The hotel was located a little bit far away from things that I wanted to see, however, the room was comfortable. I was on the fourth floor and the elevator was broken so it was a lot of steps up to the fourth floor. My room was nice and the staff were extremely nice
The only thing that I could say about the room was that the wallpaper was peeling off at one area, and the shower appeared to have a bit of mold in it. The television and Internet was not up to par.
Otherwise, the room was very comfortable. The bed was clean and comfortable, and the staff was extremely nice.

First off, the hotel is on a noisy main street, the hotel itself is very small & basic. Cleaning is very surface, there're mold lines all around the bathroom ceiling and floor, most towels have stains on them, there's no shampoo or tissues. It's very disappointing for the amount they charge which was 30% more than a 4star hotel in the 9th arrondissement just a week prior.

Not a great sleep

Matress was concave and slopping, so I asked for it to be changed. It was, the second was a little better, but both well past it, and affected my sleep. This echoed a sense of under investment in the place. Lots of small things slightly broken or needing attention. The location was good

Little gem!

Excellent room on 6th floor, the view from the balcony was fabulous, good shower too!! Friendly welcomes at all times of day, checking-in and out was lovely and easy.

Location was perfect for us, personally, due to metro stations close by, and either short stroll towards Chinese/Vietnamese neighbourhood or more central areas.
Also, nice selection of affordable restaurants within 5 minutes either up or down the Avenue.

The hotel shows its age and the rooms are much smaller than the pictures show the bed takes up majority of the space which leaves it difficult to access luggage comfortably. Overall it was okay and the staff were friendly. In our room the bedsheets were stained. You could tell they had been washed but there was a large old blood stain on the mattress protector that could be seen through the sheet. The hotel is very close to the metro which is convenient to get to the main tourist attractions but walking to those areas may take some time. We mainly took the metro to and from the hotel and spent the rest of our time walking.

My room was amazing and very comfortable. Access was easy and staff was friendly.

My owner concern is the elevator is very old and makes a lot of noises. It worked just fine, I had no issues. But for someone with elevator anxiety it would be quite hard to use. In which case of course you can take the stairs. I know these type of buildings in France didn’t have elevators so, maybe that’s why it’s not a great one. I still rated my experience 5 stars, but just letting others know in case it would be a concern for them :)

The staff were very helpful. They gave us milk for our son and access to clean our baby bottles. We accidentally put the no cleaning sign on our door but they gave us fresh towels and emptied bins on request. They stored our buggy downstairs too which was a great help and as space, like in most buildings in Paris it seems, is limited.

The beds, shower and toilet were all excellent for a 3 star hotel. We had breakfast at the hotel each morning too, which I can fully recommend.

There was female hair on the floor. The shower did not have a door, screen or curtain to prevent the floor from getting wet when showering. We reserved and paid for a room with a king bed and a twin bed and they gay us 3 twin beds. They tried giving other members of our party the same room but they complained and got the correct room that they paid for but we got nothing. Overall, an extremely upsetting and frustrating experience.

The Expedia listing stated that the hotel offers room service and it doesn't. There is a small menu in the room with a short list of drinks but when we inquired, we were told that they don't have them. They had one iron for the entire hotel, and so it took over an hour for them to find it and get it to us. We didn't have hot water the first day of our stay, and had to request that they fix it. The WiFi is a really slow connection, you cannot stream anything on a computer with it. The bathroom was dirty upon arrival. This hotel is in a good location, but that is the only thing that can be recommended about it. Expedia should change their listing to reflect how the hotel really is.

Honestly not sure how this is rated as 4 star.

I was very disappointed with my stay. For starters, the listing advertises English speaking staff but not all speak English. This was one main reason I chose this hotel and it was a problem when I needed to locate a health clinic at night at the front desk staff didn’t speak English.

Second, only one elevator, very slow, and seems like it could break down at any moment.

Third, upon check in I was put in a room with a dirty, moldy bathroom and the shower was missing one entire side of the shower door. Meaning after a 5 minute shower the entire bathroom was soaking wet even though I covered the floor in towels. I slipped and fell getting out. Told front desk staff and they initially apologized but said they didn’t have any other rooms. Not sure how they could put a guest in a faulty shower room from the start? After having Expedia call the hotel for help, they found me another room. But the hotel was fully booked for the week so I assume some other unlucky guest got stuck in that awful room.

Fourth, listing advertises 24/7 lobby and front desk staff however I returned in the night from a health clinic to a pitch black lobby and locked front door to the building. Rang the bell and had to bang and bang to get someone to let me in.

The rooms are tiny, not that clean feeling and the hotel overall needs upgrades.

Can’t speak to the breakfast because I opted out.

Only positive is very kind staff.

A bit disappointing...

There was stains on the walls below the TV. The wallpaper had a tear on it. Around the door handle on the outside was scratched. The 2 lights on the left side of the bed were not working. On the last day, I noticed ants crawling around the side of the bed and on the floor. Breakfast was included which was nice and there was a metro station nearby that gives access to the city center

Our room was on the ground floor behind the reception desk. The room had no a/c working and we couldn't open a window due to the space outside being used as an area for storing equipment and rubbish/cleaning supplies.
We were unable to get any rest in the room due to it being by reception and not soundproofed in any way! We could hear the receptionist blowing their nose through the door.
We also had ants coming in and getting into the bedding and our clothes. The hotel seemed to be building/repairing a room above and to the side of our room as every morning at 7am it was constant drilling/hammering/crashing around, so no rest!! If we booked again it would be towards the top of the building as we could open windows and have a peaceful sleep at night.

Great Hotel in a fairly quiet neighborhood. The rooms are Paris cozy, facing the street may be noisy with traffic, but the ones facing the Court yard a very quiet.

I stayed in an attic floor twin room on one of the hottest days in Paris. Air conditioning worked, so that alone made me happy. Other than that furnishings and bathroom are small but adequate. Some of the wall paper is showing wear, but I did not find the black, gray, red color scheme creepy or dated as some other reviewers have indicated. Nice breakfast, efficient staff and WiFi worked just fine even on the top floor. Had a quiet room in the back. Occasional squeak from the elevator, but still a good night's sleep. Mattresses are in need of replacement. They are permanently caved in at the centers. I am not a supersized person by any means, so this was not a case of a French mattress not being built for an American size body.

The hotel rooms are new and clean, the price is reasonable and the staff very nice and helpful. We got a pleasant breakfast included. My husband dropped his wallet somewhere in the hotel and the one of the cleaning staff found it and returned it to us. The people at the reception helped us with directions and information.
Location is wonderful, in the Latin quarter, next to the mouffetard market.
The hotel has no sign outside, so it is a little difficult to identify - the entrance is just a regular door almost hidden between two restaurants.

Very nice location on the edge of Latin Quarter, nr to Rue Mouffetard with its small shops and restaurants. Some very scenic public squares nearby with good cafes for breakfast.

Generally a very nice area; less touristy than some other parts of Paris (although I always prefer the left bank to the right anyway). A good mix of Parisians and tourists; you don't feel like you do around e.g. Opera where 90% of the people are slow walking visitors with no idea what they're doing. As someone who vists Paris fairly regularly, this is welcome.

The hotel was clean. The room was small, indeed the bed took up the majority of floor space. On the plus side it had a nice double opening window, a TV, a very good air con system (that was quiet and effective) and the bathroom was very clean. One thing that I noticed was that even on the 4th floor (5th for you Americans) the water pressure was good, and my experience of Parisian hotels is that this often isn't the case.

The breakfast was also decent.

Tucked away Gem of a hotel!

A 5 storey hotel away from the Seine and the attractions. Tucked away with a Japanese restaurant below. Took an hour or so to walk to the Seine. Continental breakfast very good. Very small reception area. Very clean. I would stay again. Use Uber to get around. Fast, easy and reasonable, there was 3 of us so worked out good value.

Great hotel in the Latin Quarter

We stayed at this hotel for six nights and absolutely loved it. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Neighbourhood full of nice shops, bakeries, and restaurants. It's close to two metro stops and some bus lines. Our room faced the busy street, but with the windows closed we didn't hear any traffic at night (and we're light sleepers). Great sound-proof windows! The breakfast was always fresh and a great way to start the day.

Amazing Location For Value

There was three of us staying in a triple single beds which was more than enough space for one room.
The staff was very friendly & respectful.
The location is a thumbs up as the Metro is across the road into main central & bus links on your doorstep.
The cleanliness was to a minimum standard and was quite upset with a few things but overall for the price you pay, it’s a bargain if your looking for a good to just sleep and explore this beautiful city.

The hotel was very clean and cosy. The lady at the reception was very helpful.
The bad thing was that hotel is locked at night and no one told us about it. We were told that reception is open 24/7. Me and my friend were for night out and came back at the hotel around 4am, but the front door was locked and we couldn't get in! We were knocking at the door for an hour! And finally the receptionist woke up (he was sleeping somewhere in the room) let us is. We didn't get any apologies.
If not our bad experience I would give higher rating.

Great location. Many bistros closeby. Room was a nice size with adequate amenities. Only complaint was the buffet breakfast on the first day. Arrived at 9.30am (1 hour prior to the 10.30am finish time) and not much food left. When we asked the server if there was more food she said that was all that was available. We promptly complained to the front desk and more food miraculously appeared. The next day we went down at 8.30am and the buffet was nicely stocked. Sylvie at the front desk was great. Could not ask for better service including Sylvie personally restocking the buffet. Unless breakfast is included in your room rate, I would recommend going to a bistro.

This is located right on the edge of the Latin Quarter. What is great is that in 2 minutes walking you get into the Quarter's vibe - up from the river and the hordes of tourists. There are a lot of nice restaurants and bar etc on the cobbled lane. Very chilled. The room was in very good condition - a single so small (like most Parisian non-purpose-built hotels) but super modern and comfortable. Good value.

Five days stay in Paris.

The hotel is convenient to the Metro , a McDonalds, late night kabobs and pizza, nice sidewalk cafes, and good, moderately priced restaurants.

Henry and Sophia as reception managers were fantastic...going out of their way to help guests. Whatever their salaries, the Owner should double them.

A good breakfast though the Hostess is clearly not a morning person.

House cleaning was excellent and the overall facility is clean an pretty well kept.

The toilet in Room 53 was not working properly for my five day visit with little sense at to when it might be professionally repaired. I made it work by using a basement toilette but I doubt anyone else would tolerate such a long needed repair.

Also, the bathroom window leaked at every rain flooding the bathroom floor.
Again, no urgency in it's repair. Frankly, it was annoying in a several day Paris rain pattern.

My marginal scores reflect the problems cited, and all would certainly be higher with facilities repair.

Hotel at Garance Paris

The hotel room is very dark and small. It is not shown exactly what was put in the website.
The breakfast served simple bread and nothing fantastic.
The corridors are not always lid and is always dark and you will never want to stay there again.
The whole entire hotel only have one ironing board and if anyone forget to return then the person who need it is unable to use it.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The nearby Rue Mouffetard has a large variety of restaurants. The hotel itself is nice (do not be put of by the at this time dilapidated look of the restaurant in front), the rooms spacious, the double glazed windows keep the sound of the city away while you enjoy a good night's rest in the comfortable beds.

You get more then you pay for + superb area

I loved super spacious comfortable room and bathroom, more space then at others 4 star and more expensive hotels at Paris. Utensils to make coffee/tea at room. Great view from our balcony, comfy beds, super friendly and helpfull staff. Tiny breakfast room.

Never stay here

Thought was a great deal, but we were wrong. Pros comfy bed, and nice hot water for showers. Cons: the room had ants both nights we were there mainly in bathroom, shower didn't seam sealed, got out seemed lots of water escaped. Baseboards meeting g floor in bathroom needs updating, dirt brown not nice. Peeling ceiling in bathroom as well. The dust in the room was so horrible. I am allergic to dust and had to ask my husband to clean up, the vent above bed the dust was so thick, in bathroom, the cord to hairdryer, the towel rack...also stating on the Expedia print out with confirmation stated the tax of 1.65 euros a person per night, as we checked out we were told 2 euros each a night...this should be corrected on the info from expedia. Also they offer breakfast, was included with our room, but if you need to buy it don't, great pastry place to left of hotel...very disappointed overall.

Great contemporary hotel & very close to metro.

Excellent botique hotel and very close to many cafe's and metro station and pharmacie. The hotel staff were super wonderful. We were there from 4/13/17-4/18/17. If we come back in Paris we will stay here again.

Hotel in a good location

Sorry to say I had to mark the room comfort as disappointing because the room was actually very comfortable, lovely bed, nicely decorated. The down side was the hotel does not have sound insulation and the occupants of the room above were two young girls who came in late each night and then stamped around until 3.30 am. Thankfully we only had two nights of that as they left on Friday, so we had one night when we got a good night's sleep at least.

Nice hotel in the Latin Quarter

The hotel was a decent price and quite comfortable for our purposes. They were very accommodating when we arrived early - offering to take our bags up to our room when it was ready, leaving us able to wander around and explore without worrying about our bags.

Service was great. Breakfast was good. Location was great close too train station and sites. The room was small, not a lot of storage or room for two peoples luggage or getting dressed in the morning. The shower head was broken told front desk, they knew but didn't fix it. Wifi was terrible. No sign out front identifying hotel. No room safes. Room had two twins instead of king but they slid them together and installed a filler after we complained. Shower was alittle mildew and no wash clothes for shower. No tub.

Great beds and location, bad service from staff

We were lucky enough to get a room on the top floor, which was incredibly cozy. Small but enough for the two of us. The bed and was amazing, slept like babies and didn't hear any noise from the street. Location is great, super close to the Metro station Les Gobelins and the cozy Latin Quarters.

The few complaint we have is first that the the shower had no hot water and the handle was broken, making it more of a hassle than something nice to shower. Also, the receptionist didn't inform us about anything (WiFi password, breakfast time, checkout time, any extras...) and the breakfast staff refused to speak any English..

Very Nice Hotel

Don't be fooled by the entrance. Hotel and rooms have a modern look to them. Room size was adequate by European standards. We had a king bed but could have used more luggage space. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast room was roomy and breakfast was more than adequate. Close to buses and metro station. I would stay here again and recommend this hotel.

The vet long internet password work or provide hot water lemon and honey for s sore throat at 10 pm

Nice hotel in Paris

Nice hotel in very good condition with a contemporary feel. Everything fine, except for mattreses, which are not firm and by now have the shape of several previous users.
