This is a small no frills type of place to stay. For Americans I’d say it’s more like a bed and breakfast than a hotel. It is in a great location, clean and the room is a nice size.. the ppl who work there are really great and helpful with restaurants, etc.
I think the best thing about it was the large room size and the bed was very comfortable. We never felt cramped or uncomfortable and it was always great to go back to the room. We also loved the location.
Although it was not the most luxurious place we’ve stayed, it was perfect for 4 nights in Paris where you will be only sleeping in the room.

Great boutique hotel - good size room and windows opened to view the street. Air conditioning is OK (I didn't find AC anywhere in Europe to be great). The location is fantastic - close to so many cafes, restaurants and the metro. Great service and a very nice staff.

Advertised as a 4 Star Hotel, upon entering the hotel and room this should be classed as a 3 Star, very old and tired, with no amenities, guests actually had to go across the street to another hotel for breakfast. Location to metro and cafes were the best part. With a laundry only a block away.

The small, boutique Hotel is lovely and gracious, and comfortably designed. Perfect for Paris! The hotel staff was very warm, gracious and helped in any in every way for restaurant, reservations, taxis, etc.It’s in an excellent location just a couple of blocks from the same river. It has lots of small cafés and restaurants very close by with just the perfect amount of Parisian energy. I would highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again upon returning to Paris!

The staff was amazing. Being a small hotel, the staff knows all of their guests and can assist with many different needs, and was always responsive to emails and phone calls. The hotel was located in a good part of the city with easy access to restaurants and shopping. The only downside was that the street was a busy \"walking\" street and noisy at night.

Bed was rock, closet was peculiar with the bar just above wast level.
But what was most disappointing was no dresser, it either stayed in your suitcase or went on some wooden shelf in the closet.
Let me mention, the coffee maker positioned as if it was a work of art to be adorned.

My husband and I stayed here for a short Anniversary trip. Villa d’Estrees is a charming independent hotel, in an amazing location that is close to everything in the heart of Paris: The Louvre, Notre Dame, shopping, etc. You can take the Metro/Bus to Eiffel Tower. The hotel staff was professional and accommodating, and spoke fluent English (this is very helpful for tourists). The room has the basic amenities, minus air conditioning (for Summer months). No iron/board, but can be borrowed upon request. Breakfast is also available with reservation the night prior. Price per night is mid-range because it is at the nexus of multiple landmarks. We will stay here again if and when we return to Paris.

Hotel was very charming with very large rooms. The staff was incredibly helpful and made our trip to Paris a wonderful experience. The location was fantastic as you are surrounded with restaurants and shops and the train is right around the corner. It's a boutique hotel with two buildings across the street from each other. There were two rooms per floor and can't stress enough how large the rooms were for being in the heart of Latin Quarter / St.Germain neighborhoods. We had a great time staying here and would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Paris.

They were really helpful with all the questions we had and helped us make reservations to places we couldn’t find availability…. Overall they made our stay a very pleasant one. Paris is a beautiful place and this hotel is a really good representation of the Parisian hospitality. If we ever do decide to visit Paris again we will definitely stay here again:)

LARGE Room. Close to Notre Dame and restaurants. Fantastic staff! Lots of assistance in finding the perfect restaurant and were especially helpful locating a pharmacy that could provide a rapid covid test so we could return to the USA. The view out the window is nothing special, but its central location and staff made it a winner for us.

Great location to near by Metro, restaurants, Notre Dame, Chappell, the River and Left Bank Book Sellers. Staff was helpful during stay and arranged concert tickets for us. They were there if you needed them but not overly assertive. Room was large and bed was firm but comfortable. Strangely, they did not provide wash clothes for washing face. I travel with some so I was ok but had I not had them, that would have been an issue as I imagine for most women who need to wash off make up. They provide only towels and huge hand towels and a bath mat. We did not eat the breakfast so can't say anything about that other than they do offer it for a fee. Rooms are a bit dark, could use better lighting especially in the bathroom!! All lights are in bedroom are on one switch so either they are all on or all off. Made fun when my husband was reading and I wanted to sleep. Internet was great. Large refrigerator in the room with some mini bar items but also large enough for you to use for your own items. Great stay and we would return.

The hotel is located in a great area if you want to be in St. Germain de Pres and near the Latin Quarter. Restaurants and cafes are all a short walk and the major tourist attractions are very easy to get to either via a much longer walk, metro or relatively cheap taxi/uber. I would stay here again.

The so-called suite is definitely NOT a suite; it is a fairly large single room. One could call it a junior suite by the usual hotel nomenclature'. Our room was dark and poorly lighted with very little counter space.. The shower could only be used hand-held. The sink drain did not work well. Next door is a very noisy pub; could not open window in the evening due to noise. Neighborhood is grubby. Some rooms are nicer. Almost only American guests.

Do not stay here. I have no idea where all these positive reviews came from but I suspect likely friends of the hotel owner. The room and lobby both smelled like a damp basement and the thermostat in the room reads 22C/71F degrees but the room is actually 25C/77F degrees way too hot to sleep and the thermostat cannot be adjusted. So open the window? The Irish pub adjacent to this hotel is opened until 5 am no kidding, and the noise is intolerable even with the window closed. So sleep late ? good luck with that if the cleaning lady does not wake you up banking the vacuum off the wall of the room next door then the 630 am on the dot every morning keg delivery to the Irish pub certainly will.Breakfast is a joke, one step below a continental breakfast.The staff are extremely courteous and the location is good.

Let me make this short and quick, hotel is aged and not 4 star by any means, frig was hoter than room and leaking water, breakfast waaaay overpriced and bland, shower water oscillating from hot to cold, old horrible mattress, took the stairs one day and hand railing came out of the wall with a gentle hand, air conditioning was horrible and noisy.... There was more, but I'll stop as they taken enough time from my day.

This quaint hotel is ideally located in a lively neighborhood convenient for exploring the city and major sites. It's tiny: a few floors with 2 rooms per floor. As such the hotel itself was quiet, however as you're in a bustling part of the city, noise from the street and pub below travels up, often into the wee hours. That said we loved being in the heart of the action. The room was cute and roomy. My only complaint was the bed comfort, which was quite firm. When we noted it to the staff, they immediately offered us a pillow topper, which helped.

The front desk staff all speak English fluently and know guests by name & room number. During our 9-night stay, they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and ensure we had a great visit. They made us coffee and called a taxi when our car service did not show up for our airport departure.

Great Choice!
Stayed here with my daughter for 10 days. Great location for walking and right next to metro and RER. Staff is very courteous and helpful. Room was large and comfortable. My only suggestion - supply ear plugs for guests. You hear the late night revelers on the street some nights and you definitely will hear the garbage trucks that arrive at 6:30am each day! All in all a great place to stay in Paris!

The pub downstairs had intoxicated people yelling in the street until the wee morning hours. They could serve alcohol until 5 am...not fun. Could not sleep. Also, bed was very, very hard. It was equivalent to a comforter on the floor. Concierge service was ok. Room was big, but looked directly into an office building across the street. Not where we wanted to spend January wintery mornings holed up. We ended up staying somewhere else after the first night even though it cost a bit more to do so. We were very happy with that decision.

Our room had a double deluxe bed. It was so comfortable. Firm and good for the back (not fluffy and soft). We slept like babies. Marina greeted us with a smile and was very receptive and helpful. The rooms have a handy free phone that has internet and free calling. Although we didn’t use it - the idea of it was very practical and good for tourists. We did not eat at the hotel but they offer room service and a breakfast similar to all the cafes. And it is located in a great, super busy/touristy neighborhood. Many restaurants and cafes and only a five minute walk to the Seine and Notre Dame. We would go back for sure.

What a lovely lovely lovely hotel - hidden away gem but so near to all sights within walking distance. Hotel room was very very spacious compared to many stayed in in Paris - very unusual size for location - and bed was unbelievably comfortable - that was my only concern on looking at the pictures online but how wrong was I. But what probably sets this hotel apart was the staff - so so helpful and friendly - amazing assistance helping us with tickets so we didn't have to queue - telling us the secret entrances to sights so we didn't have to queue longer than was necessary - even ordering us an Uber on their account for us to pay less for a taxi. I originally booked room only as thought may eat out for breakfast however we ended up eating breakfast every day in the hotel and with unlimited coffee meant was amazing value for money and the croissants were honestly the best I have ever had - and I've sampled a few believe me! we were stuffed! Would definitely stay here every single time I am in Paris again and have already recommended to friends who are travelling in January. Re rooms - we were on the first floor - I'd read on Trip Advisor that some experienced noise from the pub next door but I can honestly say there was absolutely no noise and I'm funny about being disturbed so am always conscious of that - windows all double glazed. Loved Villa D'Estrees - pure gem.

The location is great, the room was big and spacious and overall the room was clean and comfortable. There pillows on the day bed/sofa were ripped and not in a good condition. the main reason that we did not want to spend our whole trip was the bathroom/shower. The shower curtain was very dirty on the bottom and mold all over it. the fan above where they put the towels was very dirty and it looked like it has not been cleaned for a very long time. IT really made taking a shower unpleasant and uncomfortable. The price of this hotel was not cheap so we were really disappointed to see that after paying that much. Other than that it was a good hotel in a very good location.

The Villa D'Estrees is the ideal Parisian hotel
I read numerous reviews of Paris hotels before deciding on the Villa d'estrees for our October Anniversary trip and we feel we made the perfect choice. This 10 room boutique hotel offers an ideal quiet location but just around the corner is a vibrant area of cafes, restaurants and shops. It's within walking distance of practically everything - the Seine, Notre Dame, the metro, the hop on bus, the Louve, Musee d'Orsay (our favorite), Luxembourg Gardens, and the list goes on. Other important features- it has an elevator, it has good sized sleeping rooms (hard to find in Paris), it has a safe, it offers breakfast, it offers room service, it offers laundry services , it has a mini bar in the room, it has reliable wifi, it was very secure, and the staff was very helpful and offered to make dinner and taxi reservations. There is no onsite parking. We stayed in room 401, the tub/shower might be a little difficult to access if you have mobility issues. We highly recommend this hotel!

Well located, clean and comfortable. The staff accommodated our every request to include arrangements for transportation. We had a second floor superior room facing the street and found it to be quiet when the windows were closed, even though there is a popular Irish Pub next door. One dinner recommendation would be Chez Fernan. Also don't be afraid to use cabs in Paris. There is a tourismo close to the hotel for \"skip the lines\" tickets and for a nearby boat tour down the Seine. It was also very safe

We loved staying here. The staff were so friendly and helpful!! Willy especially was the best. He helped us so much - with everything from helping us with our lost luggage, navigating the city with public transportation, making reservations... It was so nice, especially when we had never been to Paris before. Our room was spacious and clean with a cute view of the side street below. The hotel is in a great location. Super close and walkable to many main sites, and also shops and restaurants. We would definitly stay here again!
