I use to live up in the big bear area but had not come back for about 15 years. I chose this place because it faced the water & price was so great I got to stay for 3 days. I stayed alone but I’ll be going back next week again with my husband. Maybe this time I’ll take the classes they offer. The whole unit was so clean & kept up. Location on the lake was great, great view of lake from outdoor patio. Showers were warm, but had to run water for a long time. Condo had all amenities for cooking in kitchen. Very comfortable. Hot tub outside was lovely! Would definitely stay again :)

The property is ideally located and well maintained. It is close to the Village, and far enough away to feel a sense of seclusion. There is an opportunity to refresh the interior of the property, but the rooms are well kept and very clean. Durign my time I did not partake in the hot tub or use the BBQ, but on my next visit, I will! Having the kitchen is convenient, especially when one feels snacky at night :)

Check in was fast and the staff was friendly. The location is great and the view we had was amazing! I loved having access to the lake. It was very relaxing. The only downside to our stay was the cleanliness. Not very good.

The lodge was very nice. Loved the location right on Big Bear Lake. Our room was very roomy, clean and comfortable. Good view of the lake. Only issue we had was with a late check in. Lodge staff was very apologetic. Expedia did make it right. Just take precautions if you will be arriving outside lobby hours. Otherwise loved our stay.

Great Price if you are on a budget, this is the spot. Very kid friendly! Excellent views from some rooms, others have constant view of the parking lot at no discount. The room dictates your experience IF you are physically limited otherwise enjoy the beautiful town and immediate area. Boulder Bay is nearby off of Big Bear Blvd (hwy 18). Confirm equipment is up on safety regulations. Blessings!

Staff was very rude and unhelpful. We got to the property early and I knew checking in would be iffy. One of the Housekeepers was talking to the girl who was checking me in and the girl reminded me that check in was at 5 she chimed in and said we just finished cleaning a bunch of rooms. I was not able to check in. I came back a couple hours later and there was another girl at the desk who rudely asked me if I got text message saying my room was ready. I let her know I didn’t and that I just wanted to check in again. No room available what a surprise. I come back 30 minutes later and my husband walks in before me and says I know check in isn’t until 5 so we are hanging out here in the lobby. The girl and guy at the desk immediately say what’s your name we have rooms ready. I walk in as he says our last name and the girl looks as me and says oh. Yeah your room wasn’t ready when I checked. Then she plays dumb and still makes us wait for a room. Terrible service!!

Great stay in Big Bear at Lagunitas Lodge. They were very helpful and friendly at the front office. The lodge has a game room with pool tables, an indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi and the lake was walking distance for fishing. I had a great stay. Thanks Lagunitas Lodge !

Great location right on the water but the property is very old and dirty. Wifi not good either. Front desk people were nice and friendly, housekeeping were quick to drop off supplies. I'm willing to pay more if they cleaned and upgraded this place.

It's an older lodge, so the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. Unfortunately we had some inconsiderate neighbors, and dealilng with the staff to address noise complaints was a bit of a battle. They were hesitant to act and resolve the issues, which was frustrating. If you stay here, don't expect your stay will be peaceful and quiet.

Learn the room types and make sure you get the room that you paid for. Lake View, Lake Shore should well be a view of the lake , or a room by the lake shore- I have a 360 view of the parking lot, but due to my terminal cancer, too weak to defend my rights from bait and switch bad business behavior. Who ever thought of punishing long-term, low-maintenance loyal guest? Greed. Yes, pay your bills, but for an extra $50? Honestly? So sad, compassion is out the window. Praise GOD for all good things and forgive the cold calculated people.

We stayed one night and overall it was a very nice place to stay. The property is right on the lake so the view was really beautiful and you can walk out onto the docks which is great. The condo isn’t too fancy or anything but it was spacious and clean and had what we wanted. Heads up their check in time is 5pm, which is later than I’ve experienced anywhere - we were able to get in earlier but you have to show up to the front desk and ask to do so. Good experience overall though.

The view of the lake was so satisfying and relaxing and the location was great. The amenities that were offered in this property was unbeatable. They provided everything we needed to have a comfortable stay. The only thing that needed to be changed were the kitchen towels were very old and had a pretty musty stench to them and the pool towels needed some updating and lastly the body wash was empty in one of the bathrooms. Other than that, we will be returning again the next time we visit Big Bear Lake.

Some staff are dishonest, I booked my room well in advance- LAKESIDE, I’m on a health retreat, calm view to reduce my stress- terminal cancer, yet moved to a 360 view of the parking lot in spite of being a loyal guest with low demand. I love the lodge, I did get good pricing on some of my days, I was here when they were empty, endured construction and I was moved around every few days until they unloaded the “burden” of an old lady trying to have a serene send off…

The location of our unit was excellent, facing the lake. However, there was a chain smoker staying in the unit next to ours. We could not sit on the patio or open our sliding doors while he was outside smoking. There should be a strict \"no smoking\" policy even on patios. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Lagonita Lodge. It is next to the lake and a 20 min walk to the Village.

I loved the Lagonita Lodge. The location was great, right by the lake. Rooms were clean and quiet. The room was a complete apartment with all the amenities. I just wished the check out on the weekends was at 12 noon like the other days, especially since the rate is higher in the weekends.

The cabin and setting were lovely, and our first day was very pleasant. Unfortunately, the next morning was disrupted by extremely loud construction and strong fumes, which was especially difficult since we came for fresh mountain air to help with asthma. The front desk was not very helpful at first and simply pointed to a small sign about construction, even though we booked through Expedia and had no prior warning. Only after several guests complained were we offered another cabin.

We chose to spend the day outdoors until the noise stopped at 5 p.m. Overall, it’s a nice facility, and I would have rated it a 10 if the staff had been more honest, empathetic, and accommodating about the construction situation.

Building 1, is unsanitary. My patio slider did not even lock, if management is unaware, then there is a breakdown in communication for usually obvious reasons. Beware of room condition, construction onsite that you get no relief from. Old plumbing that stinks and unreliable hot water, unhealthy for seniors. Management is all about profit and they lie.

The price during off season for a whole nice apartment style room (rooms) overlooking the lake was insane!!! Bedroom kitchen bathroom and living room and a fire place and so cheap. The property also has a lot of amenities like movies, games, spas, and a pool. Its the best place ive stayed for the value ever.

Our family had separate rooms in two separate buildings. In mid-afternoon, we needed to give the baby a bath and there was no hot water in either of the buildings. We were told that one of the buildings had a small water heater, and that the other had huge water heaterS, but they could not explain why both were out at the same time. Despite that I am still giving this a 4 star rating. The entire staff works really hard to make things good, which can be hard with older places.

We've stayed here several times and at times for more than a week. The rooms are nice size and it's a great location. My pet peeve is that the dispensers in the shower (for shampoo ect) are always empty. Otherwise, it is a good value.

The rooms are pretty dated and couch bed could use a new mattress also the main bedroom had a full size bed ,very small also there was a power outage and we had no heat the last night a small compensation would be appreciated, we have been staying there for year's also no elevator to our 2nd story room ,which gets exhausting in high altitude

The heater was broken. Despite the maintenance guy trying several times, heater didn’t work. Ir was really cold in the night.
The room was poorly maintained. I asked for a room change but they said it’s not possible. Front desk said I will get a discount but contact Expedia to get it.
