Felt very private and the property has fantastic views of Aswan from up top. That said, it also means it's a bit less convenient to get into town especially by foot. The property is also connected to the main Basma hotel slightly down hill which is bigger and busier, so that's both a private and a potential issue for some. But because the Exec Club is more private, service was more attentive and privacy away from heavy traffic was better.

The staff was amazing. Very helpful and kind.
The location is a little outside of the main area of town, and up a hill, making access to the market tougher (5 min uber).
The real complaint is the noise. There was one night where there was a police 'celebration' until 4AM (yes really). This featured loud music and real ammunition being fired off into the sky (yes really). Very noisy.

This property is located on top of a small hill in Aswan. The river view from the window is amazing. It’s a new resort which has been operated for three years. The facilities are new and clean. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed the dinner at the pool side. It’s a pleasant memory with my patents. The only thing is that you will have to call a cab if you would like to have meals in Aswan downtown.

The hotel was wonderful! Very pretty, comfortable and peaceful. Everything was organized and clean. The view of the city from the hotel was beautiful. Staff offered a good service with a lot of hospitality. The restaurant was big and offered a variety of food to enjoy. Overall the stay was amazing. I highly recommended.

Bad service and hotel

Firstly I had booked the room in Basma Executive Club but then down graded me to Basma Hotel without prior intimation.

There was no one to pick up my luggage from car until reception area which was under construction and I had no clue where I am going.

Reception person offered for free dinner as compensation but it was too late as we had arranged our dinner. He mentioned to speak to his boss and let us know if anything they can do better but obviously no show.

The room which I was given had loose doors or windows due to which whole night we could hear the banging of that door or window because of wind.

Overall, I was very upset for the amount of money I spent for booking this hotel.

I will not recommend this hotel to anyone

This Hotel is the best! The staff are absolutely amazing. Very friendly and so accommodating. The rooms are a good size, clean and comfortable also quiet. The pool is gorgeous and the view is stunning. Great food. Just overall Incredible!

Excellent place to stay. Hotel is on a hillside with great view of the Nile River below and flood plains. The staff are highly professional. Check in and check out very smooth, no issues. Great breakfast with many options. Will stay again.

The staff were great and helped us arrange a tour. They were very friendly and allowed us to shower before going to the airport. The view from the hotel is amazing. However, because it's so high up, it's not terribly walkable to the sites. The pool area is disappointing and had broken umbrellas and very little shade. I also had to ask for towels. The breakfast is not that great, did not have fruit other than an apple and no cereal. Also, we were told, the espresso machine wasn't working. Overall, I would give it a mediocure rating.

Very small, quiet property. Did what it was needed to do. The bathroom and the hotel in general was a bit run down but the staff was nice. Only stayed for 1 night. Wouldn’t have wanted to stay for more than that. Air condition was cool bed was ok. Nice views

Very clean room. Good size, fridge and safe box. The only hotel with heating. Amazing view over the city. Free WiFi with fast upload but mediocre download speed. Open network, blocked VPN, no WhatsApp. TV has good channels but doesn’t stay in upright position as the bolts are loose.
Wide bathroom with bathtub. Only one hand towel, no floor mat and water goes all over the floor. The second day got floor mat but only one bath towel. Seems the number of towels in bathroom are limited to a combined three. Had to clean the shower head from deposits as the water was spraying in all directions. Impossible to get steady water temperature. The bathroom fan and the mirror light didn’t work. Bed headrest light falling out of the place, you can see the wires behind. No night table on the left side of the bed. The light switch for left headlight is on the right.

Loved my stay at this hotel. Location was great on top of a hill with amazing views of the city and Nile river. The hotel was clean and staff were always helpful. Nubian museum was just a few meters downhill and it was easy to walk to the city and the port. We took tuk tuks to go back up though.

Let me just start by saying the people who work here are wonderful. Having that said, it’s not kept up or cleaned and the rooms were missing key things like coffee. The hardest part was the shower came out with a trickle and quickly switched between scalding and freezing cold. Its a nice property and with some investment, could be better.

Great hotel with a beautiful view. The staff were wonderful and everyone was super friendly and helpful. We stayed in the family room with two separate rooms and a kitchenette, 2 baths. The rooms could be updated and the beds aren’t the most comfortable but overall it’s a great value hotel.

The hotel has an awesome view. Big problem though we had no water for most of the morning.
Could not even flush the toilet. Light fixture in the bathroom does not work and the bathroom door would not close. Safe in the room dies not work either.

If you are visiting Aswan you MUST stay at The Basma Executive Club. It has the best and most breathtaking views of the city.
The whole staff is simply AMAZING! Professional and polite. They will help you with everything you need and run the extra mile for you to make you happy and make your stay a wonderful experience.
We were celebrating our honeymoon and both of our birthdays and they gave us a room upgrade and the restaurant manager Walid (not sure of spelling) surprised us with a delicious cake to celebrate all the occasions. The suite was very spacious.
Breakfast was included in our rate and it was delicious. They will also provide you with a breakfast box if you need to leave early in the morning for touring.
The hotel is located on a hill so you will need to get a taxi to go up (we paid 20 EGP from the Corniche) or a tuk tuk (10 EGP).
Our stay was full of pros. The only cons we found is that the furniture is a bit old/outdated and the Wi-Fi was a bit unstable.

The view of Aswan and the Nile was spectacular, one of the best in Egypt.

The staff were very helpful and friendly.

The food was outstanding.

The only downside was the lack of a few things in the room, such as a desk and chair for use with one's laptop. There was plenty of room to add this but also there was much space devoted to drawers for clothes that could be converted to desk-type space use. The capacity of the drawers was several times what people are allowed to take with them on planes so it sits unused. I did explain this to the person at the reception prior to departing.

This property has THE location in Aswan with most beautiful view on Nille - from room, from terrace, simply amazing. Staff are amazing people, we felt like we were home. So kind, helpfull, always at your service. We were celebrating birthday, per request, they prepared birthday cake, balloons etc, it was amazing. If you're about to visit Aswan, this is the place to stay.

We enjoyed our stay. Given COVID, it was not crowded at all so we got a room upgrade. Despite not being crowded, the breakfast buffet was plentiful. The location is great - nice views of the city and walking distance of Nubian Museum. My only suggestion would be for the hotel to enhance its wi-fi coverage to more portions of the hotel.

So a couple things. If you are a light sleeper like me you may not get much sleep. The bed is super hard. Pillows aren’t great. The windows are thin so if anyone is talking outside you’ll hear them.

There is loudspeaker that goes off at 4am everyday that woke me every morning.

The shower and bathroom is old but clean, not much pressure and the shower is held together with string.

Breakfast is basic. Some bread, 1 hot dish with meat and eggs with a small salad bar. As a vegan and gluten free there wasn’t anything for me besides cucumber and tomato.

The reception staff are hit or miss, one was helpful and one wasn’t. The cleaning staff are super nice.

The location is fine. Walking distance to the Nubian museum and obelisk.

There isn’t much choice is Aswan and the alternative was 3x the price to stay the Sofitel or Movenpick.

Since you mostly need a hotel to sleep I would look for another place and check it’s quiet.

The best view property in Aswan, a smaller hotel providing an exceptional 2-day stay, which I wished was much longer. The facility is beautiful, newly renovated, a kitchen available for requests and a staff that was second to none, even after I had checked out and needed to find my Kindle.

If I ever get a chance to be in Aswan again, I will stay here...but for longer, as I didn’t have time to enjoy the beautiful pool or the views from the roof. Do yourself a favor and select this property, it is absolutely lovely!
