Stunning location with a private pebbled beach, the hotel was beautiful huge rooms gorgeous decor throughout, the staff kept the log fires going all day to add to the cosy Scottish charm. Plenty of sofas to curl up on with a drink. The staff were exceptional, Vish on reception, Micheal in the bar and all the other staff couldn’t do enough for you and made my birthday a truely special day.

This was an excellent place to stay but expensive. But worth it as a treat. But the old saying you get what you pay for is certainly applies to this place! The front desk was unbelievable. They took your bags upstairs for you. They catered to every whim. I would definitely recommend this place. The food was excellent.

Don’t give them visa it’s a trick to get more $$

Booked on hotel.com paid for room then had to pay double the price the next day. They said that my charges were going to be fore extra breakfast cause it only stated one person on the app. That was 15$ per person for breakfast which I agreed to. Then the next morning they charged me 460$ more. I only paid 360$ for the room. They had my visa cause they tricked me the night before to get it.

The property and staff were great, but for the price i expected more, dinner menu limited and very small portions, £5 added to.bill for cheeseboard of which, cheese was very standard. Fresh milk for tea and coffee in the rooms would have been nice. Noise was actually annoying, we could hear people snoring next door and doors slamming at all hours. Hotel of this price i expected more.

Duisdale hotel is a small boutique establishment. Each room has its own personality. Lovely chandeliers, very nice canopy bed in one of our three rooms. Service seemed stretched a bit thin, but staff was pleasant. Property had excellent water view!

Our most expensive night in Scotland was a disappointment. Room was nicely decorated & bedding was comfy. View would have been nice on clear day. Bathroom decor was hideous. Large black & white & red stacked tile- cold & jarring. The woman on staff was very pleasant & helpful. We had dinner here & wait staff was barely attentive. They were not rude just not the level of service we expect from a nice restaurant. Food was good but not particularly memorable.

The only reasons I couldn’t give this property 5 stars is due to the spiders in the rooms, and the prices vs quality of the food served in the restaurant downstairs. It’s, by far, one of the most spectacular house hotels we’ve ever stayed at in terms of beauty, comfort, and location. But when you wake up to find a squashed spider on your pillow (which you likely accidentally killed in your sleep -yes there was bug juice on the pillow too), it makes you question a few things. I told the nice blonde girl that works at the front desk and she had someone turn over our room right away. Did I sleep with one eye open that night anyway? I did :( Anyway, I think that a bit of fumigation tactics will clean the place right up. We also paid for breakfast to be included in our nightly rate, but wound up getting charged 5 quid for a coffee.

We experienced a few disappointments during our stay. Firstly, we had booked a bar (chart room) dinner for a smaller, more casual dining experience, but we were informed that dinners were only served in a more formal 2 or 3-course setting. Additionally, we were surprised to find that our Ocean View room had a very small bathroom, which was not as depicted on the website. However, the most disappointing aspect was that more than half of the guests were ill and were allowed to sit and cough while we ate our meals. We felt that the unwell guests should have been asked to dine in their rooms in order to not expose others to their illness.

We had a really lovely room, spacious, warm, together with a large modern bathroom.
We ate a.meal the first night, it was okay but not wonderful. Very poor vegetables and expensive at a set price £38.00 each. Add on expensive wine, a very ordinary one.
The bar was nice with a fire, but again prices in the bar on the high side
Overall ,the accomodation and breakfasts were good, but the dinner could be improved. The staff were helpful and pleasant, and the setting around the hotel lovely.

Staff were friendly (but I also heard them say “Yuck” to an Indian gentleman who wanted warm water with his whiskey - not sure when this became acceptable?). It was extremely overpriced for the room!!! We have stayed in nicer places for half the price. The service at the restaurant was in disarray. We asked for more bread after been given one slice each, and they replied that they weren't sure if they could. Our waiter didn't know much at all about the menu and struggled to explain it.

Excellent boutique hotel! Fantastic restaurant, cozy bar, lovely grounds, professional and kind staff. Our room was spacious, beautifully decorated, with a small view of the water. Modern bathroom. No elevator but staff will help with luggage. A great breakfast in their dining room is included. They should swap out small complimentary toiletries for more eco-friendly supplies, but nothing would stop us from staying there again or highly recommending it. We’d like to live there ;-)

Only minor quibbles would be with the positioning of the blind in our bedroom (#16), which sat too far from the window to block out any light, so had to improvise. Winter take cozy pyjamas as heating goes off and no way of putting it on in the room. Was noisy with other guest partying as walls not thick. The only thing I would have appreciated if the staff had warned us about the midges we would have kept the windows shut at night we got bitten quite badly. Friendly welcome on arrival. Went to room. Room not as clean as could be.
Did not sleep night one as mattress was old and uncomfortable. Complained to reception who moved rooms for second night. Given we complained about cleanliness the second room had the pledge left on bed so not checked. Mattress in this room marginally better.
Had dinner in the restaurant. Service poor. Apparently owner was in that night which we noted as one table seemed to be getting all the attention.
Did complain about service which resulted in a reduction of the food bill.
Overall ok but nothing special for the money.

What a wonderful stay we had at Duisdale House Hotel! It's a lovely wee gem in the beautiful south of Skye. I've stayed in a great number of hotels around the world and this one was a truly memorable experience in the most positive way! The staff provide an excellent level of service and attention to detail. We felt so welcome during our stay. Laura deserves special praise for the high standard of service she and her team gave us. We also wanted to praise Karol for his excellent service. He is so polite, kind and welcoming. The evening food was absolutely scrumptious! I'm not sure we've ever had a better breakfast - big congratulations to the hotel on their chef(s)! Very impressive cuisine to say the least! A fabulous place to have a relaxing stay in a romantic setting surrounded by luscious greenery and a lovely wee beach across the road. We're already dreaming of our next visit. Thank you to the whole team!

On arrival we were treated to a glass of fizz as the hotel had just opened back up and the staff were very nice to accommodate me and my wife. I am a fussy eater the staff done great to accommodate me with something i could eat. The hotel is also situated in lovely location as the view front the front faces out onto the sea. We booked Duisdale Hotel rather late, as our ferry got cancelled due to gale force winds ... what a lucky turn of events! Our room had an amazing sea view, staff were so friendly and accommodating, dinner was absolutely delicious, and we had a wonderful night's sleep in our comfy four-poster bed. After an amazing drive around a stormy, rain-beaten Skye, Duisdale was a great place to unwind and recharge.
