This was my first experience staying at a hostel and I loved it!! Traveling Solo woman I googled and read every review I could find and to make sure it was clean and safe and it was! For someone who only really was there nights, it was perfect! They held my suitcase all day in their safe so I didn't have to leave it in the dorm. They also have lockers you can put 50 cent in, create your own combo and leave for the day! It made traveling around Paris so much easier, knowing I didn't have to haul all the big things with me! Staff was amazing! They remembered my name so every time I walked by the staff would greet me by name!

Overrated hostel and never choose it again
Absolutely overrated. The staff and common area there are great. But the dormitory looks quite a different from the website. Then I checked with the previous comments and some said that there are bed bugs here. I don't know if it is true. But overall the dormitory looks horrible. Besides, there is no escalator here and I have to take my luggage uptairs with a lot of efforts. If I were going to Paris again, I would rather spend more money to find another accommodations. But I believe that I could find another better hostel with such price.

The reception staff was friendly and helpful. A set of clean sheets was placed on each bed and the bathroom was cleaned in the morning by employee. What I did not like is that there is no elevator and the wooden stairs are very narrow and winding, and difficult to manage with a heavy suitcase. When in the lower bed, one gets disturbed each time the upper bed occupant turns around as the whole bunk unit shakes. There were only 4 lockers for a 6-person room, and they were good only for valuables due to their small size.

My friend and I stayed in the female only six-bedded room. There was no hair dryer in the room. Apart from that, the shower room was really small. Wifi was quite weak in the room. However, the location of the hostel was convenient; the staff were helpful.

The only reason I am not giving this hostel the lowest possible rating is because the staff were helpful and the price is good for the location. HOWEVER, IT IS INFESTED WITH BED BUGS!!!!! My bites did not appear until half a week after my stay, but after reading reviews from other customers who also got bitten, and seeing the lack of hygiene in this hostel firsthand, I am convinced that the bites came from this hostel.
It is clear that the rooms, let alone the beds, are not regularly maintained, and there is this dank mustiness to the room the moment you step in. 2 mins Walking distance to metro Place Monge. The area is full of restaurants and safe at night. I stayed for 5 nights at the 4 persons room with private shower room, the bed and room is clean. I love the kitchen where I can cook simple meal and make new friends. I will come back to this hostel.

The Latin Quarter is a fun place to stay convenient to the Luxenbourg Gardens and Pantheon. They were very nice in the check-in area. The bathroom in the room was a bit of a joke, and it was challenging at times to carry all my luggage up the narrow staircase.

They canceled my reservation
I had a prepaid reservation with a confirmed late check in. There was a train delay. I emailed the hostel and looked at my reservation to make sure a late check in was guaranteed. It was. So I didn’t worry until I got there and I had no room. They canceled my reservation and there were no rooms. They couldn’t do a refund because the manager was on holiday. I’m still waiting to hear if I’ll get a refund.

The hotel is located in a good place, however the rooms are in need of a good clean and the beds are really uncomfortable. Breakfast isn't worth the cost - I would recommend getting something from the local bakery or the supermarket next door instead.

I stayed one night there in the room with fiur people. Except me, there were all guys. They were quiet in a room, so it was easy to sleep. But there was no locker and a plug for cellphone was far from my bed, so I was worried about the security. Nothing happened though. Toilettes were clean and the stuffs were friendly.

The place has kind workers and decorations giving it a fun vibe, but despite this policies made the property function like a love-less factory and they have monitored everything possible. Not the place to be if you are averse to rules. The breakfast was a joke - just bread and juice/coffee. The bunk bed in my room had less than 2 ft of clearance, so you'll hit your head. The bathrooms are only on 2 of the 5 levels - no elevator. The Latin quarter/5th arrondissement is a great place for stree-side restaurants, bars, and cafes. The hostel is kept very clean, workers are helpful for trip planning, and there's a few places to congregate.

Great location, great room and great staff
This hotel is great for its own decoration and the transportation nearby. At least in my single room, I feel very comfortable and nothing could match the joy of totally relaxing inside the room after an intensive tour trip in Paris through out the day. Many famous destination in Paris are easy to reach because of the hotel's great location. The staff were wonderful and English-friendly. If there was anything left to be desired, it could be the noisy pub down the street at night sometimes, as well as the sound from the toilet next door could be clearly heard whenever someone use it at mid-night.

I loved the atmosphere at Young and Happy and the room was also comfortable and clean. The staff were very nice and I found that the hostel provided everything I needed. The location on the Rue Mouffetard was buzzing every night with activity. There were many wonderful restaurants and sites nearby, and the hostel was easily accessible from the airport from the Luxembourg stop on the RER line B. I would recommend this place to anyone interested in the Latin Quarter and with an adventurous spirit!

I had a very good experience in this hostel, i met a lot of people from another contries, friends for the rest of my life. All the experiences was good! just one thing that really made me mad.. I stayed in a 6 shared room.. and there was only two PLUGS in a room, and only one was working. That was really terrible because everyone wanted to use the plug to charge their cameras or phones. that was the only bad experience i had, but the rest was very good !

The major positives about this hostel are the friendly staff and the great location. Other than that I wouldn't recommend it.
It is in a tall, narrow building and the rooms are very small with many beds. There is no where in the room to really store your things and the bunks are close together and very flimsy.
There is only 1 level with toilets in it. Since I was on the 4th floor I had to trek 2 floors down to go to the toilet and the same for the shower though they are on both 1st and 2nd floor.
My bed was in the corner of the room in the top floor. Because the roof slopes my face was inches from the ceiling and I hit my head a lot.
It was very cheap but I will not be staying there again.

I only stayed at Young & Happy overnight while I waited to meet up with family, but I had a great stay. The people were fantastic and it has a great atmosphere where it's easy to meet fellow travelers-I certainly met some characters!

Also, can't forget, GREAT neighborhood with plenty of places to eat and drink, and right next to a grocery store. It's also not far from the main tourist attractions.

This hostel had a great atmosphere. The staff were great and knowledgable about the Paris attractions. The small nature of the hostel was perfect for meeting people. My only complaint is that they had a bit of trouble keeping the communal washrooms stocked. Overall a great place to stay!

Only Location and staff are good. However, the hostel has no elevator. Also. the building is old. there is no power outlet. Wifi is available only close to the reception counter not in the whole lobby and not available as well in the rooms. There are no fans in the room, just open the windows. Also, the rest room is filthy all the time. No mix water in the showers only hot.

The staff is very friendly there. I've overslept check out time and checked out an hour later than it was expected and everyone was fine with it. The location is good - it is easy to get to the very centre and there are lot's of pubs and restaurants on the street. BUT it is extremely noise at night, because of this pubs and about 6:30 a.m big vans come to collect the garbage and they actually make unbelievable noise. So, if you care about the quality of your sleep or have any sleep disorders I would not recommend to stay there. However, I'm quite a \"heavy-slepper\", so the noise disturbed me partly. Also, there was just one plug in the room for 6 people, which was obviously not enough. Despite all that I had a pretty lovely stay in this hostel.

La zona es muy movida, peatonal con un montón de bares y lugares de comida callejera. Es muy lindo, seguro, pero hay mucho ruido en la calle hasta las 3 de la mañana aprox. Se encuentra en un muy buen punto para recorrer todos los lugares a pie.
👎No hay baño en las habitaciones. Los mismos se encuentran en los entrepisos, las duchas por un lado y los inodoros por otro.

6人相部屋に宿泊しました。室外になりますが、施設内にはシャワーやトイレもあり困ることはありませんでした。個人ロッカーもあるが、管理が気になる方は、ロックを自前かフロントで購入する必要があります。パリの中心地で駅やスーパーもあり、立地はとても良いです。ベッドにカーテンが無いなどプライベートスペースはほぼ有りませんが、ユースホステルに慣れている方にはとてもオススメの宿泊施設です。

전역하고 한달도안되서 여행왔는데 군대있어서 그런지 몰라도 침대가 있다는것 만으로도 만족했음 뭐 다른후기 보면 계단 비좁고 높다고 하는데 감성이라면 감성이라고 생각했고 화장실이 3층에 한개밖에 없는거랑 공용 샤워실이 생각보다 좁고 적어서 불편하다면 불편했음 잘때 찬바람들어오는데 혹한기생각하면 실내에서 잔다는것에 큰 만족이였고 위치가 아주좋아서 걸어서 에펠탑까지 갔다가 지하철타고 오기도 괜찮은듯 직원들은 뭐 불편한건 없느냐 주변어떻냐 서비스 자체는 만족했음 콘센트가 1개여서 멀티탭하나에 다 꽂아쓰는건 조금 별로긴했음 락카도 있어서 중요물건 넣을수 있긴한데 캐리어는 고사하고 좀 큰 백팩도 넣기 힘들 사이즈이므로 참고하시길 전체적으로 위치 하나랑 직원들 서비스, 주기적으로 관리하는모습이보여서 크게 만족했음

En general la estancia fue buena, los recepcionistas muy buenos todos, a pesar de alguno no hablar español ni yo francés pudimos comunicarnos igual. Tuvimos un inconveniente con la calefacción de la habitación y estuvimos dos noches sin la misma hasta que la arreglaron, pero al menos nos dieron mantas de mas!. La habitación del segundo piso muy ruidosa, da gusto a la calle, tal vez deberían probar con alguna otra cortina mas gruesa o algo para que aísle un poco mas el ruido. Solo había dos duchas para todos, tal vez un par mas no vendrían mal. La limpieza en todos los sectores comunes muy buena y en la habitación también. La ubicación muy buena, hay supermercado a dos cuadras, hay un mini mercado al lado, bares, comidas al paso y para sentarse también. Los huéspedes muy buena onda todos!!!
