They put me in a room DURING ONGOING RENNOVATIONS for my Christmas vacation. There was constant hammering, demolition and noise around 8am to 7pm. This is completely unacceptable. I was surrounded with the two rooms on each side of me AND the room underneath, being demolished for 5 days in a row and on Christmas Day also. It completely ruined my whole vacation. Staff was nice but did not make up for the continual torture in my room. I do not think they cleaned this room before giving it to me, there was a dirty q-tip on the nightstand, shower. Shower curtain laid behind the toilet. The bed was not comfortable and very squeaky, and lumpy pillows. The bathroom was terrible, shower head didn’t even resch holder to take a shower. There was a large speaker arts he’d to the wall which made it look like there was a camera in the bathroom. Unacceptable. Stay somewhere else and save yourself the stress.

But they were doing very loud construction (drilling, small jack hammer, etc) right next to our rooms starting at 8am and running sometimes until 9pm. Including Christmas Eve. I sent two messages to management, and they did not even answer me. I realize work has to be done sometimes, but no apology, no acknowledgement, no reasonable hours, and other no attempt to accommodate us tells me everything I need to know about what sort of people run this hotel.

The location of this hotel is great, easy to get everywhere and so much on offer in the neighbourhood. I also found the staff to be extremely helpful and welcoming.

The downsides are being able to hear every sound coming from other rooms, which in my case was a large Alsatian dog who was up at 5am, and who was, quite frankly, terrifying when encountered in the corridor. The breakfast option was disappointing and not worth the money charged.

It was just OK. The room was much smaller than the photos, pretty drab, but at least it was quiet and warm. Breakfast was minimal, probably the cleanest array of options I’ve ever seen in Paris, Hotel. Service was pretty nonexistent. But the price was good and it was in the perfect location. I usually stay Le Regent just down the street which is so quaint, more amenities, and just a little bit more money. But it was booked!

Hôtel was installing floors during the day. Very loud noise. Hotel room was on the street side and noisy until 3 am in the morning. The bathroom was renovated however so small two people could not fit. Had to sit on the toilet sideways due to space. The shower was not correctly done as water would not run off down the drain but would run out into bathroom. Totally weird. Breakfast was fine. We had 3 rooms and my sister’s room had no A/C for entire stay. Front Desk did put in a fan?? Did nothing to make up for this major problem. No price discount or anything. Poor problem resolution. Management needs training. Hôtel had many Americans. I heard at breakfast many unhappy remarks. Location in St Germain was perfect. Not sure we would book this hotel again.

Best location for touring Paris and Disneyland, 5 mins walk to the river and another 5 to the Louvre. Arrive ving at CDG Airport, a train to St Michel Notre Dame which is 10 mins walk from the hotel, located close to the Latin Quarter where all the best restaurants and Cafes and bakeries. The hotel it self is clean, air conditioned and had enough room for me and my daughter, with price offered it’s worth it. The staff are very helpful and friendly, the manager send us a survey for preferences before arrival which was very kind with personal touch. Will visit again. Notecthat can be slightly noisy at night when windows open due to the nature of the area, but I slept well anyway.

The room had a bit of an unusual design and was up a flight of steps on a half-floor, but was comfortable and fairly typical for Paris. The hotel offers free still and sparkling water in their bar area for your room (they forgot to mention this), and I did not have much of a view from the room, but I did not spend much time in it.

The area nearby has lots of great restaurants and shops, and there is quick access to an underground station just south of the hotel, which will get you anywhere else you want to visit.

This hotel is like a B&B. The decoris a bit outdated but adds to its charm. The sevice was excellent! It was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was basic but sufficient, however, using the same plate for everything and the total
silence in the small dining room was a drawback. The location is excellent though: 10 minutes walk to Notre Dame or the Louvre. I would recommend this hotel.

This is the most fantastic location! Every night we were able to walk and find dining without a reservation. Fantastic dining and shopping options right out the door. Easily accessible to all the other tourist highlights. The rooms were tiny for sure, the building being hundreds of years old, but they were beautiful.

I was very pleased with the experience especially the great service. When we checked in on our first room, we were a little disappointed with the cleanliness as it had stains on the rug and bed sheets, cracked sink, and other things. I had requested a new room and the receptionist told me they were full that night and I can come back in the morning to chose a different room. We stayed at the room for one night and returned to the receptionist the next day. They were very helpful and nice. Checked us to a much better room with nice view and beautiful interior. It was the same twin bedroom size but the atmosphere was so much better! Yes, it is quite old but it had so much beauty and history which is why I chose the hotel. The location was really great too. Food and shopping nearby was awesome and the hotel employees were friendly and helpful with everything! I would definitely recommend this hotel and I would also come back here again!

The hotel was horrible, service was rude and unhelpful, the hotel had zero amenities in the room plus a broken hairdryer and the room was tiny considering we went for a deluxe option.. hate to think what would have been for rooms at a lower rate.

This was a nice hotel for the price. Great location. And we got to eat my native Korean and Japanese food on the same street. Why I didn’t give it a 5 ranking was that Tony in charge on Sat night asked us without scruples that we had to pay for an extra stupid plastic card key which we needed because he only gave us one when it was me and my girlfriend fiance, and we had simply accidentally left the 1 key card in the room when we headed out for dinner Saturday night. It’s obvious that he was trying to steal from the hotel and me and forcing me to give him this in cash as tip. What nerve!! He was trying to cheat us and next morning mentioned it to Flaurin the manager on duty Sunday morning who was appalled as well. Just want to say that if it was not for this bad service the hotel and rest of staff in restaurant especially Nigeria. Lady were all very congenial. Thank you for a great stay except for the fraudster - I assume they will reprimand him - this is was completely unacceptable. Other than him I highly recommend the hotel for its location, price for value, and location location location ! Tres bien. Thanks, Oliver

Small, cosy and fabulous location.

The location of the hotel is fabulous and perfect to walk to everything, while also close to transport links. It was easy to get the RER train direct from Charles de Gaulle, then a 7 minute walk.
I feel the hotel needs a bit of renovation, chipped mirrors and bath and sink. There is one liquid in the shower, for soap and shampoo which seems a bit basic. Twice I asked for ice but the machine was not turned on so I couldn’t get any.
The staff were helpful especially with restaurant reservations.
I loved my view over the rooftops.
I would absolutely stay there again.

This hotel is in a great Paris location. Lots of dining and bakeries and convenience stores in the area. Many of the attractions are walkable. The room was small, and bathroom tight but this is Paris. The staff were all very accommodating. We did request a couple of things for the room while we were there but these were not done. Location is prime. We got rooms that were really in need of updating or at lease repair. The bedding was filthy. I kind of wonder if we were given this room because of the need for double adjoining. Very strange access to the rooms. The toilet would only flush once every hour or two since the fill was a drip at a time. Maybe we are spoiled in the US.

I wish that I would have read the negative reviews about this hotel more closely prior to booking. Especially how the Management/Owners replied (shrugging off instead of taking into consideration). Do yourself a favor and book another hotel in the neighborhood.

This was our last hotel after several weeks traveling through Amsterdam, Germany, Switzerland, Lyon, and Paris. We stayed at 6 other hotels before this one, most of which were as old. Dauphine was such a disappointment. It's in a great neighborhood and has such potential, but it is really dirty and not being maintained well at all. We rented 2 rooms and both were equally bad. The carpet had gross stains and litter on it that remained our entire stay.

Breakfast: Yoplait yogurt, powdered microwaved eggs. Microwaved bacon and vienna sausages, 2 cereals & store- bought pastries.

Old doesn't mean a place can't be maintained. Especially at the price they are charging. It's a 2 star at best. I recommend finding another hotel in the neighborhood for the same price.

The staff were truly wonderful - helpful, accommodating and friendly. We felt welcomed and valued. We did have to change rooms because the fan in our original room was really loud (too loud to sleep!). They kindly moved us to another room that, while clean and nicely appointed, beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was roomy and clean, but.....it had a strong odor that we finally figured out must have been some sort of bug spray - since we know there was publicity about bug issues - which they DID NOT have, so don't mis-read this. The fabric headboard really had a smell. I'm so glad they were vigilant and pro-active, but, phew, that smell was overpowering. If they change their beds to wooden headboards and get rid of the fabric onesI bet it will solve the issue. High marks for such excellent staff - I wish I could have given the property a higher rating.

Location, location, location! Walk to the Louvre, Orsay, Notre Dame etc. Metro stations nearby. Lots of restaurants and art galleries. Lively and safe neighborhood. Hotel restaurant was only open for breakfast. Rooms are charming but very small. I barely fit in shower and I’m petite! Lovely staff, very clean, has elevator.

We loved this hotel. Fantastic service, the staff was highly experienced, knowledgeable and friendly. Flora was especially helpful and available for questions. A small boutique style hotel, it was quiet and there were no overwhelming crowds waiting for attention from the staff. It was very clean and our room was cozy. Eva that handled the kitchen was so nice and the breakfast was more than adequate and the coffee was superb. The hotel was also eco-conscious, providing large refillable glass bottles and a filtered water station. Additionally, there was one soap source in our bathroom, eliminating all those plastic bottles that end up in the landfill. Much appreciated! The location could not be beat: close to important museums and the Seine and tons of great restaurants and cafes. Small shops and businesses provided plenty to do when we were not touring the city. A very happy discovery, we will definitely be back.
