Everything about this hotel is wonderful. The location on the l'ile Saint Louis with quick walking access to Notre Dame. Nice neighborhood restaurants and shops. The quiet neighborhood at night and hotel rooms themselves are spotlessly clean. That said, I could not recommend the hotel for guests with serious mobility issues such as those needing canes, walkers or wheelchairs as the elevator stops between floors so an ability to walk up or down to your room is effectively required. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend this hotel for those who want a quiet charming hotel that is still in very reasonable walking distance proximity to important sites .

This is a lovely boutique hotel in what felt like a very clean, safe and quiet area in central Paris. It's only 5 minutes walk from Notre Dame and close to several Metro stations and the Batobus (boat taxi) stop point. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself is beautifully maintained. We really appreciated the air conditioned room, and reasonably priced mini bar. The room was made up daily with fresh towels and plenty of toilet rolls! We had a 'twin' room set up, which was essentially two single beds right next to each other (no gap in between). This didn't bother us at all, but is worth noting. Overall we loved our stay at this hotel. With only 20 rooms and a 24-hour reception, the hotel felt like a special place to be in, and we wouldn't hesitate to book it again should we return to Paris one day.

We picked this hotel specifically because it has air conditioning. After getting to our hot room, we checked in with the desk downstairs and we're told that the AC was broken and they were waiting for a part. They said they put a fan in our room. It was a very tiny personal fan. Both nights were really hot so we had to sleep with the window open. We woke early each morning to the city noises. Needless to say, we didn't sleep well, or sleep in, either night.
We were disappointed that we weren't compensated in anyway. Even sending a bottle of wine to our room would have been a nice gesture.

This little gem was a 2 minute walk from Notre Dame cathedral and also within a few seconds amble of several very good restaurants and bistros. As it is on a little island there is virtually no traffic noise and the cobbled streets nearby have some interesting individual shops. A very nice powerful shower and a little balcony were icing on the cake.

Wonderful staff. Top floor room had great little balconies for peering out on the streets below, or letting fresh air in. Great location - near a main Metro station, surrounded by higher end patisseries, ice cream, restaurants and confectionaries. Steps away from Notre Dame and a five min walk to the Latin Quarter or Le Marais. Quiet part of town. Our room was small but well laid out with nice touches (heated bathroom floor and towel rack, TV in riser at footboard). We can’t wait to go back!

We got to the hotel at 11:00am, but, since our room was ready, the desk clerk graciously let us into the room early. The staff was similarly thoughtful on several other occasions. We have been coming to this hotel every year for about two decades, and the positive changes we noted this time were that the hot water didn’t take more than a few seconds to arrive, and that the heating of the room was more effective.

My family loved the design of the rooms although they were small but it seems that is normal for Paris. We felt at home and the staff was amazing. The neighborhood was perfect. I will definitely stay here if I get back to Paris. The only CON is the lack of a meeting room where we can gather. We did use the breakfast room but wasn't sure if that was acceptable with the evening staff. Absolutely a great stay and reasonable pricing

Our group consisted of three girlfriends wrapping up a 10 day trip with three final nights in Paris! We chose the Hotel Saint-Louis en I'Isle because of it's proximity to Notre Dame, shopping, dining and overall walkability throughout Paris!
The owners/proprietors were very friendly, helpful and assisted us with transport from the train station and then taking us to CDG on Sunday!
The facilities are newly updated, with plenty of attention to details !! I would only suggest another wall mirror in the main bedroom area, and a coffee machine in the breakfast rooms !

Very special stay for my granddaughter and me!
Although we were looking forward to staying on the Ile Saint-Louis, the company moved us to another property, Le Presbytere, about a block south of the Centre Georges Pompidou. Apparently, the Hotel Saint-Louis en l’Isle had too few bookings (COVID) and some renovations were not complete. They informed us of the move about a week before our arrival and the property was splendid! Housing for clergy attached to a church made into a hotel! The hotel is in the center of a walking shopping/dining closed off street area but central (walkable) to a lot of the must-see sights. The only caveat is there was no elevator (not a problem for us) and the stairs are fairly steep and narrow up to the fourth floor. The hotel is impeccable! Incredibly clean, beautifully furnished, and felt like it had been renovated yesterday. We will go back and stay again but will also try the Ile Saint-Louis property too. If it’s as well done as Le Presbytere, it’s a winner too. Also, high praise for Clement and Desaru (sp?). Extremely helpful and cordial.

Loved the staff but couldn’t sleep because I could hear all sounds while in bed, I felt that theres no soundproofing at all. Had to leave the next day and forfeit the payment for the night. They did not refund me and I understand. The location can’t be beat though. If you can sleep with earplugs on, this is a nice little gem in Ile St Louis.

Found this gem in the heart of Paris, great location (5 mins walk to NotreDame, 8mins walk to Saint Chappel, Pont Marie metro station is 5mins on foot and Hotel de Ville metro is 10mins walk away). Hotel propmptly responded to messages sent via Expedia..also provided with an adaptor free of charge during our stay which was a life saver (we forgot a take a UK 3pin to UK 2 pin converter with us). Couple of good restaurants within couple of minutes walk right next to river Seine. Breakfast was ok and fills you up. Will definitely be staying here again when we are back in Paris. Room was obviously cramped and a small lift (can fit in max 2 people at a time with luggage), thats standard wherever you stay in Paris. Free Pringles and tea kettle provided in the room which was a bonus.

Even though the room was small it had everything to make our stay amazing and comfortable. I loved the decor of this beautiful building and the beds were really comfortable. The shower was hot and had lots of pressure. What makes this the perfect stay is the location. The Island is quaint and close to everything. But the icing on the cake was the staff. They went out of their way to help us and could not have been kinder. Very joyful and super attentive. The only negative was the Wifi which was spotty at best.

It was a great place and good location. However, on the website it says 3 people can stay in one room. It was a little tight for three (2 adults and 1 child). We end up paying extra $$ for the hotel to bring in a trundle bed.

Our room was a bit of a tight fit with our two big suitcases, but we managed fine. Bathroom probably renovated recently, very clean. Negatives: conversations from neighboring rooms were audible at times, and forget about sleeping late, because the maids bustle about noisily starting around 9 AM. Will probably book a room here the next time we visit Paris.

The hotel is in a great location for walking or catching the bus and metro. It is also on a quiet street while still close to shops and restaurants. The rooms are normal, fairly small spaces but beautifully appointed and comfortable. Some rooms had elevator access, others might be a bit difficult to access on the winding stairs if a guest had a mobility issue. It would be important to let the hotel know this before arriving. The staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay.

Everything was good/great (especially location) but I just couldn't get a good nights sleep. The hotel is loud in that you can hear everything going on - footsteps, bangs, doors, etc., I guess because it's an old stone building, which gives it charm and ambience but also makes it hard to sleep. I am not a light sleeper.

Location was lovely and on an island in the Seine. Staff was friendly and helpful. Charming hotel. Cavern-like breakfast room. Our room size typical of older building - small, but adequate - AC worked fine - bed was comfortable. Walk-in shower was one of the best with lots of water pressure. If you can't maneuver well with stairs, this may not be the place for you. Elevator is very small and it stops mid-floors...meaning you either have to walk up a spiral staircase several steps or down to get to your room. Carrying luggage can be tricky if you have a lot or very large ones. All-in-all enjoyed our stay - no problems.

We could only fit one person with one suitcase in the elevator - and at the exit from the elevator was an unguarded staircase. The receptionist who greeted us was lovely; the person on the next shift was curt, and told us they had no room (despite being checked in for 12 hours).

What an incredible change from the Eiffel Tower area!!! We were at another hotel near the Eiffel Tower the 1st 2 nights and couldn't get away from the throngs of people. Then we thankfully made the change to the 1st Arrondisement -- to the Hotel Saint-Louis en L'Isle, and the original, charming and quiet Paris -- for our last 4 nights. My partner had never been to Paris before (this was my third visit), and he was so struck by the difference between the \"new/touristy\" and \"original/charming\" Paris. Saint-Louis en L'Isle was built in the early 1800s (the Isle St. Louis itself built once the bridges across the Siene were no longer wooden and could support the carts bringing all of the stones), in the Marais and very easily walkable to Notre Dame, St. Chapelle, and the Conciergerie. The breakfast in the little \"cave\" underground, the concierge, the ambience, looking out of our balcony onto such beauty, I could go on and on. This may very well be our last visit to Paris. We are so very thankful we stayed here!
