How wonderful it was to open the curtains in the morning and look out and see the sea panorama of Ischia Naples, Mount Vesuvius, Sorrento all in one sweep. That alone was worth staying here, but in addition, the room was comfortable. The facility was clean and charming. Only mention is our room had a tub set up only and was a little slippery tricky to get in and out for a shower. The staff were superb and helpful at every turn. The location is ideal easy to walk to charming ann Capri and the shuttle service and local transport helps with other places. We utilized the convenient the pick up and drop off shuttle service. Eat breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed a wonderful meal at the restaurant too. The little cave like steam room was so cute. The hotel is well managed, and we hope to return someday.

Our stay was absolutely unforgettable. The views and world-class service were everything you’d expect from a five-star hotel, but it was the warmth and kindness of the staff that truly made the experience so special. Every detail was handled with care, making our time there both relaxing and memorable.The sunsets over the infinity pool were spectacular. Great location to go for a short walk to Anacapri and villa Michelle.

You are greeted at the door at reception and shown around the property and they strive to please you. Rooms and amenities are luxury quality. Breakfast buffet is great with proper settings and indoors, which is great because you can eat without bees attaching you. Nice robes, slippers, towels and amenities. They do a turn down service with fresh towels. The best asset to this hotel is the amazing view, you are at the top of a huge cliff in Anacapri facing the ocean, Napoli and Sorrento. The only con is the hotel is on a busy street neighboring a children sports camp and can be noisy all day. It’s about 10-15 minute walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

Without a doubt one of the best hotels I've had the pleasure to stay in. The property is a beautiful 19th century private summer palace converted into a beautiful hotel. The interiors are stylishly decorated and furnished. The rooms are spacious with incredible views. The service was impeccable, from the moment we arrived at the port there was a porter waiting to greet us and handle the transfer of our luggage to the hotel. The transfer from the port was in a BMW driven by Allesandro. We were greeted at the property by Angelo who was welcoming and ensured a smooth cheque in process. We spent an afternoon at the pool which has terrific views of the bay of Naples and some time trying out their cozy outdoor gym which is surrounded by plenty of trees and the hotel's garden where they grow fruit and vegetables. The breakfast was outstanding with plenty of fresh fruit, delicious tomatoes grown on the property and a wide selection of delicious pastries and desserts. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful and relaxing stay.

Very ‘High’ Expectations

I had very high expectations for this property before we arrived, and they’ve exceeded even those lofty expectations by a wide margin. What an amazing property, run by amazing people. The views from this hotel simply can not be beat. The food was exquisite. The grounds immaculate and the service was second-to-none.

We were met at the ferry docks by a hotel representative who took our luggage and arranged our transfer to the hotel via private coach (NOTE - if you are afraid of heights, close your eyes for the ride to the hotel!). After check in, luggage appeared in our room.

A special shout-out to Marco. We met Marco just after check in, having lunch in the restaurant. We saw Marco every day, several times each day, during our stay, and he had a friendly and helpful greeting each time. If they’re offering it, remember to try the Ravioli Caprese dish. It was outstanding (and the Bufala Caprese).

The views from this property are simply amazing, with sheer cliffs running 900’ straight down.

The pool area was clean, comfortable and very quiet.

The room service staff (housekeeping) serviced the room twice a day, making it so that when we returned from our excursions of Capri and Anacapri, or returning from dinner, the room was fresh and clean.

Don’t forget to watch the sunset from the lounge. You won’t regret it.

We are completing our three-week tour of southern Italy and Greece, and can easily say that our stay at the Caesar Augustus was THE most memorable stay, bar none.

Hotel Caesar Augustus, perched high on the peaceful slopes of Anacapri, felt more like a private panorama than mere accommodation. Our room opened onto floor‑to‑ceiling windows and a wide terrace, so every glance took in the full sweep of Capri’s limestone cliffs and the shimmering Bay of Naples. Each evening we lingered on the balcony, watching the sky fade from coral to indigo behind Ischia, Procida, and the distant outline of Vesuvius—a nightly show we’ll never forget.
The location could not have been better: a leisurely five‑minute stroll led us to Villa San Michele, the Monte Solaro chairlift, and the cafés and boutiques of Anacapri’s historic center. Inside, our suite was airy, spotless, and generously proportioned. Downstairs, the bar mixed inventive cocktails alongside a tempting menu of light bites, while the main restaurant delivered polished Mediterranean dishes worthy of the view.
It was our first visit to Capri, and the warm, attentive staff at Hotel Caesar Augustus turned it into something magical—an experience we’ll carry with us long after the ferry pulls away from the island.

Customer service was top notch the entire time starting with pick up and transfer from the port and return on our departure. It was lovely to be greeted by Francesco , son of the owner with such a warm welcome when we arrived at the hotel. We also were given an upgraded room which was so wonderful and appreciated. We loved our 2 nights so much we extended to 4.
Lunch and dinner at the hotel were outstanding for service, ambience and food.
Pool area and grounds were lovely including the massive garden where they grow and use all the vegetables and herbs in the restaurant. We definitely enjoyed celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary at this hotel and would highly recommend. Grazie mille Francesco and your team💕

A wonderful hotel with breathtaking views. The staff are super friendly and go out of their way to make sure your stay is as comfortable as possible. The rooms are beautiful as well serviced twice daily. The only downside is if you want to go to capri main square a 7-min taxi ride is 25 Euros each way.

We’d never been to capri before. We fretted about the hotel choices. Visited them all - we made the right choice. Town is still full of day trippers … couldn’t stand it albeit less than in prime summer months.

Our hotel was perfect. Best views ; best pool, quiet. Food was very good.
Would stay here over all we saw. Certainly would stay here over the capri palace which is down the road.

This may be the most beautiful property I have ever stayed at. We enjoyed our terrace in the evening and had room service for breakfast one morning to enjoy breakfast on the terrace. The staff is very attentive. The Ana Capri shopping area was a 5 minute walk from the hotel.
It was great being whisked away by the hotel shuttle from the hectic ferry marina. If I could give 10 stars I would.

This is a beautiful hotel with stunning views. It is extremely peaceful and quiet with helpful staff. The pool overlooks the ocean and all you see is blue. The food is exceptional. The breakfast service is delicious. We have been here six times over the years as it is always an amazing experience.

A wonderful, well run hotel with amazing views and beautiful rooms and facilities. The location has its plusses and minuses. Away from Capri as it is means it’s quieter and away from the crowds too. It also means a $30 euro cab ride each way to have dinner if you want to eat off property. But mainly it means that you have the incredible views all to yourself. Anacapri is an easy walk. But it doesn’t have the flare of the further away Capri town center. Staff is friendly and helpful in whatever language you might need.

There really are no words to describe this amazing hotel. It’s even better in person than in the photographs. The location is spectacular and the staff and dining options were fabulous. Relax by the double Infiniti pool or take a short walk into AnaCapri, come home and visit the steam room with natural herbs and then relax in your room overlooking the ocean. The concierge is SO helpful with suggestions and booked an amazing boat ride for us . If you are trying to choose a hotel, this is the one. I hope we can return one day!

From the moment I arrived at the Caesar Augustus hotel in Capri, I knew I was in for a truly exceptional experience. This hotel surpassed all of my expectations and earned a solid 10/10 in my book.

The views from this property are simply breathtaking. I spent countless hours on my balcony, soaking in the stunning vistas of the Mediterranean Sea, the Bay of Naples, and Mount Vesuvius in the distance. It was truly a feast for the senses.

The rooms themselves were equally impressive. The attention to detail and level of luxury was second to none. I felt like royalty in my spacious and immaculate room, complete with high-end amenities and elegant furnishings.

But what really made my stay at the Caesar Augustus stand out was the staff. Every single team member I encountered was friendly, professional, and and eager to assist me in any way possible. They helped us retrieving our lost luggage at the airport and arranged for all transportation. They truly went above and beyond to ensure that my every need was met.

And let's not forget about the food. The culinary experience at this hotel is out of this world. Every dish I tried was bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. It was clear that the chefs at the Caesar Augustus take pride in sourcing the freshest ingredients and creating innovative and delicious dishes.

All in all, my stay at the Caesar Augustus hotel in Capri was unforgettable. I'm already planning my next visit and can't wait to return to this paradise on earth.

My wife and I were traveling for her 30th birthday and Capri had always been on our list of places to go. We booked this hotel after seeing the incredibly positive reviews and can definitely see why. From the moment of our arrival we were greeted by extremely friendly staff, and the owner himself Francesco welcomed us and gave us a complimentary upgrade to a beautiful terrace room facing the sea to make our stay that much more memorable. We've stayed in many hotels around the world and this is up there with one of the best. The entire stay was perfect; room was beautiful, food was amazing, and service was impeccable. We are already planning our next trip back. Thank you to the entire hotel team and management for making our trip a memorable one.

From the moment we arrived on the ferry, the team at Caesar Augustus took care of everything. We were traveling on our honeymoon, and they were kind enough to upgrade us! The owners son came and meet us personally to congratulate us and tell us about the hotels history. The gentleman that was at the pool was also incredibly hospitable, and was lovely to chat to (I wish I remembered his name)!

The views from our balcony, and the pool are by far some of the best in Capri, paired with the peaceful and romantic atmosphere- this hotel has been the highlight of our trip and worth every penny. We can’t wait to come back!

Love, love, love this luxury property with the most spectacular views in all of Capri. Family run for decades, owners there to greet you upon arrival or to check in with you while dinning. Fabulous attentive staff, wonderful and plentiful breakfast, incredibly delicious dinning experience in an amazing venue over looking the sea.
