Very cute & great staff!! Close to everything! They sent a survey before the stay which I was almost not going to fill out but glad I did because they were soooo sweet to provide us an Olympics gift bag when we arrived! The only negative is that I could hear almost every door shutting around us, but I don’t think that would stop us from staying again.

Wonderful location, close to the Metro and a pleasant walk past art galleries and shops en route to the Louvre or the Musee d’Orsay. Rooms in the back are small but comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with very generous morning hours. Staff at the reception desk were cheerful and very helpful. I look forward to returning in the future.

All of the staff was super helpful. The rooms were quite small, but they were also very cute. The beds were comfortable. It would have been nice if the AC was an option, but the hotel does not turn it on until summer- understandable. Also, I picked the hotel because the description cited an elevator, and I saw it in the lobby, but it was not offered as an option in bringing the bags up and down. It was near everything, but we did not eat there. We might of if there was a bar and small bites to order throughout the day.

Excellent Left Bank location in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, couple of minutes from métro and buses, minutes walk to the Seine, Musée du Louvre, Jardin des Tuileries, Musée d'Orsay, Jardin du Luxembourg, shopping, dining, etc. Hotel spreads back through interconnecting buildings, which gives an added charm. A charm further enhanced by my room for one, which was small but totally perfect, a comfortable haven furnished and conceived to very high level. Great staff too!

Location!! Friendly staff! Safe.
Had the family room option for two adults and two teenagers: two adjoined rooms, 3rd building, 5th floor. Clean and comfortable.
Small elevator (holds two with bags,3-4 without but tight. Narrow, manageable stairs for those who walk stairs. No refrigerator in room. And like Paris, older building. In a great central location, walkable to most everything. Enjoy!

My wife and I just stayed for four nights. We loved this place. The staff have been friendly and helpful. Even though it's technically a 3:00 check in no one had stayed in our room the night before, we arrived so they got us in at 9am at no extra cost. The breakfast was included in our package and has been good, eggs, croissants, cereal, so enough that even a picky eater can find something good. They provided umbrellas when it was raining. The front desk is always staffed and they are quick to help if you need them.

The location puts you within walking distance of everything you'll want to visit, but you are just far enough off the Seine that it is very quiet.

Now with all of that said, if you are coming from the United States and have never been to Europe you need to understand the rooms and bathrooms are a little smaller than the traditional US hotels but that goes for any hotel in Europe under 1500 a night. For the price here I feel this place is a steal.

When we were leaving we w÷rent sure about our pickup ride and MeRouane at the front desk was quick to help and contact them. We even had the wrong number but he looked up the number and called for our confirmation.

Very run down. I was in a back building accessed from second floor, walked across a kind of roof deck with plastic grass and plastic flowers. Moldy small as soon as you open door to hall, my room smelled like mold and dirty diapers. There was an enormous Ventilation duct venting right outside my window, which is why I could not leave it open when I slept to get fresh air. I have a mild allergy, developed a sore throat and headache, had to sleep with an N95 mask.

Beautiful hotel in the perfect neighborhood, Saint Germain. The front desk staff were kind and very helpful with suggestions and directions. The housekeeping staff were excellent. The hotel and our room were very clean. Our room was amazing. We stayed in a two room suite on the top floor. The room was larger than we expected, and great for a family of four. The beds were perfect after long days exploring Paris. It was fairly warm during our stay and the air con worked well. As for the location, it could not be better. A quick walk to the metro, and the neighborhood has everything you need. We were very satisfied with our stay and will recommend this hotel to our family and friends!

The hotel is in a great area of Paris, and it's within easy walking distance to the Louvre, the Seine, a metro station, and plenty of restaurants. The bed was super comfortable. The staff were very friendly, although they attempted to charge me twice for the hotel tax. (I paid upon check-in, and thankfully, I kept the receipt, as I used it to prove I had already paid when asked to pay again at check-out. It's not a big deal, just poor record keeping.)

Areas for improvement at this hotel:
1. You can't adjust the heat in the room. For me, it was too cold at night, especially in the bathroom. For others, this may not be an issue.
2. There was a light out in the bathroom, so the only light was near its entrance. It was late, and I was too tired to request a repair, so I showered in very dim lighting.
3. There was no shower door or curtain, so water got all over the floor where there was no drain, leaving standing water and making it very damp in the whole bathroom. There was no bathroom fan to help with evaporation.

I believe the nightly rate is a bit too steep given the subpar bathroom facilities.

Would not recommend this hotel! The room was so small you could barely walk around the bed. The shower was as small as an RV shower. The shower also leaked onto the carpet in the room. So, every time you went in and out of the bathroom you walked on soggy carpet. The female receptionist that worked every day while we were there was extremely rude from the moment we checked into the hotel until the moment we checked out. The male receptionist was always very nice! The breakfast was awful. It was not worth the money. We have stayed in 6 hotels in the last 5 weeks in Europe. This was by far the worst one, especially for the amount of money we paid to stay there!

The hotel was very nice and centrally located in the area where we wanted to stay. Unfortunately we had to leave 2 days ahead of schedule due to the transportation strike in paris taking place at midnight on 12/5/19.

The location maybe the only benefit. The jotel was old and rooms smelled like a sewer. No elevator was working, the staff was not alwaus available at the front desk and English speaking staff were difficult to understand. I had two rooms reserved only used one because famkly members could not join. I asked for a ctedit of refund and my request was not communicated or processed.

The WIFI didn't work when we first arrived (broked several times during our four-day stay) and we asked the the gentleman at the reception and he said - I don’t know, I need to ask my colleagues tomorrow morning. The room is clean if you don’t count the black mould in the shower room and dust on the bedside table. The room is not sound-proof. I could hear people walking up and down the stairs, people upstairs taking showers, couple next door giggling... However, the location is great.

The room was very cramped and it was impossible for a big person to use the showeroom/WC comfortably because it was so small and awkward. The shower leaked badly on to the floor because the shower tray was too shallow. The chamber-maid was forgetful of things she should have left for us and one day forgot to clean or do anything in the room. When I complained, no apology was given.

Small boutique hotel in the heart of St. Germaine. Very Parisian. Traveled with 2 adult daughters and stayed in a quad room which was the perfect size. There were 2 separate bedrooms, 1 bathroom and 1 closet. The entrance was located in the hallway between the 2 rooms. We had a lift to our room which was located on the 5th floor. Very private and quiet. Beds are firm but comfortable. You can purchase the room with included breakfast but we didn't as we wanted to eat out locally. Service was excellent. Would stay again when visiting Paris

Our stay here was an overall good experience. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The room was a little smaller than the picture made it seem but I was expecting that. The only issue I had was the mattress and pillows were very firm. My husband slept fine but I prefer a much softer bed and had a hard time sleeping. All in all though, a good experience!

A comfortable room with AC and large bed in a great part of the city. Room had no fridge but we were only staying 3 nights so it wasnt really a problem. Easy to walk across the Seine to the Louvre in no time. Great boulangerie on the same street. Close to metro so travelling to outer arrondisements was really easy as well.

Good price for a great location. Room was teeny but had all the amenities you’d want incl a teensy bathtub.... nice marble finishes, antiques.... but I’m not a large person. I think bigger people (over 5’11” for instance) would have a tough time, at least in the room I had!
But front desk super accommodating, spoke better English then many other nearby hotels and very professional.
I booked it for the location which is my fav and was glad to be there.

The Hotel des Deux Continents is a wonderful place to stay in Paris. The location in the Saint Germain de Pres neighborhood can't be beat. It is within easy walking distance to the Louvre, D'Orsay, Notre Dame, etc., and there are so many wonderful restaurants and shops in the area. Although the room we had was quite small (hard to move around our luggage), the bed was very comfortable and we had a terrific view of the rooflines and street. The staff was very helpful. We did not eat breakfast there.

Pros- Hotel is in an amazing neighborhood with so many shops, restaurants, cafes nearby. The Louvre was a 5 minute walk away, in addition to many other sites within about 1-2 miles. The wifi was fast. The front-desk staff was helpful when I asked for tourist help and they called us a taxi the morning we left. The hotel itself was very quiet, and we could not generally hear noise from other rooms from within our room. The bed was very comfy. The espresso machine in the lobby was convenient.

Cons- The room was TINY. The bathroom was TINY. This was basically a very small bedroom with a tiny bathroom. I'm not claustrophobic, but showering and getting ready in the bathroom and room was awful. The air-conditioning was decent but not amazing.

I understand many hotels in Paris are small, but this was nearly unbearable. Our suitcases barely fit in this room. It was also likely the smallest room in the hotel as it was the least inexpensive. However, it was very COZY.

I don't think I would stay in this hotel again simply b/c of the size of the room/bathroom. I would 100% stay in the same neighborhood though.

The location is excellent. We walked everywhere we went in Paris, many places like the Pantheon, the Louvre, Notre Dame, Ste Chapelle, and the d'Orsay less than 20 minutes away. The hotel is also convenient to the rail station for the train to the airport. Restaurants and interesting shops abound in the neighborhood. The hotel serves a very nice breakfast buffet at a reasonable cost. The only drawback of our stay was the three flights of a spiral staircase to our room, which was small but okay to say the least. The hotel staff was uniformly friendly.
