Bring your own toiletries. Dispenser for body wash is meh. Only dispenser hand soap, body wash, and shampoo provided. No lid on toilet, ew and I dropped a lid in it. Other than that, it was clean, reasonably priced, and convenient to where I needed to be.

Paint everywhere. I’m not sure if I was just having a rough day but when another guest said and I quote ahhh that’s the cheap paint , I’ve been painting for 30 years lol. They are constantly doing construction on the property and the same floor my family is on. It’s the closest hotel to my children’s school so I make it do I guess 😴

Worst experience at a hotel ever. My better half and I along with our children stay at a homeless shelter. I, myself have been working in the business for almost a decade. My wife was laying down alongside me and my 2 year old daughter. I had just came back from dropping my 3 eldest children to school. While my mom life was laying down fully naked legs toward the door, a male staff member opened the door unannounced and just stood there. I couldn’t get the managers name nor staff members name who entered unannounced. We called police first and foremost and after a hour they pulled up and really didn’t do a thing. We have to go to the precinct and do the whole 9 yards of you will tomorrow. Mind you, the hotel refunded me the money as soon as I mentioned police because they know they were in the wrong. What made matters worse is the neighborhood is located in a place where police didn’t show up until almost a hour later. At this point I don’t care about the money, my wife is traumatized and we are regulars at that specific location. They don’t care about Brooklyn or anyone that is AMERICAN. It’s to attract tourist who don’t know any better. Secondly the way they conduct business is just almost child like. To a degree. No management would step up and I felt bad for the staff that’s just following orders but this is the last time I stay here and I suggest you fix the hotel before placing patrons on the same floor as construction workers and painters.

Clean room, nice staff, good wifi and a/c worked well too. Overall the hotel was great, just what we needed and were very accommodating with our large dog. No fridge though.

The only issue was the area was not convenient. The closest subway stations to the hotel were closed during the weekend so getting into manhattan was a pain. It was difficult to take our dog out since there was also a lot of broken glass on the sidewalks and not many grass areas. I would suggest staying closer to a dog park or park if you're looking to bring your dog.

We had a very good experience at Bklyn House. The hotel was clean and the location is very accessible. The staff was incredibly helpful and attentive. We had a small issue with the shower (no hot water) in our first room, but they handled it immediately by moving us to a different room. I really appreciated how quickly they solved the problem. I would definitely stay here again!

The room was clean but missing a mini fridge and microwave. The listing stated a microwave could be brought upon request but we were told no, use the communal ones in the bottom floor. The hotel wasn’t sure which rooms had mini fridges so they went searching through vacant rooms for one for us. Neither would be a big problem if we weren’t traveling with a baby and breast milk that needed to be kept cold. There were no cribs or pack and plays available either. Most of our neighbors were very noisy late into the night and slamming doors. Overall it’s an okay stay if you need the bare minimum.

I cleaned the room upon arrival. There was hair everywhere. The ac made noise the whole time. Night staff (dark skinned guy)didn't know how to direct me to grocery store. Not family friendly. No fridge in room or microwave. No bags on garbage cans. They never came to clean it room. We stayed from out of town several days due to death in family.Microwave is all the way downstairs and fridge you can use their but that isn't practical. You have to go up and down constantly.

When I first arrived they had no way of finding my reservation, even when I called the reservation department they said they could see I had a reservation but I had no way to check in at the lobby and they told me they didn't know what to do outside of charge me again because of computer issues and I would be refunded. I'm still trying to get my money back. The front desk staff sometimes are quite rude depending on who you're talking to, and generally seem to have no idea what to do or how to help because their computers seem to be constantly down. In the room the walls are very thin so it was pretty easy to hear a big fight happening next door.

The rooms were spacious for the area and well designed, it had a lovely large desk with drawers for clothes, and room under the bed for luggage. The free coffee bar and eating area were great for not having to get crumbs all in my room and stay energized in the city. Plan on staying here next time we are here!

It's pretty darn good for the price. I got very lucky and found some close, on street parking. Personally, that was my biggest concern. Every side of the street has very specific parking info and fire hydrants are black, so just look for that. The room was basic and adequate. As others have said, there is no micro or fridge in the room. I brought a cooler and don't bring stuff for a micro. There is access to microwaves in the downstairs common area where tea and coffee are served. I went for coffee late Saturday morning and there was no milk or creamer to be found, so I didn't have a taste. I appreciate the effort, but would love some powdered creamer or something as an option.

As others have said, there is no full size mirror in the rooms for fit checks, do the best you can in the bathroom. And in our case, I brought a hair dryer as I read there isn't one in the room, and the outlets in the bathroom didn't work. So I did my best. Also, there is no lid on the toilet. But again, for the price and location, these things are minor. The beds are comfy, the heat worked great, people were quiet, and it's on the list of places to stay when we go back.

Called housekeeping/front desk multiple times to fix it, finally had to go down to thebfront desk after waiting an hour when they said they'd be right up.

This was actually a pretty great hotel, even though it was definitely one of my more \"no frills\" experiences. Most of all, it was clean and comfortable. Add in the fact that it was a decent price (in Brooklyn), and you can't beat it. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was very convenient to the train. Paid like 350$ for a night that def wasnt worth it. Rooms are definitely lacking. And there is NO sound isolation whatsoever, from the outside from the windows nor the inside of the building.

Throughout the night, which i assume is housekeeping, kept like opening trash bags and cleaning with music on several times thru the night, waking me up.

If you wanna sleep, do not book here.

Also, they mentioned there was free breakfast and that's apparenlty coffee and tea only. False advertising.

The staff put shampoo instead of hand soap in the dispenser above the bathroom sink. Then they deceptively tore off the label so we wouldn't notice they weren't providing hand soap, which is a health code violation. I could still see the \"oo\" from the \"Shampoo\" label, and it smelled and foamed exactly like the shampoo in the shower dispenser. I asked for hand soap and they changed it, but that doesn't change the deception. I hadn't noticed the \"oo\" on the dispenser til the morning, the soap smelled the same as my shampoo when I showered. Gross, all that time I hadn't been properly washing my hands, and this is cold and flu season.

There isn't carpeting, so at least they're less likely to have bedbugs.

I like that checkout is 12pm.

I like that they had tea downstairs, I didn't like it that they didn't keep it stocked. I've had better coffee at truckstops though.

This place is affordable, clean, and in a decent area. I never once felt unsafe. This place is basic and good if you want to stay out of the city to save some money but do not expect much. You’ll get a clean room,
Friendly staff, short walk to a subway station, but that’s about.

My biggest complaint is the bedding. The bed is comfy but there is no duvet or anything to keep you warm just a paper thin blanket.
