We loved our stay. The room was great and the food was amazing. We were there out of season so there was not a lot of entertainment but we were expecting this. However, we had a lot of fun during our stay.

Clean, Friendly and helpful staff in every facility the hotel offers!
Plenty of space, sunbeds, seating and so many pools never felt crowded even with 2000+ guests staying. Entertainment is on offer every day but with bar options you can easily avoid if you wanted to do so!

Family friendly but caters to adults to.
Couldnt fault restraunts, even with dietry requirements they were happy to accomodate and bring allergen friendly meals to your table.

The late arrivals buffet at 11pm is a fab option when you arrive at the end of dinner and there is an early breakfast for those leaving early to. Feels like everything has been thought about.

It is an open hotel (gated with a security guard at the entrance) but the corridoors are open to outside so a few walls needed small bits of maintenance and as early in the season some renovation still happening but the hotel left us a note explaining and didnt interfere with our stay at all!

Waiters and Bar staff so friendly and didnt not have a single issue.
Very happy and will return.

As others have said the hill to and from the hotel to the main roads by foot is a little steep but we found it plenty manageable wearing trainers.
Bus stop into Heraklion right outside or you can walk to the town centre in 30 mins.

We arrived shortly after a sandstorm so understandably the hotel had some work to do to tidy up.
The restaurants were all mostly open and the food was of a good standard.
The hotel is in walking distance to the beach but you do need to cross a busy road.
The resort has a lot of facilities and I’m sure during the man holiday season is a great place to be.
During our stay there were a number of building works taking place and 2 pools were out of service, one of which was the “water park”. This was not mentioned to us during the booking process.
The main buildings are well maintained and the staff are all very good. The room we had was beginning to look a little tired in places.

We loved our stay (August 2025) at the Royal And Imperial Belvedere hotel. Our room was great, newly decorated and spotlessly clean.
The main dining area is really big and being able to sit outside meant you didn't feel like you were going to the same restaurant for every meal! Lots of fresh food options, the grill and the salad bars were excellent. The causal dining options were also great with a range of family friendly food available.
Having a separate bar area from the entertainment means you can choose a more peaceful spot in the evening, or get involved in the fun.
The pools are fab - a 50 metre pool on holiday! Even when it was busy it didn't feel busy. Plenty of sunbeds available around the pools or on the peaceful sun terrace.
Theres not a lot to walk to nearby and the local beaches are taken up by sunbeds from the bars, but we'd recommend a walk into Koutouloufari for a look round the shops or a drink in the evening.

Pros-The location of the hotel is in walking distance to lots or restaurants, shopping areas and it's easy to catch a cab outside the gate. The food is good! My expectations for this was low because usually the food at all-inclusive resorts are a hit or miss. The resort is clean and seems well maintained. I was surprised with a bottle of wine and dessert was waiting for me with a "happy birthday " that was thoughtful and I appreciated it.

Cons-I've traveled numerous places and stayed in ALL-INCLUSIVE and NONE ALL-INCLUSIVE Resorts and never have I ever had to pay to use the safe. Paying 3 Euro's a day to use the safe inside of the room that I paid ALL-INCLUSIVE for is ridiculous. I only found out there was a charge because I kept getting an error once I tried to unlock it and had to call receptionist. I was told I had to come pay and someone will come and unlock it. Once my partner got to the receptionist and told them we were no longer going to use it, the guy said; then they wouldn't charge then and after all it's been less than 24 hrs since we started using it. They came unlocked it, we took our stuff out and they locked it. 1 Euro foe beach towels and 2 Euro's for safe in luggage room. Restaurants and snack bars close at 9:30, Bars close at 1:00 am but there in a mini market that seems to be open late or maybe even 24 hrs.
What is the point of all-inclusive if there are hidden fees? If you use a washcloth bring your own, (Face & bath towel provided)

Everything about this hotel was excellent from beginning to end. Check-in and check-out were smooth and convenient; staff were very welcoming. Our family suite was wonderful. We even got a free upgrade to a room with an ocean view! The pools were amazing, water was clean and warm. Sun beds were always available, albeit not necessarily directly in front of the pool in the first row. We didn’t mind because we were travelling with our kids who are teenagers. The food at the buffet was varied, plentiful and delicious. We ate at Imperial Sakura and Kafeino and had a fantastic meal served to us each time. The snack bars also offer a diverse selection from the coveted gyros to burgers and sandwiches, salads, pizza, and fish. Yes, there are a lot of stairs at the hotel and yes, you do have to walk down and up a small hill to get to the ocean beaches. For someone with limited mobility, this may be an issue. Otherwise, we took it as great exercise, even in the Cretan heat and sunshine! Overall, it was a fabulous stay and we would not hesitate to recommend the Belverdere to others.

Family room was clean and comfortable
Minor bathroom issue fixed quickly by maintenance

Its a flop and drop resort with lots of entertainment, eating options, drinking options, suitable for all ages.
Sunbeds next to pool were hard to get at times. Access to Beachcomber club was great. Loved the mexican buffet for lunch and greek buffet. Staff were excellent. Highly recommend.

We spent 7 nights at this hotel. Close to restaurants and to loads of souvenir shops. The rooms were nice and clean. This hotel is made of two resorts the Imperial and Belvedere. They put us at the Belvedere I would say not as nice as the Imperial. There were tons of families with kids and at times it was a bit loud across hallways and so forth.
We tried all inclusive for once. The food was good but all inclusive is definitely not our thing since we like to experience different places and restaurants. Overall we like the areas and great views.
You should try the restaurant in the resort that specializes in Greek cuisine especially the lamb Antikristo. You have to pay $25 per person per dinner extra not included in the package but totally worth it.

Overall a decent hotel, quite large, and All Inclusive worked well. Good choice of food & drink options throughout the day. Animation team enthusiastic with a fairly reasonable program of activities. Nightly entertainment could be improved with more shows. We were here as the hotel was preparing to close for winter and it felt as though the shutdown was taking place before all the guests had left and the facilities were dwindling by the day! Nevertheless, we enjoyed our holiday and would return here!

Just had 5 nights at this hotel (late October) and it was wonderful. Busy enough to feel part of something, quiet enough so that there were no queues at all for food (which was plentiful, varied and delicious) and plenty of space in every area (poolside, restaurants, etc). Room was comfy, pools were lovely (if a little cold), sun loungers were plentiful, staff were great (my daughter and I did sunset yoga every day - bliss) and only a 25 minute taxi ride from Heraklion Airport. Deserves every one of it's 4 stars.

Overall it was a good hotel. However , there’s always room for improvements. Such as , why do we need to pay 6 euros for cocktails that aren’t on the cocktail list. At others all inclusive, they never charged me extra for an aperol. Also , why charge 1 euro a day for a pool towel, it’s supposed to be an all inclusive . Lastly, serving cocktails in a paper cup near the pool area is just odd.

Still here now on our last day, the stay has been brilliant, can't fault any of the food, all of the staff are very helpful, even a surprise bottle of wine and hand crafted dessert delivered to our room for my fiancees birthday, completely unexpected, couldn't want for more, We're already looking in booking back in and will bring the kids next time, the is always something going on, the animation team were so energetic non stop all day and night, first night we went for a walk and I was going to buy a gyros, only to find they are part of the all inclusive poolside menu, must have had 2-3 everyday, just perfect, finished off with a relaxing massage today by the expert hands of the on site massage therapists, sorry to be going home, the entire trip has just been nothing short of spectacular, thank you to all of the staff here at the royal belvedere we will be back

We had an amazing time at this resort!! Exceeded our expectations!! The staff and animators were so friendly and went out of their way to make our stay memorable!! So many activities for kids and adults!! Food was great and there were many options if you are vegetarian!
We are a family of 5 and the suites were very spacious! Loved the hot tub in our balcony and the beautiful view!!
We really enjoyed all the activities and shows with the animators which are super friendly and get to know you during your stay! Our kids loved that!
There is a very nice lady that has a shop and does beautiful unique braids for the kids! I highly recommend!
The staff at the wellness center were amazing and gave our kids a unique chocolate massage!
We also got our kids private tennis lessons with Mark at BreakAway Tennis and he was amazing with the and paid close attention to their individual needs!
Many beautiful beaches within a 20 minute cab ride or you can walk to Star Beach which is a 10
Minute walk. You also have many shops and restaurants close by which is great!!
We will definitely be coming back!!

Amazing Family Stay with Exceptional Service

Everything was amazing: the quick and friendly check-in, the helpful staff member who escorted us to our room with the luggage, and the room with the hot tub was clean, comfortable, and perfect for large families – probably one of the best family rooms I've stayed in. I was initially concerned about the salty water in the pools, but it turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The check-out process was also quick, and the kind front desk lady was very accommodating with my late check-out request.

We just got back from Crete.
The Royal Belvedere Resort offers various pools, dining and recreation options for couples and families. We really went for the Olympic 50 meter swimming pool. We swim laps and this was a challenge as our regular pool is 25 meters. Also we went a little off season. Food was good and plenty of it. We also took a taxi to the Old Hersonissos village and walked back. My wife had a great time shopping by the beach area shops. We will go back.

The property is really nice! They have lots of snack bars and a few restaurants on site if you don’t want to leave but it’s also really close to the boulevard which has tons of bars and restaurants. It’s also nice that it’s walking distance to the beach. I would definitely stay there again!

What an amazing holiday we had here last week. The hotel is stunning with fantastic pools and facilities.

Overall we had a fantastic time! The spa ladies were fantastic and we highly recommend a deep tissue massage and hydra facial. The animation team never failed to put a smile on our faces and more often than not got us involved in the activities to hand. The food could not be faulted but a very limited choice but what do you expect for an all inclusive, we chose to eat out a couple of nights to break it up. The guys who arranged our scuba diving trip within the hotel were absolutely fantastic, a brilliant day and great people! A special thanks to Cedric and Ryan!

בהזמנה ביקשנו עריסה לתינוק ושנגיע בסביבות 23:00, ציפינו שבחדר כבר תהיה עריסה ולא היתה.
קיבלנו חדר משפחה קטן ודחוס, בקושי שהיו מקומות אחסון בארונות (הרוב היה תליה ולא היו מדפים).
המרפסת היתה ענקית אך צמודה למסדרון ושמענו כל רעש משם.
החדר לא היה הכי נקי שיש וגם לא ניקו את הרצפה למרות שהיתה מלוכלכת בעיקר משיער.
האוכל בארוחות הבוקר היה זהה ב 97% כל יום, היה סביר.
ארוחת הצהריים היו מבאסות ודלות.
ארוחת הערב היתה הכי עשירה.
רוב המנות בכל הארוחות כוללות חזיר, שזה מגביל מאוד.
יש לפחות 5 בריכות, אחת מהן עם כמה מגלשות קטנות לילדים (ילדים מעל גיל 5 ישתעממו מהר מהם). הבריכות מאוד עמוקות וההיצע לעלדים קטן.
המלון ענק ובנוי ממבנים שלא קשורים האחד לשני וזה מצריך מעבר ברגל, המון מדרגות ושיפועים תלולים (היינו עם עגלת תינוק). אם רוצים לצטת מהמלון לרחוב יש ירידה ארוכה ובחזרה למלון קשוח לעלות אותה ברגל.
היו 2 ברים חיצוניים עם אוכל והתורים שם היו ענקיים.
מיטות השמש נחטפות מוקדם בבוקר על ידי השארת חפצים על המיטות - ביום הראשון היה לנו קשה למצוא מקום ישיבה. (עד שלמדנו והתנהגנו כמו כולם).
בגדול חוויה טובה, לא חושב שהיינו חוזרים.
משם עברנו למלון בשם Arminda, גם 4 כוכבים - אבל רמה אחת מעל.
אוכל טעים ומתקני מלון טובים.

Excellent choice of all inclusive hotel.

Lovely family holiday in a lovely family all inclusive hotel. We had family superior rooms, which could sleep 4 people as they had 2 separate rooms, one with 2 single beds the other with a king size bed, a bathroom and another separate toilet.rooms and bathrooms were very clean and bright and airy. Ours had beautiful views over the coastline and town. Plenty choice at mealtimes in the buffet restaurant, always something for everybody. Also had a separate children’s buffet area. As well as the buffet restaurant there were snack bars on the other two levels beside the pools during the day with ice cream available throughout the day as well. There was also an Italian restaurant which you could use once during your stay. This was a bit disappointing as we expected it to be a separate restaurant not it was only one of the snack bars decorated in the evening. Still buffet style. We had no problems getting sun loungers at any of the pools but we were there outwith school holidays. The only downside of the hotel was it was up a hill with quite a steep road taking you down to the Main Street and beach, although there was a shuttle 3 x daily. On the road down there were a few pens with goats, donkeys, tortoises and chickens which entertained the kids on the walk up or down. Would I recommend this hotel, yes I would. The photos on the websites don’t do it justice.

Better than expected.

Stayed in a newly built 2 bedroom accommodation. Very pleasant.
Meals were excellent and help from staff regarding gluten free options were good.
Grounds are enormous with a choice of at least 6 pools and loads of sun bathing areas with quality sun beds and mattresses,with a choice of quiet areas or areas near music and games.
Nice lounges and bar areas.
Courtesy bus to and from sea front/town area to save walking up steep hill.
Nice little villages within a short walk at back of hotel.

Perfect location and very clean

Me and my partner stayed for 10 nights and we didn't want to leave. The food was nice, even my partner enjoyed it and she is fussy with foods. It was clean, loads of pool tables and arcade machines. There was entertainment every night, classes every day like yoga and body step, massages outside on the grass. The room we stayed in was pretty basic but it done the job as we was always out doing local excursions. Overall I would rate this hotel 8/10. Would definitely go back as it is in a perfect location.

Es war unser erster Urlaub in einem All-inclusive-Hotel und wir hatten einen wunderschöne Zeit! Unser Familienzimmer war geräumig und hatte einen tollen Ausblick über das Meer (und sogar einen Jacuzzi!). Die Ausstattung des Hotels ist super - die Schwimmbäder sind ein Highlight. Das Essen im Buffetrestaurant hat uns gut geschmeckt und es gibt auch weitere Optionen (zB. ein kretisches Restaurant und ein asiatisches Restaurant sowie eine Snackbar am Pool). Das Personal am Empfang und das Events-Team waren sehr freundlich. Die kretische Tanzshow war super! Das Hotel ist gut gelegen - es gibt eine Bushaltestelle (Busse in Richtung Heraklion, Agios Nikolaos usw.) und einige wunderschöne Strände sind fußläufig zu erreichen.

Sehr schöne Anlage – absolut empfehlenswert

Die Hotelanlage ist wirklich wunderschön und für jeden Geschmack ist etwas dabei. Alles war sehr gepflegt, und man merkt dem Hotel sein Alter überhaupt nicht an.

Die Liegen am Pool waren äußerst bequem, und wir haben immer freie Plätze gefunden – natürlich hängt das auch ein wenig von der Reisezeit ab. Rund um die Pools gibt es Selbstbedienungsstationen mit Bier, Wein und Säften.

Es gibt drei À-la-carte-Restaurants (Bierhaus, Griechisch und Asiatisch). Jedes davon kann einmal kostenlos besucht werden – mit Ausnahme des griechischen Restaurants, hier fällt ein Aufpreis von 25 € an. Die hauseigenen Restaurants und Snackbars sind hervorragend. Das Essen war stets abwechslungsreich und von sehr guter Qualität, sodass wirklich jeder etwas Passendes findet.

Bei den Getränken im Restaurant (All Inclusive) sind die angebotenen Säfte leider stark verwässert und kaum genießbar. Dafür gab es Wein (rot, rosé, weiß), Bier und Cola, die in Ordnung waren. An den Bars sind bestimmte Cocktails (z. B. Cuba Libre, Gin Tonic, Sex on the Beach) sowie Schnäpse wie Raki und Ouzo inklusive, andere wie etwa ein Mojito müssen extra bezahlt werden. Die Cocktails stammen größtenteils aus Automaten und waren eher durchschnittlich.

Das Hotel verfügt über keinen eigenen Strand und keine Liegen dort. Der nächstgelegene Strand ist jedoch in ca. 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Zusätzlich fährt dreimal täglich ein kostenloser Shuttlebus hin und zurück.

Het is een enorm groot hotel. Het eten is lekker en de drankjes ook. Het personeel is bijzonder vriendelijk en het animatieteam is top. Wat hebben zij een energie en ze hebben enorm goede interactie met de kinderen. Minder vond ik dat er nauwelijks voldoende plek was bij het zwembad. 's Morgens vroeg waren alle ligbedjes gereserveerd met een handdoek die er in de nacht of in de vroege ochtend op worden gelegd en pas ruim na het ontbijt komen mensen (en soms ook niet). Het hotel heeft een policy dat dit niet is toegestaan, maar ze doen er helemaal niks aan. En dat viel me erg tegen!

De kamer was netjes, maar de schoonmaak kon wel beter. Er heeft onze hele week een nare lucht op de kamer gehangen waar meermaals melding van is gemaakt, maar waar ze niks aan hebben gedaan of hebben kunnen doen.

Het hele complex zag er netjes uit, maar het kon met name rond de zwembaden wel wat schoner. Op sommige plekken hangen soms vieze luchtjes. Maar dat weet je ook in warme landen.

Overall een heerlijke week gehad met wat negatieve puntjes maar vooral de positieve blijven hangen! Ietwat overpriced naar mijn mening.

If you have any questions, you were warmly welcomed, I found it good that the service is well trained, some could even speak German. In the hotel itself there are offers every day for young and old, which I found particularly nice. We tolerated the food well, every day something different is offered. Very varied, many salads, different meat, rice, potatoes, pasta or fries to choose from. I can highly recommend the hotel, because even in bad weather it can be endured very well.

An sich eine wirklich schöne Anlage. Schöne Zimmer und alles sauber. Der große Knackpunkt allerdings ist das Essen und die Getränke. Fader Geschmack, die Qualität leidet extrem.
Bei den Getränken dasselbe. Die Cocktails schmecken furchtbar. Da muss dringend etwas verbessert werden. Auch das alle Getränke in Pappbecher gezapft werden, finde ich fürchterlich.

Was auch sehr ungewöhnlich für ein All-inklusive Hotel ist, dass man keine Handtücher für den Pool bekommt. Ein Handtuch kostet pro Tag 1€.

Ansonsten kann man nichts sagen. Das Personal ist trotz des hohen Stresslevels sehr bemüht und immer freundlich. Die Zimmer sind schön und wirklich sauber. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im Hauptgebäude im 5. Stock und somit einen tollen Blick auf das Meer. Ideal für Familien mit Kindern.

Das Hotel ist auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.
Essen ist top, täglich wechselnde Gerichte und von Fisch bis Lamm alles mögliche dabei.
Die Pools sind sauber, die Zimmer waren auch sauber und modern eingerichtet.
Täglich konnte man aufräunen lassen, bekam neue Handtücher und täglich 2 Flaschen Wasser ins zimmer gebracht.
Also alles in allem super Hotel.
Kleines Manko, liegt nicht direkt am Meer, hat allerdinge einen Shuttleservice der einen zum Meer im benachbarten Hotel fährt, 3 Minuten.
Und der Berg zum Hotel hoch ist zu Fuss etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, allerdings nichts um das Hotel schlecht zu bewerten

Mooi resort, wel heel groot en best druk. Hou je niet van massaal, moet je hier niet zijn. Wij vonden het wel gezellig.
All inclusive betekent hier letterlijk 24/7 eten en drinken in overvloed maar verrassend moet je voor sommige dingen betalen, bijv gebruik van de safe op de kamer is tegen betaling, ook strandhanddoeken huur je per dag. Ook goed te beseffen dat dit geen strandaccommodatie is! Strand lopend te bereiken (10 min) of met de shuttle die paar keer per dag op en neer rijdt. Richting het strand lopen gaat makkelijk, teruglopen bergopwaarts! Op het strand ligbedjes en parasols te huur. 1 bedje is €8 en een parasol is €4. Tikt aardig aan als je bijv met z’n vieren bent, per dag €40. Hou je van chillen aan het zwembad, keuze zat hier met meerdere zwembaden! Wees er echter heel vroeg bij als je een plekje wil bemachtigen!
De kamers zijn netjes, dagelijks worden bedden opgemaakt, handdoeken verwisseld en wc-rollen aangevuld. Wordt verder niet schoongemaakt (badkamer) of gestofzuigd/gedweild.
In het algeheel een goede indruk. Minpunt is het servies/glaswerk/bestek in restaurants. Die zijn niet goed schoon, bijna op elk bordje etensrestjes te vinden en dat is wel heel jammer.
Het personeel op het resort en in restaurants is heel, maar dan echt heel aardig.

Fint hotel med de forventede faciliteter. Ikke alt er nyt, men en stand der fint lever op til billederne. Værelset er i en fin stand og rent. Køkkenet kan godt trænge til en højere kvalitet, men udvalget af retter gør det attraktivt for de fleste. Vær opmærksom på at hotellet er bygget på en skråning, hvorfor det absolut ikke er for dårligt gående, med utrolig mange trapper i udendørsområderne. Adgang til havet og stranden er yderst sparsom, og er ikke værd at satse på. Er du til at ligge ved poolen og nyde all inclusive på hotellet, er hotellet helt oplagt til det.

Hotellet man skal besøge, hvis man er på Kreta

Vi tilbragte en helt fantastisk uge på dette hotel. Faciliteterne var gode og den service de ydede på hotellet var også i topklasse. Vi blev fulgt hen til vores værelse, imens vi fik en lille rundvisning af det meget store hotel. Man fik også et stykke papir med et kort over hotellet samt en kort beskrivelse af hotellet, de mange muligheder og restauranterne. Restauranterne var gode og serverede meget varieret mad, og tjenerne var hurtige og venlige. Underholdningen og aktiviteterne på hotellet var også varieret og fantastiske. De havde en gruppe unge mennesker, som sørget for god underholdning både i løbet af dagen, men især også om aftenen. Vi blev både underholdt med sjove sketches, game nights og “musicals”. Vores værelse var også helt fantastisk. Det var både rent, stort og moderne med god aircondition. Og vi havde også den hyggeligste lille balkon, hvorfra vi havde udsigt til både bjerge og havet. Så smukt! Hersonissos by er kun en kort 30 minutters gåtur derfra og man går langs havet, så man har den smukkeste udsigt imens. Alt i alt et fantastisk ophold! Ville klart anbefale det til alle jeg kender. Jeg er også allerede klar til at booke en tur til næste år.
