The cold water very small running the whole time I was there, the lockbox in the room would not open, no one came up to check on it after I asked. So I had to carry my passport with me the whole time I was there. The second to last day I use up the last the toilet paper, it was not replaced. So I use Kleenex the last day.

We booked a superior room, but on arrival we were given a normal room. As soon as we realized this we asked for an exchange, however the receptionist, who spoke poorly in English, told us he didn't know how to help us and to wait until the next day to speak to the manager. The following morning we received a call from the hotel manager at 8.30AM (without any respect, since at that time we could still sleep) telling us that they would make the change in the morning. So we went to the reception and the manager, without apologizing for what happened, told us that the room would only be ready when we returned in the afternoon. We then asked for the difference between the superior and normal room for the first night to be refunded and in a grumpy manner she told us to contact the platform we booked on. Apart from that, the superior room was uncomfortable because it was on two floors and you had to go down to the bathroom via a very small spiral staircase. The breakfast was good, but the variety was limited and slowly replenished. A waiting line often formed as the number of tables was insufficient compared to the number of rooms. The only positive note: the location of the hotel, close to the metro and well connected to the centre.

The property was conviently located for public transportation. There were plenty of places to eat within walking distance.

The carpet in my room was shredded in one area. The furniture, old and torn up. The bed was comfortable and an extra blanket was available.

Delayed check in. I informed in advance under disabilities/special assistance that I was traveling with my service animal. This apparently wasnt noted on my file, and the man working the desk had me wait 10 minutes while he tried to get someone on the phone. He then said \"he was accepting the risk.\" Im not sure what risk there is to take with a service animal.

My key card stopped working on my second day. When I went to get it fixed, the man (same guy) at the desk accused me of using my credit card instead of the key card.🙄 The key card was in my hand. He was able to fix the issue.

The same worker was unable to acquire me a taxi for my departure. I had no issues with any other hotels or restaurants in acquiring a cab. I had no issues getting a cab myself throughout the city.

Loved the decor of this hotel, very kind staff and very easy links to the centre of Paris. Only complaints are that the room was quite dark with little lighting and that the shower did not fit a 6’4’’ person in. However this may not be an issue for others

Nice but small

It was our first trip to Paris. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Located about a block from the Metro. Room was lovely but quite tight for my 6’5” tall husband and myself with luggage. Lighting was all quite dim ( which was only a problem for our old eyes trying to read very small text on many maps). Room was quiet unless we opened the window.

This hotel looks great in pictures, but the real thing is nothing to be desired! The furniture was stained and ripped - the stairs in our room were TERRIBLE - they looked nice, but they sounded like they were going to fall apart when walking on them. Also - my daughter called their breakfast the 'no-food breakfast' because they didn't have ANYTHING and we got down there at 9am and it didn't close until 11am. We waited for them to restock for a while and then just left to get breakfast somewhere else! I won't stay here again and I wouldn't recommend it to a friend either.

Nice little boutique hotel. We arrived and was greeted with great customer service. The nice lady at the front helped me with navigating around the city, told me about the free cell phone usage which they provided for us during our stay there. They also helped me book a taxi at 3am for my flight, and prepared an early breakfast for me. Really excellent service.

The condition of the room is fair. It could definitely use some remodeling with the carpet, and bathroom tiles and stuff if you want me to get nit picky, but even without its fairly clean. Bed was clean, no disgusting odor or anything. The only thing my mother disliked was the fact she had to walk downstairs every time to use the bathroom and the stairs is kinda steep.

Overall, good experience. Love the service. We got the breakfast deal too. The lady serving breakfast was super nice. Would stay here again in future if i was traveling under budget.

I think this hotel needs to be updated. The staff was very friendly and nice and was very helpful! The room was clean but very outdated. The rug needs to be replace and cleaned! The bed was hard and not so comfortable. There was no AC the whole 6 days we stayed. I wasn't able to change hotels because I had Pre paid in advance. The room was small and the some of the walls did have holes.

The area isn't too bad. You are close to a few stations and that is certainly nice. Moreover, you are near a few grocery stores. The room isn't too comfy, at least the one we stayed in. There was no water boiler and that was disappointing and there was a leak at the end of our stay. It is not one of my better stays but having said that it was not a bad place. It just might not be the best bang for your buck.

It was a great price and fairly decent location. Very close to the Metro station and only one transfer to downtown Paris - about 20 min away. There was a little grocery store around the corner which was perfect to pick up snacks and items for a continental breakfast in our room. I'd wished there were a better selection of restaurants close but there weren't. I'd also wished there were a coffee shop/pastry shop close so as to grab something as we headed out for the day but none to be found - had to go in a little further into town for that. The room was so adorable! Super cute bathroom and I was absolutely in love with the window that opened like a french door! in the room. Super french! I loved the tub and shower - worked perfectly. I took a tub every night after a long day of sight seeing and it was perfect. We stayed in a queen bed room. Very small room but perfect for the time we were there and price. We were there to sleep only and gone all day. The mattress was sloped so it killed my back.

Hotel is very well situated at 13e,two hundreds yards from main street.Convenience store, brasserie, coffe shops, small bakery on main street.
3 different tube station are in walking distance.Room small with standard equipment.

Cockroaches 2 inches in size!

So my first night there I wake up in the middle of the night feeling something funny on my face like a bedsheet only to realize it's a cockroach crawling across my face!

Long story but I found out where this cockroach routinely crawled in and out of the crack of the walls to greet his unsuspecting visitors!

This was not a palmetto bug, I lived in Florida I know what palmetto bugs are, this was a cockroach!

This hotel doesn't even qualify as a two star!

In addition they charged me city tax which Expedia said was already paid for, came to the amount of €7.4 !

Expedia should drop them for charging taxes that should've been already paid for and covered with my initial payment!

I want to reiterate, these cockroaches are in the walls...and you hear them crawling through the walls in the middle of the night!

Don't trust this hotel

The location is good, very close to Metro, Supermarket, Boulangerie, pharmacy, that's why we choose to stay there. small room with old furniture, staff is not that nice, especially the last night, the room Door was wild opened, and some one broke safety box! the thief was a nice person, he / she didn't take our passport, just took money. but Hotel staff repeated again & again this is not their responsibility, they event didn't want to call police, but we insisted to call 911, and we have to go to police station to fill a report at mid-night on our own. Paris is a wonderful city, but not as safe as 10 years ago.

Nice lobby, but that's not where you sleep!

Standard room is very small and dark. It was like living in a cave. Several times we had to use a torch to find things. Nicely decorated but looking a bit tired now. My bedside table had a broken leg. In the bathroom the fan cover was missing and the waste cover was broken. Beds are hard and uncomfortable and the pillows are horrible. I did venture down to breakfast one morning but it all looked so unappetising, especially at €15, that I changed my mind.

During my stay, I checked into two different rooms. The first had stains all over the bedding, floor, chairs, drapes and the furniture. Cockroaches in the bathroom and the room in total was not great at all. The second room they gave me to replace the dirty room was better until the hotel staff (manager and a receptionist!) caused a argument and I decided to refund this hotel and get a different one. 2/10 and 2 is because it's right by the subway station. The breakfast they offer is downstairs, and I tried it twice. Both times food was bad, milk was spoiled and the whole seating area just stinks. Not a good hotel at all and hotel staff is not helpful and very rude. WIFI never worked the few days I forced myself to stay.

It was a nice funky hotel. Located in a quiet area but still an easy walk to the metro and into the other areas. Wifi was a bit spotty but hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly. They helped my print tour vouchers, gave me maps and answered my endless questions.

Not impressed. Bathroom had no heating no curtain so everybody could see in or you shower in the dark. Carpets were stained and thread bare. No bar no resturant. The headboard is all stained and dirty, or blankets were ripped. The staff were very nice though and very helpful

Nice little hotel walking distance to the Seine and a lot of attractions, and very close to the Metro. Friendly and helpful staff. Bed seemed to be two single size mattress pads atop a full size box spring, which was hard and had a weird seam down the middle.

We found the Hotel to be in a brilliant location in Paris.
Upon arrival we found the reception area to be really clean and tidy .
The staff were brilliant and really helpful .
The room was ok and tidy , the only downfall being the cracked tile in bathroom and paint peeling off in the bathroom .
Just a very short walk away are some really nice bars serving good food and happy hour drinks.
We found getting around from the hotel to be really good by taxi.
And to get back to airport we used the shared taxi service and was a lot cheaper than a single trip taxi.

Nice location but not 4 star

On arrival we were shown to a small split level room with hot air coming out of the air conditioning and no way to turn it down. The room was also a lot smaller than the website impression gives. Eventually the only way to be comfortable in a nice room was to pay an extra 60 Euros per night for a bigger one with a nice big round bath as in the photographs.
Quite noisy and terrible breakfast. Definitely not 4 star.
Quirky design though, but in need of renovation.
I have to say it was a very good location.

Cute room, great location and fantastic service

The first room we were offered reeked of cigarette smoke. When we complained the desk person got up, left the desk, walked upstairs with two extra keys to give us other choices. They also found our phone left on the Toby table and kept it safe until our return that night. The service was terrific!

Stayed for 5 nights. After checking reviews on here and special discounts available we decided to book. Looking carefully at the reviews we noticed the reviews were quite old.

The hotel was clean, rooms were small and in major need of a revamp. The staff were friendly but at times it seemed like a second staff member was required on reception. The location was acceptable a good walk into town. Didn't sample breakfast as we found a great place on rue Morland sully . Overall wouldn't stay here again and I'd struggle to recommend until the hotel underwent major modernization.

As usual, a good price for a comfortable hotel. The service is good, wifi free. The location is great. It's a short walk to Place d'Italie, good place to get a drink and watch Paris go by. The nearby metro will get you into the centre in 10 mins. The rooms are not large.... but that's Paris.

Horrible Staff & Inaccurate Description of Hotel

From the moment I checked in this hotel is NOT a 4 star accommodation. The woman at the front desk could not be bothered not a very welcoming attitude. The WiFi was deplorable. It either would connect with my laptop or my cell, but not both. There were times where it would go out. It listed that there was a business center...the business center consists of the front desk personnel scooting to the side to let you utilize their computer. There is NO room service as stated in the description. The lobby of the hotel is nicely decorated, but the cracked window quickly takes away from that. There is a constant stench right in front of the hotel where they leave garbage. I had a leak in my bathroom and kept having to put towels down to keep the floor from getting wet. There was a stain on my headboard as well and I own a softer bed and linens. Every time I'd alert the staff to the issue they'd say OK, but would NEVER do anything about it! There's also a front desk male that works third shift that is constantly attempting to seduce women tenants offering drinks and then migrating them to the couch for additional conversation. This was the WORST experience I've had at a so-called 4 star hotel. I would not recommend this to anyone expecting a luxury stay. If you're just wanting to get to Paris and have place to lay your head then for it. Otherwise, I would recommend a U.S. based hotel such as Hilton or Hyatt where you know the star rating and amenities listed are going to be accurate.

Room is unbelievable small, you cannot even find a space to open the luggage。
Housekeeping is awful, we found the bed sheet was dirty and the hair of last guest were still on it, which means the sheet was never changed. During my stay, 4 days, housekeeper did not refill the shower gel, I have to ask for it from front desk.
The internet of the hotel is so slow, basically you cannot do anything with this crappy internet. We have to pay 10 euros to use third party hot spot.

At the end, I cannot believe this is a four stars hotel, I don’t recommend anyone stay there at all.

Lovely old Pariseiene charm, but....

I do like this place, lovely decor and very clean.
However the walls are a tad thin and if you are a light sleeper it may not be for you or get a third floor room. If you are on the first floor you can hear people in reception.
That said, I would have stayed longer but a bit to pricey.

We thought the room was nice and clean. The hotel staff did not seem very helpful or very friendly. The location was ok. It was our fault for not looking more closely where the hotel was.

Too tiny a room for the price & rating

The room was the smallest I have ever stayed in for any of my trips to Europe. It was over-priced for what you got and the rating needs to be revised down a notch.The reception desk was quite nice & helpful though. We had 3 rooms, and air conditioning didn't work in 2 of them.The shower was difficult to get into & splashed water everywhere. The beds were not twin size either.The wing we were in had no working internet although they said we would.It was quite old too & needed some renovation. I wouldn't return.

Great hotel let down by a few errors

Cleanliness of rooms was spotless and so so comfortable, hotel was let down by lack of meals other than breakfast on site, room service advertised but only available for breakfast items til midday. Location was great bang in between all major stops, great centre point for sightseeing. We got charged for a breakfast that we didn't have which we were refused refund for from a less than pleasant member of staff who pretended he knew no English when I confronted them about it, despite talking in perfect English previously , also we were too there was a free shuttle back to the airport , this was not the case and cost us 36€. Overall satisfied but disappointed in a couple of aspects.

Do not stay here

The stay was horrible. The location was a lie, you CANNOT see the Eiffel Tower from the hotel, or streets surrounding the hotel as they say. You have to walk for 1 hour 25 minutes to be able to see it. We paid for a room with a jacuzzi tub, they don't have them. Another lie. But the worst part, they stole from our room. We brought chocolate from Zurich the day before we checked in. We went out for the day and when we come back to enjoy our chocolate it's gone! What kind of a hotel steals your stuff?? Not one anyone needs to stay at. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL.

Our 5 Days In Paris

The standard double room was very small - just big enough for a double bed.So we upgraded to a much larger room which included a large Jacuzzi for an extra 50 Euros per night - well worth the extra. Breakfast wasn't very good - we tried it once and afterwards ate outside.The location wasn't too bad - about 10 stops on the Metro to the Eiffel tower, and was also close to a major shopping centre

Good for a short stay

Good value, small but nicely furnished and clean room, although the bed might be a little small for some. Good friendly service, lovely reception space and the WiFi was reliable. Really near a metro stop, but otherwise the immediate area is so-so. Finally, the room was super quiet! 3rd floor at the back.

Nice base for weekend break

My wife and I stayed there for three nights for our first anniversary trip away.

Easy to find, No.5 metro line (orange) from Gare du Nord to Campo Formio. Just a couple of minute walk from here.

Hotel was as described and very reasonably priced. Check-in was hassle free as the staff spoke good English and were informative about the facilities (Free Wi-Fi was excellent in our room). We stayed at a quiet time and there was not much people about.

The room was cleaned each day when we returned from sightseeing with fresh towels and toiletries as required. Room was small, but this was not unexpected and there was plenty of room for the two of us, good storage space and comfy bed too.

The ventilation fans were not that effective and I would have imagined it would have been quite stuffy in the summer months, we slept with the windows wide open.

All in all a great base for a sightseeing trip where you would not be spending much time in the hotel room. Clean and more than adequate facilities for that. 4 star rating is questionable but no complaints.

Hotel is very easy to get to from the airport, a few metro station location very closely so easy to get around to the different sites and restaurants Paris has to offer... we really enjoyed our stay here the staff were great very friendly .... our room was nice and clean and a decent size also... would visit and stay here again ....

Disappointing

Location was ok for the places in Paris that we wanted to visit. Room was compact - on two levels - which separated the bedroom area from the bathroom and toilet. Expensive mini bar. Air conditioning was inadequate - Paris was very hot during our stay. Room equipped well but in need of redecoration.14€ charged per day for breakfast. Complained to reception when a cockroach was found in the room. Reception staff varied from professional and helpful to downright rude. We will not choose this hotel again.

Comfortable & Reasonable

This hotel is approx 50 minutes walk to the Notre Dame / Latin Quarter area or 15 minutes by bus, which are located outside the hotel. The roomsa re quiet, spacious, cleaned every day with a change of towel and helpful staff. The decor is a little odd, not that that matters. Taxis cost around 60 Euros to the airport and the journey takes around an hour, dependant on the traffic around the airport - which can be a nightmare. The metro is just outside the hotel too but we found the buses more convenient, as you can see the sights whilst you trave. The hotel brought us teas/coffees in the morning for three euros a drink but we didn't eat there. There a number of bistros close to the hotel for drinks and food of any type, including a wells tocked supermarket. May not be the best location for all because of the distance but the closer you get into Paris the more expensive it is
