I didn't enjoy sleeping on the hard plastic wrapped bed. Very sterile and stripped down. I also hated that there was no hot water kettle or coffee maker in the room. It was a pain having to walk to the lobby for hot water. The breakfast was good though

This hotel was where we stayed the night before our 6am flight home, so we were mainly there for proximity to the airport. It's still 16 minutes drive from the airport but the closest I could find. The staff were really helpful in lining up the shuttle to/from the airport, but the shuttle is pretty expensive, at 55 Euros at 4:30am. (35 Euros during the day.)

The room was clean and we ate both lunch and dinner in the hotel dining room. The food is reasonably priced and decent.

Breakfast was included in our room but since we left at 4:30am, they provided us with a packed breakfast to take with us.

My only wish was that there had been a way to walk out the back of the hotel down to the beach. I gather that it may be less safe to walk on the beach at night, but we would have gone down there during the afternoon if we'd been able to get through there.

If you book from a third party site, make sure they give you the right type of room. Breakfast options were limited. Air conditioning only went down to 22 degrees (hardly cooled the room). Room had tatty wallpaper in places. Too noisy to sit out and enjoy the balcony. The staff were very pleasant and polite. We will not be booking here again.

I returned to the Saracen for the second time with my family.
I strongly recommend for family with kids, great fun with the animator team both on the beach with music, exercises and in the evening with dancs and entertainment.
The food was different and lots of variety however often it was not very warm and not much fresh fruits in the morning.

The hotel is in good location, but needs modernization. Most of the staff were very nice and made our stay at hotel but more comfortable. As my wife is a vegan she found it very difficult to get vegan food. More needs to be done in this area. The staff tried their best to help us but the language barrier made it a challenge.
One of the reason we chose Saracens hotel is that on the website, we were lead to believe we would have use the swimming pool, spa facilities , sauna, jacuzzi. But nothing was open.

The property was very nice and clean, however, we were disappointed as none of the pools were open, we were looking forward to using the pools, the availability of food nearby wasn’t that great. There were not many restaurants in the hotel or near the hotel. Most pizzerias were closed or under construction.

If you want a quiet holiday, this is not for you! Lots of large groups of holiday makers, loud music at both sides of the site. No options for eating unless you opt for full board (only one bar snack available, toasted sandwich) and limited bar options (the bar near reception closes at 5pm). But staff are helpful and welcoming, and premises kept very clean.

It is an okay hotel, definitely not 4 star as claimed. The room we were given was fairly basic, the furniture were old and out-dated, and needs upgrading. There was no kettle or any facility to have tea/coffee in the room. Beds were really hard and creaking, but we had two double beds in our room instead of one double bed, maybe suitable for family. Bathroom was okay, the cistern was constantly leaking, and the shower head had probably been there for ages, as we can see black discoloration, which could be harbouring Legionella, and can cause serious infection. Rooms were cleaned every day, fresh towels supplied. The pools were dirty and over crowded. Beach towels costs 2.50 Euro. One of my main complaints is that the drinking water supply was very limited, particularly in that hot weather it is important to drink plenty to avoid dehydration. Water was only available in the dinning area, with restricted access. The staff did not allow to fill up the water bottle. What a shame! Water is a basic human need and the hotel does not seem to care. Food was good, but became a bit repetitive, which is expected. Local white and red wines were for free, they were okay. The best part was the private beach, which was well staffed and the water was clean. We had a designated sun lounger so there was no hassle. The nearest train station was only 10 mins walk, and have easy train access to Palermo central. We used a taxi service of the hotel's contact, which was really expensive.

We stayed here for one night. It’s a very large resort hotel so we didn’t do much since we were passing though in between other destinations and plans. The pool was basic and the large one was closed for some reason when I tried to take my kids. I did not go to the beach which looked nice. The biggest bummer was their buffet dinner (30 euro per adult). It was not good at all. Food did not seem fresh and reminded me of cafeteria food. The rooms were clean and comfortable though. Very loud at night with music.

Uncomfortable Budget Hotel Claiming 4 Stars

My gripe with this hotel is that it has a lot of potential to be a nice resort—as it’s facing one of the nicest beaches I’ve ever been to—but it lies about being a 4 star hotel. 4-star hotels, at a minimum, typically have room service, vending machines for after-hours food, and if not, some other form of late night food option. Saracen Sands Hotels offers NO OPTIONS for food after 10pm, so if you get there late and you don’t bring groceries or food with you, you will have a tough time eating.

Another pet peeve of mine is that the hotel is stingy with how cold they let your room get. It can’t be colder than 22 degrees Celsius. Most hotels allow up to 18. We were sweating for part of the night and the staff refused to override the code and bring down the temperature. I would’ve gladly paid more money for a cooler room.

Long story short, when you arrive at the hotel, it looks nice. Sort of like a Hilton. But then you realize almost everything is self-serve (you even need to go to the hotel front-desk to get pool towels because they don’t have them available at the pools or beach), the rooms are uncomfortable and let lots of noise through, and it’s hard to find food after 10pm.

Everything was great, up until we needed a taxi to the train station. The desk lady just kind of pointed the right outside and said you can catch a taxi over there. But the night before, the other lady at the desk said it would be no problem to call you a taxi. So there you go. Then the taxi guy I got us to the train station gouged us around $40.00

Firstly the good
- decent sized room for four

Now the bad
- absolutely everything else
April is out of season so the area is dead… there’s no water in the pool, you can’t use the beach access.
The hotel is a conference hotel and in no way family friendly. It was really noisy all evening and then we were woken by weights smashing around in the gym next door. I got up and went for a run asking the gentleman to ease up as my kids were trying to sleep, came back from a run and tried to use the gym which was locked with the same guy in. Asked at reception and the rude night guy said it doesn’t open until 8am… this was pretty funny as we both looked over and saw a bloke using it!
Luckily the day guy took potty when I asked to reduce my stay to one night.
My partner said she rates it the worst hotel she had ever stayed in… I mean I would go that far but I wouldn’t stay again. Went to Palermo and had a better experience

Does what it says on the tin!

It is what it says it is - a conference hotel. We stayed there one night because it is convenient (10 min drive) to Palermo airport but it was completely rammed with conference goers. The hotel reception and service staff simply could not cope with the volume. Bedroom was an odd layout and very plasticky but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Located next to a nice looking beach but we felt this was more a transitory stop than a longer term destination. Couple of nice restaurants nearby.

The prop was not well maintained. Inside it was clean but not welcoming. The gardens and exterior of the building was run down. Bars and dining was limited. Staff in the pizzeria was very friendly and the pizza was good. Unfortunately the atmosphere at the hotel was cold. Nice beach, don’t try to be there at sunset, you get locked out.

The property is lovely, but the food is horrible, our room air condition didn't work well, and we notified the front desk, but nothing was done. Our room smelled like something died in the vents also complained and nothing was done.

Great only for families, not couples.
wasn't able to sleep due to all the kids running wild without supervision.

I would not recommend to anyone.

What a great hotel!! The staff is excellent and so helpful, from the staff at the reception desk to the servers at the buffet. It is a fun and friendly atmosphere of large and small groups. The decor is eclectic with a strong sense of design. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Beautiful views of the Tyrrhenian Sea.

Delivered a wonderful service

I have to say I have seldom felt this comfortable and welcome when abroad.
The staff were absolutely brilliant and that started when we walked into reception and continued till we drove out to the airport.
I am gluten intolerant once I told staff this they were amazing. Every meal I was taken around the buffet and told what I could and couldn’t eat. Gluten free bread was on my table when I arrived and if I decided on a pasta option gluten free pasta was prepared with ten minutes. We are retired and this trip was to celebrate my wife’s significant birthday. I asked if they could make cake, not a problem it was delicious as well as being gluten free, the warmth of the staff was great.
Entertainment was shall we say dynamic? Every night a guy and/or a lady turned up with speakers and computers and depending who was sitting around determined how much fun it was, most nights it was enjoyable.
The pools were roped off, it was April, I dipped my toe in and was glad they were. There was though plenty of pool furniture available for use.
I don’t speak much Italian, Reception and some restaurant staff spoke good English, couple that with a translate app we had no real problems communicating in or out of the hotel and even made friends with a family from Milan who spoke little English.
To sum up a complete success and wouldn’t hesitate to return

The hotel is a bit older but we got the impression a renovation is started. The bathroom needs also some renovation as the shower made the whole bathroom wet. Breakfast was simpel but okay. In the evening there is life entertainment and as you can hear even your neighbours when they spoke loud, you certainly heared the music of this entertainment.
But overall the service was super and we slept good!

This was the worst hotel I ever booked. The service was horrible, staff had attitudes, and they lied about my check in time and caused me to wait a couple hours after I originally checked in. The toilet was broken, No AC, and no TV worked. They did nothing to help and I checked out asap and still got stuck paying for 1 night. I will never book here again or suggest anyone to book here.

Great location but rooms noisy

We stayed full board in October (off season) and during COVID-19. The entrance and ground floor look to have been recently revamped. The included lunch and evening meal were excellent and the house wines had great flavours. Breakfast could have been better.

The COVID Safety measures were not the greatest as masses of people in groups before meals and lots of people refilling disposable water bottles at the water dispenser.

The out door pools were not clean or heated.
No indoor pools.
The sandy beach was brilliant with great waves for surfing.
The rooms had a good layout.

With thin walls hence noisy at night time.

Exterior walls could do with being repainted.

The rooms haven’t been maintained or updated in years. Everything was broken, water poured from the bottom of the sink, the shutter to the non existence balcony was broken and wouldn’t go up, resulting in a very blacked out room, a screw stuck out from the tiled floor, the beds were lumpy, the air conditioning was so loud it kept us awake...certainly no 4star hotel!

The hotel was very clean and the staff were all very helpful. Breakfast was complimentary and tasted well. Dinner was provided at a surcharge and it was very convenient to not have to leave the property to eat dinner. The property is huge and has many activities but the location of the property is very isolated. I highly recommend to visit only in peak season as it can feel like a bit of a ghost town in the off-peak season.

Looks good surface level but has literally been one of the worst hotels Ive stayed at from a service level.

1. Awful smell in the rooms (made me sick). Smell comes from the toilet. tip: get your cleaners to use bleach

2. No wifi in rooms. To get wifi you need to come to the common areas (it's 2018!!!!! Invest in a wifi network)

3. Newly renovated bathrooms but the handle comes off?? Would have been trapped inside the bathroom if I had shut the door completly

4. For a large resort, outside of usual meal hours there is no where on the premises to get a meal (arrived all the way from Australia at 4.30pm at the hotel and had till wait till 8pm for the restaurant to open to get a meal). Sorry that's not entirely fair they do serve packet chips and ice cream in that time...

5. When they do open the large buffet restaurant for meals it's the worst buffet I have EVER experienced! Food is terrible, think freezer vegetables and mass produced meals.

6. Breakfast comes with the room and was equally terrible. Good luck if ur trying to eat somewhat healthily too. Buffet closes at 10am This was all the food I could get at 9.15am (see below)

Basic premise is Im only here for one night but don't understand how you can fail at so many things.... Never ever staying here again!!!! Don't let the resort style nature fool you this place should be avoided!!!

The hotel was nice and close to the beach which was lovely however, expedia rates the hotel 4* when we got there it was sign posted 3*. The hotel was a large complex and the views when your outside including the pools and beach was lovely. We was bed and breakfast but one day we had lunch in the hotel which was €18. Outside the hotel a minute walk was a cute little bar and restaurant which was much tastier and cheaper so we would recommend taking a strole to eat there are 4 restaurants all very close. The airport is online ten or fiveteen minutes drive away which is very handy if you arent keen on a long trasnfer or visiting Sicily for a short time. We requested 2 single beds and a double bed but got two double beds with a very small 'balcony' with a view of a broken roof.

Not a relaxing location

The hotel is advertised as a relaxing location. This is far from reality. There were over 400 people at the hotel mostly families with kids out of control. The noise level is constantly loud whether you are eating or hanging around at the pool or beach. The resort provides you with lounge chairs and sun umbrellas but no towels. We had to purchase towels. The wifi is non existant. The food is not the best I had in Sicily. The quality of the ingredients are not what you would expect from that region. Also the cleanliness was not very good. Lots of hair on the floor in the washroom. I will definitely return to Sicily but not to this hotel.

Tough to rate this harshly for just one night, but the experience was just very \"meh\". It was very difficult for us to find the entrance, even with google maps. There was a loud party going on at the hotel that went late into the night, and the bass rattled the old windows. The pools and views and proximity to the beach are great, and the staff very nice.

The rooms themselves were not that comfortable and felt outdated, but they were fine for what we needed for that night.

Rigtigt fin hotel og venlige personale ( dog engelsk er de hvertfald ikke så gode til ) Vil fremhæve især Martini fra receptionen og Maria fra restauranten . Morgenmad/frokost/aftensmad var meget af det samme generalt . Hvis man ikke kan li maden bl.a. fordi det er det samme så kan man købe mad i restauranten som tilhøre hotellet . De laver god pizza der 👍. Ellers var det en god oplevelse generalt 😎

Albergo datato nella struttura, che ora richiederebbe una bella manutenzione, ma sicuramente molto comodo, accogliente e grande. Spiaggia privata ben organizzata. Buono il buffet e colazione abbondante e varia. Ci si può ritornare sicuramente.

Ikke børnevenligt og dårligt til prisen!

Vi havde booket dem ud fra det faktum, at de havde pool og børnepool, samt en legeplads.

Poolen var helt lukket, børnebassin var ikke rengjort og legepladsen var halvt nedlagt og delvis i stykker, og slet ikke sikker.

Hver aften havde de hyret en sanger til at stå midt i deres gang, og det larmede forfærdeligt, da det hele var fliser, så folk lukkede branddøren for at skærme af for lyden. Der var ligeledes højlydt fest på hotellet om aftenen, som også støjede.

Service i receptionen var dårlig og uhøvlig, og værelset var kun gjort delvist rent. Vi tjekkede ud 5 nætter før planlagt, da det slet ikke levede op til vores forventning til 4 stjerner.

Paid for a room facing sea, got a room with an admittedly good side view. No hot water in the morning so had to skip the shower and shave. Corridors funnel noise in to the room due to tiles on the floor. School tours book this hotel but the staff try to segregate them. In summary it was OK but I would have booked elsewhere had I known in advance.

Mange faciliteter

Hotellet er stort, hvorved der også er mange udmærkede faciliteter, hvilket vi dog (desværre) ikke havde tid til at benytte os af. Størrelsen gjorde også, at der var en ualmindelig stor morgenbuffet.

Positiv: Ich habe ein Zimmer mit Balkon und renoviertem Bad bekommen, da ich vorher eine Mail geschrieben habe und freundlich danach fragte. Normalerweise kostet dies 120€ extra. Ich hatte Frühstück, Lunch und Abendessen und habe wirklich immer etwas gefunden. Innerhalb der Woche gab es sogar frisch gepressten Orangensaft beim Frühstück. Wasser und Wein waren ebenfalls inklusive. Der Privatstrand ist toll und die Liegen dort sind kostenfrei.

Negativ: Außer an der Rezeption sprach niemand des Personals englisch. Mitarbeiter wirkten lustlos und unmotiviert. Eine Massage konnte ich nicht buchen, da nie jemand vor Ort war. (telefonisch wäre ich vielleicht nicht verstanden worden). In der Umgebung gibt es eine Zugstation, die 25 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt ist. Ansonsten gibt es keine Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in direkter Umgebung. Öffentlicher Strand recht schmutzig. Laute Musik vom Hotel aus fast jeden Tag zu hören von daher schwierig einzuschlafen.

Ci siamo trovati bene camere spaziose e pulite la spiaggia è a 5 minuti e ombrellone e sdraio sono compresi il mare è fantastico pulito, ci sono anche le piscine ma con il mare spettacolare mai usate. Il mangiare è abbondante la qualità media ma ci ritornerei

Splendida struttura sul mare sicuramente da perfezionare essendo molto grande ma nel complesso è molto ben organizzata e curata..quindi grazie al personale di chi lavora dietro la struttura ed un grazie particolare anche all’animazione che ci ha permesso di intrattenere i nostri giorni. Flot beach front placering men hotel virker noget nedslidt, delvist istandsat indendørs. Akustik forfærdelig i både restaurant, gangarealer samt værelser pga anvendelse af kun hårde sten-, plastik- og metalmaterialer. Stolene på værelset var to plastik terrassestole.
Morgenmaden forfærdelig med ene præ-fabrikerede fødevarer…
