Being at place d’Italie location is absolutely fabulous with easy access to everywhere. There were maintenance problems. There was a problem with hot water and it was not fixed for more than 24 hours. One of the two elevators never worked. There was a planned power outage the day we were leaving.

Immediately we LOVED this cozy property, perfectly located in a shopping center with an IKEA! why is an IKEA important? affordable provisions for the apartment like an extra pan, or frozen foods at the same cost you're used to paying in your local IKEA. On Sunday there's a HUGE open market up the block where you can get fresh meat, produce, spices and extras. The Louvre and Notre Dame are a walkable distance away, but the train will get you there faster. The transit system is easy to negotiate. I can't say enough good things about this hotel and the location. My service dog was accepted without paying extra or presenting my medical records. I WILL be returning for the holidays and I've already recommended it to friends and family.

Stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and not once was the room cleaned. Guests had to go downstairs themselves to get clean towels. Trash in the room was never taken out, customers had to throw it in the hallway bins, which led to an unpleasant odor throughout the corridor. additionally, some of the power outlets in the room were damaged and never repaired or replaced. Overall, the hotel is poorly managed.

- complicated booking/check in system. Confirmed as accepted... Followed later by many emails requesting same info - to the extent i emailed them asking if I had been scammed. Silence then. Upon check in, more of the same! Check in from 3pm. Arrived after well 4. Room not ready. Had told them eta. Many rooms not ready. When finally I gained access I found that the fridge did not work - essential for my medication. Change of room....time wasted.
At time of my stay, only one small lift operating. Ridiculous.
Towels small and very well used. Limited drying - and I'm a small person.
Room cleaned/serviced once during my 11 day stay. No teabags/coffee...
First morning queried the air conditioning. Oh that doesnt come on until May!
Two fire alarms late in the evening. Upon descending, receptionist checking in new arrivals. No one checking those assembling on street. 2nd time I stayed in my room. No check.
Asked reception for location of nearest Tourist Office. Grudgingly given and as for directions of how to get there.... Two other times I asked for help. One time told repeatedly to get a taxi in spite of my stating that I was not going to. Another time receptionist repeatedly left me waiting whilst she dealt with others. Rude. This also happened when checking out. Obviously not there to help.
2 good things - lovely clean shopping mall, with a supermarket part of the complex and metro directly opposite. Place d'Italie very pretty.

My 3rd visit to Hotel. Very happy with location - I have friends living near place d'italie.
Small kitchen - mall next door with Carrefour. 4 metro lines. Easy to get to anywhere in Paris.

Small park a couple blocks away if you are a runner.

I don't know the complaint about hot water - but My complaint is - that it is too Hot. 🔥

No problem with front desk - but I didn't need help.

Location was fantastic. Situated by a shopping mall so you could walk next door to Uniqlo, Zara, supermarket, Starbucks and McDonald’s and many other stores. Walkable to the nearest metro station. Reception staff were polite. The studio room we booked looked a bit old or perhaps it was the lightning. The beater did make some noise but once off, it was peaceful.

Near shopping mall and chinatown so endless resturants and options around to explore that is not touristy. Weekend has farmers market around the corner that span down a long street with many different vendors selling food to miscellaneous items. Also down a different street there is a heavy middle-eastern section that have their own kind of farmers maket with different vendors selling different things as well. Good location to unwind later in night with own kitchenette to then heat up and/or cook things you brought.

The room was poorly maintained and dark / gloomy. The only window was internal, facing into a shopping centre, with scaffolding up over it, so there was zero privacy without closing the curtain at all times. No cleaning, no replacement towels etc. Really disappointing. Fortunately, it is in a good location with nice restaurants around and a metro stop on the doorstep.

Stayed with my sister in a twin room. Our room was out of the way on the top floor, which meant we didn't hear any other guests moving around. However it was still quite noisy at night as the hotel is situated by a busy square full of bars and shops.

The location was excellent, 30 second walk to the métro Station which is served by multiple lines. It is also next door to a shopping centre with a big supermarket which is great for an apparthotel.

I do think that the photos shown on the website are quite misleading - the hotel itself is more run down than the images suggest.

Overall I would stay again but it wouldn't be my first choice.

These were ok for a short stay but much less 'homely' than other Citadines we have stayed in. They were well located for public transport.

The apartment was spacious, with a separate toilet and shower room. However the toilet room was so small and badly designed that when the door opened inwards it practically touched the toilet seat, which meant that you had to squeeze in and out of the room. I would imagine that for larger and less mobile people this could be an issue.

The drinks machine for guests had limited options and no takeaway cups available unlike the previous Citadines we had stayed in in Kensington. We had to bring cups down 7 floors from our apartment to be able to use the coffee machine.

On arrival there were no dishwasher tablets in the kitchenette. I asked at reception for 2 extra pillows for my daughters and was told we couldn't have any. I fed this back to Citadines and received a terse email with no apologies informing me dishwasher tablets were in the kitchen drawer (they weren't), and extra pills were available in the hallway cupboards (they weren't).

I wouldn't choose to stay here again, the Citadines at Montmartre that we stayed in later in the week was much nicer.

Nothing is unique about the property, other than an excellent location. It is just acceptable at an affordable price in a very expensive city. Passengers should not expect standard features in US hotels, like a proper shower and shampoo/conditioning in the bathroom, or regular change of towels and bed sheets -- this happens only after 5 days. The bathroom I got was very small and just had a movable shower -- not a standard shower on top.

A just OK breakfast for 15Euro seems a bit expensive, given the good options nearby.

The picture in the Expedia site is not consistent with the room I got, and is a bit misleading.

The Citadines property at Place d'Italie is conveniently located to shopping, dining, transportation, and groceries-all great! However, it is located within a larger structure that is currently undergoing significant construction, and there is/are renovations going on inside the property, as well. During a recent stay in late June 2023, the sound of drilling was transmitted through the walls, was loud and started early in the morning! You'll be an early riser for sure!

The room we stayed in is actually owned by an individual and rented through the hotel. It was kind of strange. The room was very plain and “blah” although it was comfortable. Had a decent breakfast. No daily housekeeping. Location was okay. The city is a few miles away we used Uber. Uber is cheaper than taxi. Our Uber average was 20 euros vs 30 euros for taxi. We checked out and they were kind enough to let us store our bags until the late afternoon

I would not recommend staying here. Here is why:

pros: great location. easily accessible via metro

cons:
The room smells of smoke.
The sound insulation is extremely poor. The floors are wood (and not carpeted), so every time someone upstairs drags a chair, you hear it really well.
The hair dryer was broken. I only found out after taking a shower. The front desk said they don't have any extra hair dryers. Had to sleep with wet hair.
The room needs updating. Everything is very old.

Bed was very comfortable; room and bathroom were clean; kitchen was adequate for cooking with a microwave and two stovetop burners; plenty of dishes, cookware, and utensils; nice to have access to extra towels whenever you needed them; shower head needed replacement - jets were shooting off in random directions which was annoying. Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating; they even escorted us to the closed dining room to get some tea they were out of in the lobby. Very convenient to Metro, shopping, grocery stores, restaurants. Overall, a good choice for a very reasonable rate. Would choose to stay here again.

Transport links are great; lines 7 (pink) and 5 (green) are immediately in front of the hotel. It takes around 17 minutes to get to the Louvre stop from the hotel.

Having the little kitchenette was very convenient; it saved us some money as we could have breakfast there - we just popped out to the local patisserie and had coffee and croissants in the room.

We had to break our stay into 3 different bookings due to the unavailability of a single studio for our whole long stay. Stayed in Studio and Apartment.

Gaetano from reception was there to help us check-in and he took the initiative to make the arrangements so that we could shift rooms easily and early. Appreciate Gaetano's help otherwise we would have to check out at 11am with all our luggage and then check in again at 3pm each time we changed a room.

The property is at the side of a mall with Carrefour Hypermart, retail and restaurants. There are many buses all around the Apart'hotel, within easy walking distance. Metro is just a mere 20-30 steps away. (This was a blessing to us because my partner had a sudden foot tendon inflammation at the start of our trip and couldn't walk far or unaided with his cane.)

All guests should be aware by now that the Paris Citadines Apart'hotel has cleaning once a week. Necessities such as fresh towels and loo rolls can be taken from the amenities room with your room card access. Coffee and Tea is provided FOC at both reception and the breakfast room. Just bring your own coffee mugs from the room to take the beverages.

The dishwasher and electrical wiring in 2 of the rooms are a little wonky but none of these were issues for us, just work round it. The rooms are comfortable and clean for us and location is fantastic. We will continue to stay in Citadines each time we are in Paris.

We had to break our long holiday at Citadines and book an apartment for one of the days when all studios were fully booked.

This is an amazing space that is a little loft-like. Bedroom is adequate with a double bed (small Queen size) and a sofa bed in the kitchen / dining space.

Shower and Toilet are separated into 2 different cubicles (separated by a wall) so take note for those who cannot handle it.

Our kitchen view was fantastic because you can see the Eiffel Tower in the distance so taking a video of the light-up every hour from 8pm was great!

We had the pleasure of service from reception staff (Gaetano and Igor) who are very pleasant professionals!

We had the pleasure of service from Igor and he is one of the most pleasant staff we have encountered thus far. Conversant in English and always ready with his winning smile.

Staying in an apart'hotel requires a little knowledge prepared-ness before your stay. Cleaning is once a week and be prepared for minor issues such as a broken dish-washer or some such. Everything can be fixed as long as you communicate this properly with reception and give things a little time to be fixed. As long as you are prepared, you will have a very pleasant stay like we did.

This was the first time I stayed \"rive gauche\" in Paris and I loved it. Place d'Italie is a nice and convenient area for strolling and places to go. All transport means at the step of your door. Great restaurants or places for just a coffee or a bite. And Citadines in the middle of it; really great. Personnel very friendly. They had the patience to listen to my rusty French language; merci. I will certainly come back there, something I'm not used to do, because I like changing places. But Citadines will be an exception. Au revoir Citadines!

I'm in Paris. Not a typical hotel but more like an apartment so I have snacks and beverages in my room. There's not daily maid service but they will honor any request. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Excellent modern Apart-Hotel, well-situated, close to metro and bus, huge shopping center in same building, plenty of restaurants, scenic traditional neighborhood nearby, very attentive and nice staff. Recommend without reservation.

Not professional services. Not helpful staff.

The staff at hotel are not helpful and not professional. They just cared for the customer to pay for the full price before check into the room. They won't listen to the customer's concern. There's couple of days short of hot water, we have to wait till next day to take a shower. One night was out of power in our room, we have to use flash light to go to bathroom. The room is for four person, but there's only two chairs. I doubted the size of the room is not as mentioned in the booking. I would not recommend my friends to stay in this hotel.
