Overall, a very good value option for the Latin Quarter of Paris. The rooms are rather spartan...a twin bed, very small desk with a chair and a small bathroom. Concrete floor. So this is not the height of luxury. But it is a solid choice. Clean. Well kept. Even cute. Well located. Friendly staff. I would stay here again.

I really enjoyed my stay here and thought it was a great value for the location. The staff were friendly and helpful. I loved the dining options around and there’s easy transport connections. My only critiques are that a few nights, I heard loud music from my room that seemed to be coming from the ground level; nothing earplugs didn’t fix, but not ideal. I had breakfast one morning at their restaurant; the omelet was great but the croissant was not good. Overall, I recommend and plan to look here again when I return to Paris.

Hidden gem in Area heart of Paris, our bathroom layout was not accommodating, sink was almost on top of toilet. we chose the 2 bunk beds bedroom, great for a family of 4! One bunk bed was pretty unstable, needs adjusting- but mattress were comfortable! Room temp got too warm so we opened window to cool it! Staff was courteous and helpful- and coffee shop in the lobby was surprisingly good w a varied menu and the waitress goes above and beyond!

I stayed for two nights as a solo traveller. The location is excellent. Walking distance to Pantheon, Luxemberg gardends and Notre Dame Cathedral. 1 short walk to Metro stations and also close to Sain Germaine area. If you do not mind small rooms, this hotel is reasonably priced and well situated. I would definitely stay there again.

I really like the vibe of this small hotel. It’s super convenient, unpretentious and friendly.

You are steps away from the metro to go anywhere you want. Pantheon, Luxembourg Gardens, Mouffetard St, Notre Dame are all within walking distance. And there are lots of restaurants, cafes, boulangeries all around.

I love this place, I’ve been there before and I will go back!

The staff were very nice. Room size was fine. Bed was very uncomfortable. Shower was nice and hot with good pressure. There was no tea/coffee facilities or tissues in my room. There was a bottle of water supplied when you first arrive but this was not refilled. Quite a lot of the cable television stations were not working (both English & French), and the ones that were, stopped. Unfortunately the staff didn't know how to fix it.
Location was excellent. A short walk to the Pantheon and Notre Dame. Bus stops and Metro stations close by.
Also, I sent an email regarding laundry facilities, which was not answered. There is no laundry facilities at the hotel (although mentioned in amenities on Hotel.com) , however there is a laundromat about 5 min walk away.
Also, a courtesy email regarding the road works out the front would have been appreciated.

Booked a superior room - it was a comfortable size for a 6 night stay. Location was great for sightseeing, the hotel had a decent-sized elevator and a good cafe. The room was quiet and the queen bed was very comfortable. The room had all of the modern amenities (USB plugs, Bluetooth speaker etc)
I had read some of the complaints about the bathroom and water spraying - the shower pressure is intense and the design doesn't quite keep all of the water in the tub, but it really wasn't a deal breaker for me. Just use an extra towel on the ground!
Only complaint was that we had the fire alarm go off two nights in a row due to an issue with the heating system. The night staff handled it fine but some form of compensation for two nights of disrupted sleep would have been a nice touch.

The area is perfect- close to everything to walk to and great restaurants everywhere!
Only complaint was the noise and construction outside. I would request a room opposite the Main Street so it will be more quiet. There was noise starting every morning at 5 am whether it was the garage trucks, or the construction or people yelling up and down the streets. That’s my only complaint.

As a tourism professional and well travelled person, my theory is that this hotel has an unimpressive façade, small missable entrance and dark, gloomy interior. My taxi driver had difficulty finding it. The current roadworks nearby makes it very inconvenient for taxis to drop you off or pick you up or to roll your luggage on rough, uneven pavements. This hotel is very overpriced for its very basic and small rooms. Mine had a bathroom with a bathtub and shower hose that was impossible to stand up in and use due to sloping roof. Had I known that, that would have been a definite deal breaker for me. Thankfully I only spent one night. Not good value for money at all. Stay elsewhere with an equally good location but better facilities.

Helpful Staff. In my mind, the best rooms are on the upper floors facing Rue Cujas .. more light and air, and potentially quiteter!

This hotel is conveniently situated near Luxembourg RER (6 min walk) for rapid transit to CDG. Central location is ideal for 3-7 day visit and for guests who do not plan to spend a lot of time in the smaller rooms.

Rooms are very small very typical in Paris. We got almost everything we needed in our room except hair conditioner. Tea kettle was there too. First room we stayed had a unpleasant smell like sewage or fungus in bathroom so we asked to change room and the hotel

French theory hotel is in a fantastic location for the RER B line and short walk to metro. We walked to the Louvre and Notre Dame and Catacombs. Felt safe always. We thought the beds were very comfortable, the A/C worked very well. Our only complaints were the rather sketchy WiFi and our shower leaked all over the place so a big puddle formed in the bathroom.

Lovely hotel for a solo traveler

The hotel staff were incredibly warm and welcoming and the room was comfy enough. I will say that the bathroom had some water issues - no matter how well I closed the shower door water would end up all over the floor after (perhaps the sealant has a leak) and the sink is far too small to wash your face in without getting water everywhere as well. Otherwise, it was a very comfortable stay, especially for a solo traveler.

This is a small hotel in the Latin Quarter. It is definitely a good place to stay for a short stay of 2-3 days in Paris. Stayed for 4 nights. Very nice hotel, modern with a quirkiness that is endearing. Has a coffee house that opened 24/7. Staffs are helpful and friendly, speak good English. Location is perfect. Minutes away from metro, straight to Gare du Nord or to CDG airport. Many attractions within walking distance: Norte Dame, Pantheon, Luxembourg Garden, Sombone university, Louvre, not to mention many eateries hidden amongst the Parisian buildings and alleys.

The staff at the hotel were exceptional. They were all very pleasant, polite and helpful. Our room was small with no storage for clothing, very few hangers and one coat hook. Bed was comfortable and air conditioning system worked well. Bathroom was also small but clean and housekeeping passed everyday to replenish our towels and change bedsheets if requested. We had a very nice stay.

Perfect landing spot. Small very well designed rooms. Excellent service. Cheerful, comfortable. I've stayed in some very depressing and dingy Paris hotels in this price bracket and this place is a real find. Couldn't be better located. 5 minute walk from RER so very easy to get there from CDG. Only one thing: bathroom lighting makes makeup application very challenging. Maybe now that men are wearing makeup hotels will figure this out.

French Theory was exactly what I wanted: just enough space for me and my suitcase, a private bathroom, and walking distance from lots of sightseeing spots. Easily accessible by Metro/bus as well. Room was clean and cozy with a functional air conditioning system (a must in spring/summer). Less than a block from L’Ptit Grec creperie, where you can get the best crepes in town.

I had only two complaints:
1) the shower leaks significantly across the bathroom floor. I had to mop it with a towel and ring it out several times. If you roll up one of the big towels and keep it at the base of the shower door it helps a lot. (Photo included)
2) toward the end of our stay, the building next door began construction. This isn’t French Theory’s fault, but the noise was aggressive from about 8am on.

Besides that, it was perfect for our stay in Paris. Bonus points for the cafe operating 24/7, too!
