The staff in the hotel were incredibly rude on my arrival. They kept cutting me off saying I needed to wait to check in at 3:00pm. I kept saying I paid for the previous night so that we could check in earlier. I pointed out I had emailed the hotel the day before to remind them. I could see that they had rented the room out from the screen the receptionist had open. Once she finally admitted I had done that ( after showing her my confirmation email). We still had to wait over an hour so they could clean the room I had paid for. The hotel is in a great location. The rooms are very small, we were told we were given an upgrade, it had three beds side by side against one wall that filled up the length of the wall. Not an upgrade because I booked and paid for 2 singles not three beds pushed up against each other. Another thing I have to mention is that there were two hanging black and white old photo framed pictures of old movie stars , it was their nominal hotel theme. They were the exact same picture! And it was not done in an artistic or quirky way, it was as if they could not care less about the surroundings.

I mixed up my dates and the person at the front desk went above and beyond in assisting us. Had a really nice room for the night and she credited the night reservation I made in error to the stay. When I booked this hotel the pictures had the look of a quaint boutique hotel. When we arrived, it was as if it was a bait and switch. I never book a hotel under 9.0 and this turned out to be an 8.4 when we looked it up after arriving. The room was tiny and the breakfast buffet was minimal with only eight tables.there was a line of folks waiting to be seated in the tiny room when we finished. The lobby literally had 3-4 seats and a vending machine. The hotel was a bit down a somewhat sketchy alley. I did not pick a winner this time.

Lovely little hotel in a great location! Less than five minutes to metro and Notre Dame, but far enough back that there are tons of local restaurants/cafes nearby (Highly recommend Pepita for dinner and Maison D’Isabelle for life changing croissants). Staff were all very friendly, and the rooms were spotless. Had breakfast one day and it was okay, very basic. Would stay here again for sure!

We had a great experience at Hotel Central Saint Germain. Room was clean and adequate for our needs. The staff were lovely. The hotel is tucked in a small side street so quiet but still close to the metro and Notre Dame. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Not much shopping, only tourist souvenirs spots. Go to the pharmacy on the corner!

We are a family of 4. The main bed is two twin beds pushed together. Then they gave us a 3rd twin bed and the 4th bed is an uncomfortable folding bed.

This made the room super cramped and no space left to move around. There was one chair to sit on and barely enough room to pull it out from the table.

The hot water kettle had a leftover dried ramen in it and smelled like vinegar so it was unusable. We had a travel kettle with us so did not bother to ask for it to be changed. I did let housekeeping know it needed to be cleaned.

Everything was clean and the actual beds were comfortable, except for the folding bed.

The staff were professional and the breakfast set us up well for the busy tourist day ahead. The only addition that would have been nice to have would be a small refrigerator in the room otherwise perfect for our stay in Paris.

Highly recommend for family stay

Beautiful hotel, so clean and well presented. For the centre of Paris, very spacious room and children were delighted to have a bed each rather than sofa bed to share. Shower was huge and wheelchair accessable in beautifully appointed bathroom. Lots of lovely touches like tooth brush and shaving kits. Excellent location and very friendly staff.

The staff here are fabulous! There is a lift which was great, 24/7 reception. I was travelling alone and my room was small and dark but it was adequate for what I needed as I only really slept there. Location is excellent if you want to be in the Latin quarter. Handy to laundromat, cafes shops and metro. Value for money. Staff really are excellent!

I really like the Parisian authentic look the hotel has. However, some upgrades wouldn’t hurt. The hotel has lots of potential! The location was perfect for us with many nearby transportation and restaurant options. It can get loud at night with the theater and restaurant next door, but it’s not a deal breaker unless you’re looking for an early night sleep. Most staff are friendly but a few won’t say a word to you. Breakfast is ok, nothing fancy. Overall hotel was good for what I was looking for in Paris.

Desperate need of renovation

This was my first time in Paris, and maybe, just maybe, the 150-euro room (with February rates, in the middle of the week) should be like this, but… this room needed a desperate renovation. The brown carpet with brown spots on it might have been clean, but did not look like it. Everything in the bathroom was a bit loose, with the adventurous detail having warm water in shower tap coming from left and sink tap from the right side.
Everything else would have been OK, if there wasn’t that incredible terrible small of some sort of cleaning liquid and the fact that hotel personell had quite a few knowledge about English language (like everybody else in this city…) at least most of them were polite.

Room was spacious enough for 2 people. Only down side is that the elevator was super slow literally superrrrr slow. Overall, great experience and I will book again

The lobby was cute. It is in an area that is walkable and easy to get to. It is not in a quiet area. We were disappointed that the hotel was so warm. The only option was to open the window and my daughter was bit by many mosquitos, and the bar across the street was very loud. We had to ask for toilet paper every day of our stay.

Having never been to paris we were worried on safety, cleanliness, walkability, but this hotel was PERFECT! The staff were so friendly and nice, we loved it! Was the perfect location to Notre Dame, Subway, amazing restaurants. We will definitely return. All staff good English and our belongings were all kept safe! I couldn't recommend this more. We were two females traveling alone and this was the best!

This small cute clean hotel locates on a small street so it's quiet. Yet only a short turn to main streets such as st Mitchel and St Germain. It's a very short distance walk to University of Paris. Good vibes area with restaurants and Cafe shops. We even walked to the beautiful river and then walked to the Louvre. I would take buses rather than subway so you can enjoy the beautiful architecture of Paris. Hop off at the area that you like and ride the bus again. Just a note that during our stay there was some minor remodeling on top of our room but only a short time. I booked the room with 2 single beds and it's still not much space to move around.

Very small room and bathroom. The vent fan did not work in the bathroom, leaving a musty smell for the whole room. The tub had only a half door, so the bathroom floor would get wet when using the shower.
The person at the front desk was rude, she said that special requests are just requests, they don't have to honor it, I should confirm with the agency. I am a vegan, and there was nothing in the breakfast, we pre-paid for room with breakfast. There was no fresh fruit at breakfast, it was only canned fruit.
Patricia was the one who helped me out tremendously. Shout out to her for going above and beyond, going to the store to get soymilk and fresh fruit for breakfast for me.
Location is great, but overall, not worth the price, in my opinion.
