Very good Inn

Nice friendly check in, room was lovely with a nice view to mallaig. Food was excellent and reasonably priced as was the wine and lager ( a pint for less than £4 😁). The staff at dinner and breakfast were nice and polite and done their job very well. Thank you to all the team who made our stay relaxing.

Staff not overly helpful

Staff was hidden behind desk far behind front check in. Barely knew they were there. We arrived on foot and asked about local things to do. Staff not helpful. No offers of tour info, where to go using a cab, overall not super friendly. Views were amazing. Room was very nice and roomy.

A super little hotel

Wow, this is a little gem of a hotel. Our room was spacious, recently renovated, very clean and comfortable. The hotel has a very relaxed, friendly atmosphere. A special shout out to the duty manager and the barman who were doing a great job despite the hotel being understaffed. The standard of food was also impressive both at dinner and breakfast. Really wished I had booked a longer stay.

Comfortable room with great views

Small, traditional inn a quiet rural setting with fantastic views of the coast. Room was well-appointed and bed was comfortable. Service was friendly, attentive and efficient. Food was delicious. Quite an expensive place to stay although very enjoyable.

Great stay in a beautiful location

Lovely clean big room overlooking the forest. Very comfortable. Ate good meals in the restaurant at night which is dog friendly. Great breakfast choices. We were so busy driving round seeing Skye we didn't hang round much but it was a great base in the south of the island.

Lovely pleasant stay

The Inn is situated right by the sea and has a lovely view. The room with an en-suite was clean. Furniture is slightly older but comfortable.
There is a bar and a restaurant on the site with very delicious food and the staff is friendly and very helpful. It was a really pleasant stay and I would recommend it.

Just about a mile from from Armadale ferry point the hotel is well situated for exploring south Skye . The hotel has lovely views and plenty of parking .
The rooms were clean and decoratively were ok but with ugly orange pine furniture . Would be better with one decent chest of drawers and no large dressing table . Bathroom was good . First impressions on walking into reception let the place down as it’s bland and without any warmth or style . We had a good stay and the staff were friendly and helpful and the food was ok. I think overall the place lacked finishing touches . A room for guests with comfy sofas would be welcome . It felt a bit basic for the price.

Loved staying here! Was really close to the ferry from Mallaig, which was really convenient. There were also lots of nature trails nearby, plus the bar/restaurant downstairs was great!

Superb staff!

The staff was lovely and the food was great. The bed was a bit hard. The water faucet had air bubbles that caused it to spurt. Overall, I would highly recommend it.

The staff go out of their way to help you! I arrived with a hurt ankle and the gentleman was quick to relieve me of my luggage. They didn’t realize it was a honeymoon couple and they were swift and happy to put our beds together and get us new bigger linens. The included breakfast was amazing! And the view!!!!! Wow! I highly recommend this lovely place for a stay! They didn’t even bat an eye at us arriving covered in sweat, sand, and midge bits from our hike we stopped for on our way there!!! I can’t praise them enough!

Nice Hotel spoilt by poor service and attitude

Overall the hotel presents very well. We had a \"superior\" room with a sea view which was clean and newly decorated. BUT.... on our first night we waited nearly an hour before the main course arrived - except we had not had our starters. This resulted in another delay, and, I suspect, reheated main courses. \"Sorry we have had issues in the kitchen tonight\". First Breakfast - excellent. Second, well, they had not planned for the large group who left the supplies severely depleted. Our cooked breakfast took 20minutes to arrive. That night. having decide it just might be better to eat elsewhere we arrived back late. Room nicely prepared - curtains drawn and iights on. Then we checked the bathroom. The single and very near finished loo roll had gone and no replacement. No staff around either. So we left a note the next morning and two were in place when we returned - again late having decided again to dine elsewhere. Thus time however, the bed was not fully restored. Dress cushions and one pillow on the floor where we had left them that morning. Breakfast 3 firne - no large group and several empty tables. After that we checked out and on being asked we told the manager of our experience. \"Sorry\" I'll take that up with housekeeping. He reminded me I had pre-paid then proceeded to blame the rise of Air BnB for his staffing issues. Needless to say we left, rather disappointed in this element of our short trip to Skye.

A great little place off the beaten path. Good for walking and seeing this part of Skye. Nice touch was the gentleman at reception escorting us to our room and carrying my wife’s suitcase.

A very comfortable one night stay at this friendly Inn. We ate both dinner and a complimentary breakfast and both were exceptionally good. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Situated only about 700 metres from the ferry terminal. Some nice local walks nearby. Excellent!

Lovely clean hotel. An absolute pleasure that our dog was welcome in the hotel and this also limits your choice if travelling with a dog.
Any down side? Not really, other than a little pricey, but as noted, choice limted!
Would I come again? Yes.

We booked a Luxury Suite room No 1 for £175 a night with breakfast but the room was not up to standard. We did have a separate sitting area with chairs and a tv but the furniture was old, worn and stained. The bed was 2 single beds put together not a proper kingsize bed. The bathroom was small and cramped with no complimentary bathrobes or slippers and the shower was too high and non movable and you had to stand on the bath plug so the bath filled up with water. We could not find the wardrobe until I asked the staff in the morning which was a cupboard with a duvet in a plastic bag on the floor. We have stayed in much more luxury rooms for far less money.
