There was no coffee making facility in the room, shower was too small. Swimming pool too deep and had some green mould in the corners. You have to pay for everything even the beach towels and the small water bottles delivered to your tiny room fridge. Because of its isolated location it’s hard to get access to taxis which are very expensive. Not much do do there except the beach, but you pay extras for the deck chairs and umbrellas.

Property was well positioned next to the sea but difficult to find as it is on a fenced estate area.
Property was old, concrete cast and showed it. Rooms had had the bathrooms refurbed but bed and wardrobe were old and battered. Stairs were worn edged and had lines in the marble making evening descent hazardous. Lift battered and noisy. Staff on reception sullen and bored.
Swimming pool was unsafe for families. Very deep throughout the whole pool even for me (i am 6ft). small pool at the side but the whole pool had broken edge tiles and chipped or missing repairs. Access ladders too short and broken.
Menu for evening looked dire and we notice no one eating, choosing instead to eat in town. Breakfast very average and coffee stale and bitter. Amazed that this could even begin to be considered as a four-star hotel. A TWO star on a good day at best. Better still, avoid.

The reception staff were helpful. The room clean but bare, no pictures, functional, the bed was comfortable and bathroom good.
Communal areas downstairs ok. Swimming pool was dirty, full of tree and plant debris and sand from peoples feet on the bottom, skimming the surface with a net made jo difference. Swimming pool not open all day, did not open till 9.00 then shut gor several hours at 13:00. We were charged extra for swimming towels and the hotels private beach you had to pay to use the parasols and sunbeds. On our last night we could jot eat in the restaurant because there were people on half board, when we saw the restaurant it was empty.

Worst hotel I've ever stayed at!

This hotel is terrible! We booked 2 nights but left after 1, and wish we'd left sooner, it's that bad. Don't be fooled by the nice photos of this hotel, they do a great job of covering its flaws, but from the first time you lay your eyes on this place you will regret booking to stay. It is a 1960's or 70's era hotel which really needs upgrading. The internal communal areas reminded me of student accomodation built in the same era, really unpleasant. The rooms are bear and even though recently refurbished, still poor with old furniture. The walls are thin so you will be disturbed by the noise around your room. However, the biggest disturbance during our stay was an intermittent mechanical sound coming through the ceiling, something resembling a water tank filling, pausing for 5-10 minutes, then refilling. It kept us awake all night. The constant buzz of mosquitoes was also very problematic and worrying for a 4th floor room. I'm sure they were coming through the ventilation and I was bitten to pieces. The food during dinner and breakfast is awful, like canteen food, and any reviewers saying the food was fine should just go to any other restaurant in Sardinia to see the difference. The beach is ok but we found it better to get off the private section so it really isn't a worthy selling point. This is the worst hotel I've ever been to and i definitely don't recommend it to anyone.

Good rooms, great beach, not so good breakfast

Hotel rooms were in very good condition, a few steps were all that were needed to get to a nice beach. Other beaches ( involving a drive) were better but this beach was more than adequate and safe ( with lifeguard). Beach sun bed hire was 5 euro which we found to be a bargain compared to established beaches ( charging 25 - 40 euro for 2 !!!). Major issue with hotel was the restaurant/ breakfast area. You sat and the food was brought out to you due to covid which is good, however breakfast order ( filled out by form the night before) was never correct...... running out of eggs/bacon.... wrong yogurts /juice etc etc. But major gripe was the 3 servers for breakfast, each had a different idea for wearing a mask..... one guy ( the shorter one) always wore the mask properly and was always polite. The other 2 guys were not as polite ( One moaned that he had to get us butter because we didn’t tick that option on the form yet wore his mask under his chin often) and the other guy wore his under his nose so ... 3 people with 3 different ideas as to how to wear a mask when serving. For this reason we skipped having dinner here. Summary is easy for this review..... Very good rooms ( we had 5th floor sea view) , restaurant staff need to take COVID seriously.

The hotel was close to a beach. Swimming pool was very good size and garden area very nice.Bedrooms basic, but plenty of storage space and clean. Nice bathroom, plenty of clean towels.
Did not like where hotel was situated, terrible bumpy road to get to hotel.
Evening meal food poor, and not warm. No restaurants near by within walking distance.Hotel needs updating to bring it up to 4 star standard.

The hotel is situated directly in front of the beach. Our room was spacious with beautiful views of the ocean. The restaurant had fantastic meals we ate there 3 nights and were not disappointed with any of our meals. Breakfast was also included and very nice too. The salted large 25 metre long pool was superb.
We hired motorbikes and explored other beaches close by. I can highly recommend this hotel with

Location was lovely but u must drive and rent a car .
Waitress were amazing , the reception staff didn't spoke too much English and wasn't the most helpful at check-in . They never told us the private beach was not there because of the weather storm they had .
Food was good .
Also bed are super hard and old , we asked for double sized bed and they dont have , all they got is 2 singles which they put together .

Very good hotel, close to beach

The Abamar gets mixed reviews, but our experience was very positive. We stayed in a junior suite which was spacious, comfortable, clean and modern. It had 2 balconies, one overlooking the beach and sea, jacuzzi, very comfortable sitting area and great king sized bed. The hotel has a large pool, which we didn't use because the beach is 2 minutes away down a flight of steps leading directly from the hotel patio. We had reserved sun beds as part of the room rate which were ours for our entire stay; the beach is clean, not too crowded, and very family friendly. The inevitable beach traders are polite and easily discouraged. The hotel beach bar is right next to the sea - very good coffee and drinks, and you can order lunch to be brought down if you're too lazy to climb back up to the hotel! Plenty of other options for eating and drinking along the beach, and lots of opportunities for water sports 500 meters away at the Forte Village.

Good value if you want to be on the beach

Had a lovely holiday at the Abamar hotel. The hotel is nothing special but it is clean and the views from the rooms are beautiful. We were on the fourth floor (park side) and loved the view of the mountains/trees. The view from the breakfast terrace is also very nice and we enjoyed walking/relaxing on the pretty beach. Negatives - shower is small, bed was not super comfortable. Pros - beach, view. 10 min drive from good restos in chia

Bad experience

Even though the hotel beach was great, the hotel condition and staff were terrible. To make a long story short, my wife and i were there on our honeymoon and experienced the below.

- Two single beds, when we sent down to the reception to check if we can get a king size bed, the old woman at the reception was rude and uncooperative.

- The mattresses and pillows were a thousand years old

- No safe, bin, or even an ashtray in the room

- Internet access only available in the lobby, which by the way has no air conditioning. Imagine checking your emails soaked in sweat at 30 degrees

- The room looked nothing like the one we booked online

- The road leading to the hotel is more of an off road trail

Perfect beach hotel

The hotel is smack bang on one of the best beaches I've ever been to. Staff is extremely helpful and go out of their way to help you in any way they can. Breakfast buffet provided us with a variety of fresh fruit, pastries, juices and for both my son and husband's delight - English breakfast tea!!!!!! Transportation to and from the hotel to the airport was arranged by the hotel. Everyday, we joined the Zumba party at the beach in the morning and had lunch at the beach bar. My 12-year old son loved snorkelling in the clear and warm sea water. Will definitely be back!

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, the room was sapcious. The views were absolutely stunning, even if you opt for a room without the sea view. Italian breakfast are famously small, but the hotel had pleanty to eat. Having a fridge in the room was great to save money on eating out and enjoying food on the balacony. The pool had sea water, which was a pleasent surprise. I would definetly go again!!!

The views of the sea are good, although the mature trees do block the vista, and would certainly be a nuisance if staying on lower floors. On the other side of the hotel, the views of the mountains are quite spectacular. A real escape!

Relaxing beach side holiday

Beautiful location surrounded by pungent pine trees yards from a well kept, clean sandy beach and blue ocean. Early June temperature was pleasant - not too hot. Sea view room well worth it. As outside school holiday and Summer high season hotel and beach not too busy. Swimming pool great size and as outlined in other reviews salty - but then so is the sea !
Local supermarket and cafe pizzeria short walking distance, and very friendly family run beach bar/restauarant 50 meters from hotel.
Staff very friendly and helpful, albeit some restaurant waiting staff a little officious. Breakfast fine, evening meal could be a little bland, but also ate at local pizzeria and Pula town.
Not a holiday for teeangers who want to party, but perfect for couples, and families with young children.
Generally prices in beach cafes, hotel, local supermarket and restauarants were reasonable.

Pleasant hotel for a beach holiday

Great for a relaxing October break in the sun. Room very clean, recently modernised. Large bed and wardrobes. Small tv and mini bar. Roomy balcony overlooking the sea though chairs on balcony basic and not terribly comfy. We were on 5th floor - would worry if I had small children with us as balcony not terribly high. Lovely shower and water always hot.
Being October there wasn't much to do in the hotel and very few guests (no other English guests). Shops 5 mins walk away all closed for the season so had a 15min walk along the road to a supermarket (closed for siesta every afternoon). sold everything needed. Only place to eat was hotel which we only did on 1st night as we'd arrived so late (expensive and basic - service fairly abrupt) so we used to get local shuttle bus for 1 euro to Pula where we found a few pavement cafes and restaurants and shops. Only problem is that last bus back was 19:45 so not able to go out for the evening. Other days we went to Cagliari for around 6.5 euros (hour journey) again no late bus back but more to do there. Otherwise we were happy to lie on hotel sunbeds on the beach or swim in sea or pool (very salty). Reception and bar staff helpful when we asked but didn't offer information unless we asked.

Mixed feelings, but I guess OK

The personnel at the front desk was nice. We got a nice room on the 5th floor, with nice views. The downside was that the restaurant wasn't \"really\" open due to a semi-big group, and the bars (poolside and beach) were closed (due to the reason, that late September is off season) - and close by was only one bar/restaurant open. Good thing about the off season is that the crown is absent...

Hotel un po’ datato nella struttura esterna, ma camere pulite e completamente rinnovate, vale la pena la camera vista mare specie ai piani più alti che gode di una vista meravigliosa. Colazione a buffet sia dolce sia salata ricca e completa, possibilità di spiaggia privata attrezzata adiacente prenotabile di giorno in giorno con posti ben distanziati e bar adiacente. Piscina ampia e di acqua salata. Necessaria l’automobile in quanto la struttura è collocata sul litorale in area residenziale a circa 15 minuti da auto da Pula. Consiglio vivamente per un soggiorno di relax.

During our stay at the Abamar Hotel in Sardinia, we experienced a mix of positives and drawbacks. The renovated rooms provided us with delightful mountain and forest views, although the common areas gave off a dated 1980s vibe, which was somewhat disappointing.

Wireless connectivity proved to be a significant challenge, primarily limited to the lobby area since the primary wireless access wasn't working at all on our first day. The breakfast experience fell short of our 4-star expectations, leaving us somewhat disappointed, and it felt rather like a hostel breakfast. The presence of single-use plastics and granulated coffee further added to this dissapointment.

On a positive note, the outdoor spaces exuded charm, adorned with lovely views and a nice patio. Regrettably, the seawater pool was disappointing due to its cleanliness issues. Nevertheless, this was offset by the hotel's beautiful beach.

Adding to our concerns, the elevator emitted a lingering cigarette smell and exhibited occasional erratic behavior, raising safety questions and causing discomfort.

In summary, our experience at Abamar Hotel was somewhat underwhelming. Improvements in wireless access, breakfast quality, and the addressing of issues like the outdated common areas and the elevator's condition are essential for elevating the overall guest experience.

Diese Unterkunft ist klar in die Jahre gekommen und kann vom Essen und den Zimmer her nicht mehr auf 4 Sterne Niveau mithalten, bestenfalls auf 3 Sterne, mehr klar nicht.

Wir waren zum Abschluss einer Sardinienrundreise zwei Nächte im Hotel. Die Lage direkt am Strand ist sehr schön. Allerdings gibt es im \"Ort\" keinerlei Möglichkeiten einzukaufen.
Das Frühstück war gut und ausreichend. Das Abenedessen war enttäuschend. Hier stimmt das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht.

Estancia correcta en un hotel acogedor. Personal muy amable. El hotel tiene mucho potencial pero parece anclado en los años 70. La piscina de agua salada es muy grande pero demasiado profunda. Tiene zona para niños para que naden tranquilos.
El acceso a la playa está muy bien y complementa muy bien los servicios del hotel.
Con una buena renovación de mobiliario y decoración podría quedar un auténtico 4* de gran nivel.

La posizione direttamente sul mare è il punto forte, bagni ristrutturati ma il resto dell'hotel è rimasto agli anni 80. Monitor per il pc al posto del televisore, letto con molle perforanti, zero insonorizzazione, certamente non è un quattro stelle vale 3 stelle solo per la posizione, dunque prezzi esagerati

Séjour juste convenable pour un 4 etoile... Qu'il ne mérite pas en terme de services.
Pas de wifi, chambre vielle et non insonorisées, pas de coffre fort, petit déjeuner juste satisfaisant, piscines non nettoyée la moitié du temps, sans distribution de serviette. Ce qui nous a decu cest qu'il nous ont demandé de payer la charge électrique de notre voiture hybride au chek out.... Une charge de 4h.

Points positifs ; la mer en descendant de l'hôtel et le coin calme.

La route qui mène à l hôtel est quasiment impraticable, la chaussée est très abîmée et endommage les voitures.
Chambre refaite à neuf, y compris la salle de bain avec une douche à l italienne tellement petite que l on inonde tout!
Quasiment pas de wifi dans la chambre
Attente trop longue au petit déjeuner pour les boissons chaudes (servies à table)
Hôtel au milieu de la pinède à 10km du centre avec ses restaurants ...

Struttura anni '80 a fianco del Forte Village immersa nella pineta con bellissima piscina con acqua di mare. Si accede alla spiaggia attraverso una scaletta sotto i pini e si arriva direttamente al bar. Noi siamo arrivati in un giorno con forte mareggiata e la spiaggia Era inagibile completamente sommersa da alghe e detriti portati dal mare. Nessuno si è premurato a pulire dando un senso di totale trascuratezza. Poco più in là le persone erano in spiaggia o per lo meno c'era chi cercava di ripulire. La camera al 5 piano vista mare era ben arredata e funzionale con balcone da cui godere una bella veduta. La cucina nella norma. Nel complesso si vede che l'hotel è stato ben progettato con spazi verdi e fiori
Andrebbe un po' riammodernato.

Per arrivare all'hotel si percorre viale Ondina, che non sono delle Ondine ma un vero \"maremoto \" con onde gigantesche. Consiglio: non andate con la Vs.auto rischiate di rompere le sospensioni...
La struttura, intesa come fabbricato dell'hotel è vecchia, ascensori senza luce; la ns. camera (una di quelle ristrutturate) i letti avevano le molle, praticamente si sono dimenticati di sostituirli dal 1970.
La colazione discreta e sufficiente.
Il personale delle camere è veramente professionale, gentile e premuroso nel soddisfare le richieste del cliente, camera sempre pulita e perfetta. Ripeto personale da grande hotel....
Qualche consiglio: trovate un finanziatore che ha voglio d'impegnarsi nel ristrutturare l'hotel e sicuramente diventerà ancora meglio del vicino Forte Village, in quanto la posizione e la spiaggia sono migliori rispetto al famoso Forte..

Un hotel difficile a trouver.Accueil froid et impersonnel.le telephone de la chambre n'a jamais fonctionne pendant les 5 jours de notre sejour.Pas de wifi dans la chambre...il faut aller dans le lobby. ..
Les photos du site présentent des chambres neuves et confortables. ..loin de la réalité. .
Buffet du petit dej peu attractif. ..
Points positifs situation dans une pinède surplombant une petite plage privee (accès par un escalier )

A szállás szűkös. A TV kisebb volt mint a laptopom monitorja. A szálloda medencéjében sós víz van. A szűkös, saját partszakaszon a nyugágyakért 10 €/fő/nap díjat számolnak fel, de annyi napernyő meg nincs, amennyi szállodai szoba! Az sehol nincs feltüntetve hogy 50 lépcsőn kell lemenni a partra ha fürödni akarsz a tengerben. 3 személyre egy szobai kulcsot adnak és ha szólni mersz érte, meg vannak sértődve. A fürdőszobai tusoló fix, hosszú hajúak ne akarjanak fürödni. Mindez drága árakkal négycsillagos hotelban. Igényeseknek nem ajánlom, máshol 3 csillagos hotelben többet kapsz a pénzedért.

Das Zimmer war sehr klein. Man fand nicht einmal Platz, den Koffer zu öffnen. Vom Kasten konnte man nur einen Teil benutzen, da die Tür des anderen Teiles vom Nachtkästchen blockiert war. Für ein 4 Stern Hotel eigentlich untragbar.
Man hat leider nicht die Möglichkeit, in der Nähe Abendessen zu gehen. Es bleibt nur das Hotelrestaurant.

A very convenient location in southern Cagliari

The reviews for that hotel are really mixed!...The first impression is that it’s location is closed to the beach and the southern Cagliari ,but the approach to hotel is quite problematic , the main road is under construction and the roots of the trees have lift up the road surface.Our check in was extremely welcomed by the gentle and very helpful and polite lady ( Mrs Cristina)in reception, who was very professional and always with a smile.Although,our check in was quite early in the hotel,due to our early flight,
our room was ready and clean.The room,renovated,was on the 6th floor with a great sea- view and nice balcony, quite comfortable ,nice temperature and a cozy bathroom.The double bed( although two joining beds)was comfortable.The only downside in the room was the WiFi was not working.The hotel was very clean, all dated furnished ,but with huge spaces even for the dining room or the bar area.The breakfast was average( for a 4* hotel),and at least could be served a little bit later and not up to 10:00pm( since everybody is on holidays.The area of the swimming pool was great and relaxing.A big issue was the direct access to the beach, that was quite nice and quiet,but with a surcharge of 5euros p.p.for the sun-bed and umbrella.The beach-bar could have more of a selection but.. oh well,since the personnel on the beach was very gentle and helpful, so we could order sg from the main bar of hotel.Great,overall,experience!MANY compliments for the GENTLE SMILING STAFF!Thanku

Ce n’est pas un 4 étoiles. La chambre a été rénovée mais reste basique. L’insonorisation laisse à désirer. Les meubles sont vieillots. Mais l’hotel Est spacieux, le jardin est magnifique et c’est très agréable de manger dehors. Dommage que les transats soient payant sur la plage.

Das Essen war gut bis sehr gut.

Das WiFi war miserabel. Nur im Empfangsbereich und in der Bar verfügbar, und manchmal in diesen Bereichen auch noch sehr schlecht.

This beach hotel has its marvellous plaja with bar and amenities for additional modest price. Its location is ideal for drivers and not bad for walkers (about 15 minuted along road to the nearest bus stops). Nice sea view from spacious balkony. Nice large room and bathroom with shower. Buffet breakfast at the restaurant of hotel. Lunch and dinner a la cart with local food and wine - very good. Coffe and drinks in the bar all day long. Recommend to taste local wines and Mirto! Gorgeous \"caribbean\" beach. Walk along it to ancient roman/phoenic sentiero to Chia in one direction & famous Forte Village in the other one. Sea is perfect for children also. Ancient Pula and Nora are about 40min drive. Local ARST buses were very helpful for me as a solo traveller without car. A lot of customers, though I stayed in October. Weather was very nice, even for swimming. Staff is very nice & helpful - at reception, restaurant (especially young lady there, who helps you to feel absolutely at home) & maids at the floor. Working elevator, swimming pool with sea water, etc. Recommended.

Hotel grazioso, situato sul mare

A due passi dal mare, collegato con una scalinata e con spiaggia privata (a pagamento).
L'hotel e' grazioso, sarebbe da sistemare e ristrutturare ma nel complesso e' ok.
Suggerirei di fornire animazione ai clienti od almeno organizzare qualcosa (negli 8 gg di soggiorno, una sera c'e' stata una sorta di piano bar, che ha avuto scarso successo)
Anche perche' le potenzialita' ci sono tutte. Due piscine con acqua salata, dove poter anche organizzare feste e party, magari anche la sera, animando di piu' le serate che nelle vicinanze offrono ben poco (noi siamo andati a Pula, al Chia village ed in qualche localino sulla spiaggia).Il personale e' molto cordiale e soprattutto alla reception, le signore ci han dato consigli, suggerimenti e consigliato anche dove mangiare il \"porceddu\". Noi ci siam trovati bene e con un po' di animazione in piu', torneremmo volentieri anche in futuro.

Ottimo soggiorno molto soddisfatti ci rivedremo

Abbiamo apprezzato cordialità e professionalità del servizio (molta cortesia, mai invadenza).
Spiaggia buona, anche se nei di torni ce ne sono di molto belle, vale la pena spendere almeno una giornata alla spiaggia hotel.
Hotel forse un po’ datato ma molto pulito, abbiamo soggiornato in camera al terzo piano che deve essere stato ristrutturato di recente.
Forse 4 stelle un po’ esagerato, ma il rapporto qualità /prezzo comunque ottimo! Ci ritorneremmo (e probabilmente anno prossimo lp ri-sceglieremo)). Colazione in terrazza (vista mare) varia abbondante e buona.
Insomma per noi vale la pena!!

Hotel 4 stelle con un passato glorioso

La struttura risulta al quanto vetusta! L'aria condizionata pur presente non funzionava neache a richiesta.Gli ascensori sono rumorosi e vecchi.
La strada di accesso presenta innumerevoli buche ed avvallamenti che costringono coloro che non hanno un fuori strada ad accedere a passo d'uomo per non rovinare l'auto. Il personale dell'albergo fa più del dovuto per mantenere efficiente la struttura ma è una battaglia impossibile.
Pulizia e cortesia ottimi.
Bella anche la location in mezzo alla pineta e vista sulla spiaggiia. Parco tenuto con cura.
