We stayed happily at the Villa Pantheon 29 years ago and they have not upgraded or improved a thing since!
This tired hotel needs a lot of work. Old slow with no security access elevators, ripped wallpaper, scuffed walls, mold in showers, dust + grime throughout.
We booked a deluxe room, the highest rated and the room was a small sitting room and bathroom with a sleeping loft up a ships ladder! They reluctantly then offered a smaller room which was just grubby and worn. It was late by then and we decided to tough it out. DONT STAY HERE.

Terrible 4 nights at this hotel. First they gave us a room for 2 instead of 3 people (2 adult and 7yo child). They declined any responsibility saying it was Expedia's fault. They did not try to help with this issue in any way. On the contrary, they tried to sell us another room. That was only the beginning..... The hotel room was humid, pillows had a bad smell. Bathroom curtain was beyond dirty. One night was super noisy, drunk people were yelling and singing in the street nearby until 2am. They also managed to loose my son's stuffy in the bed during housekeeping. This is too bad the hotel looks good, location is great with some very good restaurants nearby.

I had minor issues throughout my stay at VP. This is not a bad hotel but it isn’t as impressive as I had hoped. I would describe it as a very good 3 star hotel.

First, the mattress was too firm and left my hips sore each morning. My converter wouldn’t work in two of the outlets. There’s a coffee machine in the room which is great, but the off brand nespresso pods are really weak and disappointing. My key card demagnetized twice and breakfast is okay but I wouldn’t do it more than once.

The staff told us the room would be quiet, we were woken up every morning at 8am by tiles being cut next door. The soaps in the bathroom were all watered down. When a staff member when to open a bottle of wine for us, a swarm of fruit flies flew up from where the wine opener was being held

Four stars is a stretch

This hotel is very well located, with adequate space and storage. The bed was comfortable. However, calling it a 4 star hotel is an exaggeration. There was only one available electrical outlet in the bedroom. In order to use the floor lamp, one had to unplug the television in order to get power. Breakfast was nothing better than you would find at a 3 star hotel. A bottle of water was provided for convenience, but only on the first night. A resort fee was charged, perhaps due to the presence of a pool table in the bar? Overall, I cannot say that this hotel was good value for what it charged.

In the first hour after arriving we found that there were tricks to flush the toilet so it would stop running and the curtains + rod fell from the window to the floor. The staff was mostly attentive and knowledgeable for fixing these issues but the building has seen a better day. Breakfast could be better.

The location of the hotel was great. You can walk to the love, Notre Dam, and the Parthenon! The staff was wonderful and couldn’t be more helpful. We were upgraded when we got there and the room was great. It had a lovely balcony and plenty of closet space and a mini bar. I would definitely stay here again. The food options around the hotel were wonderful. There was also a market that you could walk to.

A perfect small central hotel on the Left bank

This is a typical Paris Hotel, old and with a lot of character. It has a very friendly staff and a warm welcome every time we came through the door. We have stayed there a number of times and found the location ideal, with many places within walking distance. Though nearly 80 we did walk a lot and the location was perfect. Like any old building it has old electric points that are nor enough now for charging phones and laptops, but this can be ignored too.

It was adequate but absolutely not a four star in my book. On the plus side it is beautifully centrally located. On the minus side the coffee materials in our room were not taken away and neither were they replaced for the next day. The door stop in the bathroom remained lying on the floor unattached. The staff were nice and friendly though it has to be said that the young man knew virtually nothing and needs serious training. Had this been advertised as a 2 or 3 star hotel none of this would have mattered, but we chose a 4 star, and sadly we were disappointed

Great Location, Simply OK Stay

When I arrived, my first impression of the hotel was the staff watching me struggle with two large suitcases as I tried to get through their revolving door. When I opened the door to my room, the first thing that hit me was a sewage smell. Strong enough to notice every time I returned but mild enough to get used to once you've been in the space for a bit. Finding an outlet within the room to charge devices was difficult. I ended up unplugging the television. The shower head was broken and dribbled water rather than spraying it. The location was the redeemable aspect of this stay. It is easily within walking distance to many sites and restaurants.

4nights in Paris - highly recommend

Great hotel in a perfect location. Our room was large room 405, 2 windows and balconies, comfortable bed and roomy bathroom. Ten at reception was so helpful, he is the reason I gave the hotel a five star (other staff also were great). Restaurants and train stations were close to the hotel, there are 2 laundromats within 300m from hotel and an award winning croissant bakery just down the street/hill ‘La Maison d’Isabelle’ (170m). My only complaint would be the in-room coffee machine, it just did not heat the water to what we are accustomed, but not a deal breaker.

We spent 4 nights in 2 rooms at Villa Pantheon. The rooms were small but there was a door in the hallway that we could close and create a private space for ourselves and easily go between the two rooms. One room had a balcony and view of the street which we enjoyed. We spent New Year’s Eve here and popped a bottle of champagne on the balcony.
The staff is helpful and speaks English. Breakfast is included which is nice. It’s not substantial but it’s enough to get you going.
There are a number of dining options here and we could easily walk around and explore or jump on a train to get to various locations in the city.

The Hotel has a prime location that is near the central monuments and museums. It is a 20-minute walk to Place de la Concorde or a two-train 15-minute Metro ride. It is quiet and stately, and the staff tries hard to please. It is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the Paris tourist center that you obtain a true sense of Parisian life. The Bistro just to the east is wonderful for an easy dinner, as is the wine shop across the street for an afternoon glass of wine and fromage. To the south, towards the Pantheon, are many choices, from an elegant Le Coupe-Chou to serval places catering to the Sobron students. We stayed five short nights and wished it to be more.

The hotel room was very dated and the wallpaper was faded and had stains. There was only 1 plug on one side of the bed. Also, the hand held shower fitting was broken so it did not stay upright. The safe was not working which they did fix after 2 reminders. The hotel was not inexpensive.

Villa Pantheon was quite nice. Latin Quarter is a great location with both bus and Metro stops nearby, nice dining options, and nearby services including pharmacies, laundromats, and nail/hair salons.

There is no van or shuttle service available as advertised. The bathrooms are modern, and the breakfast is good -- coffee, teas, juices, fresh fruit, breads and jams, eggs and of course, pain au chocolat and croissants. They also serve the meats and cheeses and cereals and yogurt.

Service was good, but there were many new employees who did not seem familiar with the locale and the property.

We stayed here for only a couple nights but had a great time. Rooms were clean and spacious, bed was large and comfortable. The continental breakfast was quite good too, with a nice selection. Air conditioning was not that strong but I think that is normal for many European hotels. There is a nice looking bar as well; we didn't have a drink there but it looked comfortable. Location is outstanding, literally just a few blocks away from the Pantheon or Notre Dame Cathedral.

2. Bar area was never open therefore wasted space for consumers and guests. Almost like staffing discouraged extra work for themselves. And, masking the seating and amenities such as soft drinks, coffee, cocktails, and snacks. Seating was plenty inside and just outside the hotel but always vacant causing non working motions by staff and inadequate pathways to various drink’s although available at the hotel.
3. Coffee was horrible. Fourth visit to Paris worst coffee in Paris.
4. No creamer or milk available for coffee.
