The hotel is well maintained and clean. The included breakfast was fantastic and the view from the restaurant was lovely. A great place to stay with easy access to Isle of Skye and the local restaurants and shops. The room was well presented and the bathroom with bath is fresh and recently renovated. The gentleman who I believe is the owner was very friendly and accommodating.

Plenty of parking. Rooms are decent size. All 4 of our group found the beds far too soft and had back ache the next day as a result. Hotel lobby didn't smell particularly pleasant on arrival but rooms were ok. Breakfast was good.

Great inn conveniently located within driving distance of the town supermarket and dining areas. Friendly staff. Nice common areas which included an outdoor gazebo overlooking the water from which you could see amazing sunsets. Also a nice lounge/living room area with plenty of board games and books and a large kitchen. Terrific breakfast buffet.

Rooms were comfortable and quiet and spacious. Recommend.

We absolutely loved it here! We were warmly greeted and quickly shown to our rooms. A quick trip up the stairs later we were greeted to a very comfortable room.

This is a delightful place to stay if you are interested in exploring the isle of Skye. It's a little bit more of a drive than staying on island, but it's more comfortable. The town of Portree feels busy and cramped, and some of the places on Skye are way out of the way.

This location was perfect!

It can be tricky for get dinner - most places need a reservation or they'll turn you away (even if there are many empty tables to be seen). However, this place is really close to an amazing fish and chip shop (Siaway). Their burgers are delightful as well. There's also a closeby pub we grabbed food from and a co-op store within 5-10 minutes drive.

The place itself is beautiful, warm, and welcoming.
The parking is easy to get into, safe, and plentiful.
The breakfast might have been one of my favourite breakfasts of the trip.
The two hosts we interacted with on our stay were really friendly and helpful. They had a map that helped us on our travels around Skye and really good tips.

I hope I can return here one day. I loved it so much!!

Very nice hotel adjacent to a small bay with beautiful views. Attentive staff, comfortable room, good hearty Scottish breakfast. Be aware that the hotel is not staffed (and therefor closed) between 11am - 4pm and the common area (which is very nice - large and comfy) isn’t available during that time.

This was a great place to stay. Breakfast was excellent, there's a large living room/ lounge area to relax in, rooms were a good size. The owner was very helpful, gave us excellent travel and sightseeing advice. The view from our room was stunning. We could watch the lambs running around in the yard next door.
The only thing lacking would be a shelf in the bathroom to put toiletries on in the morning.

A wonderful small hotel. The buffet breakfast was outstanding, the hot buffet being of extremely high quality. The location is delightful with a stunning view from the dining room. Staff were very friendly too. Room was clean and comfortable with windows that actually opened if you wanted. The only minor criticism is that the bed mattress topper was clearly memory foam and remembered the shape of previous guests with a far more sizeable backside than mine. Still would give this hotel 10/10 and look forward to returning sometime.

While our room was clean and nice, like a boutique hotel room, the main guest area is where we hung out when at the hotel. It is really a standout, the pictures don’t quite do it justice.

However, the staff is what makes this place exceptional. We were here during a bad storm, and the area lost power. We were stressed a bit, but the staff just made us feel taken care of and safe.

If you want to visit the Isle of Skye, and you know what that entails, this hotel is an easy pick.

This lovely remote B&B was located on a scenic hilltop in Kyle of Lochalsh, which is just on the other side of the bridge to Skye. Be advised it can be difficult finding restaurants that are open for dinner at the end of September in this area. Pre-booking is advised. This establishment has a lovely large lounge and dining area that can be used to eat carried-out food and serves a full hot breakfast including eggs & sausage. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Room is clean and cozy with a nice soft mattress and a bathtub for soaking weary muscles.

I would have loved to have given 5 stars, and would have except for one thing that desperately needs to be addressed, the mattress! The mattress on the bed felt and sounded at least 25 years old or more, resulting in a terrible nights sleep. Management, please invest in new a new mattress!

Such a cute and cozy place to stay with great views. We stayed 2 nights here. The rooms we had were 2 twin beds. I needed 2 rooms. My only complaint was the smell. I'm not sure if it was a scent or mustiness but I was very sensitive to it.

Breakfast was ok. It was packaged croissants, cereal and yoghurt and a bowl of fresh fruit. There was not a lot of options for those of us that are gluten and dairy sensitive. Coffee was also a drip so no options for lattes with non dairy milk.

The host was sweet and would ask our plans and give advice on the local attractions. The skye bridge is a mere 10 minutes away but it's a good hour drive to Portree.

Andy and Richard couldn’t have been any more helpful than they were. We were greeted with warmth. My mum and I felt we were treated like VIPs (even though I hate that term 😆). We had the best table at breakfast. Stunning views.
If we’re ever in that area again and looking for a hotel we’d definitely return.

We've just returned from a wonderful, if rather wet at times, visit to Scotland. We stayed at various accommodation on our travels. The stay at Tingle Creek was among the best. The rooms were a reasonable size, the facilities in the room were excellent, it was comfortable, clean and well equipped, We thought the location was great, so peaceful.
