly managed.

Entertainment and nightlife were excellent—interactive shows, line dances, karaoke, and great music made evenings lively.

Overall, Secrets Baby Beach has beautiful scenery, fun entertainment, and a relaxing beach vibe. But for luxury service, consistent food and drinks, attentive butler service, and true ocean views, it falls short.

Final Verdict: Do not pay extra for the Preferred Club. It is not worth the money—skip it entirely.

So we have stayed in many of the secret and dreams property. This is a gorgeous property. The only issue is it’s very remote away from all of what makes Aruba wonderful. The beach is public so it’s very very crowded.
The rooms are gorgeous. We got a swim out. It was good, but not great.
My last thoughts, was that there’s an oil refinery right next to the property. Bit of an eye sore.

I had my concerns prior to booking this property due to it being further away from most activities. However, after spending a week there I will say my wife and I had an AMAZING time. The property itself is impeccable, the staff are very friendly and will greet you anytime they walk by, the drinks are excellent and they do have top shelf I did see items like grey goose, Titos and hennessy to name a few. The food was fantastic, breakfast and lunch are buffet style and then for dinner you choose one of their restaurants, Tierra has amazing steaks but the others were good. As someone who has traveled to about 20 all inclusive, the food here was def top 3 in my books.
The beach is pristine and only a 90 second walk, there is a trolley available for those not capable of walking that distance. They have two main pools, a quiet pool overlooking the beach and the other pool being a little more lively with a DJ playing music from the bar.

The only downside, and it may not be a downside for everyone, was that the entertainment is limited. They do have pool side activities in the day time but night time activities are limited to a diff live band every night between 8-10 pm followed by Karaoke between 10-11 at their sportsbar/night club. After karaoke the DJ will play music until 1 am or so. I did rent a car at the airport so I did travel around the island and was amazed to see how many people were downtown. My wife and I were happy we chose this location as it was less crowded.

We recently enjoyed a 7-night stay at this resort. It was our second Secrets property and our 12th all-inclusive vacation, and a few things really stood out in the best way: the wonderful staff (always friendly and accommodating), the easy access to stunning Baby Beach (absolutely amazing), and the delicious breakfast and lunch buffets with plenty of variety. The baked goods were also a real treat!

On the flip side, we weren’t as impressed with the dinner menus. The options felt a bit limited, and we really wished there had been a buffet at dinner—especially since breakfast and lunch were so good.

We also tried the Preferred Club upgrade but didn’t find it worth the extra cost. While it did offer an à la carte menu for breakfast and lunch, most of those dishes were available at the buffet anyway, and service was quite slow. Our room had an ocean-view balcony with a tub, but there was no privacy to comfortably use it. The Preferred Club lounge did have premium spirits, and snacks/treats. The preferred club also offered a smaller infinity pool separate but next to the main infinity pool, but using the pool bar meant either waiting for occasional service or getting out of the water to order.

Overall, the staff, beach access, and daytime dining made the trip memorable, but dinner options and the Preferred Club didn’t quite live up to expectations.
