Room and bathroom very small the yoilet seat was hang off . Bed very uncomfortable. Staircase was very narrow
and dangerous . The maid left laundry bags on the staircase which was a trip hazard. I had booked for 2 nights but ended off leaving this run down hotel the following mornings and booked another hotel to stay in.

The Hotel Eugenie is in an excellent location for all of your touristy desires. 3 minute walk to the Metro with easy access to everything. Notre Dame is across the river (make sure to get reservations ahead of time).

The room was small for three of us. We could barely open our three suitcases. The bathroom was adequate, but needs updating/repair. The 1/2 glass on the shower has a gap and let water run out on the floor. There was no one to make repairs on the weekend.

The breakfast nook had a small but adequate meal, but not worth the price. Walk out the door to one of the bakeries or cafes. They are everywhere.

The staff was polite and courteous.

- nothing fancy, the steps on the stairs are uneven, easy enough to get up but reminiscent of being intoxicated haha
- lift is tiny, suspect it would be hard for families or more than one big suitcase

- decent size, enough for space king bed, suitcases to be spread open on the floor
- extra pillow was nice
- clean enough, smell of cigarette smoke wafts in from the courtyard which is a thumbs down
- bath tub shower is meh but relatively consistent with 3 star, this is not well shown in photos when booking. Only enough space for one person to be in at a time
- separate toilet helps at least with some spacing

Cozy, clean and close to everything

The location is fantastic, right in the heart of the Latin Quarter with cafes and restaurants just steps away, and only a short walk to the Seine River. The room was small but the bed was very comfortable. While the walls are quite thin, we were fortunate to have quiet and respectful neighbors, so it wasn’t an issue. The space was spotless, and overall, we had a great stay. Would definitely return!

The location couldn’t be beat, but the hotel was pretty run down. Our room smelled very badly of cigarette smoke. The staff was very nice and gave us breakfast for free to compensate, but the hotel’s breakfast was very boring so we didn’t even eat it. I would probably stay there again if I found a good price because the location is so great, but I would definitely not upgrade to include the breakfast or plan to spend much time in the room!

Its a small hotel, the rooms are even smaller, and the bathroom so small it was near impossible to utilize the toilet.
The location is very good.

The Staff of the Hotel are nice. The area is centrally located and closed to any mode of transportation. There are also a lot of restaurants nearby, also closed to the most attractions in Paris.

The only downside is the hotel building itself, it’s old (which I can understand if they only maintained it well), bathroom was very small and very dirty. Our actual room was very dirty with spiders literally at the ceiling and walls. I did not complain in the front desk but I will never ever come back to this hotel. Thank goodness we always bring our lysol wipes so we have to disinfect everything. Also to note, the walls are very thin, you literally hear the conversations next door. And we don’t really feel safe inside the hotel.

A quiet retreat in the latin quarter

Hotel Eugeine is small but welcoming, clean and quiet. It is a couple of streets from the Seine, with an abundance of restaurants/cafés and bars in the neighbourhood. We had the buffet breakfast each morning, although there was no gluten free bread available. ( I ended up buying my own!)
It is near to St Michel station, for both metro and airport lines, although there is construction work at the moment on C line.

The pictures were not like the room we were assigned. The air conditioner did not work so we had to keep the windows open all night. The bathroom had a beam going through it so any normal sized human cannot stand or even wipe properly in the closet that was considered the toilet. The sink and shower were across the hall which is less than inconvenient. The bathroom was damp and a bit moldy. The bed felt much like a futon. Other than that, it was fine.

The room was pretty good, beds were nice and shower.
The staff was not helpful. Any questions we asked, they either gave wrong answers and couldn't help us. Bathroom was ridiculous. Forget it if you have mobility issues or are a senior. Bathtub wall is so high to get into and out. Very dangerous and no mat on bottom of tub -- slippery. Sink blocked the glass door so couldn't even sit on edge of tub. Toilet cover fell off. Left on floor. 4 hangers. We asked for more and they managed to dig up 2 dusty ones a day after asking. My sister fell off the stair in their lobby and the receptionist didn't even get up off her chair. We asked for ice for her ankle that was swollen and black. They gave us a small hard cooler pack. Other than that no assistance at all.

I had to cancel meetings because they had someone banging walls above me when I complained they were not happy I was woken up by the sound and had a migraine, they gave me sheet with blood stains and when I called upset again such that when I asked for iron the lady who did not speak English got upset and called me troublesome it was not welcoming at all. Only good thing is location sorrounded by great restaurants

It was really nice being so close to so much. We were able to walk just about everywhere, and we were really close to the train station which made it easy to get other places too.
The room was pretty small, and the bathroom was super tiny. The breakfast was simple, I wish there were a few more options. Also, there weren’t any allergy-friendly breads or milk.

Room 207 facing the courtyard exceeded my expectations. Quiet, dark, spacious by french standards, small fridge with a water inside, heated towel rack, plenty of counter and closet space (again by french standards) and a safe.
Breakfast was simple but good and plentiful. Staff was extremely pleasant and there is a storage space for your luggage should you need one.
Elevator is small and lands on the half floor, so you still have to go about 10 steps to get to your floor but it was fine, a little weird but not a big deal. I frankly have nothing bad to say about my 3 nights stay and will use this property again.

Fantastic location, however, I would not recommend with children based on hygiene/OH&S, I would rate it more of a 2 star hotel in a good location. Lady at reception was amazing and super-helpful. We couldn't wait to get out of there and considered paying the additional cost to check in elsewhere.

Best thing about this hotel is it’s location. The actual hotel is quite dated. No tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The deluxe double room had a nice and recently renovated bathroom. Big room by Paris standards. Could hear noises from other rooms and also from the street, no block out curtains. Thus wasn’t a problem as winter but would be in summer months. Glad I got a discounted room price and would recommend looking for deal as I definitely wouldn’t pay full price.

This hotel located city centre. Very convenient to access for everything what you need. Take M line straight to sent-Michel Notre-Dame station.
In the room, there are not much amenities, no weather bottles. You need to bring everything with you.

The hotel is in a great location, being near Notre Dame, St Germain and the Latin Quarter; also being very near RER B line, it's very easy to get to from the airport (CDG).

Rooms and communal areas were very clean, as was the bathroom (though with a sloping room on the fourth floor, making headspace something to watch out for in the morning – bump!), which was contemporarily fitted-out.

The room was compact but perfectly fine for my needs (you should be out all day after all!).

Location, location, location! This hotel was 2mins away from the St.Michel-Notre Dame station which RER B runs to straight from CDG. It's steps away from Notre Dame, Seine River, St. Chapelle, Pont Neuf, Louvre, situated right in St. Germaine des Pres, with an abundance of restaurants and food on every side. It's also one straight metro ride to Montmartre, and one bus to Trocadero, and we even walked to Arc de Triomphe, Galeries Lafayette Houssman, and back.

Great neighborhood, bad hotel.

It's pretty obvious to me that the people that are giving this hotel a 10 are rating the actual location and not the hotel itself. Everything in this hotel is passable, but the building itself is quite dilapidated and the elevator is utterly useless. We stayed on the third floor and we still had to carry our suitcases up another flight of stairs after we took the elevator. The stairs themselves are uneven and borderline dangerous. I would avoid this hotel entirely if you have any issues with mobility. Actually, I would avoid this hotel entirely regardless.

Our room was an okay size, but the bathroom was particularly cramped, especially the shower. Maybe if there were a shelf in the shower or someplace to put shampoos and things, it would be better, but as it was, I almost hit my head on the wall every time I bent down to pick something up off the floor. The carpet in our room was absolutely filthy, and I noticed stains on the curtains and on the throw pillows from the bed.

The neighborhood can't be beat, and the staff that we interacted with was very helpful and friendly, but I don't think that makes up for the other issues that we had with this hotel.

Great hotel off of Rue Saint Andres de Arts. Location was in great aince it was literally in the middle of everything, quicly accesivke to all sorts of transportation and landmarks. The location of this property was wonderful; Right in the heart of Saint Germaine with plenty of restaurants and cafes. Keeping in mind that this hotel is in the center of Paris, the room was very small - as in there was no place to open your suitcase unless it was on top of the bed. We needed to rearrange it a bit to even find a place to put our luggage down. The bathroom was on the side of the building with a pitched roof so my husband couldn't stand near the toilet. However, the bed was comfortable, the shower was good, and the staff was very nice. The breakfast was OK - just the basics of what you need to fuel yourself up for the day. I would probably stay here again simply due to the amazing location, but request a different room!!

Hotel Eugenie is centrally located in the 6th district. Very close to shopping & food destinations. Touristy! Even more so than the Rue Cler. Stairs are dodgy... do not use. I think when they renovated the hotel they forgot to redo the staircase from the 1920s. Exterior of hotel needs to be remodeled. Very old and falling apart. This hotel has potential, just needs some TLC.

*quiet rooms despite proximity to bars.
*close to metro (14 & RER)
*rooms are small but clean
*bathroom is small but adequate

Cons:
*staff needs to smile. This isn’t a time of recovering from the Great Depression. Learn to greet your guests.
*dark. Hotel needs lights to liven up their entry and staircase. Make it more inviting.

Rooms are modern and clean but small by USA standards. Ours had a balcony opening onto the street which was very nice. Great neighborhood with walking access to Metro, Notre Dame and the Louvre. We had a fantastic stay in Paris and the Hotel Eugénie was a large part of it. Fantastic location right in heart of the Latin Quarter meant that everything was conveniently within walking distance from the hotel. The room was immaculate and comfortable. Staff were great. The price was more than reasonable. Highly recommend this hotel. We will be coming back and will definitely stay here.

Awesome location and a great place to stay. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Lots of restaurants, cafes, creperies and other places to eat within a five-minute walk. The metro is about a one-minute walk from the hotel and the Saint-Michel station gives you access to all major attractions throughout the city.

Yes, the rooms are small, but that's Paris. If the size of your hotel room is a big issue for you, stay home and don't go to Europe. You should be out enjoying the city, not lounging in your room watching TV.

Book this hotel and you won't regret it.

4 charging stations!

This has been my home away from home for 30 years traveling to Paris. It is small, old, but has everything I like in a room, including Internet, hot towel racks, room safe, full length mirror, 4charging stations, a small desk, good shower, plenty hot water, covered shelves, French windows that open, AC in summer, central heat in winter, elevator to landing, then 6-7 steps, near cafe, busses, Metro #4. Luggage storage and breakfast available. Beats a 4 star hotel. Only downside in my room is the mattress....

Very well located hotel. Spacious room with good wi-fi. Very helpful check in staff/reception. Very slow lift, badly needs new carpet on stairs and hall ways. I paid 520 euro for 2 nights recently, the second night was almost 360 euro. It's not worth that, there are better value hotels in the same area. The surrounding area is fantastic, great choice of eating places etc

Amazing Location & Friendly Staff

Staff was friendly and the rooms were comfortable. The windows overlook a lively street with many shops and restaurants. This location is within walking distance to Notre Dame and several metro stations. I would recommend this hotel.

Great quiet place close to great food. Elevator is very small but great to have. Stairs very small and tight. Rooms clean and very comfortable. Nice breakfast. I would stay again
