We loved everything about this hotel! First, our flight into Rome was very delayed, making us arrive in Siena at nearly 1:00 am. We called ahead and spoke with Elena, who arranged for us to be able to access our room so very late (the hotel front desk closes at 10:00 pm). Our room surpassed expectations—large and comfortable bed, great storage for our stuff, excellent air conditioning, and a spectacular view of the Duomo and City Hall bell tower. Breakfast each morning was delicious. Highly recommend Villa Elda Boutique Hotel!

Very clean and staff is very friendly.
The air conditioning is via the floor which was not enough air circulation for me so I asked for a fan and than it was great.
Good walking distance to the center. Next time I’ll go back to it again.

Sara was wonderful! So helpful and friendly.

The property is in a lovely, quiet neighborhood in easy walking distance to the downtown area of Siena. We took a taxi to the Duomo on our first day so we could see where things were and then walked everywhere the rest of the time.

An excellent room (we were ground floor and I don't think there were elevators so be careful if that is an issue). It was bright and airy and quite comfortable and clean.

Feel like family, with the best view in the city

What can I say. This was our first time in Siena and my first time in Italy for some 28 years. Jimmy is the perfect host. Nothing is too much trouble for him and the rest of the staff. They have great knowledge of Siena and the surrounding area so you can really go and do and eat and drink like a local.
The rooms are clean, well appointed and maintained excellently.
The breakfast had just enough variation without being overwhelming and is a great start to the day.
The location of the hotel is perfect for exploring Siena and the surrounding area. We base ourselves here for a whole week.
Finally, the hotel’s terrace must have one of the best views of Siena, taking in the Duomo, Torre del Mangia and much more.
I cannot recommend a stay here enough. If we visit Siena again we will definitely be staying here again.

Great hospitality at this wonderful hotel. The staff were so friendly and attentive, offering lots of advice and serving drinks on the scenic terrace. Our room was tastefully decorated with a lovely original fresco visible on the ceiling. Just a short walk into town with lots of restaurants nearby and free street parking outside. Our only complaint was that we visited during an unseasonably cold and wet patch of weather, yet the rooms were really hot at night with no fan or air conditioning which disturbed our sleep. We would highly recommend this hotel.

The staff is very helpful, making restaurant recommendations and even offering to call for reservations. The hotel is very clean, breakfast is wonderful, and the location is convenient to the bus station (we actually walked to it from the train station and enjoyed seeing the city, but it's quite hilly so don't choose that option unless you are fit) .

We stayed here in 2012 and again in October 2018. I would highly recommend this hotel, but am told that the ownership is changing on Nov 1, 2018, so anything could change.

View of Sienna from second floor was absolutely amazing. They also have a rooftop lookout lounge area where you can get the view if you don't have it in your room. Only stayed one night but we thought it was a very nice hotel with friendly helpful staff and a good breakfast which can be had in an outdoor garden setting if you like.

Charming Bed and Breakfast

Set a bit off the beaten path in lovely Siena, Villa Elda was charming and quaint. Rooms are spacious relative to other hotels in Italy, beds were comfy and the space was spotless. We had a second floor room that had spectacular views. Air conditioning is not the best - it comes from the floor - so request a fan and leave the windows open at night. Breakfast was simple but delicious and they offered 3-4 different types of coffee including American. They have a lovely outdoor garden to eat or just to sit and relax. But unlike other hotels, they do not have any amenities (apart from a small mini-bar and coffee maker in your room) so if you want lunch, snack, dinner you have to walk into town. It's a short walk with lots to see along the way and Siena offers a multitude of choices for eateries, shopping and sights. We wanted to experience the charm of this area without being among the crowds and Villa Elda was just the place. Warning: there is no elevator or porter, so you will be carrying your own bags up and down the stairs. Overall a delightful experience.

This hotel is a beautiful old villa in a quiet residential area, a short walk from all the attractions of Siena. We paid extra for a city view room and it was well worth the small supplement, with superb views of the Duomo and the lovely red roofs of Siena. The weather was glorious while we there so it was an added bonus to be able to eat our breakfast in the garden. The young ladies who run this hotel were without exception friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. There are tea and coffee making facilities too, and free wi-if. If you are there on a Wednesday there is a huge market just around the corner - well worth a wander!

My wife and I stayed here for 3 days and loved everything about this place. The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff was very helpful. Siena is a great city, and very walkable (10 minute walk and in the middle of it all), so despite not being close to the action, we actually loved staying in a more residential area to get the quiet, calm atmosphere. Breakfast in the garden outside was a great way to start the morning. All in all, an excellent place to stay.

The mattress was quite hard and not comfortable but this seems to be a common theme throughout Tuscany. Lovely little garden breakfast. I would stay here again.

Villa Elda, a perfect place to call home.

We arrived at Villa Elda at the end of a month of travel throughout Italy. It was our final stay before flying home and what a joy! Villa Elda was just perfect. The staff, Veronica and Sarah were very warm and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble! One night we bought our own bits and pieces for a light supper in our room ( by this stage we were getting just a little jaded and eating in a restaurant was getting a little tiring.) We initially asked for some wine glasses, and then were offered plates and cutlery. Our staff member ( male) said at Villa Elda we like you to feel at home....he couldn't have spoken truer words. We felt so loved...and at home...beautiful!
The Villa is close enough to the old town of Siena to enjoy...about a 15 min walk and only 20 min from the bus interchange, but away from the tourist noise and crowds...Perfect location, perfect staff...10 out of 10.

Nice stay in a \"real\" neighbourhood.

After staying several nights within the old walls of different Tuscan towns, we decided to try a hotel just outside of the core. Although the Villa Elda was a little difficult to find initially (our GPS mixed things up every time we got to the town centers), it was worth the look. The building is located in a beautiful neighbourhood of old villas and has been totally redone inside. Our room was nice, we ate breakfast on the outdoor patio and the location to town was convenient and easily walkable. The best part though was the staff. They helped us with the parking and restaurant recommendations. The reservation they made for us at a small family run osteria was one of our favorites.

Lovely small hotel, close walk from historic Siena

We enjoyed our recent stay at Hotel Villa Elda on our recent honeymoon in Tuscany. This small hotel is located a short walk (perhaps 10 minutes) from the historic center of Siena. We found the staff, including Riccardo and Sara, to be very helpful and pleasant during our stay. Riccardo provided excellent recommendations for meals, and Sara gave us easy and accurate directions to the next stop on our trip, as we headed towards the coast and the island of Elba. Thank you again!

The hotel is small and very well maintained, and our room was spotless. A buffet breakfast was served from 0800 - 1000 inside the hotel, but tables were also available outside in the garden. After we helped ourselves to bread, ham, cheese, marmalade, fruit, and yogurt inside at the buffet and sat outside, hot beverages were served directly to us in the garden. We met and chatted with several lovely couples (hello Andy, Tracy, Libby and Michael!) over breakfast in the garden.

Siena is a gorgeous city, and Hotel Villa Elda is a comfortable, quiet spot just a short walk away to explore it from.

Stayed 1 night based on reviews and booked online - thought had car park but only parking space and need to book, however staff very helpful and found spot to leave car overnight. Convenient for walking into the town , approx 10 mins, but ina quiet residential area. Rooms fairly basic but more than adequate and clean. Breakfast as expected , simple buffet, but a much as you could eat. Staff very friendly and helpful. ll in all would recommend

We had a beautiful stay at Villa Elda while we visited Siena! The service was fantastic and the people there were always willing to help with anything! The rooms were clean and of a good standard. You could also eat breakfast outside in the lovely gardens. There was also room to park our car there which was great. The walk into town was around 10-15 minutes but very scenic with great views of Siena. I definitely recommend Villa Siena!

This is a private villa converted hotel, very cozy and personal. Located just outside the old town, which is perfect if you want to rest and enjoy some sleep time. The staff is really helpful and explained everything about the old town and recommended us a few great resturants, which turned out to be very good. The last day we were leaving, she also helped us book the next hotel we're staying since it's the weekend and the hotel gets busy and we don't speak Italian. That's really nice of her.

Great people run this beautiful hotel!

We stayed at this amazing hotel in May 2014 during our 25th wedding anniversary trip. The hotel is only a short taxi ride from the train station a \"little bit\" out of town but so worth the trip! We were able to walk everywhere from here in our excursions to downtown Siena. We had mentioned to the hotel that we were celebrating our 25th and when we got to the hospital clean room there was a bottle of champagne, fresh picked roses from their garden and some snacks as well - with a congratulations card too! The room was in the front of the hotel and the view was spectacular. And the staff? Fantastic! My husband had written to them ahead of time asking if there were any gluten free items available for the included breakfast and they went and purchased special muffins just for me! There were hard boiled eggs, meat, cheese and fruit as well. The grounds When we sadly had to leave after two days, the girl at the desk gave us excellent advice to take the bus to Rome because the train would have required us to change trains a couple of times and it would take much longer! We were able to walk to the bus station in only 10 minutes. Glad I had packed light :) All in all I would recommend this hotel highly - can't wait to go back someday!

After visiting Rome, Milan and Venice, it was good to relax in Siena at Hotel Elda. This graceful hotel is located in a lovely residential neighborhood, and while it feels far from crowds and traffic, it is just a short walk to restaurants, shops and the Campo. Our room was large, nicely furnished, and offered great views of the city. We loved laying in bed and listening to bells from several churches each morning. The welcoming patio is great for unwinding. Staff warmly welcomed us, suggested sights and restaurants, and arranged our tickets for a tour and concert. They could not have been more thoughtful or helpful.
