Hotel was excellent, brilliant location, very friendly, helpful staff, rooms are tiny and we had a 'superior' room, no shower just a tub, we did not use it for safety reasons we are 73 an 80. Toilet was miniscule had to exit to pull up your pants, and was just a glass door into the bedroom, no ventilation, so embarrassing

It used to be an old medieval house of ill repute. My, how times have changed! And the hillock between the Maub' and the 'Scarpe was roamed by none other than Master Francoys Villon...after the learned Master Albert and Guillaume Budé...peaceful, well most of the time, runs the Seine...Mais où sont passées las Dames d'Antan?

The location was perfect , walkable to many sites… the room was was tiny, which was doable , however there was no shower, only a bath tub with no curtain and a hand held shower hose.. I mentioned to front desk I need a shower, but was dismissed by one worker( most of other staff was lovely tho).. I had great difficulty with my knees squatting in tub to shower, and not get water everywhere…that was my only complaint, plus no view whatsoever..

Great little hotel in a very old building. Left bank, easy walk to Notre Dame, plus lots of good places to see nearby (Jardin des Plante, market, Monde Arabe). My room up in the eaves was clean and quiet with a comfortable bed and a good shower. They serve a continental breakfast so go to a nearby cafe if you want something more substantial. Highly recommended.

No sound proofing (could hear people next door taking and watching TV). Windows are old and do not block out noise from the street. Shower drain was mostly blocked. So, had to run shower at very low flow for short periods of time and shut off to let water drain.

Bed was comfortable, room was clean. Very nice location, about 3 minute walk to Notre Dam Cathedral. Metro stations close by.

The location of this property is great. Award-winning bakery and metro entrance nearby as well as many restaurants and cafes to eat from. The staff are also extremely friendly. What really disappointed me was the state of my room and its accessibility. My room lacked any hooks for the towels and I had to hold the shower head to shower. Also my room was accessible after a set of steps that were really hard to see if I were to come out of my room to the elevator since the motion detection didn’t set in until I was up the stairs. This was particularly difficult with a suitcase.

The hotel was a 10 minute walk to Notre Dame. And very convenient to shops and restaurants nearby. Reception staff was excellent. The rooms are small, however. Continental breakfast was on par with the neighboring cafes. We'll be 8.

More basic than I was expecting. No kettle or tea making facilities in room. Industrial type of chair in room which was very uncomfortable. Breakfast was disappointing, with not much available in the continental breakfast. Luckily there was a lift. Most of the staff very friendly.

This is a fun and cozy boutique hotel. The rooms are definitely small, especially coming from an American perspective, but the whole place is cute and intimate. The staff is very kind and responsive. It's also across the street from a great little Italian restaurant!

In this small corner of Paris, staying here is like staying with friends. They don't pretend to be a big hotel but the friendly help from the front desk beats any of the biggies.
The big bells of Notre Dame cross the roof tops to remind you that this is a really special place.

Beware that the smaller single rooms come with a tub only, no shower. Trying to request a room with a shower turned out to be quite a chore. The man at the front desk was worried his boss would be mad at him. After having a local friend who is fluent in french argue with him for awhile, it was finally resolved. I ended up paying 15 euros more to move to a room with a shower. Fortunately the shower was excellent. The man at the front desk made it seem like I was being completely unreasonable for needing a shower, etc, and said I needed to request that ahead of time via email. So be aware if you are from the US and booking online … you may or may not get a shower unless you specifically request it via email. The rooms are very small but charming and adequate for a short stay. The bed was extremely comfortable. This is a great location near Notre Dame and many cafes.

While the hotel was wonderful in all regards, the desk clerk, Isabel was amazing! Whatever our needs or questions were, she went out of her way to get answers for us. A church for us to attend, a restaurant suggestion, directions, calling cabs, anything we needed.
Going beyond our expectations every single time! The hotel was great and the reason it was great was made better by this amazing woman!

It’s a nice little place. Just know that the rooms are smaller. I did like that. They have an elevator, Very close to Notre Dame and I’m walking distance to little shops around. My room only had a bathtub. No shower.
But I also like that I had air conditioning For my private little Summers. Overall, I like it!

I stayed during the Olympics and it was the perfect place for me. It was very hot in Paris and the air conditioning allowed me to sleep well. The neighborhood is one of my favorites with so much to offer within a short walk and it’s so easy to get there from the airport. Staff was so kind and gave me late check out. I did the breakfast one day and it was nice, with simple but nice options. I’ll be back. Merci!

This was our first time in Europe not understanding how small the rooms can be. This room was exceptionally small with a slanted roof which I bumped my head on a few times. The bed comfort was on, pillows soft - medium. The bathroom was a 1 person bathroom. The shower had a partial door and the water would come out all over the floor when we took a showers. It’s ok for a very short stay, but nothing longer than 1 or 2 days.

Very friendly and accommodating staff! I was only there one night but thought it was comfortable. The rooms are a little basic but had all the amenities I needed. Great location for getting around the Latin Quarter and restaurants/shops at Saint-Michel. Half a block away from the Seine and Notre Dame with views of the spires, but not a full view. Easy to get other attractions by walking or public transportation.

There are a million shopping and dining options close by, most of which are independently owned giving the neighborhood an authentic feel. And as a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe. Clara and Nora at the front desk were great. Enjoyed talking with both of them. The location of this hotel is great! The RER goes straight there from Charles de Gaulle, and there is a bike rentals (Holland Bikes) right around the corner. We rented two bikes and rode all over Paris. Wonderful way to see the city. Breakfast at the hotel was a very good value. We ate breakfast out once and wished we had just stuck with the hotel's breakfast.

Wonderful for a long weekend getaway! Perfect location, a few minutes from the RER B train direct to/from the CDG airport, plenty of food and drink places around, great for neighborhood walks and very closed to St. Germaine blvd with restaurants and bars and shops. We LOVED it!!!! The staff was great, friendly and helpful. We will come back here!

The ONLY issue we had was the lack of space in the hotel room. No space/place to open your suitcase -I barely found space for my backpack, forget if you have a larger suitcase or if a couple would arrive with 2 suitcases - there is no place you can store it, let alone open a suitcase. But it is what it is and the hotel is otherwise fantastic!!!

Air conditioning kept going out and light out staff maintenance not full time so if something is out they have to wait until they are back on shift to fix anything. Staff April was kind but everyone else didn’t wanna be bothered with ya. You have to leave the hotel key at the desk when you leave then track someone down to get it back when going to your room.

Set your expectations: this is NOT a luxury full service hotel and does not try to be. It is a clean, safe, air conditioned(!), small boutique property that is in an awesome location near Notre Dame and the Metro and a great place to lay your head after a long day of sight seeing. GREAT VALUE. Staff is very friendly. Walkable to tons of great restaurant options in Latin Quarter. So the elevator is cramped and slow. So the rooms are small and the walls are a bit thin. So you use an old fashioned key to get into your room and you leave it at the front desk. Who cares? After a long day of seeing Paris, you want a safe, clean, comfortable, friendly place to go to freshen up and rest. That's what you get. Recommend!

Nice, small hotel in a fabulous location. Rooms were small, as are most hotel rooms in Paris. Bathroom was clean and provided all we needed. Surprisingly, the hotel was quiet for Paris, mainly because it faces away from the road. There was more noise on our second night because the hotel was fuller, so could hear other guests moving around due to creaky floorboards in this old building. Staff were friendly. Lots of nice local restaurants within close walking distance and a lovely area which feels more ‘French’ than the other side of the Seine. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

This is a tiny hotel that barely fits two regular sized people. I spent a little more to stay in a junior suite at a different hotel close by and what a difference. Staying at a different hotel made me realize this hotel was not worth staying at. The unit with a view of Notre Dame is laughable. You see ugly rooftops instead.

On a quiet street between the Seine and St Germain, the hotel gives you easy access to Ile St Louis, Le Marais, the metro and fabulous shopping and restaurants. This is my favorite part of the city to stay. The hotel is clean, the staff friendly and nicely appointed. The fireplace in then lobby area is a lovely spot to relax after a long day out.

You can't beat the location. And the way it's almost hidden on this tiny street. We stumbled on this hotel 15 years ago and it's now our go to hotel in Paris. Our favorite aspect, out of many, is the \"rooftops of Paris\" veiw from the 5th floor rooms. Breakfast is perfectly fine, staff is lovely and speak English if needed.

LOVED this hotel. Our room had a beautiful view of the surrounding Parisian rooftops & facades, with big windows. Comfortable bed & pillows, nice bathtub with a handheld shower-head (no standing shower), but perfect for our needs. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Location couldn’t be better - within walking distance to everything; the Seine river, metro stations, restaurants, etc. Hotel is tucked away in a lovely alley, so it’s very quiet. Highly recommend this hotel — we will be back! :)
