Very beautiful, but byer beware! This property is in the national park of the Cinque Terre. It is tthe highest point in Manarola. The room itself is very nice and modern. That being said, there should be a disclaimer that states how difficult it is to get there. The lising states that there is no elevator, which there are none in the Cinque Terre. Walking up the hill to the hotel is equivaleent to climbing approximately 18 flights of stairs. Anyone who has physical limitations or is just not in shape to make that climb should be warned in advance. The listing also states that there is help available for luggage of which there is not. When I complained to the property about this they said I would've had to request that in advance. However there is no indication of having to do so anywhere in the listing.
The picture of the beautiful deck with a view was one of the reasons I booked this hotel only to have a tiny terrace with a bistro table and 2 bistro chairs with the room. When I contacted the property to complain they said that the deck is only for the honemoon suite. Again, not stated in the listing. I would say if you are in good physical condition and want a great view this is for you. There is no way we were able to go out in the morning, go back to the room mid day, go back out for dinner and then back to he room. We had to stay out all day or pick up some salumi,wine and cheese and eat in the room.

View is misleading
I stayed at “Camera Deluxe, vista montagna” room. The picture is misleading because the window view is to another house and not the view in the picture at all. Also, the main picture of property (with the balcony view is available only to the balcony room and it’s also misleading).
I booked 3H before arrival, and missed the instruction to contact 24H before. At arrival I tried to contact them but they publish wrong number in the property information and didn’t answer to internal message. But customer support was helpful.
The room was clean, comfort and has a luxurious atmosphere like the rest of the photos. Except check-in problem and the view it was a good experience.

This room was amazing! Check in was easy and following the instructions got us to the property. The staff was available via WhatsApp messaging and answers all questions promptly.
The view was 10000/10. It was the best part. Beyond stunning. Perfect for sunset! The room looked exactly like the photos online and was clean and well stocked. Cost of snacks, drinks, robes, and soap was clearly marked.

Fantastic room with fabulous views! Although there’s no onsite reception, The First team were very responsive and even helped us with a discount for Via Dell’Amore. They also provided lots of helpful information about the area and gave us special treatment at their restaurant, La Regina. The minibar and water are chargeable, but all the details are clearly displayed. We had a wonderful time and would definitely return!

Take note that the ad says stay in Riomaggiore but the room is in Manarola. So make sure you have the location and directions so you know where to go!!
You also need to get room entry instructions from the host via WhatsApp. Ensure you have this ready as you do your check in because there is no staff at the location to assist you to get in.

Best place to stay in Cinque Terre!
Fantastic room in Manarola. No place could have a better view! Clean and comfortable too! The restaurant under same ownership was attentive to needs and great food. Everyone nice. Owner very responsive.

The balcony shown was not the one on our property. The room itself was shabby with broken things and generally needed decorating. The door didn’t open using the card as instructed, possibly as the entry panel was smashed. Lights on one side of the bed didn’t work. The proprietor left coffee machine and drinks / snacks. While it’s standard to pay for mini bar items, they charged for water and coffee pods which felt tight given the cost of the room.

Property was falsely advertised. Luggage’s needed to be carried up 4 flights of very narrow stairs. No front desk. Communication was only by email and no response from attempts by phone. The room had NO VIEW other than a tree. They advertised a view from the room.

Do not follow google map from the train station it will take you up about 500 stairs! Just turn right from the tunnel and go up the hill!
Also this is hotel is technically in Manarola not riomaggorie! Beautiful spot and worth the hike to get there!

Amazing views but be prepared for a 600 step hike to get to your room. Unless you have been to the area, your map will route you crazily in finding this spot. I will not return to Cinque Terra.

The property by far has the best views in town. The walk to get there is tougher than you’d think lugging baggage but well worth it. Bathroom and bedroom could use some bleach to get rid of some minor mold but it’s a great place! Host was fantastic.

The room and area were fantastic, however, a few things knocked the stars down. First is that the place is quite a walk from the train station with luggage, and was not easy to find. Second, there is no elevator to get your luggage up to the room, so after you are exhausted from making your way from the train station, you also have to haul your luggage up to the room. Third, it wasn't immediately obvious that there was a retractable screen in the bathroom for privacy, so there were some awkward family moments until it was discovered that some obscure little remotes raised and lowered a screen to mask the bathroom. :D The view from the room is AMAZING, and check-in was very easy, with an online process and then picking up the key from a lock box.

This property is difficult to find, almost impossible to open the door (the lock doesn’t work properly) and there’s nobody on site to help if you need it. The room was partially clean (white powder on surfaces) and needed some maintenance (disappointing for the extravagant price). We booked the honeymoon suite and there was a lot of black mold in the ceiling. There was water damage in the ceiling and bathroom. The bathrobe was ripped, there wasn’t enough toilet paper for our stay, everything in the room is for an extra charge. That being said, the linens were comfortable and the view was absolutely stunning!! Really, you are paying for the view. Bottom line… it’s beautiful, but only stay here if you’re fit (it’s a climb to get there) and patient (it’s hard to get in!).

Beautiful room. Very comfortable beds. Modern furnishings. View is amazing and check in easy and efficient. Staff very helpful on arrival. We were only able to stay one night but would have loved to stay longer. Definitely would come back if available. The area is know for its beauty and there are narrow stairs as it is built into the mountain, but there is also a winding road/path up to the residence so stairs can be minimized. There are two terraces to sit and enjoy the breathtaking view of the town and hills.

The view alone at this property from the balcony is worth the cost! My husband and I stayed in La Spezia and booked one night in Manarola at this property. We took in the breathtaking sunset from the balcony and then watched a lightning storm off in the distance under the stars. A memorable stay for sure!

The check-in process was a nightmare and the staff was incredibly rude. There is no lobby or staff that work physically on the property. We booked through Orbitz. Received a message the day prior asking for our contact information so we could receive the check-in code to get our room keys. I responded through Orbitz as there was no other email provided. I never heard back, so for several hours prior to our arrival I tried to call, no less than 5 times. We were placed on hold for > 10 minutes at a time, then the call would drop. Got to the property could not get into our room, no staff was there, tried calling again with no success. Called Orbitz, who also struggled to get in touch with anyone for > 20 minutes. Finally they were able to get in touch with someone who was so rude, yelled at the Orbitz agent and then hung up the phone. Orbitz called to offer to cancel our reservation and help us find new accommodations. While they were searching for other hotels, I finally received a phone call from the hotel. The gentleman, who would not give me his name despite my asking, was exceptionally rude to me. I explained we had been trying to reach him for quite some time. He told me \"stop being hysterical, that's my problem, not his.\" He went on to tell me that he \"doesn't care if we had to end up sleeping on the streets.\"
We were finally able to get in after multiple more phone calls and texts, but I was so disappointed with their customer service.

Such a beautiful terrace! The room was gorgeous and comfortable. Suggestions for improvement considering the price: we were only given 1 bathrobe, the terrace should have an umbrella already setup, the room needs a kettle for making tea and ideally a mini-fridge and microwave. We loved our stay and would still highly recommend.

We stayed in the honeymoon suite. The view was absolutely breathtaking and the bed was very comfortable. Locking the door and using the A/C were very confusing. It would have been nice to receive more detailed instructions from the staff, who are not on site. They responded quickly via WhatsApp but were not very friendly or helpful. They provided a wine key that was missing a corkscrew, so when we tried to enjoy a bottle of wine at sunset, we had to walk to a nearby restaurant to ask them to open it. When I brought this to the staff’s attention, they ignored that part of my message. For the price, I expected more attention to detail and a much more welcoming and helpful staff.

The terrace is very large and the best view in Manarola, and the breakfast is very nice. The room is small, it's odd to have a bathroom with a toilet open to the rest of the room (glass partition), and there were small ants everywhere. We arrived on a hot day in late April and the heat radiator was on, it took some time for confusing instructions from staff via what's app texts to turn it off and although AC is advertised it is not turned on until sometime in May. It's like an airbnb in that there is no on-site staff and it's in an apt bldg, yet it's like a hotel in that they charge for coffee, water, etc. that is in the room.

Based on the location of the unit it would be best to advise your guests as some will have luggage, offer bag assistance facilities even with an additional charge. Upon arrival the television did not work not one came to resolve the problem we were advised a lady would come the following day. When we saw the cleaning lady she had no clue how to fix it and no one else came to assist and no one check if the problem was resolved. The refrigerator there is an absolute waste of time as it is filled with your drinks and cannot even facility a guest bottled water. The room needs a proper size refrigerator and a microwave. I paid for two nights and only stayed one and ended up having to pay to stay elsewhere. I am very disappointed as this was our honeymoon.

Keep in mind that if you stay during Orange weather warning period all shops close so you will need to find food in another city. That said this place is still worth it !

Million dollar view. Pay very close attention to directions and location. And, if you do not want to carry or pull bags up and down hills and up and down MANY flights of stairs either hire the baggage service or stay somewhere else. That said, once you get to the room, you will not be disappointed. Room 212 offers a beautiful view and is down the hill from the train station the quaint town of Manarola. The property is in Manarola, not Riomaggiore. Riomaggiore is one train stop away. We personally thought Manarola was more quiet and quaint than Riomaggiore so were happy about the location. Again, only challenge with this property is accessibility. As long as you have a plan in advance, it will not be an issue.

This was one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had. The honeymoon suite room was incredible and the view was second to none. We extended our stay by a night because we did not want to leave. Yes, parking is outside town, but that’s for everyone. The stairs are a lot, but we found shortcuts up some other paths to reach the room. The room itself is worth the effort. The huge balcony patio is incredible and we enjoyed spectacular sunsets each night. We cannot wait to come back and stay here again.

The most beautiful room with the absolutely best view. While this isn’t a traditional hotel (self check in etc) it was a really comfortable stay with a very responsive manager. We had a few issues with Wi-Fi and coffe but the manager quickly offered solutions and fixed both issues. They even let us keep our bags there until 1pm on check out day. The balcony is small, but very comfortable for 2 people to sit for a glass of wine.

I want to start off by saying that the views are gorgeous! But first, you have to make it there. We knew ahead of time that we would not be able to park on-site, but we were unclear as to where to park. We figured that out. The hike to get to the place from the parking lot with all of your luggage is not easy. First, you go down cobblestone hills, then you go up and climb stairs, and then you have to climb a few flights of stairs inside before you are finally there. I am recovering from my fourth foot surgery (two on each foot) and was only three months out, so this was very hard for me. I knew there would be some climbing or walking but I didn't realize how hard it would be. I tried later to go down and explore the town, but made it down one flight of very steep, wide stairs and knew I couldn't go on. I was thankful for the nice patio and the views that I could enjoy from my room and also the deep jacuzzi, although that was also a challenge to get into as well! Overall, it was nice, but I don't recommend anyone with any medical issues to book this place.

Beautiful views, disappointing experience…the views are absolutely incredible. Unfortunately, the experience was not. We arrived and realized the key card did not work. Luckily, the housekeeper was still there and was able to let us into our room. She informed us that there would be workers painting outside our room the next day. This was the first time we learned of this work. The next morning, we woke up to loud construction and men on scaffolding right outside our window. Considering this was listed as a “luxury” stay, this was unacceptable. Our entire morning was interrupted and we had no privacy. When we reached out to management, we received a casual response. Overall, despite the view we would not recommend this location based on this experience.

Location in town was good. View was limited in our unit but was OK. Breakfast was wonderful & served to our room promptly at 8:30 each morning. Accommodations were a little tight but not at all uncomfortable. WiFi service was very good.

Excellent location! However not at all organized and the hotel does not deserve all the credits for something that already exists (e.g. view). We asked for parking, they told us it's not available, fine. They told us to use public parking and walk 500m for the hotel ( high steps included). They told us not to worry as they have porter service and they gave us his number (didn't provide any help calling him). When we called him he said \"Oh I don't work today\" ( Friday!!!!) but i will come tomorrow. And when he came the next day he asked on spot for a fixed fee to help us. So no help for parking (only paid parking by driving on our own) , no arrangements for porter service and finally extra charge for his one way service fee. If bottom line is just a room, sorry but the price is really hight for no service at all.

Best In the Villages... little things lose star
Overall, the accomodations were great. Don't think we could have found a nicer place to stay in the villages. Why I give it a 4 instead of 5 is a lot of little stuff... The WiFi is painfully slow (and I was around to remember dial up) and listing says there is Netflix (it was downpouring one day when we were there) and Netflix didn't work at all. Also no slippers and robes like the listing says. There is also no physical lock on the inside of the room door. Everything is electronic which is modern yet I still would have liked a physical lock.
All that said, I would happily recommend this listing. The actual listing seems to need some slight editing but overall good stay.

Loved the view and the bed was very comfortable! Unfortunately you are high above the train station so you keep hearing bells and announcements. The couch was dirty as was the comforter ... the curtain for the shower door (that is right beside the bed) kept going up and down by its self !!!
We also found that the master key to all the rooms was left in an open closet for anyone to use ... we alerted the property contact and closed the door but no one came to lock it .
