Das Hotel ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und bietet ein gutes Frühstück in einem sehr schönen Raum. Unser Standardzimmer war sehr klein und unter dem Dach und meines Erachtens dem Preis nicht angemessen. Außerdem lag es direkt neben dem Auzug, der beim Anfahren und Halten einen mörderischen Krach produziert, sodass wir davon geweckt wurden. So sind wir gegen Aufpreis in ein deutlich größeres Zimmer im hinteren Gebäude umgezogen. Dies war ein schöner Raum, aber leider waren auch hier die Betten hart.

Beautiful historic building in great condition. The hotel manager called us ahead of time to check on our ETA, and provided us with instructions for our check in after hours. The hotel has its own parking area within own premises. The room was very nice, clean and with a roomy bathroom. The breakfast was served in an expansive glass room, and there was a good selection of quality food.

I didn't feel safe getting into & out of the combined bath/shower. The access was restricted by a 45 degree angled roof. I had a fear of slipping, especially getting out of the bath. Also the beautifully tiled floor is slippy if water touches it. This was my only problem.

Hotel Prinzenpalais, Bad Doberan
This really is a gem of a hotel situated in Bad Doberan in north Germany. I only stayed for one night but wished I had booked for longer. The village itself is pleasant and quiet so is a perfect place to relax. I went to travel on Der Molli, a 3ft narrow guage steam railway that runs through the main street and both the railway and the hotel are highly recommended.

Super flot hotel inde som ude, værelset var stort lækkert og lyst, var også meget begejstret for den “honesty bar” som lå i hovedebygningen. Sød og familiær personale det var dejligt med meget personlig service. Det eneste som jeg syndes manglede var muligheden for en kop kaffe eller te om aftenen. Morgenmaden var super lækker og ikke helt identiske hver morgen, og blev serveret i det skønneste lokale med store vinduer og lysekroner. Hotellet er helt klart et genbesøge hver.

Unser Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war eine kleine Überraschung. Obwohl wir das kleinste Zimmer hatten und dies auch direkt an der Rezeption erwähnt wurde, war es gut ausgestattet: ein bequemes Bett, ein Fernseher, ein Sessel, eine Minibar (zwar leer, aber praktisch, da ein Supermarkt in der Nähe ist) und ein sehr schönes Bad mit Dusche. Besonders angenehm war die schnelle Heizung im Zimmer und der effiziente Heizkörper im Bad, gerade bei kälterem Wetter.
Ein kleines Manko war der Fahrstuhl neben dem Zimmer, den man kaum hörte und der uns persönlich nicht störte.
Eine positive Überraschung war die Selbstbedienungs-Bar im Eingangsbereich. Nach dem Prinzip der Vertrauensbasis konnte man sich selbst bedienen und seine Konsumationen notieren, die später abgerechnet wurden. Auch wenn wir dieses Angebot nicht genutzt haben, fanden wir das Konzept sehr interessant und außergewöhnlich.
Das Frühstück war hervorragend: Trotz der überschaubaren Größe des Buffets bot es eine große Auswahl, die mehr als in manchen anderen Hotels zu finden war, und war von hoher Qualität.
Das Personal besticht durch seinen norddeutschen Charme, ist äußerst freundlich und aufmerksam. Auf Sonderwünsche wurde prompt eingegangen, und der Service war wirklich ausgezeichnet.
Ein Verbesserungsvorschlag: Verdunklungsvorhänge im Zimmer wären eine tolle Ergänzung.

ABZOCKE!!!!! Wir haben eine Suite, lt. Bild auf verschiedenen Homepages, gebucht und bezahlt. Bekommen haben wir ein Zimmer in Suite-Mindestgröße mit Ausstattung wie in einem normalen DZ. Auf Nachfrage, verkaufte uns der Herr an der Rezeption für dumm. Auch auf 2. Nachfrage kam von der Geschäftsleitung kein Kommentar. Die besondere Aussicht aus unserem Zimmer war auf die Mülltonnen und man konnte morgens mitverfolgen, wie der Hausmeister seiner Arbeit nachging.
Das Frühstück war okay. Allerdings lag die Wurst mehrere Stunden in der Vitrine und wurde gelegentlich auch von Fliegen genascht.

Flot hotel, men da vi var der udenfor sæsonen var der ikke så meget betjening. Vi ankom ca 18.20 og da receptionen lukkede kl 18 var vi nær ikke kommet ind. Da vi ringede til et tlf.nr der stod på reservationen blev vi hjulpet med kode til en nøgleboks på bagsiden af hotellet. Derefter gik det fint.

Ebenso die Rezeption meistens tagsüber. In beiden Fällen solle man sich im Restaurant (1 Etage tiefer) melden; nur da war meistens erst jemand nach längerem Suchen zu finden. Wir wollten im Restaurant zur üblichen Abenzeit essen: über 15 min. war keine Serviceperson anwesend, der wir unsere Bestellung aufgeben konnten.

Hotel in guter Lage. Möbel ambiente im Zimmer und der Rezeption vermittelt die Eleganz früherer Zeit. Strassenverkehrsführung wegen Bauarbeiten zur Zeit etwas problematisch. Service in Ordnung, Frühstück vielfältig und gut in grossem lichtdurchflutetem Raum, sehr sauber geführtes Haus. Personal freundlich und flink. Insgesamt können wir es ohne Einschränkung empfehlen.
