Nice reception, but it's an alcohol free hotel, which is a shame as it would be nice to just have a glass of wine, but had to head out in not such great weather.

Nice, good value breakfast, but if you're a bacon or pork sausage lover it's not for you, but chicken sausages and other hot food provided and all the food is fresh and well presented.

Make sure you don't pay for parking by the phone app in the car park, as it doesn't state you pay inside, so I've paid twice.

Close to underground (currently partly closed) which is nothing to do with the hotel, so is a bonus once the renovations to the station are done.

One of the nicest hotels that I have stayed this year. The room was spotless. The staff were absolutely amazing. They were very prompt when we had issues with the shower and it was fixed within half an hour calling them. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone.

This is my 7th stay with Southgate Hotel. This time round with my husband.

We enjoyed the stay. The room was quiet, clean and the bed was comfortable.

The staff were courteous at all times from reception staff to cleaning staff.

I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in London.

Hotel Staff are Excellent. The room was clean. The Reason i have not given 5 stars..... The hotel is very basic , no bar , no restaurant (only pizzas) the gym has minimal equipment for the size of the room instead they have chairs with books to sit on. They could of utilisedthis space with free weights and more equipment, Didnt really get it. The parking is also costly at £20 per night.

This hotel is undoubtedly the most luxurious option in the Southgate area, offering amenities such as electric “do not disturb” and “clean touch” buttons conveniently located on the bedside, which illuminate an electric monitor outside the room. Additionally, it features a walk-in shower and a 24-hour pizza restaurant. We enjoyed our stay. The only minor issue I encountered was the presence of hair on the basin and wall in the shower, which raised concerns about the cleanliness prior to our arrival. Otherwise, our experience was flawless.

Genuinely no complaints. Beautifully decorated for Christmas, and had a luscious smell running all through the hotel (like a spa!). Very nice and modern room - fresh walls with touch screen features for the lights and aircon. Took a while to figure out but once you do it’s really easy to warm up (or cool down) the room. I like that there’s a long mirror so you can see your whole outfit also!

Perfect for a short stay (not the largest and doesn’t have a wardrobe but perfect for a day or two!).

stated pizza was 24/7 and had lots of advertisements when arrived about pizza and 2 drinks for £15, when asked about pizza the oven was not turned on and would take over an hour to start cooking. was not ideal when arriving as wanted to eat before going out for a gig we were there for. had to go out for food instead.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was spotlessly clean and well maintained, which made it feel comfortable right away. The reception staff were friendly and welcoming, creating a positive first impression.

Parking was straightforward and hassle-free, which is always a bonus. The hotel is conveniently located near a main street with plenty of places to eat, so finding dinner options was easy. Despite being close to amenities, the hotel itself was quiet and peaceful—I slept really well.

-Our room was right by the door to the floor, so we were woken up constantly by other guests slamming the door :(
-Being on floor 1, there was a party on until 1am where we overlooked and the window was small but didn’t protect much from outside noise.

Sluggish drain in bathroom sink. Couldn't take a shower without water getting all over the floor outside. Did not replace empty tissue box when cleaning the room.
Great location. Many wonderful shops and restaurants in the neighborhood within walking distance. Around the corner from a Tube stop. Breakfast was not very good at all. And unfortunately, they serve the exact same thing every day.

This is a nice, seemingly modern hotel, and the staff were friendly. We stayed for five nights. It is our fault for not checking the location of this hotel before we came. It is located in Southgate, which (ironically) is on the north side of London. There is easy access to a subway by five minute walk. Unfortunately the subway from Southgate to downtown London takes more than 30 minutes. This is probably the reason for the somewhat lower price point than other London hotels.
The air conditioner in our room did not work, and we notified the hotel staff as soon as we knew it. In fairness, they did offer to let us change rooms, but we had so much baggage and were so spread out in the room, we did not want to change. They said they would get it fixed the next day. They did not, nor did they ever fix it until checkout day. It was nice to have some AC on moveout day, but it would’ve been a lot nicer to have it while we were staying there. As compensation, the attendant offered me a free bottled drink.
There was no separator between the shower and the rest of the bathroom, so water went everywhere. There were not enough places to hang towels.
Gladly, we did not prepay 10£ each for that breakfast every day. The same continental breakfast was offered each morning. Although diverse, it was mostly ultraprocessed foods with a few pieces of fresh fruit.
We concluded that the management was sparing every pence at the expense of customer satisfaction.

There are plenty of places nearby where you can get a decent breakfast though.
