A little get away

Within walking distance from The Notre Dame Cathedral. The staff was always friendly and helpful. Arrived a few hours early and let us leave our luggage in storage till check in time while we explored. Space is small but definitely gives you all you need for a comfortable stay. If you need a clean, comfy and friendly place to stay while you visit Paris I would definitely recommend here.

El servicio de todo el personal fue buenísimo. La cama muy cómoda pero el cuarto tenía olor fuerte como a cuarto cerrado mucho tiempo y el baño es demasiado pequeño. No hay división entre el inodoro y la ducha, así que se moja todo el piso de todo el baño, incluyendo el papel de inodoro. En general, el personal y el desayuno al igual que el lobby y la decoración fueron lo mejor.

What a great hotel. The feeling started from the check-in when we were greeted so warmly and it was so relaxed. Then we saw one of the cats chilled out that gave such a chilled and caring feeling to the hotel. Room was clean and perfect as a base for exploring. Lovely breakfast choice and helpful information about busy times in the lift.
Bathroom was typical Paris size (bijou) but had everything you wanted and needed.
Definitely recommend.

Great hotel, friendly staff who gave wonderful recommendations for nearby cafe's and restaurants when we checked in early and waited for our room. For the American's out there, the \"double\" beds are indeed a large Queen or even King Size mattress.

The room was clean and beutiful but so so small.
The closet shelves were filled with the kettle and supplies and my husband (who is big but not that big) had trouble moving around the room. I am glad we only brought carry ons because I am not sure if we would have been able to open 2 full size suitcases there. Other than that, the room was lovely, modern and tidy. The shower stall was nice as well. And the staff were accomadating.

In the center, near the subway and cafes and restaurants, many bars around, recently renovated, everything is new, good modern design.
The room is small, it is difficult to get into the shower cabin, the closet for clothes is very narrow, so I have no idea how to fit 2 people's clothes in winter. I would say that the hotel is suitable for short visits.
You could hear a bit of the subway, which is somewhere deeper under the building.
But this is Paris...

Horrible! Old and dated. Rooms don’t look like pictures on listing. Shower is a mess, carpet is gross, water damage everywhere, stained mattress, sticky hangers, no bath amenities, and the list goes on. The older man at the front desk is a dick. Left after on night.

The wifi is not working. The manager gave us 3 networks and none of them were working, even though he told us that it was not working because we had to log in from the lobby. Still, it didn't work and the following morning admitted there was a problem with the wifi. I had to work and couldn't do it. The elevator was also broken and we had to use the stairs. Don't go to this hotel if you need wifi because it's not working at all!

Hotel com boa localização, 100 metros da estação Cardinal Lemoine (linha 10) e 300 metros da estação Jussieu (linha 7). A região também é boa para quem gosta de sair andando para diversos rumos, o que é não nada difícil de fazer em Paris.
As instalações do hotel são novas, o quarto que ficamos é pequeno, mas de tamanho normal para esse padrão de hotel na cidade, a cama é grande e confortável. Tem cofre, frigobar e chaleira elétrica e também uma grande TV. O café da manhã é servido no subsolo e na área da recepção tem uma máquina de café disponível 24 horas para os hóspedes. Como surpresa ao final da estadia o café da manhã foi cortesia.
Enfim, gostamos bastante da estadia.

Good location. Dirty, dirty, many broken items, Broken electric plug, ripped blanket cover, smells.AC broken for 2 nights out of our 3 night stay, dryers exhaust seems to be connected to the main went. Woke us up on the 6th floor at 7:30 am. Some employees have no masks. And to top all of that off someone came into my room without my permission when i clearly had a do not disturb sign on the door. That's never fine, especially while covid. At least some employees are nice, but others are obnoxious. And again, dirty and smelly.

Comfortable stay, but room was a bit run down

I recently spent two nights at the Hotel Vendome St. Germain. The location is great, easily within walking distance to a bunch of sites and restaurants. The lobby of the hotel is cool and modern with an espresso machine, which I always appreciate. I also believe I saw a wine machine of some kind and some snacks, but not sure what that was about. We booked a standard queen room, which was furnished in a kdoern way, but was kind of run down. The surface of the nightstands and desk had water damage, the box spring was uncovered and stained pretty badly, and there was some damage on the ceiling with possible mold. The blow dryer was really dusty and I tried to use a provided shower cap and found that the two boxes labeled with a shower cap we’re both empty, which was annoying. Despite this, the room did appear clean and my husband said that during his bed bug search, the mattress looked brand new and had a legit cover on it, which made me feel slightly better. Although we were told there was staff available 24 hours, we left at 6am and found out we had woken up the night staff which made us feel like jerks. Overall, the stay was mostly pleasant. While I’d likely stay here again, I’d explore other options first.

Very convenient location. There were complimentary bottles of water in the lobby, along with fresh fruit, coffee and several newspapers in different languages. The staff was quite helpful in giving us directions. The room was very quiet; comfortable beds. While not large, it was comfy. We had everything we needed for our stay. The location of the hotel was excellent—walking distance to a couple of metro stops and to lovely areas on the left bank.The room was a nice size and it was pleasantly decorated; the bed was comfortable. I specifically booked this hotel because Trip Advisor advertised that the rooms had A/C, and it worked the first night we were there, but we were denied access to control it on the second night of our stay and had to call several times on the third night to get it resolved. As we were trying to get this resolved, we were treated rudely by the man working at night, who seemed to be cursing at us in French while calling technical support—this was the biggest issue I had with our stay. Additionally, the sound of trains underground was louder than expected, even on the sixth floor. There was mildew in one of the windows and peeling paint on the ceiling, which I could have overlooked if I had been treated more respectfully as a guest. I would not stay here again.

Fabulous hotel!

This hotel is absolutely fabulous! The location is excellent, being very close to two Metro stations, and a short walk to the Sorbonne and the Pantheon. There are many restaurants and shops in the area, as well. The staff was very friendly and hospitable, and the room was spacious, modern, nicely decorated, and extremely clean. This is my new favorite hotel in Paris, and I will definitely return there on my next visit!

Conveniently located small hotel, 10 minute walk from the Seine/Notre Dam. Good area for restaurants, bars, local bakeries - all an easy walk. Metro station 50m away. Our room was well maintained, bright and airy - we were on an upper level and had double patio doors that opened up allowing a lot of light and fresh air which made it very pleasant. I did notice that it looked like some rooms open onto an internal courtyard, suspect these rooms would not be as open and bright. The room itself was compact but had all amenities required for a comfortable visit. Good wifi. Was very clean.

The hotel was very expensive, for what we received. However it was a weekend stay. The room was extremely small. The queen size bed filled the room. For me, and I am a person who can adjust. This hotel was not worth the money.
*Breakfast was nothing to get excited about.The front desk guy was interesting.
We were there for one night only. I can not see returning or recommending this hotel to anyone.

Nice Little Pitstop for 1-2 nights

A nice little hotel well-suited to my one-night ‘crash’. It’s at the smaller end of the room-size spectrum, not uncommon for budget hotels in Paris, but the hotel itself tries hard in all areas. It was clean and basic but charming and a very nice and helpful team on reception. I would go back. I didn’t see much of the local area but there looked to be some nice restaurants and the Metro stop is super-close.

Nice but disappointing breakfast

The hotel itself was lovely, but incredibly small (just 30 rooms or so in the whole place), but in a nice location.

However, breakfast was extremely disappointing. We believed we had paid for breakfast in advance although it turned out that wasn't the case- which was our fault. However, we got slapped with a 72€ bill for 3 breakfasts each! Essentially I was being charged 12€ for a bowl of chocopix! And frankly it wasn't possible to make 12€ back with the breakfast as there was a dismally small range of some cereal, a bit of ham, and some eggs. It was most disappointing.

So if you stay in this hotel- and the rooms, whilst small, are nice- I highly recommend you eat breakfast at the boulangerie down the road!

Thought I was told to drs in this area-I found it not to centrally located. Rooms are small/ a/c is spotty. Though I booked connecting rooms they were separate. There was a bug crawling out of my sheets as well. Uncomfortable leaving key with hotel all day yet then being told they aren't liable.

It's a great choice. But some tiny things to improve. The breakfast is not included but they make you feel like it is when you arrive.
And the internet was really slow.

Very modern and we'll presented decor, clean and quiet. The building is standard Parisian sized, and so expect small accommodation but we didn't find the size a problem - hotels in Paris are for sleeping in not lounging in.

The staff, including the manager, were very friendly. Complimentary espresso, wine and croissants in the lobby were a nice touch.

Small well located hotel less than 10 mins walk from Notre Dame. Very clean. Six floors with about 5 rooms on each floor. Reception staff friendly.Good wine bar and restaurant at foot of street, and also excellent crepe stall across from that. Reception staff relaxed and friendly, would certainly go back and recommend to friends! only criticism would be about noisy lift mechanism - certainly loud when staying on floor 6 - although think they are looking into this!

Loved the VSG! The staff was so friendly and accomodating. The lobby is warm and inviting and the rooms were nice. The wifi, location, and price were the reasons for choosing this hotel. Also, they allowed us to leave our bags for the day while we toured the city before heading back to London. I highly recommend this hotel.

We arrived early due to our flight and expected to drop our bags and put our feet up somewhere near by, but to our delight they checked us in very early and we were able to sleep a little before our Parisian adventure. The room was cozy, comfortable, and very clean. We were provided amenities like tea and coffee which helped jump start the day. Hotel is very close to several metro stops. The staff was helpful, friendly, and patient. We CANNOT wait to return.

It's true, hotel rooms are quite small in the city center, but we did not find this a problem. If you're worried about that you are doing Paris wrong.

The stay was great! I really liked the VSG hotel and would recommend it fully.

The staff was friendly and helpful. It is a small hotel and they make you feel welcome.

There is some low noise at times from the metro. I would suggest staying above the 2nd floor if you are worried about this. It wasn't a big issue, but something to note.

Overall I would fully recommend staying here. It was a great visit.

The hotel is small, the rooms are small, but everything has been recently refurbished, so the rooms are new, clean, with great beds and especially nice bathrooms (with huge showers). The location is actually pretty quiet, yet you're less than a 15 minute walk from Notre Dame. Paris Metro station less than 2 minutes away.

Das Hotel war sehr schön, ein super schönes Zimmer, es war alles sehr sauber und die Lage war perfekt - man konnte alles sehr gut zu Fuß erreichen, in nur 5 Minuten war man schon am Panthéon, in 10 Minuten an der Notre Dame. Und wenn man doch einmal mit der Métro fahren wollte, war die nächste Métro-Station nur 100 Meter vom Hotel entfernt. Es war alles perfekt, wir können nichts bemängeln und kommen sehr gerne noch einmal wieder!

Chaos bei der Buchung über Hotels.com. 1 Bestätigung, 2 Abbuchungen.

Im Hotel niemand der proaktiv zur Auflösung beitrug, mein Eindruck: bei Buchung, Bestätigung, Checkin und Abrechnung: Liebenswertes Chaos und fehlende Führung & Kundenorientierung gepaart mit Empfang durch Aushilfskräfte. Relativiert das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis und die ansprechenden Räume, leider. Gute Nerven und hohe Flexibilität erforderlich.

Bem localizado

Hotel muito bem localizado, com muitas opcoes de restaurantes, boulangeries e metro. Check in foi muito estranho, pois o recepcionista estava no telefone e depois de um tempo, ainda no telefone, só nos deu a chave do quarto e fez sinal para pagarmos as taxas outra hora. Quarto ao lado da recepcao, muito barulhento. No outro dia, outro recepcionista, Gerome, foi extremamente simpatico, nos deu opcáo para trocar de quarto e nos ofereceu cafe da manha cortesia pelos inconvenientes. Gerome realmente nos fez mudar a opiniao sobre o hotel! Obrigada!!

En uge i Paris

Fint lille hotel med gode små værelser hvor sengen fyldte det meste.
Pænt badeværelse og god størrelse.
Wifi findes med fungerer ikke og dette er nok det eneste dårligt der er dette ophold.

Personnel sympathique et à l'écoute, literie confortable et chambre assez spacieuse. Le petit déjeuner est complet et copieux. Seul bémol le parking de l'hôtel était complet, nous avons du trouver une place de stationnement dans la rue et avons couru après le parc mètre qui n'était pas à côté. Séjour agréable, nous y reviendrons

L'hotesse d'accueil etait très courtoise. L'hôtel etant complet, nous avons eu la chambre du rez-de-chaussée, finalement peu bruyante, ce qui était notre crainte à notre arrivée.
On sent les vibrations du métro mais ça reste discret. L'hôtesse nous a spontanément proposé de nous offrir le petit déjeuner en compensation.
Au final ,nous avons bien dormi.
La chambre est tres cosy, avec vue sur le mini patio de l'hôtel.
Il y a plein de restos et bars autour, le quartier est très vivant.
Bref,en résumé, séjour très sympa.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Das Hotel war super. Was mich gestärkt hat war die Lautstärke auf der Straße. Wenn man Nachts Ruhe gewohnt ist, ist das schon eine Herausforderung.
Ich würde trotzdem wieder kommen weil die Lage einfach perfekt ist und das Hotel sehr schön ist.

Kun for folk der sover tungt

Beliggenhed var for os fint. Personale høfligt og gode til engelsk.
Værelset mindre godt og deraf min lidt skuffede smiley; vi fik værelse lige ud til receptionen og ved elevatoren, som nogle gange gav støj. Én ud af de 4 nætter vi var der, vågnede vi om natten pga. støj fra receptionen. Ikke slemt, men stadig irriterende. Selve værelset lå ud til en lille gård, hvor ansatte/gæster kunne ryge. KÆMPE MINUS, da vi derfor aldrig trak gardinerne fra eller havde åbne vinduer.
Aircon virkede ikke 2 ud af 4 dage, så der var varmt. Badeværelset var stort men ikke nogen plads til at have sine produkter derude. Bruseren var ikke “lukket inde” så hele badeværelset blev drivvådt når vi var i bad og vandet løb ind i værelset og gjorde gulvtæppet helt vådt.
Vi kunne desuden hører og mærke metroen der kørte forbi hvert 2.-4. minut. Det fik glassene til at klirre hvis de stod tæt op ad hinanden. Det generede os heldigvis ikke om natten, men det kræver vist at man sover tungt.
