The room was clean with plenty of towels and hot water and great water pressure. The view was incredible. The staff was awesome, they answered all of our questions and were so kind. The location is unbeatable, four major sites are less than 10 mins walking. We loved the vending machines for a quick drink! Would highly recommend for anyone coming to Siena. A very quaint hotel that used to house the nuns dedicated to Saint Catherine of Siena. Comfortable, cozy, warm and friendly staff and located ideally for exploring the Sanctuary of Saint Catherine of Siena and the Dominican church that holds her relics.

This hotel is in a great location in Siena as you can almost drive to the door (you do need to park away from the hotel) to drop off luggage and you are on the edge of the old town of Siena and its square. We had a balcony with a great view of the old town and breakfast and service from the front desk were great!

The hotel was so much better than we expected! STUNNING view from our little terrace and a nice breakfast. Clean and had what we needed. It was a bit loud in the mornings, but that’s to be expected with how central we were (it was external noise). A/C worked well enough. Great value for money.

We had a great stay at Alma Domus we booked an economy double which was a good size with a very comfortable bed and was spotlessly clean. The bathroom was clean and everything worked as it should. The room was serviced daily. The location was great close to a bus terminal and only a short walk to the Duomo and main Piazza and approximately 15/20 minutes walk from the train station (there is a bus too and taxis are available) For the price it is amazing value as the breakfast is fabulous and really sets you up for the day. If we were to return to Siena we would certainly book to stay in the Alma Domus.

Excellent value for money. This is more like a 3* than a 1* hotel. The cost of the stay was less than half that of most hotels in Siena. Views across Siena from the rooms’ balconies/terraces are this hotel’s greatest asset.
I had booked a classic double room and the bed was extremely comfortable. Rooms were not very spacious, but there was room to move around. The bathroom was very small, but the power shower was very welcome.
Breakfast was satisfactory with cold meats, cheeses, pastries etc.

The Alma Domus really couldn’t have been any better for my 2 night stay in Siena. As a solo traveller I’m used to a small room and a single bed but the room was spacious and I had a queen bed. Bathroom was large and shower hot with good power. Everything was immaculately clean. I even had a view of the Duomo! Particularly pretty at night. Location was perfect. Everything you want to see within a 10
minute walk. And breakfast was a treat. Cappuccino, fresh fruit, yoghurt, pastries & other sweet things as well as meats and cheese. Fabulous - thank you.

Alma Domus was a gem! The view from the room was magical! We could also see the statue of Santa Caterina to the left. All of the staff were very helpful. Breakfast was amazing every day, a great variety!! Handy also to have snack, water and coffee machine. The location was perfect as well… we were close to everything. Siena is hilly, so be prepared for that! There were a couple of great restaurants just at the top of our street…especially the pizzeria! This hotel was perfect for us!

We loved everything about our stay apart from the parking which is quite a distance from the property and a bit tricky to find if you you don't know the roads. It was raining heavily and we got saturated walking back from the car park. Otherwise we had a fantastic view from the room, the breakfast was lovely and the room was comfortable.

What an amazing stay! The hotel is in a great location from the bus stop (we came from Florence). Walkable to all the main sights. Its quiet except you can hear the bell ringing in the morning but this was really nice. Everything was clean and good facilities, breakfast had great choice ! The staff couldn't have been kinder or more accommodating both before and after check in/check out. The luggage storage was especially convenient. I wish we had stayed another night, I would definitely stay here again!

Alma Domus is a jewel of a hotel in a jewel of a city. The rooms are simple,, comfortable, and ours, at least, had a spectacular view. It's located in a quiet part of Siena but easily walkable to all the sites. There's quite a good restaurant, just a few yards away. The staff was incredibly helpful, and the breakfast we had there was great. This has become my go-to hotel anytime I'm in Siena.

Fine for one night for the price but I would never do anything more than that. Very thin walls where you can hear your neighbors talking and slamming their doors. Room was set up and looked like an old hospital. Shower pressure not great. If you need a hotel for a night it’s fine but it’s also a trek of a walk from the train station. Plan on a 25 minute hike up hill both ways.

Very convenient to most all attractions in the historic center of Siena. The views from the hotel and our room (with a city view) were spectacular. The hotel was very clean, the staff were welcoming each time we left or arrived from our daily visits. The room keys are kept at the front desk and the desk is staffed 24-hours with very polite and friendly clerks. Breakfast was simple, but very good, offering a variety of fruit typical pastries, breads and cheeses. Expressos and cappuccinos were well prepared by breakfast staff and free flowing. Nearby restaurants have great menus for other dining experiences. The check-in was smooth and staff made sure that our rental car was registered with the local police to allow us to enter to ZTL. Be prepared to hear bells from the nearby cathedral 24 hours a day, although at night they are simple chimes and much quieter than the daylight hours. I can't think of a better location and welcoming place as the Hotel Alma Domus, and the City of Siena

The property is great, and the staff was very good. The view from the balcony was awesome, looking at the Cathedral. The only issue we had was that it was very loud on Saturday night until 2 am, sounded like a party being held nearby.

It was unique because the entrance is along an outdoor staircase of about 200 steps in a city of many levels. The entrance is also on the top floor. It’s situated in a section of Siena that has a remarkable view of the rooftops and the Duomo.

Please follow the indication for football stadium choosing SIENA OVEST from the highway in order to avoid a calculated route with access to the gates (ZTL ZONE). The Hotel is NOT responsible for fines for those who reach us, being outside the ZTL area.
We also inform you that we do not have private parking and therefore we suggest some solutions. Public car parks 800 meters from the hotel: Parcheggio Il Campino (under the Siena’s Fortress); on white line spaces (free); on blue line spaces (with a fee).
