Simple but adequate room: you get what you pay for.
But first night a ceiling water leak near the toilet. Dripping every 5 seconds, audible even through the closed door (and you hear the neighbors snore). Reported it in the morning. Passed by during the day and asked if it was fixed: confirmed: returned at 10pm: nothing done, leak still dripping: complained to the front desk :Reply \"Not my problem, I am not going to apologize for it, fully booked nothing can be done: want free breakfast to get you out off your bad mood?\" What kind of customer service is that. The next day it was fixed but they still denied it ever happened.

The hotel is old. No phones in the rooms or other amenities.

Wonderful sitting room with free coffee and tea until midnight. Breakfast is typical French in the basement. Lovely atmosphere. Staff speaks English are helpful and enjoyed my stay.

In considering the exceptional VALUE of this place we have got to give 5 stars. Amazing staff, best location, house keeping was on the ball. Definitely will be back!

This was my first time in Paris so I have nothing to compare it to so here’s why to expect:

Rooms are small— this has to be a high rent area so to be expected. We liked having everything in reach and we’re not at all bothered by this

Room was pretty moist. It rained everyday the week we were there so again… to be expected

This does not qualify as a hotel. It’s a small apartment with individual rooms rented out, and it looks nothing like the photos advertised.
After checking in and realizing the situation immediately, we asked to check out early. They refused and also refused to provide any written confirmation that we left right away.
Misleading listing and very unprofessional handling. A terrible experience overall.

Horrible hotel, DO NOT STAY HERE. I'm not overly picky, and was travelling solo to a few cities in Europe. This is easily the worst hotel room I've ever stayed in. For reference, I typically stay in 3 or 4 star hotels on the more cost effective side, and certainly wasn't expecting a view of the Eiffel tower when I booked this place. However, I was hoping for a decent bed and a clean bathroom. Visibly moldy in the common areas and certainly in the room, with a horrible odor to accompany the visible mold. The bathroom was awful and shower was hardly usable. The bedding was stained with mascara and other unknown things, and didn't seem to be properly clean. I was on the top floor and there was an obvious water stain in the ceiling, almost certainly from a roof leak. I asked to be moved to a different room but apparently they were fully sold out (hard to believe). The location was great and very walkable, but the room was incredibly disappointing. The state of the room did not come close to matching the pictures shown online. Hopefully I'm not headed home with bed bugs! I repeat, do not stay here...

The room was horrible terrible smell carpet is filthy room was so tiny and mold by the window a long chunk I went downstairs and I asked the guy there's anyway you can change he told me he doesn't have the software computer to change things around and he went upstairs without my permission he put a spray in the room I was standing by the door he was talking to the housekeeping in their own language when he came back I thought he was going to help me and he said I put some nice spray I'll smell better now I go upstairs that's the bad smell I have allergy and I told him we made things worse all night long my head hurts my throat itch and by the time I went outside how did dinner I came back he already left and came back open the window nothing help the young man that was for the night shift at least he listened he didn't know what to do about it but the guy that he checked me in he has no care whatsoever he doesn't give a damn first of all before you spray you could check with the person if they are right there in front of you you don't know what condition what health issue they have I did not appreciate that for the money you pay with mold windows broken stuff no phone for emergency never wrote a review this is first and last horrible I've been traveling for 20 days different countries and disappointed on this hotel I will never come back and I will never give this hotel name to anybody to book them self specially if you have allergies that's the worst place to be and I do hav

I loved how the boutique hotel, where we were treated like guest and not just people to be herded in and out. There was a lovely room to just have coffee and breathe in the Parisian charm and the breakfast area felt like a jazz spot. I’d stay again if we are blessed to return to Le Marais.

We stayed for 6 nights. First impression was not good. Carpet in hall dirty, chipped paint everywhere. Room had a dark color seeping through the paint in the corners (mold?). However, the bed was comfortable and clean, cotton sheets. Bathroom was reno'd shower was excellent, hot water was good. The room is super small, no fridge, micro etc. There is a Coffee maker. The rooms did not smell musty at all. We also had a tiny balcony that we used a lot. Wardrobe was brand new. We did not eat in the restaurant.

The Expedia website shows beautiful pictures online and all good reviews. Our room had black mold on the ceiling and in the bathroom. The light fixtures were coming off the wall. The carpet looked like it hosted a homicide scene. The comforter had rips in it. I spoke to Mohomid, who said he couldn't move me to another room because they were booked and suggested I speak with the manager. Well, the manager was NEVER available. I looked at other websites, and this hotel had horrible reviews. Expedia, you only post good reviews, which is misleading

We were greeted with stale, stuffy air as the AC was not working & carpets that appeared to be reclaimed form a 90’s nite club, complete with the sweat and spilled booze! Upon entering the washroom we were greeted with hair covered tile (all black hair, as my wife and I are blonde, so no it wasn’t ours). Don’t stay here if you’re over 5’ tall or over 120lbs, as the washroom will not accommodate you. Turning around in the shower causes you to turn off the water flow. Shower shoes are a must. We wore shower sandals the whole time in our room, and I don’t even use them in hockey dressing room showers. The surrounding area was fantastic tho, it is in a great area of Paris. Just grossly over priced in my opinion for what you get. You can’t charge just for the neighborhood you’re in, you need to provide decent accommodations for that price.

I have stayed here before. No glamorous front desk, and the rugs in the hallways are very shabby. The rooms are clean and big, very spacious. The breakfast is excellent and in a charming room, as well as a charming room for coffee and tea. Great location! right on the Rue de Rivoli. If you want a good bed, big room, clean, great location and great breakfast, this is the place. If you want high end style, look somewhere else. I love this hotel.

Location Location Location! could not ask for a better place for those who like to walk. Stayed 6 nights. Definitely needs an upgrade and no air conditioning, but there was a fan in the room. There was a bit of mould in the shower but everything else was very clean. The staff was exceptional. The salon on the second floor was very nice, especially since we were traveling with multiple family members in separate rooms. The air conditioning seemed to be permanently broken, with laminated signs in the rooms telling us that it was out of order, but no indication beforehand telling us that it was out of order. This was especially a problem because Paris was having a heat wave. The elevator broke down twice during our visit, which was rough being on the 4th floor (American 5th floor). Our rooms were tiny to begin with, but after we returned to Paris, we had a much bigger room for one night. It would have been nice to have that big room when we were there for a full week. We would stay here again, unless we travel during a heatwave!

This hotel was cute, quaint and convenient in dining and shopping locations as well as easy to use the metro. The hotel was clean and staff was available 24/7. The ac was broken and that was one reason we picked this hotel in the middle of summer in Paris was for ac for when we slept. The cost per night was high for no amenities. Coffee is also only available after 2pm in the lounge which was a little weird. Staff was friendly.

One big problem was the AC did not work.
The front desk did not say anything about it.
Once I was in my room there was a label stating the AC was not working.

It’s excellent located, very friendly and helpful staff that speak many languages. We love the breakfast area and croissants were so delicious! We stayed a weekend 3 nights and have 2 different rooms. The one with the balcony was very nice for the balcony but the bathtub really high not for old people.in their website advertised that it has AC but it didn’t work in any room and they said ii wasn’t hot.(we wanted just to cool off. Sunday night we didn’t have water to flush toilet, wash our hands or shower but they offer a bathroom in the first floor and we were in the fifth floor so we couldn’t go in the middle of the night until we left 7 am. We couldn’t shower before travel. I’m not sure what was the real problem or if this happened often.

The hotel is ideally located on the Rue di Rivoli, almost across the street from the Hotel de Ville and a short walk from Notre Dame, with a Starbucks only a couple of blocks away. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, but modest enough to afford on a budget. Mostly it was the staff, who were always friendly and prompt with any needed help.

An added bonus is a laundromat just a stone's throw away in back. Note that it's an automated laundromat with no attendants and the instructions are all in French, so be ready with a translator app on your phone.

Property is old and has that \"old smell\". The photos on Expedia are nothing like the real thing. Rooms are small, no fridge and TV only in french. Aircon was broken and by looks has been for a while. Elevator was tiny and 2 people and 2 suitcases just fitted with a lot of sqeezing or walked up the stairs.
Staff were pleasant and location of hotel was close to most attractions, if not Metro station or buses were nearby.

Most of the front desk staff was nice and helpful. The hotel smelled stuffy and needed to have windows open in order to ventilate; there was a water vacuum constantly running on the second floor due to pipe burst and flooding. No phone in room, no mirrors other than in bathroom. Tiles in bathroom under sink were broken and there was a hole in the wall with exposed drainpipes. Very high bathtubs difficult to maneuver. Had to be asking for clean towels every day; had to ask for shower gel and shampoo on the first night of our 8-night stay as it was not replaced. The breakfast staff was not very friendly, and the items provided were limited. Common area living room was pleasant for afternoon and evening gathering with family and friends, coffee and tea was complimentary. The furniture in this room is in very bad condition. Friends traveling with us had a room on the 3rd floor across the hall from us and their bathroom constantly smelled of sewer. Management was not accommodating to issues encountered. Will not return.
