The room smelled like mold really bad and the breakfast was seriously lacking. We were put in the handicap room, and we are not handicap, so the the shower head was so low I basically had to do a back bend to rinse my hair. My flight was canceled the night we were supposed to get there so we paid for a night we werent even there. They were not reachable when we tried calling to inform them that we werent going to be able to check in the night we had planned. We called 20+ times hoping maybe we could get a refund for that first night, the phone was \"unavailabe\". Turns out the phone was put on some kind of setting, like do not disturb so no calls were going through....thankfully i prepaid so they couldnt give my room away.

I was checked into an already occupied room when i returned to the front desk to let them know they made me wait while they argued with the cleaning lady then hinted that I would have to wait till the room was clean I had to tell them either check me into a different room or give me a refund to which magically got me checked into a new clean room

Plus the bathroom was extra big and i liked not having the shower and the bathroom sink in same room, that made it nice cuz you didnt have to wait for the other person to get finished in the bathroom. The air conditioner in the hall was not working at all. It was so hot in the hallway. The air conditioner in the room did not work well. I had the air on 65 the entire night and I woke up in the middle of the night sweating. When I checked into the room, there were fries on the floor, burns, cuts and gum stuck to the desk chair. The room was not clean. I hope in the future this helps you all to do better. The breakfast was filled with low value things and uncooked bacon. If I didn’t have to stay for work I would have checked right back out.

We had planned on spending time in the hot tub. It was broken. After thinking about it, when we stayed here in October we heard the same thing, \"they were ordering the part\". Hot tub and pool the same temp. Two chances are all you get. We won't be back.

The property was fine. However, I was offered early check-out in the app as I completed the pre-check-in process. I declined it, but then changed my mind. When I arrived at the desk, the desk clerk was on the phone correcting a billing issue. Instead of politely greeting me, she pointed to a chair and told me to take a seat and wait. When she completed the call, she did say hello, and when asked if I could have early check-out she said it was not allowed. I did not dispute her statement.

The next day at check-out, I had a similar experience with the same young lady. As I approached the desk to check out, I was greeted by a maintenance lady who was sweeping the floor. The young lady was on the phone again addressing another billing issue. I stood there for a minute as she continued talking, but not acknowledging me. The woman who greeted me prompted her to assist me by stating to her that she had a customer to assist. The young woman hung up the phone, and I gave her the key card. I was attempting to share with her that early check-out was offered in the app, and they may want to change that, but she kept speaking over me. I paused to let her make her statement, and then shared the information with her. While the facilities were fine, the young desk clerk's demeanor was off-putting. I hope she just had two difficult days, and this is not her normal demeanor. However, I visit the area quarterly and generally stay overnight 1-3 nights; I would not stay here again.

Our stay started off ok. We had 2 rooms. One room had 4 people and the other room had 2 people. I had made a request for extra towels at the time of reservation. When we arrive each room on had a set of 3 towels. I was staying in the room of 4 so I asked the room of 2 if I could use one of their towels. When came time to check out the desk clerk wanted to charge me for a missing towel from the room of 2. I repetitively explained to the desk clerk that the room of 4 was short a set of towels and that we got the extra towel from the room of 2. I was given the run around about how the matter would be taken care of. I offered to unpack my belongings and show that I had not taken the towel. I was finally given my full deposit back in the hopes that the clerk honors his word by not charging my credit card after I leave for a missing towel. Honestly I believe the cleaning staff picked up all of the towels and didn’t count the towels the first time they cleaned the room. They would have noticed then that we had extra towels in the room of 4. Furthermore, the occupants of the room of 2 were constantly locked out of their room which resulted in them having to repetitively going to the front desk to have the key reprogrammed.

All in all the staff was very courteous and aside of the towel-gate and rekeying issues the stay was ok.

I decided to book a room at the Super 8 / Port Arthur after losing power in Houston. Check in wasn't an issue and I was in my room in no time. Plenty of restaurants within driving/walking distance. The only complaint with the property was that the walls were thin and other guest got a little loud after sundown.

The only problem was it was really noise I could rest well I saw a couple of roach in my room plus it smells a lot like mold in the rooms ,but I love the rooms and staff and convenient to my husband he locked up down there in port Arthur and the place where he is just 9 minutes away so I love to stay here to be close to him every 1 st weekend of the months I get to visit him

The front desk staff was amazing, they were very friendly. I was surprised to see that the hotel seemed a bit older. There were quite a few updates needed. The toilet seat needed to be replaced and remounted to the floor,and a few of the wall outlets did not work. The curtains were in shreds. But I will say again that the staff was very welcoming.

The hotel is situated very close to my intended location. Check in process and staff are friendly. However, the hotel interior is poorly maintained. As soon as we walked to the room, the pungent smell is very obvious and when we turned on the AC, the bad smell became stronger that we did not get the needed sleep and rest during our stay. My Asthma was triggered and I could not stop coughing. I hesitated to notify the front desk coz it was already late at night. Me and my husband endured the remaining hours through the night by wearing our masks. It was really a bad experience. I notified the front desk at checkout about the strong pungent smell I think is coming from the old unmauntained carpet or the air conditioning system. I can’t imagine families with kids staying in that room. I hope the management will promptly look into it and improve the facility for the health and well being of their customers.

Room key didn't work for the room multiple times, we were on the third floor and had to go back down to the front desk everytime to have it re-scanned. The elevator was very unclean, the roof panels had muck and some dead bugs and the floor was always wet. I was also never informed the pool was closed, nowhere did it say that wouldn't be available and ontop of it being one of the hottest summers ever mind you. The room was missing the A/C unit in the middle of the second day without any notice for cleaning while it was 107 Degrees outside. They didn't even bother to contact us to let us know it was happening. Had to stay in a musky and humid room for a while. When I called to complain they said they could refund only that day and they wanted us to vacate?? Ridiculous, never staying here again.

My guys COULD NOT CHECK IN due to construction and no electricity. I called on Tuesday evening until 9 pm and the line was either busy or they didn;'t pickup. I have called EXPEDIA three times today. I was on phone twice when the phone line would drop while talking to a person and they never called back. I am waiting on a third call to get my refund for the night we COULDN'T USE. But you have to wait hours either on phone or for someone to call me back. I need a REFUND

The room i had tub didnt stop up for my daughter to take a bath. The remote didnt turn tv off an had to press it over 20 times to turn it on. The carpet was stained. The floor they put me on seemed liked everyone on that floor smoke weed. After being there for 3 night i finally wanted to get in the pool which was close because the maintenance guy decided not to come to work an clean it. I was told to go to another hotel down the street an use they pool. All of this after paying $182 then having to stay another night an being charge $97 for 1 night. I will never ever stay there again in my life again. They charging your card over the booking amount an have you signed the booking charge. My booking price was $84 an was charge $94, my account dont lie so please pay with cash.

I'm a travel nurse that works 12 hour shifts and by the end of the day I'm both physically and mentally exhausted. Out of 4 different hotel chains in Port Arthur that I've stayed out during the past monrh this is by far the best. No all night parties that management can't control or children running in the hallways screaming and playing at midnight that parents can't control and the location was great. Less than a mile was the hospital where I work and I was able to walk next door to a Mexican restaurant that had awesome food. I've already booked my stay for the next month.

Photos are not of the hotel rooms you book. Rooms look clean and very nice on the website. Our room was awful. Marks of unknown ‘substance’ on the walls of the bathroom. Shower curtain rod near torn off the wall. Bath towels unraveling from being old and over used. Light over the vanity did not work. Elevator not working properly and with buttons/lights hanging from wires. Remote for tv had dead batteries, had to get more from clerk. Prepaid via PayPal through hotels.com. Clerk tried to get second payment for room, as she did not want to honor booking by hotels.com. Made to make a secondary ‘for your safety’ damage incidental with swipe of credit card, clerk wanted to refuse receipt showing no charge on card at the time. Finally printed receipt showing no charge. Clerk did not like being questioned as to why there was a swipe of credit card.

We chose this hotel for the extra large parking,because we were hauling a travel trailer. All the extra parking was full of conex boxes. We had to take up about 5 parking spots.
The room was not very clean or presentable. Carpet had multiple stains. Shower curtain appears to have been ripped from the wall and the repair was awful. Had a dehumidifier in the room which was strange and made me feel like they have dampness problems. The bed was comfortable, AC was cold, and the hotel was quiet. I don't think we will stay here again when in the area.

My stay was terrible. The phone did not work. The iron did not work. The blow dryer barely worked. There was an electrical short in the room, so it was hard to find an area to charge my phone. Housekeeping would come entirely too early. There was a random day where pest control banged on everyone's door to spray chemicals around the room without warning. WiFi was constantly going in and out. There was an entire day where the WiFi was down. I reported my issues serval times and nothing was done about it. Throughout my 5-day stay, my concerns were ignored and filled with empty promises. I also stutter and the staff was rude. They did not have the patience to understand me. With the world being so divisive, you would think there would better treatment and diversity training.
