Relais Saint Sulpice is a comfortable, well- established small hotel with a nice, relaxed feel. The rooms have a romantic character, but with modern bathrooms, and there’s an elevator. If you’re looking for a little peace and quiet, the location is terrific- right behind Saint Sulpice on a side street. The Luxembourg gardens are a short walk, and the Odeon/St Germain bar/cafe areas are close as well.

The staff is a strength- friendly and professional, I can speak to their courtesy and willingness to assist when difficulties occur while traveling. If you’re looking to stay on the left bank, convenient to public transport and tourist hotspots, without being in the middle of the bar/restaurant scene this is an excellent choice.

What a great area to stay in - 6th Arrondissement / Saint-Germain-des-Pres is a vibrant upscale area, that is still close to the museums, etc. As an older solo traveler, I felt very safe here. The hotel is quaint and is on a quiet street. My room was clean and the bed, amazing! The front desk attendants were kind and very helpful. Thank you for making my second trip to Paris better than the first!! I will return!

The room was a little small but comfortable. It just needs some updating and a tall mirror :) The bed was comfortable. The staff were amazing. Everyone was very nice, accommodating and helpful. The hotel is facing the beautiful Saint Sulpice historical church which is very much worth visiting. The area, Saint Germain, is very walkable and safe, close to the grocery markets, restaurants, laundromat, shopping, Métro stations and so on… I had a great stay and I highly recommend it.

Cute property- just beware of smaller, room!

The staff was excellent. Helpful, friendly and greeted me warmly each time. The small room itself was very dark. Nice to have slippers and a towel warmer to dry one’s towels. The bathroom is tired and showed signs of mildew. I’d say this was a 3 star hotel at best, though the property itself was very quaint. Excellent location.

What a lovely gem of a property! Off a quiet street, a world outside of delicious restaurants, shops, and history. The staff was kind and helpful, the room comfortable and charming. From the antiques throughout the property, the self service bar, and stacks of books to browse, I cannot imagine a better place to have stayed during our time in Paris.

A delightful little hotel in a great section of Paris. An easy walk to some great sights, but not in an overly touristy neighborhood. Touches like fabric wall\"paper\" make it very unusual. It did need decent lighting in the closet area, where we could barely see a thing. And I would go out for breakfast; the one here isn't up to French standards, But there are plenty of excellent cafes just around the corner. We certainly plan to stay here the next time we're in Paris.

I really enjoyed my stay at this beautiful property. Its courtyard is green and fragrant with jasmine and Ivy and so peaceful and serene. The rooms and bathrooms are clean and well appointed. The front desk staff are friendly and so helpful. I wanted to
give a shout out to Jinane on the front desk. She was always kind, respectful and attentive with a beautiful smile and a can- do attitude. And finally, it’s a great location, next to wonderful food, shopping and of course the beautiful Siene! I will go back to this hotel in a heartbeat!

Such a lovely little boutique hotel in the heart of the Saint-Germain neighborhood - literally right behind the famous St. Sulpice church! Front desk staff was amazing with offering us recommendations, helping us make dinner reservations, and just overall great in general (I had to print something last minute and they were very helpful).

Can't beat the location - hotel is very centrally located with lots of dining options right around the corner and big Paris tourist sites were just walking distances away. As two young women - we felt very safe in the area and walking around at night which was very important to us.

Rooms are small (if you have big suitcases there's not much room) but this might be typical of Paris. Also, room temperature leans on the hot side during the night.

Would definitely come back here again and would recommend!

L'hotel Relais St Sulpice is in good neighborhood , the room is clean ,the bed comfortable. However, there are two concerns. The first, the safe in room is in a small box on the floor, I had to lay down to operate safe , there was no light in his small compartment , I had to borrow a flash light to operate said safe.I am not a teenager being senior this was very difficult.The shower in bathroom had no way to be turned on , the dial is missing.The front desk was polite and friendly.This was room number 1. Maybe another room would be different. I voiced this concerned to the gentlemen in front desk.This should not happen in 4 star property.

Make sure the A/C is working in your room

Nice hotel; good location. We were given a room with no working air conditioning- the plug-in fan in the room should have been a clue. After calling the front desk we were told it could take \"a few minutes\" for the air to turn on. After 30 minutes, we asked the front desk to move us. She took us to another room with a fan, where the air conditioning was also broken. We had to firmly request to be taken to a room with working air conditioning and were finally given such a room. I believe the hotel knows that not all rooms have working air conditioning and intentionally give them to you if you use a 3rd party to book, such as hotels . com. If air conditioning is an important consideration when booking, be sure you are given a room that has it when the weather is very hot. Other than that the hotel is nice, toiletries are limited to shampoo and body wash- no hair conditioner or body lotion. Coffee in the room is not good tasting. We noticed on the maid's cart that some rooms have Nespresso pods so it seems we were given a room with lower quality amenities. he hair dryer is also very bad- it only blows hot and warm air-no cool button that would be expected in a 4 star hotel and you have to squeeze the handle to make the air flow. There is only one mirror in the whole room, in the bathroom- which makes it hard for 2 people to get ready at the same time.No fan in the bathroom. Street noise is loud if you have a street side room. Didn't bother us but might if you are noise-sensitive

Comfort and convenience, with a few quirks

Stayed for three nights while in Paris briefly for a friend's wedding. Check-in was very easy and it was great that they were able to give me a room earlier than normal check-in since I had travelled overnight and needed to clean up. The room was very comfortable and the location was super convenient both for the weekend's festivities and for accessing le Metro.

My only two issues were:
1. You couldn't have the windows open without the blackout curtains in front of them because there was no other option for covering the windows, which looked out onto a small courtyard...and all the other rooms' windows.
2. My check-out was much longer than necessary. Person checking me out was nice enough but first seemed fixated on booking a taxi for me, even though he couldn't do it quickly and i was able to get an uber in about 5 minutes. Then he kept having trouble keeping straight what papers he gave me and didn't give me. Then he asked if I could pay the taxes in cash, which I couldn't because I was about to get on a plane back to the US. Mind you, all of this happened at about 3:30am.

Wonderful location in the heart of the 6th ARR. but this is not a 4 star hotel, 3 at best.
Our room was small and there were two chairs provided, one had a broken arm and the other was so flimsy we only put our daily backpacks on them for fear of them collapsing under our weight!
The bathroom was huge and no complaints here other than the strange table like contraption in the centre which is suspect is to be used to hold your toiletries but never had any glass shelf in the centre so you couldn't actually store anything, weird.
The room would have a stale smell upon returning late in the afternoon from our sightseeing and the aircon was non-existent, so much so that took a photo of the aircon control panel which was hanging off the wall exposing wires etc, clearly a safety issue which needs addressed.
Overall, great location which would be ok for max 3 nights, we're coming back to Paris in November as loved it but will be staying in Montmartre next time!

I enjoyed looking into the central garden area and especially appreciated the comfortable beds, daily clean sheets, and quiet in the evening so sleeping was as comfortable as at home. The three doors for the bathroom and shower areas were a charming novelty, except in the middle of the night when I was trying to find my way to the bathroom without turning on the light! (This was something for us to laugh about the next morning--not a problem!) I highly recommend your hotel.

Tucked in a quiet street behind the beautiful Saint Sulpice church. A block from Luxembourg Gardens. Very close to a lot of restaurants, shops and metro stops. You cannot beat the location. We really enjoyed this location, and slept very well in comfy beds and excellent blackout curtains. Very cute room with a window overlooking the courtyard. Generous breakfast (baguette, croissants, jams, honey, nutella, veggies, meats, eggs, sausage, coffees and fruit juices) and room cleaning daily, plus we got one free water bottle in our room every day which was nice to know was there after a long day. There was a little mold in the shower and the shower head could have used a cleaning, but overall the room was great and we would absolutely stay again.

Adorable boutique hotel in a prime location! This is a classic Paris hotel offering old world charm and exceptional service. We stayed on the first floor in room #6-it was a “double” room which was small, but with the addition of a hallway and separate toilet room and bathroom, offered enough space for the two of us. One thing to note is that the double room is really just two twin beds pushed together, so not ideal if you like to sleep close to your partner. If you are looking for something that feels less like a corporate chain hotel and more like a bed-and-breakfast, this is the place for you!

I reserved my room 2 months in advance and received confirmation but upon my arrival, the hotel informed me that there was no room and that I was assigned a room in a sister hotel about 10 minutes away. There was no notification ahead of time , no explanation, no apologies, no compensation for my troubles. During the stay, the staff at the “sister” hotel to which I was assigned was generally unhelpful. I would never stay in this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone nor would I recommend the “sister” hotel.

This was listed as a 4 star hotel - it certainly is not that. It is however very clean, comfy and well located. The vast majority of staff I found to be friendly and helpful, especially Marcol. There is one male staff member who worked the night desk several nights who was rather rude and unprofessional. I like nightlife and will frequently arrive back at the hotel later than most other guests. He had the front doors locked - no problem - except when I was finally able to get him to come open them, he seemed quite irritated with me. He would sleep I’m the lobby on the couch, which I don’t care about, but at least 3 times he would say rude things to me until I finally had to say something to him. That seemed to change his behavior, but I shouldn’t have to be put in that position. Overall, the hotel stay was a positive experience and I would stay there again.

A lovely spot in the centre of Paris

As others have noted, the location of Le Relais Saint Sulpice could not be better, as it is just a short walk to some of the city's most vibrant and active areas. We particularly enjoyed our room's beautiful view of l'Eglise Saint-Sulpice, and slept very well in the comfortable bed every night. We would definitely return again. Many thanks to the hotel staff members, all of whom were friendly and very helpful.

Great location, quiet, and the bed was very comfy. The rooms are a bit tired, but I would definitely stay there again. The location can’t be beat!
