This hotel is a solid choice if you want a great location and aren’t looking for new or upscale rooms. The staff is exceptionally helpful and friendly. The location can’t be beat and it’s very safe and quiet. The shower was temperamental and ridiculously tiny and the carpet had definitely lived a full and vibrant life. If neither of those things are important to you. This is your stay.

The location of this hotel is excellent. It is just steps from the metro (not too far to Louvre, Musee D'Orsay, etc) and easily walkable to Notre Dame, which made our trip very convenient. Unfortunately, the condition of the rooms did not meet expectations. The carpets and upholstered furniture were noticeably stained (my husband usually does not notice but he felt the floors were very dirty too), and I often found hairs in the bed, which made it difficult to feel comfortable. The bathroom, while functional, felt quite outdated. We stayed because changing hotels mid-trip would have been a hassle, but overall, the comfort level was not what we hoped for and we likely would not return.

This was a fabulous hotel nestled in the centre of the Latin Quarter. Rooms are usual size for Paris but very well organised with everything you need. Great to have a fridge in the room. Lovely lovely staff which made our trip so great. Particular mention to Fahed on reception what a lovely person and so helpful and knowledgeable about the areas in Paris. The hotel we felt was in a very safe area. The hotel runs parallel to a fantastic street with loads of cafes, bars and restaurants. Two metros within a 3 minute walk of the hotel meant travelling to other areas of Paris was a breeze. Brilliant location. 10 minute walk at most to the Pantheon. On the Rue Monge and all around there are great places to eat and have a cold beer or wine. Loads of choices for breakfast. Thanks to all at the hotel. 😁

The hotel staff were all incredibly helpful and kind. Located near Place Monge and the Pantheon, the hotel is convenient to do business in town. It is an easy walk to the Institut Henri Poincaré and the Jussieu Campus. Of course for seeing around the city and visiting numerous restaurants nearby were also fun to do on foot.

In a city with ridiculously high hotel prices, this quiet, comfortable hotel steps away from many of the top sites is a true deal. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the place was quiet and the room, in our case, was bigger than any other European hotel we've ever stayed in. Small shower but man the water pressure was heavenly!

Decent *** tourist hotel in the Quartier Latin

Very pleasant hotel in the Quartier Latin section of Paris, between two Metro stops and close to several bus stops.
My single room was fine with a French bed, coffee maker, TV, and a safe in the room. The bathroom was small (as in most tourist hotels in Paris) with a shower stall of barely a square meter. The shower head could not be fixed since the mechanism was broken. When I arrived, there were strands of long dark hair on the bathroom floor (I am bald!) and collected hair in the shower. Not a sign of thorough cleaning between occupancies!
The reception and breakfast room personnel were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was well stocked with some hot items and continental breakfast goods.

Easy and Nice Stay

I stayed here for two nights and had a very good experience. The front desk was very friendly and both check in and check out were very speedy. The rooms are small but for two people very doable. I was happy to have a refrigerator and water bottles as well as really good shampoo and lotions. The bed was clean and it was remade during the day when I had left the hotel.

I think most importantly the location is excellent and feels very safe. I was a solo female traveler and this was important to me when I was looking. I think this was the perfect place and I recommend !

They were getting common area carpets replaced which I was made aware of. When I returned at the end of the day, the contractors had my door ajar which I was not made aware of & concerned anyone had access to my items. Banging started early the next day & a contractor let himself into my room without knocking. I was angry at this as had only recently stepped out the shower. Complained to management who didn’t really seem to care. Doubt I would book again.

The hotel is in close proximity to several major metro stations - gateways to all of Paris. It’s location in the Latin quarter makes it a plus, especially if you’re into old bookstores, small city parks, excellent cafes on every corner. Close to several pop up markets with fruit and vegetable vendors, amazing cheeses, and charcuterie. We wouldn’t stay in any other arrondisement given the ease of access to all of Paris from the 5th. L’hotel et tres jolie!

The hotel is nice, bed was comfy, staff was great. Extremely unhappy with the wifi connection, because there was no wifi. I went to the front desk and told them it’s not working. The staff member said he would try and call me or knock to let me know. Which didn’t happen. The next day at 10am the wifi was STILL not working. You would think the hotel would have a plan b for their guest, but they do not. Again they said “sorry”. That’s not what I wanted to hear. I wanted a solution. I would not recommend this hotel if you need internet to complete work stuff.

Rooms are very small and compact (I could hardly fit in the shower) but it was safe, clean and in a great location – in the Latin quarter, away from the throngs of tourists on Champs-Élysées or in Montmartre, but close to two Metro stations and within walking distance to many sights (we walked almost everywhere). Terrible customer service experience. I chose the hotel as the first stop for my honeymoon. We were checked in after 2 pm and were told we have a breakfast after 7 am tomorrow. Surprised, I asked whether the lady is sure that breakfast is included and she said yes. I know from friends that some hotels upgrade your room or give complimentary food or drinks when they have honeymooners so I thought they were just being nice. What a mistake...
The morning after I went to check out and I gave my card back which is the time when people normally tell you if you need to pay anything extra- nothing. The man just switched on the lights for breakfast. We grabbed two croissants and we went for the suitcases. Surprisingly, the same man stopped us and said we own him something like 27-28 euros. As everything is booked and paid through Expedia, I thought he has just made a mistake. However, he said we had breakfast to pay for. I was shocked. There was absolutely no label at reception breakfast comes at an extra cost, neither I was told at any point that two croissants will cost me almost 30 euros. I explained to him that the day before when we checked in, a lady told us we have breakfast and when I asked her whether it is included, she confirmed. Of course, he said that this is not. He laughed at my face, listening to his loud music. The problem was mine, not his obviously. Not to mention coffee is paid separately. I have never experienced more arrogant behaviour in my life before.

The staff was absolutely amazing. We went during the Metro strike at the very start and were terrified we wouldn't get a cab back to the airport in time. The concierge at night was incredibly helpful. He called in a favor on our behalf and we had a cab waiting for us promptly in the morning. Could not recommend this place enough, purely for the incredible staff.

I'd stay here again

Great location, very close to the Metro and many good places to eat within easy walking distance. The front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful.The room was a good size and we especially enjoyed the balcony. The water was hot and abundant and our room was well serviced every day.

The cushions (not pillows) and the chairs in the breakfast room had old stains. As far as i’m aware everything else was clean, if a little dusty, but this looked a bit unprofessional. Also I arrived to breakfast an hour & 1/2 before it ended but food & coffee was running out & I was told would not be replaced, tables were not cleared away & reset & I thought the staff listening to her phone with earphones in was very unprofessional

Great location 2 metro lines close by, laundrette opposite a drinking hole, Le Petit Cardinal café right outside Cardinal Lemoine Metro entrance and great friendly staff there to serve icy cold beers and great food....awesome
The accomodation was great, small but comfortable...typical situation for Paris unless you want to pay big dollars

I stayed in room 55 and the carpet wad the dirtiest and most stained carpet I’ve ever seen in a hotel room. I didn’t want to walk on it in my bare feet. If I didn’t look st the floor, everything else was just ok, nothing great. The girl at the desk when I checked out was wonderful. She helped me with the difficulties I experienced with my arranged transport. I’d give her 5 stars if I could.

The room is extremely extremely small. The shower is tiny - you literally touch the walls (and I’m a UK10)
The reception staff knew very little - we asked about restaurant recommendations and directions and she wasn’t able to offer anything.

Horrible customer service, the sheets were dirty and the staff did not want to replace with fresh sheets and worst of all the cleaning person stole 250 bucks out of my wallet. When I confronted the manager on duty she didnt care and just told me to file a report with the police. Will never go back. Worst place I have every statyed at.

The concierge was always available and extremely helpful with dinner recommendations. As with all Parisian hotels, the room and bathroom were small but lovely in decor. It was not the cleanest hotel I've been too, but housekeeping came every day to make the bed and bring fresh towels. Overall it was a good experience.

Fantastic service!

The service at this hotel are second to none! Wonderful especially as they allowed me to check in early. In terms of location, it was fantastic and makes getting to the tourist sites a breeze. It is by many shops and food places so nothing is left at expense.

Rooms were nice (a bit small but big enough for limited time spent in them) and good location. Metro a two minute walk and river seine/ notre dam only 5 min walk. My only issue was my room was by the lift so was a bit noisy

Perfect location, lovely room and helpful staff

I stayed with a friend and we both loved the hotel! It was in a quiet residential area about 15 minutes walk from the Notre-dame and there is a square a few minutes walk from the hotel with bars and restaurants. There are 2 metro stations a few minutes walk away on different lines which is useful. There are also shops and cafes in the area which are a lot better value than shopping and eating in more central Paris. The hotel itself is clean, comfortable and modern. Beds were made everyday and clean towels left if needed. There is also free WiFi however it was quite weak. The bathroom is quite small as other reviews suggest but this was not a problem - it is not smaller than other city hotels. We would definitely stay here again - perfect location away from busy streets, staff were helpful and the room was lovely.

Cosy hotel, nicely decorated and well presented, only problem is you can hear everything that’s going on around you from your room very thin walls. But highly recommend going brilliant location metro over the road 1 minuet walk away and supermarket just down the road.

Good hotel in the affordable range

This was the third hotel we’ve stayed in in Paris in the past 18 months and this area was perfect for connecting to public transportation. It’s a very busy part of town but we always felt safe and always found plenty of options to eat. The hotel was pleasant. Super nice staff. The beds were really stiff but we are finding most European average hotels have pretty stiff beds. The only bummer was that our bathroom needed to be cleaned better. We had two rooms and the other was cleaner. That’s really important to me....it wasn’t filthy at all just needed a deeper clean. The shower had awesome water pressure. It was tiny but that’s Paris! I’d stay here again if they had a good deal. It’s a good mid-priced room. Nothing swanky. The photo is a super late night view from our room. Loud streets but we never heard them with the windows closed!

We arrived around 8:00 Saturday (Oct 6). The gentleman at the desk was not friendly or helpful. He did speak some English, but we found ourselves going to a tourist info desk in the city for help with transportation and other general questions. I wish we had the gentleman who was working the last two nights of our stay, as he was very helpful and friendly.
Our bathroom was the smallest we have ever been in—our friends’ was larger but their bedroom area had very little room outside of the bed Our bedroom smelled like dirty socks—our friends’ room did not. Coffee downstairs was $2/cup and there was instant coffee (1 per person per day) in our room. We only received new soap and shamooo the night before we left and our room was not cleaned at all one day. The room thermostat said it was on, but could not be adjusted at all and no fan worked until the last two nights, when it mysteriously was on when we returned to our room.
