I’ve never stayed in a hotel before where are you didn’t get a key we got told we would get the key in a couple of hours and every time we went out we had to ask for the door to be open never would stay here again

The bed was amazing and comfortable, Great Location and view, but in need of a major update. You can see it’s age creeping up on the hotel. Was ok for the price. Wouldn’t stay again for that price point.

A hairy experience!

Booked two rooms for the weekend and on arrival into my room could not understand the 4* rating. A basic 3* at best. Tv only about 5 channels. Bathroom very dated. The following night my daughter arrived with her mother and hotel could not find reservation having verbally confirmed when I arrived the day before but after a few minutes a room became available. On entering their room and the bathroom they were greeted with the image below on the shower wall! Did not eat at the hotel but a good Chinese buffet a few door down!

It was hot and with no AC in the room, it was difficult to sleep. Room was very small and my room was towards the street. Opening the window to cool down the room was not practical.

I always love staying at this hotel. Staff are lovely and lovely bedrooms and the best beds. The only thing i dislike is the cleaner coming in at 8.30am when checkout is 12pm. Unless you leave the do not disturb notice out.

Generally a very nice, quiet hotel within walking distance of local amenities.

The room was clean and staff were friendly, BUT we were put in a room with a city view which was nice to see, unfortunately the main road was directly in front of the hotel aswell, the traffic was constantly busy all night and we did'nt get a wink of sleep! we were very dissapointed because we had to be up very early next morning to catch a coach to go to London for the weekend and needless to say we were very tired and it spoiled our day, we did tell the person on reception the next morning and they just said they were sorry, I dont think i'll be using that hotel again but if you're a heavy sleeper and can sleep through heavy traffic all night then I would recommend but if you value your sleep try to make sure you get a room not facing the main road.

The hotel is in a great location. The size of the room for a standard double was good and the bath with shower was a good size. Only downsides were the shower didn’t have much power, the radiators rattled when warming up so was a little hard to get to sleep and it would have helped greatly if there was somewhere to store luggage after check out so I didn’t have to carry it around with me all day - other hotels do offer this service, if The Bradford did then it wasn’t clearly sign posted. I didn’t have the breakfast but my partner did and they said it was worth the money.

Brilliant stay again

I have been coming to the bradford a few times now as i find the staff are lovely, friendly, rooms are lovely up to very good standard and its fairly quiet and local to centre and travel. I absolitely love the pillows as i have to be propped up due to health problem. So comfy.
This time round there was a little problem with the tv remote but overall brilliant stay again. Il be back again

Hotel staff are always friendly and helpful.
During my 4 night stay one of the two lifts was out of order which would have caused problems had the hotel had more guests. Breakfast were O.K. but nothing special and sometimes not as hot as I would have liked. On Monday morning they would have better to cook to order as there so few guests.

It is 2 star dated hotel,

The rooms and bathroom are small and dated. My friend is 6ft 3in tall and his head was touching the ceiling when he went in the shower.

Decoration in the room was dated and carpet was stained in some places..

The recommended carpark was not safe, 19 cars was broken into the night before I arrive

The heating in the room did not work..

The room was so bad, I paid for two nights but stayed only for one...

I booked this based upon good feedback scores, so I was extremely disappointed with pretty much everything during my stay. Until they have completed the refurbishment I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, and even then it wouldn’t be anywhere near my first choice. This sounds harsh but this is a question of value. My 2 night stay was not cheap and not good value

Got there just after 3pm.. reception wasn’t sure if room was ready so waited whilst they checked. Didn’t wait too long. When we got to room and I opened drawers to put my stuff away and the drawer was full of rubbish - called reception and this was resolved quickly. Later in the evening, wanted to have a nice soak in bath and there was no hot water! Shower was okay but they must not like guests having a bath?! However location was ideal for our requirements and price was decent.

It was okay. Just basic.

It’s honestly good for a night or two.... there’s a sort of old fashioned feel to it which is nice but the bathroom could be better, it was clearly well-used and had possibly rust(?) in the tub. Also I don’t know if it was just the room I was assigned to but the lights had this horrendous buzzing sound, then flickered before it actually turned on.

Nice hotel, quick check in and friendly staff. Room very clean and good amenities.. location very convenient for train station and shopping centre. The only downfall was the breakfast.. had to ask for juice to be brought out as it had run out, had to wait 10 mins for sausage and another 20 minutes for bacon to be brought out after asking about 4 times, only when it came it was awful - the whole breakfast!! . I’d stay at the hotel again but I’ll be skipping breakfast.

Everything was great, comfortable and nice, with a perfect checkout time at 12pm. Little issue however, we didn't put out the 'do not disturb' sign. From around 9am til 11am the house keeper came knocking 3 times! It was Sunday morning! Other than that. Everything was spot on. Cannot fault anything. Will definitely stay again

perfect theatre city break

lovely hotel perfect fro the alhambra theatre and other bradford venues we had a city view room and it was a fab view of the city hall with its multi coloured lit clock tower and big wheel staff were very friendly and professional and we had a great stay nice late noon checkout so time to chill.. ncp car park attached with discounted parking just ask at reception we would stay here again and more than happy to recommend great value too

The room wasn't very clean; the wardrobe was very dusty. Hair dryer didn't work and the shower was broken which would flood the toilet on any attempt to shower.
A lot of noise and banging from building work being carried out within the hotel.
Very disappointed.

Adequate, dated city centre hotel - no frills

A reasonably priced city centre hotel with absolutely no frills. It’s showing it’s age in all aspects of the building, decoration, amenities and facilities. Minimum staff on duty. Breakfast buffet is okay but only one member of staff on the floor struggling to keep up with teas and coffees. This hotel is s cash cow for its owners, but some of that needs to be ploughed back in for a refurb and improvement. That said, it was clean and adequate.

They made sure that I had an enjoyable stay.
I liked that the Breakfast was served for 4 hours(7am till 11am on a Sunday Morning) so I could have longer in bed & was not rushing about to make sure I made it down for breakfast.

I got the room last minute at half price and had reservations in advance, but was very pleased with my 1 night stay. Room was fully equipped, everything worked, it was quiet, clean and comfortable, and the view (across to the Town Hall) was fantastic. I didn't use the bar or restaurant so cannot comment on those aspects.

Though it is true to say that the rooms are ready for a make-over, this hotel gave us a very pleasant stay and therefore we shall be returning to The Bradford on our next visit to its namesake city! Great central location (noise outside can be heard, though all died down after 10,45pm) and, in addition, a simply excellent reception team who came up to our room and fixed our key card at lightning speed and happily gave us extra milk at 10,30pm! A comfortable bed and room gave my husband and I a very restful night's sleep - our twelve year old absolutely loved her adjoining room with sofa bed and large tv!!!!

Adequate hotel in centre of Bradford

First night bed uncomfortable and creaked when one moved. Spoke to reception in morning and were moved with no fuss.
Poor lighting in bedroom otherwise very nice.
Breakfast was good, plenty of choices.
Staff excellent.
Decor a little tired, pictures uninspiring.
Parking next door, hotel have a discount arrangement with car park, nice surprise.
Double glazing so traffic noise no worse than a strong wind.

Ideal location - Pleasant staff and friendly service. Disadvantage is no car park although there is a NCP car park next door which despite the discount given to guests by the hotel can be expensive if staying for a few nights.On the Saturday of my stay a coach party arrived which meant that the dining room at breakfast time on Sunday was very busy with not enough staff to cope.
Apart from this I was very happy with my stay.

Good value and good location. Had to raise the issue that a suite should have bathrobes. Ten minutes later a cleaner bought two to our room. They don't seem to want to issue them anymore.
Suite has a dining table which is superfluous, the low floor also made it very noisy. You do get a discount of food and drink though.

cant really say based on one night but my overall it was a pleasant experience. Got a lovely room due to their being no double beds with extra facilities.
better than any hotel been in before but the only thing i disliked was the shower wasnt working. it was a shower/jacuzzi and taps joined but it wouldnt go through showerhead and being disabled i struggled with a bath.
I cant comment on breakfast as was ill to go down for breakfast.

Not impressed will not stay again. Breakfast awful! Dining room empty except when we needed to eat dinner there, every table taken with a tour! So when there is a tour there is no room! One lift didn't work other, took ages, we and others ended up using the stairs. Even staff member said staff lift didn't work! Why don't you fix it? Carpet in room was dirty!
