The problems that arose were poor housekeeping services; the television did not have a cable connection (the cable was hanging from the wall); Internet service was intermittent for the entirety of our 11-day stay, with no service for the last three days; and the power at the hotel went out twice. Not the block, just our hotel.

Hotel was very clean; breakfast plentiful, but breakfast room rather small in busy times, sometimes requiring a wait. Single room size reasonable, bathroom tiny but functional. Room numbering rather strange.
Staff could have been more welcoming!
However overall a pleasant well situated hotel for a short stay.

The location was excellent as it was an easy walk to Notre Dame, shops, restaurants, Luxembourg Park, and the river Seine. It offered an excellent breakfast, and the staff was helpful and friendly. The only negative issue was the lack of space in the bedroom.

Good location. Mold+maintenance severely lacking

Came for the Olympics. It was HOT. No air con which is somewhat common in Paris so that wasn’t unexpected. The tiny balcony was so cute. Loved it!!! The location of the hotel was amazing as well. The shower was horrible!!! Mold and rust everywhere. Broken tile too. We wanted to watch the Olympics at night after touring. The guest room tv had no remote and couldn’t get one from the front desk. The tv in the main suite wouldn’t get any local channel that showed the games. Someone came to fix it 2x. Just pressed some buttons and threw up their hands saying it’ll work, just wait. After day 6, my husband thought to swap cables from the second bedroom that couldn’t be used anyway. That worked! So we had 1.5 days of Olympics. Ridiculous that they didnt think to check the cable. On the last day, they brought the faulty cable we gave them and put it on the second tv! Seriously??? Paid way too much for what we got.

The hotel needs a refresh, had some ants in our room on one of the days, not sure how they got up to floor 5. I found the area really good with some nice bars and restaurants reasonably priced near by. Stops for line 10 of the metro are very close which is handy if going to Roland Garros.

Unfortunately this property is very expensive for what it is. 350 euros per night ($524 CAD) for a triple room, which means one double bed and a single, right next to each other. The bathroom is so small a person could not get undressed in there, which is very challenging for a self conscious teenager toying with her parents. Shower stall tiny, no products in the bathroom, elevator old and rickety, tiny and hot, no air conditioning in the rooms and a fan that barely works with no convenient place to plug in. Poor experience and too expensive. Staff very friendly though. That was nice.

The people were great. We had a room with twins. Pretty sure this hotel says they have AC but that consists of just a fan in the room. Problem was we were on the top
Floor and heat rises and 85F days outside make that somewhat unbearable. Wouldn’t do that in the summer again.

Convenient Hotel

The Hotel is in a great location - very close to the Cluny Museum and within walking distance of all the major sites.

Although the room, and especially the bathroom, were tiny, everything was comfortable. If I had any complaint, it was that the elevator was unreliable. We took the stairs a lot.

Everything was brilliant at Home Latin. There was 3 of us in a room and there was plenty of space and amenities. The hotel is perfectly located in a quiet street but also 5 minute walk from the notre damn. All staff were friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended!

The two elderly staff in the evening are not friendly. We have a large group stay there for 5 nights. We asked for a tea mug so many time, but the two elderly staff refused to let us borrow. They gave us the paper cups instead of the ceramic cup with bad attitude.

Chosen for it's location and price, it provided us a base for exploring Paris. Location good. Room bigger than expected. Bed well used and could do with a new mattress. Small amount of mould on wall. Noise between rooms (expected in Paris) but double glazing worked well reducing outside noise.

This is a tired and used hotel. Very small rooms, even smaller bathrooms (knees touch wall when on the toilet). No amenities, no glasses or cups. It is also very noisy, walls are thin. Staff refused to change our room. Would not recommend.

The hotel was perfect for a home base for visiting the city of Paris. It was in an excellent location in the Latin quarter, very close to other neighborhoods. There were many dining options, as well as small grocery stores. There were multiple public transportation options near the hotel, such as bus stops, and metro stations. The hotel is walking distance from Notre Dame.

It was ok. Pictures look better than reality. Website checking was at 2 but I was told my room would not be ready until 3. I would have made other plans had I known. The best thing was definitely the location. I wanted to stay in the 5th but my go to hotel was booked. Next time I will mist likely Judy stay in another location if my hotel is not a available too expensive for the room I had.

Stayed at the hotel for four nights: they won’t refill your water or your disposable cups. My request for this service was denied: apparently, they only give you water or cups to welcome you, for your first night stay, it doesn’t matter that you stay for four. The walls are transparent- you will hear your neighbors with perfect clarity.

No aircon, but a fan was provided and we could sleep with the window wide open, so just about bearable in the heat. Our room was small, in the roof with a cute little terrace. The location is amazing - you can easily walk to Notre Dam and Louvre. Good restaurants and bars locally.

The hotel is ideally located within walking distance to metro and bus stations and all major sites. Lots of good shopping and restaurants nearby. Pleasantly surprised with size of room for 3 with great view. Although lots of activity and tourist attractions nearby, the hotel is perfectly located in a quite side street. However, with the exception of the young lady at the front desk, expect the usual Parisian charm which translates to no service.

The property is old and outdated. The room I occupied had very thin walls. There was broken glass in the shower which I did not see until I stepped in and pieces starting sticking me and then I could not get out until I was through. The entrance to the shower stall was very narrow, at best.

The overnight receptionist did not provide warm customer service but the morning receptionist was very attentive and helpful. I had to look through my suitcase and the overnight receptionist did not want to turn on the light in the sitting area and we were the only ones there. This was about 4:45 - 5am. There are nicer looking hotels on the other side of Home Latin. I would not recommend it, despite the helpfullness of the morning receptionist.

Wonderful location, just steps from Boulevard Saint-Germain and a boulangerie serving sublime baguettes and fresh croissants.
Easy transportation by Metro directly to Roland Garros Stadium, the Louvre; walk to the lovely Luxembourg Gardens orSeine River and observe the monumental task of rebuilding Notre Dame Cathedral.
Staff are pleasant and helpful, merci beau coup.

Comfy cozy central Paris 5th arrondissement Pantheon, Sorbonne location in wonderful Latin Quarter. Easy walks along the Seine, to Luxembourg Gardens, and everywhere you might want to wander…
We’ve stayed here twice, and will again.
Modest, friendly, just what we need accommodations, with wonderful nearby cafes, parks and restaurants.
There’s no AC, so keep that in mind, but a decent room, tv, fridge… and charming flowery windowsill or little balcony.
The staff is always helpful and friendly…

The hotel has a friendly staff, it’s in a safe and clean neighborhood, and you can eat in touristy neighborhoods or choose to eat where the locals do in the Sorbonne. I really loved the location of this property. The hotel itself was very clean and comfortable to be in and was in a great location. My main concern would be the service. I had to ask every day for room service to leave coffee, milk, stir sticks, etc. I was told that they did not have glass cups in the hotel and was given small paper cups that I couldn’t even hold to drink out of with hot coffee in it. On our final day we had to carry our luggage down three floors as the temperamental elevator was not working and after all that when we needed a taxi to take us to the train station the gentleman at the desk made one call for a taxi and when it was busy, he told us we would have to walk three blocks to get ourselves a cab. I asked him to try again as we had two oversized pieces of luggage and he said no it’s only down the street. I was very disappointed and upset. I would love to go back to this hotel in the future but not with the way it is being run at the moment.

There’s a really strong potpourri smell in the room. My husband has asthma and couldn’t breathe because of how strong it was. I asked the front desk for help and he said he would bring a fan but never came. The elevator stopped working no warning. We ended up leaving early.

Good hotel. Just needed one room overnight before flying out of CDG. Since my flight was later in the day, I figured I could stay in a fun part of the city instead of up by the airport. The latin quarter is one of my favorite places, and this hotel was nestled just a quick walk away from the seine, place st. michel, and all the lively streets around there. I had a fifth floor room that was simple and clean. The front desk worker was amiable, and the place was nice. It's an easy ten minute walk to an RER B station that'll take you up to the airport with no transfers (just make sure you catch one going to Aeroport Ch. de Gualle and not one going to Mitry-Claye! that's just a general Paris tip, the RER B splits after it leaves Paris so keep an eye out for the destination of each train). No complaints about my stay here, thanks for a restful night.

This hotel was nowhere near as nice as the pictures show or its ratings suggest. The elevator only goes up 5 flights so if you are unfortunate enough to be on the 6th floor, you have to drag your suitcase up a flight of spiral stairs. If you are unfortunate enough to be on the ground floor, there will be constant activity outside of your window, including people sitting on your windowsill, from the bar across the street. In addition, please be aware that the breakfast is not free & not very good. They should warn you up front that there is a charge for it, and for 10 euros per day there should be much more selection.
