The room was good but very dim. They gave us a floor lamp but it didn’t really do much. The bathroom was dark too. I prefer brightly lit rooms (or atleast have the option to). The room wasn’t very clean either, there was dust in the corners. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The breakfast was good too. The location is convenient and close to quite a few attractions with easy bus access to ones further out.

Beautiful design, the gym was one of the best I’ve seen in a hotel, fantastic breakfast and coffee. Great dinner but they didn’t warn in advance that we couldn’t charge it to our room. Wonderful staff. Pricey restaurant.
The bed creaked and the drain in the shower made noise occasionally. lighting wasn’t the best in the room. The room wasn’t tidied in 3 days that I stayed.

The people at the front desk were nice. I just don’t think that this is a 4 star hotel and would echo what a lot of the other reviews that I ignored were saying. You will not be able to hang out in the lounge as it’s packed full of locals and college kids using the free Wi-Fi. You have to request toilet paper and towels, and pick them up yourself. You would think for what you’re paying, these could at least be restocked maybe every other day by the hotel staff. You don’t get housekeeping unless you stay for more than a week (then you get it once) or pay. We were in a terrace suite and got what I believed to be one of the best rooms. It was very aesthetically pretty, spacious, great fridge and mini washer/dryer. We were there for one week. Our room was a wall of windows, however, there are no ceiling lights so once the sun went down, it was a dark cave and it’s really hard to see, frustrating having to walk around with your phone flashlight on. The shower does not stay at a set temp and alternates between scolding hot and freezing cold. Lastly, and the worst for us, we were in Paris in the middle of winter. Our thermostat was stuck at 85°F every single night. We felt like we were suffocating in a dark cave box. This hotel claims to be environmentally friendly and says to only use the heat when needed, so we were confused as to why we could not turn it off or turn it down. This made it so that we could not sleep and were so uncomfortable for the week

This is a beautifully renovated hotel with a lively bar and restaurant. It’s a short walk from the metro station and has lots of good coffee shops nearby. The kitchen in the room was also a nice bonus (who doesn’t love a little late night baguette with French butter). We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

The hotel is gorgeous and convenient to the metro. We stayed for 7 days over Christmas. However, there were some unfortunate problems with our room.

First and worst, the shower only went to SCALDING hot or cold. We brought this to the attention of maintenance, but it was never fixed.

Second, the bedroom floor weren't well vacuumed. I found several clumps of hair on the ground and the hemp mat under the bed shed badly. They're difficult to clean as it is, so don't look too closely.

Third, Bibie charged us a \"tourist tax\" - requesting a tip after dinner.

Finally, upon reservation we had asked it was possible to push the two Twin beds we'd reserved together to make a King. Along with the appropriate topper and sheets, since we were husband and wife and no traditional king room was available. The hotel graciously agreed, but our room was not set up this way upon check-in. I asked about this at check-in and the hostess seemed confused and didn't find any mention of this request in our file.

It wasn't a huge deal, but for the premium price we paid, we were disappointed at these service flaws.

This hotel was SUPERB. Beautiful, cozy, lots of places for sitting and gathering. The downstairs cafe was perfect. Staff could not have been more kind and helpful (especially Gonsalo). The room was comfortable and clean. Location in the Latin Quarter was perfect.

This is a lovely hotel close to many sites. The restaurant is excellent. The room is spacious enough with a microwave, dinnerware, fridge. Very quiet. Walkable to Notre Dame, Sainte Chappelle, Pantheon, and Cluny. Metro 5 minute walk. Restaurants everywhere. We didn't go to the nearby Jardin des Plantes as we went in December, but it looked wonderful. We definitely recommend this hotel!

How this hotel was granted four stars is a mystery for the ages.

The only room amenities were coffee pods and teabags.
No minibar, snacks, or even a bottle of water.

The shower temperature was highly erratic, sometimes dangerously so when it would suddenly spike to scalding. More often it was lukewarm at best.

While we know that Paris hotel rooms do tend to be small, there was barely room to walk between the wall and the far side of the bed and a similarly tiny distance between the end of the bed and the lone table—making night bathroom visits from that side rather precarious.

The only flat space on which to place anything was that small table and ridiculous “nightstands” comprised of tiny semi-circular shelves less than a foot wide by about four inches at their deepest.

In addition, the room was gloomily underlit and often drafty.

Finally, rooms are only cleaned weekly; there are additional charges to have done more frequently. Due to the lack of standard housekeeping, we had to request additional toilet paper halfway through our stay—not something you expect to have to do at a “four-star” hotel!

Great stay at JdV. The trip was a birthday present to myself and when I arrived, was welcomed with a note and a small token for my birthday.

Rooms are small (it's Paris) but have everything you need. Bed was super-comfortable (firm-ish). No issues with noise either from inside the hotel or outside (my room faced the courtyard).

Great location, convenient to multiple Metro lines and within walking distance of many great restaurants, bars, boulangeries/patisseries, and grocery stores.

Would gladly stay here again.

But it’s certainly over rated, the bathroom is very tiny, lighting in the room is dark. BYO a box of tissue and sleepers. During day time the cafe area is pack with young people and you will need to walk pass them in and out of the hotel room.

Be Aware of this Brand's \"Culture\" Before you Book

I stayed for 2 nights with my elderly mother in September 2025. Before you book, be aware that the common seating area/lobby will be packed with young people working on their laptops all day. During our stay, this was to the point where we could not find 2 seats to sit down together. When I inquired at the from desk why this was so (thinking there must be a business conference) I was asked was I not \"aware of the Brand's culture?' I said I was not (my bad, I guess?) I was then informed that their \"culture\" is to open and encourage the use of the hotel's common spaces to all locals, including a nearby university, hence the reason for the packed seating area- a mix of students and work-at-home locals. While this could be considered a noble gesture by the \"Brand\", it was very inconvenient to us, as paying guest, during my two days stay as we could not enjoy the hotel's common areas (which seats plenty with a couple of large tables and several scattered smaller tables and chairs) as almost all, if not all seats were taken from early morning till early evening. When I asked to speak to the Hotel Manager, the Front Desk Manager, (furiously texting the entire time I was explaining my point of view that the hotel felt more like a high-end youth hostel than a 4-star hotel) informed me that the hotel manager was, alas, not available. Surprise, surprise. So I hope the hotel manager sees this written review, as promised.

We loved everything about our stay here. The room was great, spacious and had a lovely view. The location is unbeatable, in a quiet and safe area while still incredibly central. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Some reviews say the rooms are dark but that’s probably because of the great blackout curtains! Our room was plenty bright otherwise. The rooms are well cleaned, though I will say get dusty easily if you’re staying more than a couple of days. It’s nothing too serious but I think a light daily cleaning of the floors, kitchen and bathroom area would easily solve this! I love the refreshing concept of this hotel. The studio apartment style rooms are game changing, especially for a weeklong stay. Access to free laundry machines is a huge benefit and super easy to navigate. Also love the massive co-working space, makes this stay perfect for anyone working remotely. Not to mention the entire property is stunning! The on site restaurant is convenient and tasty, as are the cocktails! I can’t speak to the breakfast quality as we never got it due to being quite pricey, though looked good nonetheless!

The room was a great size for Paris. We had a small couch and table as little kitchen area. The balcony doors were nice to open in the evenings. The hotel had a lovely court yard that we took advantage of. We found the desk staff to be wonderful. There was no daily room cleaning but it was easy to get items you needed by texting through the WhatsApp or dropping by the desk. We stayed for a week so we had one cleaning midway. The area was perfect for us. It was next to a beautiful park, Jardin des Plantes, and Arenes de Lutece (ancient Roman remains amphitheatre) and close to 2 metro stops. The area also felt very local and we even had some nights we sat outside with the locals and had drinks. We loved Vin and Whiskey, Les Petits Pois and OTTO all in close vicinity. If you are into French skincare products there was a pharmacy really near by. Our only 2 negatives would be the 3 steps down to get the elevator with luggage at the hotel but staff helped and the air conditioning wasn’t as good as we would have liked. We enjoy our room very cold. Overall the area was perfect for us.

Everything was spotless until I got into the shower and noticed a glob of long hair stuck to the shower wall. If you’re not on the side where the sun hits directly the rooms are dark and drab. Not sure whose idea was it to pain those rooms with dark warm floors but it doesn’t work. If you order food delivery they will not bring it to your room or allow the delv guy up.

We had a family suite. The sliding doors fell off the wall which was not great. If they fell on our child it would have caused terrible damage. Bad health and safety issue. We reported to the front desk in the morning but it was not sorted out when we got back at 8pm. We could not use the room.

This was such a cute and convenient property! It has the sweetest courtyard cafe, a BEAUTIFUL bar area and areas to sit, relax and study/work. When we first arrived, unfortunately, the room accommodations I had booked were not available. We addressed our concerns to the front desk and they were able to upgrade us to an amazing room towards the end of our stay.
The details in the rooms are incredible! Cup ware, serve ware, water carafe, fridge, bottle openers, etc...everything you might need all in your room! They even had heated towel racks! It was also very nice to have a room with air conditioning (my husband likes to sleep cold) which is hard to find in Paris.
It was also wonderfully situated between two metro stations (the 7 and the 10) which was incredibly convenient. Such a great hotel that I would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Paris

In general we enjoyed our stay. Good location, helpful staff, spacious room. But a few issues came up. First we were given a room on the lower lever. It was very dark-the only windows looked out into the public dining/lounge area so we had to keep the curtains closed. They were able to move us to a higher room the next day. The lighting in both rooms was very dim--only overhead spots, no reading lights. We overheard another patron complain about this as well. Finally, we found a sticker in the bathroom that said the water was not potable! How could a hotel room not have potable water? It was not until the next morning that we got information that this sticker applied only to the toilet and was for people who brought dogs that might drink from the toilet. But we were not told about this up front.

We really enjoyed our stay here, but first impressions count and our initial experience was poor.

First the good, the hotel is in a great area, less than 10 minutes to Rue Mouffetard with all it’s bistros, bars and shops and close to a couple metro stations to get further afield quickly. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms were spacious by Paris standards, plus having a fridge and kitchenette was very handy.

The bad…check in was awful. 4pm seems a late checkin anyway, and being so late means it gets very busy. We waited 20+ minutes to get a room key and our bags, not what was needed after a 3am start and a day sightseeing. Also our initial experience at the cafe/restaurant was poor with very slow, and quite rude, service. We didn’t use it again after that and to be honest there’s far better value on the doorstep anyway.

I had a pleasant stay and I'm very grateful for Nadia's assistance. When I arrived, I was feeling quite unwell, and she promptly arranged a medical consultation for me. That was excellent service from her and the entire staff.

The room was nice, although the bathroom was a bit small. Unfortunately, the kitchen utensils and sponge/towel were not clean, which was a downside. I would also suggest that cleaning service be made available after every 3 or 4 days of stay.

This is remodeled property. We had a city view room that had a cooktop and mini fridge-very convenient. European rooms are small but this was fine. Hallways are lit but I wish the room lights were brighter or had more light. Area is convenient to transportation but you can walk to almost anything you need nearby-cafes, bakeries, convenience stores and the hop on hop off bus stop is only a 15 min walk!

This was my wife and my 1st time in Europe, we were warned about small rooms, and lack of comforts. We did not run into those here. Transportation was readily available by bus and train. The staff was so friendly, the only issues we had were we could not determine how to turn the stove lights off in our room so I had to unscrew the bulbs.

Stunning hotel in the Latin quarter of Paris! Everything was great from check in to check out. The hotel is beautiful and everyone is friendly. The rooms have a fridge, stove top, coffee machine and more. There a gym and laundry for guests use as well which is great. The staff were all beyond friendly here. I would 100% stay here again if I come back to Paris!!

The Locke in Paris was a wonderful stay! My room and the grounds were all beautiful and in great shape. The service by the front desk team- Ismail and Diarrha in specific- was fantastic. They both provided suggestions on how to spend my quick trip in Paris and were incredibly kind. I can’t wait to stay at more Locke properties in the future.

Great location and decor - bar staff were fabulous. However a good few issues - missing early check in request, collapsed bed on check in, broken coffee machine (had to ask twice), the list goes on.  Most serious was the fact that the technician left our DOOR UNLOCKED after fixing coffee machine.  Response to complaints left me seriously underwhelmed.
A real shame as overall the hotel was excellent.

We absolutely loved staying here. Check in and check out were seamless and staff were very friendly. We ate at the hotel restaurant once for lunch and it was great. We didn’t reserve breakfast in advance but did eat it one morning when we were running behind. We regretted not booking it for a few days because it was much more expensive to do it the day of but the food was fantastic. So many options and interesting things to try, plus a coffee service. Area was walkable. We found several great places to eat and drink a few blocks up the street. Front desk will call you a taxi that arrives in like 2 minutes if you want to go anywhere!
The room was on the small side but doable if you stay organized and store your suitcase under the bed. Bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The fridge and kitchenette were great and well stocked with basic cooking supplies. There is not a daily cleaning service but this didn’t matter to us. I prefer not to have strangers rifling through my room. Laundry service, gym and yoga studio in the basement. Beautiful seating area in the main floor for reading or lounging.
Overall, great place to stay. We would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful, central, stay here

Such a beautiful property and room! A little small by American standards, but still plenty of space. We had a nearly full kitchen which we did not use, but the room is modern and the AC ran great! The service at the restaurant/bar was second to none. I find service in Europe in general isn't quite as \"proactive\", but here everyone was attentive and friendly. We had an amazing server that helped us work through the wine list, and the food was amazing. plenty of spaces to remote work, and reception was nice as well. 10/10 will come again!

It is rare that you stay at a hotel where the pictures and promises on their website are 100% accurate. This was without a doubt the best place I have ever stayed at.

The staff were amazing! Joseph was a huge help at check in (so greatly appreciated after a long overnight transatlantic - MERCI Joseph!). All the other staff we encountered were extremely kind and helpful as well.

The location was perfect. Close to metro, impeccably clean and well appointed. In a most fantastic neighbourhood.

If you are going to Paris - stay here! You will not regret it.

Our stay at the Le Jardin De Verre by Locke was great! The hotel is conveniently located by a metro station which made it easy to travel to anywhere in the city, and to the airport. The surrounding neighbourhood is safe and quiet The hotel is beautifully decorated and has all the accommodations needed for a short or long term stay. Would stay here again when visiting Paris!
