Good for short (overnight) stays

Good little apartment for a short (overnight) stay, very central location, staff really friendly & very helpful. However no air on & overall need of modernisation (definitely bathroom). Note you can’t park close so have to leave in car park & 10min walk to apartment.

Mixture of good bad

Nice B&B, great location, friendly owner, cheap but noisy and poor breakfast

Great location - short walk to square

Owner was really helpful and friendly.

Room stayed nice and cool during the heat. Able to keep windows closed and still be cool.

“Breakfast” was 1 pastry OR 1 roll and a coffee from local cafe.

Very noisy as it is clearly the route home for drunks. Both nights between 3:30am and 4am all the drunks were being really loud as they went home. This was despite keeping windows closed. Also thin walls as the neighbors on second night, could hear them chatting at 3am. Pretty sure they were just talking at normal volume.

A great place with a lot of character

This hotel was in a wonderful part of Siena. About a 9 minute walk from the municipal parking garage. Lots of interesting restaurants in the area. If you like old rooms in a very old building, you will love this place. We did. Breakfast was in a bar just down the street and typical for Italy: cornetto and cappuccino. My family and I would return in a heartbeat.

Nice apartment in the center of town

Location is great and service was over the top. I was contacted about arrival time. When I didn't arrive when I said I would due to the airline losing my luggage, I was contacted again to ensure everything was ok, I wasn't lost, etc. We were greeted when we finally did arrive, and he answered all the questions we had about the local area. The apartment was nice, and after a long day of travel, the separate living room and bedroom was greatly appreciated. Hje lone negative is that the bathroom is small. The location is great, maybe a 2 minute walk to the center square. Highly recommended.

Quaint clean quiet base to explore beautiful Siena

This was a great place for our family of 4 to spend a day/night in Siena. The host is wonderful. The beds are comfortable, kitchenette well stocked and the bathroom is small but updated. Very comfortable and steps to el Campo and restaurants and all that Siena has to offer.

Perfect stay in Modena

Traditional apartment which has been made into a bnb - rooms are huge and beautiful in the traditional style, it is in great location where you can come and go, host was really friendly and helpful with great food recommendations and you can get a free coffee and pastry from the cafe a few doors down. Overall better than expected and would definitely recommend!

This is a wonderful little hotel. The couple that runs it are very warm and welcoming. The room was beautiful and had elements salvaged from historic buildings in Italy that are hundreds of years old.

Beautiful stately hotel near major sites

The hotel was beautiful, the wonderful ceilings and paintings from it's past life as a stately home remained, but the hotel was also perfectly modern. The room with the shared bathroom was no problem. We never ran in to the other guests we were sharing it with and it's just a few doors down the hall. The bed was very cozy and we had all the amnetities we needed. Overall great stay.

Unfortunately too dark and cold

An unfortunate stay in the center of a beautiful city. This hotel is not a \"Hotel\". Although Alessio was an amazing person who checked us in, it couldn't redeem the fact that this 900 year old building felt more like we were in a Game of Thrones episode. Very dark. No A/C. Shared bathroom. Beside it being in the city center, it doesn't have anything going for it.

Close to the action

A long way from the station on foot. Very close to the famous horse racing arena. We had the room with kitchen so totally seperate and private. Need to put some dark curtains on the bedroom. Very pleasant otherwise.

Charming room, 900 yr old building, il Campo.

Charming room in a 900 year old building one block from Il Campo, 10 blocks from the train station. Separate bath down the hall. We did not pre-arrange arrival with host, but we got lucky - he is only there 10:00-14:00. Quiet and comfortable in a great location. Breakfast is a coupon to a local restaurant for a cappuccino and croissant, so a bit disappointing.

This was an amazing place to stay. It is situated less than 300 metres from the Piazza. The restaurants are within walking distance and the host Alessio, will point out places of interest and where to eat. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Beautiful!

This is a wonderful place to stay! How often does one get to stay in a centuries-old building, feeling back in time, and yet having all the modern ammenities you need? The rooms are beautifully appointed and we always felt very well cared for. Alessi was more than willing to help us with questions and irections, and gave wonderful background information on his hotel and the city of Siena.

Convenient and clean, good host

Place is very clean and nice. It is in probably a few hundred years old building, amazing ceiling & ceiling light, some period furniture.There is an elevator. Very close to main square, Duomo and other historical sites, good places to eat. Alessio was very kind and helpfull with all our needs. We would love to come back.

We stayed in the 'quadruple room' with the kitchenette, great room with everything we needed, comfortable bed, great shower, kitchen with everything we needed and wifi.

Excellent location really close to the Piazza del Campo. Alessio was really helpful with how to find the B&B and local restaurant recommendations (we tried 3 of them and they were all excellent).

Check in and check out were really easy and we were given vouchers to get coffee and a pastry for breakfast from a local bar, just what we wanted in the morning! Thank you Alessio, would highly recommend All'ombra della torre!

Amazing place in the center of Siena

Absolutely amazing place in the center of Siena - in close proximity to each landmark of the city. It is no farther than 150 meters from Piazza del Campo.
The apartment has absolutely everything you need to feel like home - comfortable and cosily.
Our host - Alessio is one of the most wonderful people I have met lately - always smiling, so kind and helpful.
The stay at All'ombra della Torre made our journey even more memorable. The next time I go to Siena, I will be delighted and happy to stay there again.

charming and convenient

This is a beautiful b&b. Our room was spacious and lovely, full of antiques. We shared a bathroom, but that was never an inconvenience. A continental breakfast was provided down the street, and we were three blocks from Il Campo. It was a comfortable and pleasant stay. We'd stay here again.

Tuscan B&B at the heart of Siena

We've never stayed at a B&B before, but would definitely recommend staying at this place. The man checking us in was very helpful, gave us tips on places to visit as well as recommendations of where to eat. I'd definitely take his advice as the restaurants around Piazza del Campo are average and overpriced. The room was spacious and had a Tuscan feel to it. We opted for the private room so we could have our own bathroom, and the bathroom was nice, big, and very clean. Location was great too as it was walking distance to all the major sites.

Une adresse de charme et très romantique

Un établissement qui a beaucoup de cachet et chambre triple très confortable.
L'environnement est calme puisque dans la zone à circulation restreinte (sauf un peu le matin quand passent les livreurs. Mais rien de dérangeant)
Nous avons eu un souci pour payer le parking et Alessio nous a aidés d'excellente façon. Merci pour sa gentillesse et sa disponibilité.
Un peu difficile à trouver sans GPS et, surtout, bien rentrer par la porta Roma pour éviter des ruelles trop étroites pour qu'une voiture ne passe. Et, par cette porte, c'est un jeu d'enfant.
Le wifi fonctionne très bien.
Le point négatif (et le seul) est le petit déjeuner : un bon pour aller prendre une boisson et une viennoiserie dans un bar à proximité. D'un autre côté, le café et les viennoiseries sont top :-)
A préciser aussi, c'est un excellent emplacement pour découvrir la ville (tout à moins d'un 1/4 d'heure.
Une adresse à vraiment recommander.

Best place,close to everything,excellent host.The only bad was the breakfast and the bathroom smell.Breakfast was just coffee and one sweet croissant so my husband payed 3.5 euro just to have a croissant with cheese and ham.Otherwise all was great!!!!
