We had a comfortable stay. Rooms were spacious, the staff were friendly, communication was clear, everything was smooth. It was nice having access to the coffee machine all day. No a/c but luckily it wasnt that hot and there was a fan in the room. We had a little balcony which was nice. Our toilet was separate from the shower/sink which we weren’t expecting and was odd but we managed. The rooms were clean however we noticed a few tiny insects (ants, another bigger bug) in our room up on the 6th floor. Not a huge deal, it happens, and I’m just glad they weren’t bed bugs!

Very convenient location

Very convenient location, just a bit out of touristy area, in the nice and quiet residential area! But still can walk to
The Seine River and the C Line/Metro 6 line in about 17 minutes, and we walked all the way back from the Eiffel Tower one day. Also, a quick walk to the Metro 5 line, also 10 line but we did not take that line.

Very good for longer stays, we stayed for 6 nights. The only complaint is there is only one dryer (2 washers) in the laundry room.

Accommodations are rather basic at this facility; that said, the property was clean, safe, and in a quiet residential neighborhood. Check in was easy, even after some issues with our flights. They do speak English. The bed was comfortable, but storage was lacking. There is heat, but no air conditioning. A fan was provided which was highly effective in October temperatures. They do have a small elevator. There are plenty of restaurants in the area, and two groceries. There are also two Metro stations within easy walking distance, and a major station with a shopping mall about a 15 minute walk away. Staff was friendly, and they have an overnight security person. The neighborhood is a working-class residential area in the 13th Arrondisement; it is off the beaten path but far less touristy than other areas. We would stay again.

The Citadine Austerlitz was just perfect. Location was ideal for the Metro and enjoying some leisurely meals and drinks. There were lovely bars and restaurants very close. We had a great 1 bed apartment with all the facilities. Breakfast was very good value. We slept well as the hotel was really quiet.

The distance to main piazza and museums was a little long for my kids, but the adults had no problem getting to the main piazza. Great help from the staff to call taxis.
The breakfast buffet was way more than we had expected! A lovely surprise on our first morning.

We stayed for a week at this property. It is well managed, clean, comfortable, quiet and well priced. Antony , who works the front desk, is a pro. He is quick to help and assist with any issues. He helped us wrap a large tray we purchased so we could get it flight ready. When I forgot my tablet at the hotel, he arranged to have it delivered to me. He is a star!

The counter staff have been very helpful. I was having issues with my next accommodation booking in another French city and they assisted me as I could not speak French and was new in town. Would highly recommend the hotel to anyone coming to Paris. The place was highly accessible by metro and was near 2 supermarkets.

Hotel is in a quiet location. Front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. Needed to request a hairdryer and extra blankets and was able to quickly pick up at the lobby. We stayed on the first floor next to the lobby. It was surprisingly quiet considering the other guest checking in and going up and down the elevators. Room was comfortable. I would stay here again.

On the last day the guy at reception asked us did we have breakfast and when we say we did he said it would be 10 euro per person. We thought it was complimentary since there are no signs in reception, breakfast room or in your rooms. I’m coeliac so I couldn’t eat the breakfast. So very poor communication

Happiness in Austerlitz

This is the first hotel we have stayed in where there were recycling facilities and guests are given the option to do so very easily. I am amazed.

The room is well designed, with the small but functional kitchen around the corner. We were able to make simple meals there. An extractor hood would be good.

But there were very good food options around, even for vegetarians. The Vietnamese food on the main street was very good and the organic Carrafour opposite us extremely convenient.

The street is quiet and calm, with plenty of cafes around, good access to two metro lines within 5 minutes and the same for buses. There is a direct bus to the Louvre and Centre Pompidou.

We will return.

I stayed at five different Citadines apartment hotels in France, including Citadines Austerlitz. This seems to be one of the older properties and, in fairness, the tariff probably reflects that. Nonetheless, I had a pleasant 5 night stay, the location is excellent and the concierge staff are lovely.

The location is great. It is on a quiet street in a residential area yet very convenient. Two metro stations (line 5 and 6) are both one block away. Two supermarkets and lots of restaurants nearby. 15 min walk to Seine River. My kids also did a run/walk to Louvre Museum in under 30 min. 10 min walk to Place D'Italie which has a shopping centre and even more food choices.

Very nice hotel, for Paris. Paris hotels are often poorly maintained with tiny rooms and poor beds; this one is none of that: relatively spacious rooms, a good bed and the hotel is, inside, in good shape. It also offers private parking, and handy commodity in Paris. For Paris this is quite good, just don't expect this to be as nice as other hotels of the same chain: Paris simply doesn't offer that.

First time using Citadines.

I had always stayed in hotels when in Paris, but this time I tried the Citadines aparthotel. Glad I did it!
The Citadines Austerlitz is in a quiet residential neighborhood just off of Vincent Auriol Blvd in the 13th Arr. This area has significantly improved over the past 10 yrs.
The studio apt has a fully equipped kitchenette with a microwave, refrigerator, stovetop, cutlery, utensils, dinnerware, etc. Also has dishsoap, dishtowel, sponge, garbage bags.
My unit had a balcony, which was nice.
Tip: There is no maid service for stays 6 days or less, but everything you need is in the apartment, or else easy to get from the front desk or housekeeping.
There are 2 supermarkets within a 5 minute walk ( Leader Price in Place Pinel and Carrefour Supermarket Paris Nationale just across Vincent Auriol Blvd). Both are low price. If you desire an Asian supermarket, then walk down to Place d'Italie, turn left onto Avenue de Choisy, and 1/2 block down on the left-hand side is Tang Freres Supermarche. They have everything!
Citadines has free coffee/tea available 24/7. There is also a garden with table/chairs.
It is close to Metro line 6- Nationale and Metro line 5- Campo Formio.
The wifi is fine.
There is a laundry room in the basement.

Our stay here was very positive. The staff were pleasant and really helpful, and the room was quiet, well appointed, and (most importantly to us!) clean. Moreover, the hotel promptly provided a refund that was owing to us. If I must offer a tiny criticism it is that the lobby and building exterior are a bit run down and due for renovations, but the same can be said for a lot of buildings in Paris. So overall, we have no complaints and were very satisfied and would recommend this hotel to others looking for well-located, decent, reasonably priced accommodation.

All was well until the day before check out. We'd been out all day and were exhausted and needed the facilities. Our key card worked fine getting into hotel and up the elevator but when we got to the room- neither of our key cards would work. I sent my 13 yr old back down to the lobby to have them correct it. They told him I needed to come down and pay the hotel tax which turned out to be a measly 9.90 euros for 7 day stay. Are you kidding me? Very poorly handled. Lock us out to ensure we pay hotel tax. Pathetic. To top it off the clerk had the audacity to tell us it was because they were confused about the day we checked out.... Really? Then why did our key work in front door and elevator?? All else was just fine.

good base for those who like independence, basic 'like home' amenities to save funds for adventures, great value for price. I spent all my time - 2 weeks - in galleries and museums and was exhausted on return to hotel but felt like it was 'home'. Off the main tourist area but on border - 15 min bus to Louvre at corner. 2 blks from direct metro to Gare Nord with its train to CDG airport. Maor Metro interchange stn 2 bus-stops away. Austerlitz & Lyon train stns within walking.

Nice apartment with enough facilities

We stayed in this apartment for 5 nights and enjoyed a really nice holiday in Paris. The hotel is close to metro 5 or metro 6 station, and there are many stores nearby. The apartment is in a quiet street so we were not bothered by the noise. Besides, the staff here are really nice, we asked them for travel and transportation information several times. The apartment has a small but nice kitchen, so you can cook by yourself to save money.

Very conveniently located between 2 metro stations, this place is a ideal stay if you're looking for a home away from home. Various super markets short walking distance away. I've stayed here many occasions before. The one thing that's not as good as before is the internet. They use to have a modem connection which was very fast. Now it's a much slower WIFI connection. Cleaning services are only provided after a 6 day stay unless you pay extra. Other than this, it's a very good place to stay.
Suggestion: The addition of hooks near the door for hanging jackets and coats would be a plus.

This hotel is close to supermarket, metro station, and Chinatown. Hotel room is big, with a small kitchen, free coffee 24 hours on ground floor, breakfast will charge you 10 Euro per head. Room is clean, but without air conditioning, There's a safe inside the wardrobe, no housekeeper to clean your room unless you stay for a week.
The front desk staffs are friendly and helpful. However , you will find the housekeepers are quite impolite !!

Solid accomodations for a weekend trip.

Good overall stay. Started off a little rough; only 1 of 3 rooms was ready when we got in at noon (I could have sworn check-in was 12, not 2pm, but apparently I was wrong). We had 6 staying across 3 rooms and we had 4 more staying at another hotel,but we all wanted to go up and relax for a few before heading into the city (we arrived via a lengthy train ride). The front desk attendant was snippy and a bit rude and questioned how many people were staying with us. The language barrier didn't help when trying to explain we were just staying in for a short time.

After that the stay was just fine. The rooms were available by the time we stopped back in at 4pm; the other attendants the rest of the trip were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were larger than the average traditional European-style hotel rooms. Our showerhead was broken and wouldn't work properly so that was a hassle, but otherwise the beds were good and the rooms heated well (great for a 25 degree weekend).

The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel was on a quiet street and our room faced the courtyard it was very quiet. We were there for 7 nights and the towels and bed linen were changed once. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms were a decent size. The kitchen was well equipped and included cutlery. The location was handy for two Metro stops, supermarket, bakery and take aways. Free coffee was available from 6am. When we contacted Citadines to let them know that we would be arriving after reception had closed they arranged for someone to be there to let us in. If we go to Paris again we would certainly stay there again.

Completely Unremarkable.

Our room was on the fourth floor, and with the elevator under repair, it meant climbing steep stairs with our luggage and every time we had to come and go. The lack of air conditioning (something we knew about) made it a far less pleasant experience in the day (August, no less!). Though with the windows open at night, the room was cooler. However, it also meant that we could hear people in the next balcony and room. The staff was polite and very helpful. The kitchen was stocked well with the necessary dishes and appliances. There were quite a few cafes and eating places within walking distance, so overall, reasonably convenient.

Citadines Austerlitz is an excellent, smaller hotel in the 13th district. The hotel is a comfortable, well located base for a visit to Paris, with the centre within walking distance yet without the thousands of tourists.

Guests are couples and individual business travellers.

Gare du Nord, the station for Eurostar, is only a few metro stops away on a direct line.

I enjoyed our stay at this apartment style hotel. Don't expect fresh towels or room cleaning. The beds were very comfortable and the small parking lot (17 euros per night) was convenient for our car. We did have a little trouble with the key cards for the parking lot and back entrance - be sure your keys work for both before it gets late and the front desk is closed. My husband and 8 year old son and I would stay here again!

Overall it was just OK - the bathroom was gross - not very clean, kitchen facilities were adequate, carpet in main room was very dirty-looking (made you want to only walk on it in socks or shoes). The neighbourhood was pretty rough - broken booze bottles and garbage on the street, and some pretty rough-looking characters wandering around - but never really felt unsafe. Location was close to the metro, so pretty accessible. Lots of grocery stores and restaurants nearby.

Very good location but...

The hotel is located between 2 metro stations which allow easy excess to the city. The studio room has a good size and you can hear the birds every morning. The downside is the services, there is no cleaning service or towels changing (well it is an apartment hotel) but for a short stay and in this rates you would expect more.

In general I would stay there but with lower expectation regarding the room facilitys and hotel services.

Nice, but small

Nice room, small but had a nice porch with a beautiful flowering tree. Very quiet neighborhood, not too much around it but close to the metro. Closes at 10 pm which no one mentioned and we almost missed getting in, as we came from London late. No clean towels daily, and did not see anyone to get more towels. Overall nice but very small.

Outstanding Service

I found the location to be very quiet and convenient- a semi-residential neighborhood, several grocery stores, cafes and a metro stop a block away. My studio apartment was ready at check-in, very clean and quite roomy. I can't say enough good things about the staff: during my stay, I was faced with a medical emergency and they were absolutely heroic in their efforts to find a nearby, english-speaking doctor who could see me immediately. I would definitely stay at this location again!

Great service !

Great service. They had one computer, but it had free internet, very usefull. The room was kind of old, had a small smell, but the bed was really comfortable. The bathroom was really big, good shower. The television had good channels. Its nice that there is a laundry room down stairs.

The only...annoying thing, was that there is a man that lives in the hotel, he hangs in the lobby a lot, he talks to the hotel staff. I bet he is really lonely...A nice man, but he talks to you for hoooours, its hard to get away from him. But whatever, he was polite and nice, but don't you start a conversation with him because he won't let you go ! And if he starts one with you, well don't you talk too much.

Citadines Paris Austerlitz

I have stayed in this hotel six times. The apartment setup is convenient it you want the independence of a serviced apartment without any of the usual - and usually not necessary - conveniences of a traditional hotel (room service, etc.).

The Citadines rooms show their age but pricing is attractive, the rooms are clean and staff are always very friendly and helpful.

If you like a little exercise, the city centre is within walking distance. Metro is just a couple of minutes from the hotel. Within easy walking distance of the wonderful Mouffetard/Contrescarpe area.

No major drawbacks that I can think of.

Great Hotel

This hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. It is located in a quiet part of Paris with to metro staions located five minutes away. There are an abundance of bakeries and grocery stores nearby. Overall a great value for the money.
