We were there a little bit early and someone working there let us in, which we really appreciated. The room was tiny, nowhere to put our suitcase even, and the bathroom door did not close. The location was good and it served it's purpose for a one night stay.

We stayed in the garden suite and had a lovely stay for 2 nights. The room was spacious, the mattress was comfortable and the water pressure was great. The provided breakfast was minimal, but was a nice touch.

We found the price a bit high for what we got (although, the price was far more reasonable compared to many hotels on the Isle of Skye) and the location was a bit far and remote, so we had to do additional driving to get to sites/restaurants, etc.

Book this property early, rooms go very quick. I received all my information on how to access the property and my room number, on the day of arrival. The property is very cute and the room was neat and clean. There was enough towels and amenities. The staff are very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely book with the Isle of Skye Guest House when I return to Scotland.

The garden and area were super convenient and beautiful. Our room was perfect for the one night it stay but the bed was pretty bad. High on one side, low on the other. Like some of the springs were broken. The walls are very thin but we didn’t have any issues with noise. Everything was very clean and we didn’t meet any staff to ask about breakfast but we met some nice people in the common area that helped us out. Breakfast was a great spread.

This property is a very expensive disappointment. We woke up on our last morning with no heat, no hot water and no staff to contact until 10am after the check out time. Breakfast is cereal boxes and a few loaves of bread on table in a common room. The windows in our ground floor room did not lock on their own so also a safety risk for belongings and guests. We booked as a last resort and paid a lot to stay here. Please don't do the same.

Clean and good beds otherwise it was a disappointment. Shabby work and upkeep, cut corners wherever they could. Eating tables knee high so you bend over for your dry food. The continental breakfast was embarrassing. All dry cereal, no fruit, no rolls, no juices. Just tiny yogurt or milk and instant cereals. Even the coffee was instant. There are so many better places at better prices. They are wringing every cent out of this investment and not concerned for the guests. Sorry to be so direct but that’s what we felt after staying in a dozen other places.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. Staff is friendly and helpful. All the doors in the building squeak on their hinges and could benefit from some oil. Carpet in the hallway would also be good to quiet the feet going up and down the hall. There was a crack in the bathroom flooring that I thought might cut someone’s foot. There was work being done on the roof while we were there so perhaps there are other renovations being planned.

Stayed here with my husband and 2 kids (5 and under). The room was spacious and clean. Parking was convenient. Breakfast had minimal items which was in line with expectations from past reviews (milk, cereal, porridge, bread, jam, coffee). My only issue was the shower, the way it is heated doesn't provide flexibility to get the temperature correct (3 settings of cold, luke warm, burning hot). We only stayed one night so it was fine.

Parkimg was easy enough as we had arrived not long after check in. We had to call to get the door codes as the email wasnt sent as it was ment to. We had a family room which had a seperate area with the 2 singles beds which was nice to have a little kid free time once they were asleep. One of the single beds was broken on arrival so I called duty manager who didnt answer but sent a text and someone was up within a few minutes and sorted it quickly with a new bed base. There were areas if the room that could have benefited from a dust but the beds were clean and the shower had more ompf than ours at home

Rooms need to TLC toilet in room 3 completely sinks of Ceptic waste and needs to look at the heating as radiators keep making terrible noises which keep you awake. Stayed with family for 3 nights. We loved this place. Ample parking spaces. Restaurant and grocery stores nearby. Breakfast lounge was stocked with cereal, milk, utensils etc. Only suggestion I'd give would be to replace the cutleries twice a day instead of once. Since people do bring takeaway food and eat in the lounge during the evenings, the cutleries get used up a lot and very few is left out for when we go for breakfast in the mornings. This is probably why there were reviews that used dishes were still on the food trolley.

The inn itself is really cute, it's located a little far from the main towns on Isle of Skye, so the name is a tad misleading. The surrounding area is beautiful. The rooms are a little old, need some updating. The bed was so uncomfortable we could not sleep either night that we stayed here. The window has no mesh on it so if left open let in a lot of bugs, but the room was so hot otherwise even with the radiator off. Bathroom amenities were okay, the included 2in1 shampoo condition is really not my favorite. The guest lounge was nice .

This is a self-check-in hotel. We never met any staff, and never saw any staff. There is nothing at the hotel so you need to walk or drive to get food and drinks. The continental breakfast (included) was the worst I have ever seen. Almost nothing there, not even fresh coffee (only instant). Not even coffee cups! I believe they expected you to bring your coffee cup down from your room! A few boxes of cereal, only one type of pre-packaged yogurt in the fridge (toffee) and no staff to be seen. It was more like a youth hostel. We left and drove to a nearby coffee shop.

We enjoyed our stay in #10- the quad family room. It was clean, spacious and comfortable. The shower was lovely- the temperature control that made sense! A refrigerator is always a plus for us as a family member is diabetic and we need to store insulin. The breakfast is basic but the instant oatmeal gave us a fair start to the day.

What a horrible experience. Large room and really hot water only good points. Furniture from the 1950s and should have been discarded decades ago. One of the worst mattresses ever slept on. Should have been thrown away decades ago as well. Breakfast virtually nonexistent - yogurt and cereal pretty much it. Not much for $295 a night. Don’t stay here, please.

The Isle of Skye Guest House was a decent, fairly convenient spot for seeing some of the sites on the Isle of Skye. Rooms were basic and small. The self check-in was easy, but this place somehow lacks a feeling of welcome. The lobby, sitting room and large dining room with big windows to the lawn and trees looked interesting, and have a lot of potential as lively meeting places. But they were huge, cold, and sterile, crowded with chairs, not encouraging guests to engage with each other. We did enjoy the music selection in the speaker that was always playing.
The free breakfast was a stack of cold cereal boxes and a small fridge with milk and yogurt. There was one hot pot for boiling water for the instant coffee, tea and hot chocolate, and it always seemed to be empty. On our first morning we were disappointed the coffee/water was out, and there was no one to ask about it. I called the phone number provided and was told I had to add water to the pot. I asked exactly where I was supposed to find the sink, should I bring the pot to our room and fill it in the bathroom? The woman said to look under the table (which was covered by a long cloth) for bottles of water, and I should boil the water for everyone. Really?! At the least, there should be a note to tell guests where to find the water to fill the pot.

Garbage bin outside building was overflowing when we arrived, was still the same 2 days later when we left. In the guest lounge/dining area they have a sign that says breakfast is 6AM to 10AM, but it is just cereal, cereal bars and a fridge with milk and yogurt that is available all day. The sign almost implied that something else would be available during the breakfast hours, but there isn't. There is a toaster in the breakfast area, but no bread or anything available to toast. For the price paid, would have expected more.

Just off the roundabout over the Skye bridge this is a fantastic base for travelling around Isle of Skye. We had a twin bed garden room which is situated around the side and to the rear of the main house, this would have been helpful to know in the welcome email giving you the access code and room number as would have saved time trying to locate our room in the main house. In the main house is a communal lounge and breakfast room offering complimentary cereal boxes, porridge pots, cereal bars and yogurts which can also be taken to your room to be consumed.
In our room we overlooked a roughly grassed playing area for kids to play football, with nets provided, but saw a deer with her 2 offspring playing around whilst mum was eating berries from the hedgerow.
Another plus was the available parking both to the main house and garden rooms

It was terrible the lift was broken, the floor in the room was disgusting!!! The paint was peeling off the walls mold and the toilet didn’t flush, I have had bigger bathrooms on cruise ships. There was no where to park, and the people at the front had no idea what they were doing!

This was by far the worst accommodations of our entire trip, and quite possibly ever. The room was extremely outdated and rough, in exception to the bathroom. There were 4 twin beds for 3 adults in one room, the windows had no screens and wouldn’t stay open without placing a coffee cup to hold open. The room was incredibly hot-we couldn’t figure out how to turn off the heat. There were barely enough outlets and inconvenient to the bed situation once we pushed two twins together so my partner and I could sleep together. The windows were literally next to the parking lot. This was the most expensive room on our 10 day trip and was far below our expectations. If someone had been available when we left, I would have asked for a refund. It felt like a hostel. Zero star rating.

The hotel is right off the Sky Bridge and located about a hour away from most hiking and exploring. This is great if you don’t mind driving, but left limited restaurant options.
