We had a excellent stay here for a surprise trip with my S/O. The rooms are so well decorated, staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. All of the hype in other review about the family owned service and touch was true. The dinner recommendations made by the concierge were all hits. One of the best parts is the location. Couldn’t ask for better in Paris. Additionally, a great shower with a huge shower-head which is a rarity in Europe.

Overall, fantastic stay and can’t wait to get back.

This is a delightful family owned hotel. We had such a warm welcome with friendly helpful staff. The hotel is historic but immaculate with lots of charm. Our room was freshly renovated, compact but with a nice bathroom and small seating area, it was identical to the marketing. The location was perfect for walking around Paris and shopping the charming boutiques of the area there are plenty of excellent eating options very close and the staff are very helpful with recommendations. We loved our stay here.

The Du Vieux Paris was a wonderful place for a Parisian visit. It is convenient to walk to most of the key sites and excellent restaurants. The neighborhood immerses one in the visit! The rooms are quiet and nicely appointed, the beds are comfortable and there is space to unpack and enjoy the stay.

We especially want to compliment the staff for their help and insights - both pointing us in the right direction of key attractions and restaurants but also helping us understand the culture, language and sense of the city. Thank you, Gil, Basile and especially Jean-Marie, for making our stay enjoyable and educational.

We will definitely be back!

Location is excellent - very close to attractions (Notre Dame and Louvre and so much more) major metro and bus, and dining options. Although it is in a very busy area, the hotel itself is tucked away on a small quiet street so it is not noisy at all. Very quiet. The staff is superbe, friendly and helpful. Note that this is a small Paris hotel with tiny elevator, tight stairs, and somewhat basic in room amenities, but it is also very pretty and very clean. And has airconditioning. Location!!!!

Fabulous lovation near Saint Michel-Notre Dame Metro, lots of cafes and the Seine nearby. Fabulous hoswers and contrary to Expedia small print it does have a (small) elevator. In the 60s it was a famous hotle for Beat Poets with the likes of Jack Kerouac, William S Burroughs and Allen Ginsberg!

A welcoming home from home in the heart of Paris

We just had a wonderful stay at this hotel. We had a suite with a double bed for us and a single bed in a separate area for our son. The staff at this hotel were absolutely amazing, so welcoming, and this hotel is really nice. Right in the heart of things, just a short walk from many of the attractions. Cannot recommend highly enough.

This is a really lovely hotel in one of the busiest parts of Paris (so close to Notre-Dame!), but it is on a quiet cobblestone street, so the best of both worlds. The building is ancient -- the stone walls in the ground floor and the beams in the room made the \"Vieux Paris\" experience totally authentic. The bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was really excellent! The staff were super-helpful with a gift our daughter sent, they couldn't have been nicer. Highest recommendation.

Our stay was made exceptional due to multiple factors but most importantly the staff. Ghiles was so helpful in coordinating our shuttle service with Idris from CDG.
The location is a 3-5 minute walk to the Saint Michel metro and train service. Walking distance to Notre Dame, Musee D Orsay, Samaritaine, Le Bon Marche, and others sites and shops. Great restaurants nearby. All of this near yet the hotel offers quiet as it is located off a side street from the busy Quai Des Grands Augustines.
We aren’t able to comment on the breakfast offerings as we did not participate.
The staff, hotel cleanliness, quiet, and location elevate our review to command an excellent rating.

A gem of a hotel!!

We had such a terrific stay! This hotel is a little gem…. Located in the heart of Saint Germain s stones through from the Seine, metro, Notre Dame, restaurants, creperies & shops. All staff at the hotel were outstanding- so helpful and friendly. The hotel itself was very authentic French- small & boutique which was the experience we wanted. Highly recommend!

I really liked the location of this hotel. I found it easily from the train station and stayed for 4 nights. I was able to leave my suitcase securely with the manager, prior to check-in time, as well. English was spoken and the room was very clean, air-conditioned, bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had an updated appeal. A roomy closet was appreciated. Breakfast room was on the lobby level and superb with a personal pot of coffee and delicious custom omelet, fruit and croissant! It was very close to the River Seine, shaded trees, and several restaurants and cafes. I hope to return in the future thanks to a very nice and welcoming staff. This visit was just prior to the start of the Paris 2024 Olympics, and I was very pleased to have stayed there.

This a hidden jewel in Paris. The hotel is so convenient-in less than 10 minutes we could walk to Musée Cluny, Notre Dame, Musee D’Orsay, Louvre. The hotel staff is welcoming and professional. Location of the hotel just off the Seine is quiet and felt very safe. It will be our hotel for future visits to Paris. I give it 5-Stars.

Hidden Gem in Paris

We stayed at 3 hotels in France and this was our favorite! The staff was very friendly, our room (which was a garden view) was exceptionally quiet, and our air conditioning worked great! The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We would highly recommend Relais Hotel Du Vieux Paris, and plan to stay here again if we come back to Paris!

Very charming, great location, quiet. Helpful staff fluent in English but willing to speak French. The elevator is tiny and there were no windows in the breakfast room. We preferred having breakfast at the many cafes around the corner at Pl. St. Michelle.
