We stayed one evening while we were down in Sarasota for a Spring Training game. Due to the beach and ballgame season, prices at all hotels were up. So to find one at $200 per night was the cheapest that looked decent from photos.

Upon arrival, the evening clerk (Darryl), greeted us and was not particularly friendly. Upon going through the registration process, he took our IDs. Do not stay at this property. Desk clerk was very rude and they don't answer the phone after you book online. I tried calling numberous times to advise our late arrival l, and they two phone numbers online just rang and rang. Finally got to this property and the desk clerk wasn't too happy since I'm pretty sure we woke him up.at 10pm. I tried to cancel our reservation for the 2nd night that we had booked but Darnell the desk clerk refused to cancel. Stay clear of this property. The room rate was $320 a night and I would rather sleep in my car than stay at this property.

The WoodSpring Suites in Bradenton was adequate for our 1 night stay. The room was barrack-like and stark. The bed while comfortable had only 2 pillows for 2 people. There was only one desk chair in the entire room. The bathroom was the only stand out feature of the room. Large and clean with a good walk-in shower.

No coffee maker is provided. We were told to go to Starbucks. Gross. They do not have handicap rails in the bathrooms. I ran out of toilet paper & wanted fresh towels. I was on crutches & they handed me the towels & toilet paper to try to carry back to my room on the second floor. There was a barking dog right above our room. We complained numerous times & the dog still continued to bark. We asked to be moved & they said we could but we had to wait for housekeeping. When we returned later that day, we learned they close the counter/office every evening till morning. I have never rented a hotel that has zero staff working around the clock. We were unable to switch room because we had already purchased tickets for things during the day. I was not about to cancel my plans because of this barking dog. Bring a coffee maker & ear plugs if you dare to stay here.

The room had a musty smell. A few walls appeared dirty. The cleanliness was lacking in the bathroom and unfortunately I found some loose hair particles in the bathroom too. The gentleman that checked me in was extremely nice, even though I arrived at 1:20am due to flight delays. The manager did compensate me a refund with quick help of rep from Expedia.

No amenities at all, the water in shower was like warm, the shower spout fell off and couldn’t be replaced and the water would not turn off, not even a plastic cup was offered in the room nor coffee maker. Those were offered for a fee. No coffee in the lobby either.

I reported this building to APD and City Building Inspectors & code enforcement. None of the THREE incredibly unnecessary, heavy entry doors are handicapped accessible leaving check in desk impossible for someone to enter independently in a wheelchair or walker to reach front desk. They should be electric or have push button options. Same with the doors entrance into rooms. NOT UP TO CODE FOR FIRE SAFETY

My stay at this hotel was a disaster. The only good thing was the check-in experience. The toilet had no water to flush most of the time. During the early morning hours, a fire alarm went off and kept sounding for several minutes for no reason. Later, there were people arguing outside the room. Overall, it was a complete waste of money. I do not recommend it at all.

I am writing to express my disappointment with my recent stay and the service I received.
At check-in, I waited about 20 minutes before receiving my room key. I was assigned room 143, but when I entered, the room had not been cleaned and was still left from the previous guest.
I returned to the front desk and waited another 20 minutes to speak with customer service. I was then moved to room 440.
After taking a shower, I discovered there were no towels in the room. I had to use my own shampoo. I tried calling customer service multiple times, but no one answered.
This experience was extremely frustrating and unacceptable. It was the worst hotel experience I have ever had, and it caused significant inconvenience.
I would appreciate this matter being reviewed and a response provided.

From the moment we arrived to check in, things started going wrong. They didn't have keys for the lobby restroom. The front desk clerk seemed to be moving in slow motion, and there was a long line. After waiting for quite a while, we finally got our room, only to find the toilet was broken; the tank wouldn't fill. I went downstairs to ask if we could switch rooms or have the toilet fixed, and they told me it wasn't possible, that there were no other rooms available and no plumber on duty. The only options were to take a single room (and there were four of us) or get a refund and cancel our stay. The hallways smelled of marijuana, and the rooms looked poorly maintained and very basic
for the price. The photos on the website show something completely different.

First of all the check in took more then 30 minutes the guy in the front desk took a long time for him to give me a key. Second the hallway in the entrance of the room was smelling so bad like people were smoking near by. Third inside the fridge was a little roach. Finally what top it all was that like around 11pm of Sunday a family was entering our room 326 because they had give them our room when my check out was on Monday. In the morning at 5am of the Monday when we went out to the car the roomkey was not working any more. This experience in the hotel was not good i don't usually leave bad reviews but this one was not a good experience at all. I don't recommend this hotel to no one

Not worth the price. Building wasn’t secure. Exterior doors were zip tied so that no key was required and anyone could walk in. We didn’t have a pet but were put in a hallway with pet rooms. Normally, that wouldn’t be a big deal but it smelled like a pet shop in the hallway. The listing said the beds were queens but they seemed more like doubles. We were going to stay here again next weekend but decided to stay elsewhere with more amenities and a cheaper price.

First and las time on this place. I think that tells everything. Staff was great but the place is bad. Old, mold everywhere (even when they try to paint on top of mold, you can see the mold and smell the mold), smell really bad (we couldn’t stay in the room, that’s how bad it was, i went thru a full bottle of febreeze and the smell still there, had to crank down the A/C to see if hold the smell but not luck.

The bathroom was so disgusting. The water pressure was non existent I could barely wet my entire body with the shower. The ceiling was poor repaired and the walls and shower were dirty. The bed was soooo hard it was like sleeping on springs and they gave you a flat sheet and a small flat blanket. The room felt damp the entire time. There were no utensils or cups, pots/pans. You had to purchase them or bring your own. Not even a laundry bag in the room. I don’t normally leave bad reviews but it was truly a deceiving listing and I would never stay there again.

Avoid this hotel. The room was spacious, but absolutely stunk. There were no curtains on the windows and we were in a room near the light post. The blinds did nothing to help with all the light coming into the room and combined with the proximity to the highway, sleep was challenging at best. When we woke up, we were greeted to four roaches crawling on our belongings. We were going to report it to the front desk, but it was unmanned at 7am when we ran out of the hotel. Never again, there is a reason the rates are so cheap.

Staff was either great or terrible. Jeniah is great. A mid-to-late 20s dark-skinned black guy told me they had no mail box and couldn’t send out a letter for me. THEN HE HAD TO GET AN AMAZON PACKAGE DELIVERED TO THEIR MAILBOX. Initially he couldn’t find the package and I told him the instructions from the delivery person said it went into the mailbox, which is where he found it. Hilarious.

They say that they will clean the hotel room every two weeks, but I stayed there for three weeks and they never cleaned it or changed towels or bedsheets.

The gym is two rusted 10 and 15 pound dumbbells. And a couple pieces of really crappy cardio machines.

There is a stove top with two burners and a microwave and a full-size fridge, but they don’t give you anything to cook with on the stove.

Don’t drink the coffee.

You get what you pay for.

I arrived at 2:10, check in was at 3pm. Asked if the room was ready, she said yes, but if I checked in 50 minutes early, I’d have to pay a $45 early check in fee. Really? I had no choice but to pay for it because my son had to be at his baseball tournament at 3pm.

Also, very thin walls, heard baby crying all night, the people above us were moving furniture and chairs, I heard dragging of the furniture and their heavy walking until 1am.

Spider on bedspread. No coffee, unless you paid extra for a coffee machine to be brought to your room.

But the night we went air conditioned was bad we end up in another room that end up getting cold hours later in the second room and at that time I wasn’t about to request a 3rd one… Beds were hard as rock..
Good thing.. the fridge, microwave and amenities were good.
But for just one night that you want a comfortable bed, good air conditioning ((this is Florida)) and good night sleep… it was BAD.

This was a suite with a kitchenette - cooktop, microwave, full size refrigerator/freezer. Not even a plastic spoon. No utensils, pots/pans/plates/bowl, paper towels, kleenex, coffee pot, coat hangers, 1 little bottle of shampoo, 1 small bar of soap, had to use my only hand towel as a bath mat, no hot water in my shower, no tv remote. The other room I rented for my business partner had no A/C and had to get another room. I had to shower in that room because it had hot water, but when you first turn the water on in the tub, a big gush of brown water comes out.

Terrible. Stay away. Dirty, kitchenette with nothing in it, useless! Not so much as a paper plate. No dishes. We go 2 bath towels and 2 washcloths, bath mat. Had to ask for a hair dryer. Said free water, no water. Told my husband you get nothing. No Kleenex. Coffee in the lobby is an instant machine, out of decaf, again too bad. We won’t go there again. My feet were black from walking in the room

Upon arrival in the afternoon, no one was around for 20 minutes at the front desk, which was eerie. The room had roaches and a torn up chair. After complaining, we were relocated to another room that didn’t have a chair at all- just a metal frame bed that looked like a rollaway. And, this cost us $360 for two nights. Worst place ever.

Don't let the photos fool you—this is the most repulsive hotel I've ever stayed at. Although the hotel has undergone extensive renovations on the outside ,the inside is dated, filthy, and noisy; the rooms and halls are filthy, foul-smelling, and full with cockroaches. It would have been better to sleep in the car instead of wasting $253 by staying away.
