Perfect in every way

Property has everything including being convenient to Palermo airport. Excellent breakfast included. Helpful staff. All the amenities. Short walk to wonderful beach. Or just sit on terrace having drinks and watch sunset. Free parking. Great way to start or finish trip. More like villas. Ping Pong. Gorgeous pool. But not overrun with kids. Great place to dine if you don't wish to go out.

It's one of those resorts where you get a wrist band and its it's mostly inclusive- not my style many older folk doing yoga and Italian cooking lessons, on the beach but, for me very boring.

It has a great spa with reasonable prices; there aren't dining options except for the dining room or limited bar menu. The bartenders were welcoming and helpful. The rooms need updating. I did find some dust under the bed when something I had dropped under it. The dining room has set hours. Some at the front desk were friendlier than others. This hotel advertises English speakers but some have limited English. This hotel has beautiful public areas. My room had a balcony with a great view. They have a group of young people who remind me of cruise ship activity directors. Beautiful views and very safe hotel grounds.

What we liked: close to the airport, adjacent to a beach, easy parking, good breakfast.

Check- in: easy and prompt.

What we did not like: a/c in the room did not do its job. We stayed a Friday night there and there is a night club near the hotel. The rooms were not sound proof so we could hear the loud music to very late in the night ( not ideal if you are trying to wake up early for a flight) .

Indifferent: staff is professional but impersonal. Overall a good hotel for the arrival day or departure from Palermo but I would not recommend for longer stays.

The website says they have airport shuttle and that was one of the reasons we stayed there. But in reality they only arrange for a taxi ride between 30 to 40 euros.
There is no food options in the area and their buffet is 25 euros per person
The room seems that has never been renovated since 1960’.
When we mentioned that the air conditioning was not working we were told it was just a ventilation system.
I would never Stay there again, big mistake to spend our last night of the trip there

Great hotel with a private beach

We stayed for a week at the Florio Park hotel. The hotel staff were very nice, the girls at the reception spoke English very well, some of them also spoke french (as did the waiting staff in the dining hall). We opted for breakfast in the morning which had a great selection( fresh fruit, pastries, eggs, bacon, natural yogurt etc.). The rooms were really clean, the girls cleaning the room were so friendly and polite. Our room had a balcony with a sea view. There were classes on everyday day (yoga, aerobics etc) at the pool area.Lifeguards at the pool, lifeguards at the beach which made us feel safe. We will definitely come back.

There are so many more lovely places that are far more bang for your buck. This place is large, uninviting, food was very very average to poor and overpriced. Rooms are fairly run-down. The kind of place where everything costs additional (internet for example) and overall isn't worth it. Reserved for those that are older perhaps... certainly not for the under sixty crowd.

The location was steps to private beach (with umbrella and chairs), pool, they have a restaurant onsite that has wonderful breakfast!
Right outside hotel is a couple restaurants. It is a one mile walk to \"the square\" with shopping and restaurants.
Everything was clean and nice.

Pleasant hotel, fine as a stand-alone vacation.

I admit to selecting the hotel as convenient overnight near Palermo's airport. This was a mistake, as I would like to have taken more time. Yes, it is close to the airport (and in fact would make a good \"planespotters\" vacation combined with the seaside). The package I reserved on Travelocity included dinner and breakfast, so surprisingly economical. The pool was lovely, the ocean views nice. The views the opposite direction, to the imposing mountains, was equally beautiful, especially at sunset. I didn't see a direct access to the beach (maybe I missed it), but a nearby beachfront for the town of Cinisi was within an easy walk. The room was nicely appointed and very comfortable, and quiet (mine was in a separate building beyond the pool). Dinner was a buffet, with a large selection. It was... fine. Not the best I'd had in Palermo, but satisfying nevertheless.

The hotel resort appears to cater to package tours, and the clientele during my stay was largely French, which included a French-Italian karaoke/dancce event. Not what I expected to see in Sicily, but fun anyhow.

The room was outdated and had no carpeting. Beds were small and not comfortable. AC did not work adequately. The shower head was broken. There was no elevator to move suitcases. The hotel had a spa, but there was no fitness center contrary to what is described.

Great English speaking hotel with airport transpor

This hotel works well with Americans. Staff was in contact before our trip to answer questions we had about getting transportation to the Palermo Airport at 6 AM. They arranged the taxi pick up for us and everything worked out wonderfully.

One of the worst Hotels I have been

One of the worst stays ever! First of all, the air condition was not operational, or maybe be it was just giving noise and nothing else, once I informed the front desk about the issue, they sent a technician to fix it, he said few things in Italian and left, no fix and the temperature felt like 35 degrees! Also the room had a very bad smell, the furniture so tired and out of date. After complaining again to the front-desk, I was offered another room, this time with operational AC, but, I almost lost my sleep due to noise coming from the next room, I was able to hear almost everything, no soundproof at all. Also, i tried the diner in the restaurant; the food was not tasty and hardly managed to finish the pasta, which was over boiled! Stay away from this hotel, it's a waste of money, and not good for relaxation or rest.

Pleasantly Surprised

We were looking for something close to the Airport as we had an early flight. Upon arriving at the hotel we were greatly surprised at how upscale it was. For the price we paid we expected much less. The restaurant was fantastic and the view of the beach and sunset were beautiful. I would highly recommend this hotel if you want something very clean, refined and close to the airport.

Hotel close to Palermo airport

French travel group took over the pool at one point playing extremely loud music. Even when the group session ended their rep left the music playing. Selfish and insensitive to other hotel guests.
Only a fixed price buffet dinner was available during our stay.

This is a family style property with excellent personal service even for the solo traveller. The management and desk clerks learn your name and preferences and remember you even one year later! This property is classic as it sits atop an ocean front bluff overlooking the Med. The gardens trailing to the private beach are enchanting. The beach boy/lifeguard service is attentive and anticipatory. The spa is second to none. The services are the ultimate of professional, custom, and leading edge. A refreshing respite from the sun.

My only complaint was that our room was above the bar area and loud music every night until midnight was annoying. On the first night the staff told me it was a one off but it happened every night. I asked to move rooms but the hotel was full.

Nice hotel on the Sea and near the airport.

Very close to the airport!--convenient for late night arrival or early departure. Right on the sea shore--nice views and grounds, but significant airplane noise, particularly during takeoffs, which start pretty early in the morning. Good breakfast buffet. WiFi in the lobby area.

Hotel near the airport.

The hotel is large with a nice pool but does not have direct access to the beach. Our room was very warm and had little or no AC. The bathroom was tiny and not laid out very well. This hotel is not walking distance to any restaurants or attractions. The beach is a 20 min hike to get to. The buffet food serve at the hotel is below par and we could not recomend it.

Terrible customer service

Starting with positives, the hotel looks as though it has good facilities, it was raining but there were tennis courts etc. There was also a rather pricey spa available.

We had paid ahead of time on expedia, and as we had booked 2 rooms, and paid together, they only gave us one card for the bar, which was inconvenient with 2 couples staying. They were brusque, rude, and clearly wanted to deal with us quickly to get us out of the way on check in.

Dinner was a buffet, with no food available for vegetarians (me), and cost 35 euros for a ticket for this meal. This is totally unacceptable in my opinion, as the best they could offer me was a plate of salad. We ended up going outside the hotel.

The wireless was very expensive and only worked in the lobby. We needed to print out our tickets, we asked 6 (SIX!!!) times at reception, and were told that they were too busy, with 3 staff at an empty desk! Eventually, at 11pm, we said we would pay for the prints, and then they grudgingly printed them, (I don’t think they did charge us for this in the end).

Other niggles… the beach is NOT private as advertised, instead they have their own gate to a public beach. It seemed nice, except when we tried to access the beach, it was locked.

This is a package holiday hotel, and it’s clear once they have their numbers in they don’t really care about keeping up any standard of service. I have stayed in far superior and cheaper 4 star hotels in Sicily. The customer service here is appalling.

Great if you don't want to leave the complex

Great hotel if you do not want to leave the complex. The hotel has been built in a very run down area and you do get an uneasy feeling when you arrive. There are electric gates, a huge wall surrounding and security guards. There are no facilities outside of the hotel, not good if you like eating with the locals. There is a beach below the hotel which looked quite pleasant but very messy, the locals don't take their rubbish home at the end of the day.

Disappointing Florio Park room

Great location for flights out of Palermo. Super swimming pools, nice bar. Did not eat buffet dinner or breakfast as several coach tours there and dining room lacked atmosphere. Ate around corner at great pizzeria. Room comfortable enough and bathroom large and efficient but air conditioning did not work - roof outside window made it impossible to leave windows open, thus sweltering. Television also did not work at all and shower head broken. It was too late at night to start requesting another room but it made the stay rather miserable. I had to leave at 0700 so did not spend much time in the room but since the major facilities in the room (AC, TV, Shower) did not work then I feel they do not take care of the rooms, although the public rooms ok.

Expensive without benefits

We stayed at the Florio Park overnight because it appeared to be close to the airport. There is no shuttle to the airport and the 10 min taxi ride costs at least 30 euro each way. In addition, we wanted to use the sauna and were told it was only available if we purchased an expensive spa package. The front desk was unwilling to help us find a solution to this problem. If you stay in or near Terrasini, we would recommend Ristorante Tartaruga, which has a view of the water, good food and excellent service.

Hotel from Hell

My husband and I holidayed in Italy for 8 days before flying to Sicily for a further 5 days.

We stayed in the Florio Hotel, after seeing a glowing description on their website describing the hotel as 4* etc.,

On arrival at the hotel we were rushed through registration and given a key to our room which was outside the main building and up a very steep stairway. We were never asked if we needed assistance with our luggage and this would certainly proof difficult for an elderly person or a female(s). It was also very dangerous trying to navigate luggage up those steps. On reaching the long corridor to our room the smell was horrendous and we couldnt make out what it was from, whether it was dampness or something else. The room itself was terrible, also had the horrible smell and was very dated and certainly did not meet the description on the website (hotel possibly in breach of advertising standards) As we had no other option but to stay the night we had to put up with the horrible room however we did decline the terrible dinner on offer that night. This hotel is by no means a four star hotel and I feel that it is seriously misleading potential guests on the website. I will never stay at this hotel again and will definately not recommend it to anyone else.

Friendly hotel near the airport

Since we arrived late at night, we decided to stay at the Florio Hotel for the first night of our trip, it was very convenient, being only 15 minutes away from the airport and had a nice beach. It was very clean and the staff was very helpful. They also spoke english and french. The hotel had wi-fi, but only in the lobby at an extra fee. The breakfast was mediocre, and was only until 9:30 am. The pool was very well maintained with a lifeguard and animator on duty. I would stay there again .

Beautiful Beach Vacation - terrible restaurant

Florio Park was exactly what we were looking for. We were in Italy for 2 weeks and 3 days was spent in Sicily because my husband's grandfather was from there. Cinisi is a great town. It's basically a paradise for anyone looking for sun and swimming. The pool was gorgeous and you have a ring-side seat to sunsets over the sea. you also have private beach access with comfy lounge chairs. Much of the water is rockey, but there is a nice sandy area that's perfect for swimming and most of the wind is blocked so the surf isn't bad, great for kids. There is a kids pool as well. Most employees spoke English fairly well and they were helpful. The largest problems we had were the A/C in the room barely worked and then completely stopped the last night we were there and the hotel restaurant is AWFUL. The breakfast is free and n ot bad, but the lunch and dinners are a 25 Euro buffet and they are NOT worth the money. They serve some of the worst Italian food I've ever had, a far cry from the delicious food we got in town. The dining room is also poorly organized and you're constantly running into people even when it's not crowded. For the same price it's well worth it to drive into town to dine in the little square at one of the local restaurants with a fantastic array of fresh seafood and pastas.

The do have a spa and the prices looked decent but we didn't try anything out. The also had tennis courts and a sad looking mini golf course.

Negatives aside, this place did exactly what we wanted it to. It gave us a relaxing break in the sun (we basically sat at the pool for 2 full days) in a safe town where we could avoid the hustle and bustle of Palermo while still drinking in some Sicilian culture.

The air condition couldnt cool the room, its hard to find (dont trust your GPS, it almost killed me). You have to drive far to have anything. The pool was nice. Difficult parking even in the hotel. 35 euros to airport 10 mins away by taxi. Huge dinning room buffet, food not bad but very crowdy and noisy.

Disappointing, though close to airport

What a disappointment! Right on a lovely small beach, only 8 km (5 miles) from the airport - seemed ideal for our last night before flying out in the morning. From the outside, it was appealing, as was the lobby. The desk clerk was extremely rude. He took phone calls while we were trying to check in, was distracted and then could not find our reservation (the clerk on the next shift did find it in the book with the other Expedia reservations). We were made to feel like an imposition during check-in. The room was rather \"motel-like\" and the space between the bottom of the door and the outside let in light. The hotel is difficult to find, in spite of their claims to the contrary. Restaurant choices in the area are limited and inconvenient to get to due to the narrow streets with no sidewalks. We ended up at an interesting trattoria next door to the hotel (not inviting from the outside - we almost didn't try it, which would have been a mistake).

An oasis if the right rooms are booked!

Florio Park Hotel is advertised as a oasis in the middle of Palermo, and one half of it is. However, I booked two triples and didn't realize we were in the non-oasis part. The rooms were in the 300's and were directly next to the fence with the sleepy guard. The floors were visibly dirty, the bathroom door got stuck, the beds were very uncomfortable and one room looked like it had a jimmied lock. However, when we went to switch rooms and try for an upgrade, the reception was very gracious, albeit confused by our request, and ended up offering us 3 very nice, very clean rooms on the 'resort' side for no extra cost. The bellhop wasn't very friendly however, and the people who ended up moving our luggage were dressed in street clothes. Part of the allure of the oasis resort is lost when a guy in jean shorts and a bright yellow tshirt is moving your luggage. The buffet was overpriced, but the pizza place on the other side of the barbed wire wasn't very appetizing either. The grounds on the resort side were beautiful with a gorgeous view of the ocean and private beaches. We only stayed for one night as we landed in Sicily and before we ventured to Taormina. It is very close to the airport, although I recommend using the meter when you take a taxi, or the people will screw you.

The resort is gorgeous, the grounds are impeccable, the breakfast buffet is delicious and the reception was very nice and accommodating. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who is spending a night before or after a flight, or even for an extended resort spa vacation. However, I would steer clear of the triple rooms and spring for more doubles, since they are on the inside of the hotel.

It worked for us.

We were only in for a quick 12 hour crew rest. There is a spa and several tennis courts on site but we did not have time to check any of it out. It is conveniently close to the airport. There is a locally popular beach closeby. The staff was satisfactory though not overly friendly.

Convenient for the airport

The Florio Park is only 10 minutes drive from the hire-car drop off at Palermo Airport. To be honest, that's the only reason a group of 4 over-65s chose to stay there for one night before flying home.

This is a large gated complex with all sorts of fitness aids, including the largest hotel pool I've ever seen, tennis courts, a private beach and more besides. It's well-maintained, clean and reasonably comfortable.

The staff are friendly and efficient - especially in opening the gates to let you arrive or escape. The bar is very pleasant, once the pool staff have turned down the volume on their music centre.

The restaurant opened early for breakfast and was OK in that respect. But lunch and dinner are both buffet only. By 7.45pm the place was already crowded and noisy and what was left of the food looked pretty unappetising. Better to go out - to 'La Pirata' fish restaurant just outside the gates (very popular with locals from the fishing village below), the Pizzeria down the alley behind the tennis courts, or into town. If you've got a car, excursions are good - to Palermo perhaps, or through mountain scenery to the beautiful cathedral at Monreale.

Good location....just a pity about the overhead flights!

Hotel is close to the airport which is great for access but noisy when flights go overhead (quite often). On the last day were woken early with VERY loud planes overead. The buildings are also noisy and you can hear your neighbours coming and going... not good when they have early flights and you're trying to enjoy a holiday lie in. Nice pool and beaches though and lovely little town right next door.

The room was like a run down motel 6. We killed four Mosquitos as soon as we got in the room. It smelled of smoke. Bed was not comfortable. There was a wedding that kept us up until 3 am with loud music. Not the greatest way to end our trip.

Motel quality rooms

I have stayed in many 4 star hotels in Italy and this one by far does deserve this status.No bell boy to help with our luggages.When we entered the room,to our surprise ,it was not cleaned and made up after the last guest,wgich was a big turn off.The door seprating us from the nest room was broken and wood open with a slight push.I tried to take a shower to realize there was no hot water and took the libertly to try the room next door(that was unoccupied and open to our room!!!)and no hot water there either! Finally they changes our room. The decore and clleaness of the rooms ( even the new one) was like a motel with the 14\" TV and a phone that did not have Tone (I had to use the reception to amke a call).Breakfast was just OK.The ouside however was very nice.Pool very clean and nice .Also the private beach was very good too. Staff were very helpfull and let me uase the internet from the managers office (their pblic PC was broken.In all if you are ok with paying this price for a 2-3 star hotel,I guess thats what you will get.

The hotel is an oasis in an area of confusing small streets and run down property. Even with a GPS it was difficult to find. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and over extended themselves. The breakfast was outstanding. They have a large pool and deck. meeting spaces, spas etc. We enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would return.

Great value for the dollar - right on the beach. We stayed in many places that cost much more and had significantly lower quality accomodations. The on-site restaurant was reasonably priced and good. This is an excellent place to stay for your last night in Sicily before catching a plane early the next morning. If you plan to dump your rental car at the airport before going to the hotel, be aware that the actual cost for a cab ride from to/from the airport is 35 euro, not the publicized rate of 12 euro. The cost of a round trip will negate your saving by returning the car early.

Très bel hôtel, surplombant la mer avec une grande piscine. Chambre spacieuse. Buffet avec plats différents chaque jour, très bien préparés. Très peu de francophone.

Purtroppo non ho potuto usufruire di alcuni servizi come la piscina perchè ho raggiunto la struttura troppo tardi ma per il resto è stata un'ottima esperienza. Stanza spaziosa e pulita.

Ristrutturato e pulito

Grande struttura rinnovata, pulita, con giardino molto curato.
Personale gentile e accogliente. Appena sotto l'hotel si trova una bella spiaggia accessibile direttamente. Non distante dall'aeroporto Falcone Borsellino.

Posizione strategica, mare bellissimo, pulizia, personale efficace, ottima ristorazione. Potrebbe essere utile aggiungere una palestra per il fitness nel tempo libero visto che ci sono spazi idonei.

Strandnäche Hotel sehr alt und gerade beim Renov..

War soweit OK Hotel war nicht so wichtig da wir den ganzen Tag unterwegs waren.
Personal war OK das Hotel ist leider sehr alt was man auch sieht!

Cena deliziosa, tutto buono e abbondante , buffet ricco . Location molto suggestiva, piscina esterna molto bella, SPA piccola, mi aspettavo di più, niente di eccezionale. La stanza molto ampia ma con problemi di aria condizionata, è piena zeppa di zanzare. Hotel nella media, molto divertente l'animazione

Hotel parfait pour des vacances reposantes

Cet hôtel est bien situé, proche de l'aéroport et de Palerme en navette. Il est très bien entretenu.
Le personnel de l'accueil et du bar sont sympathiques mais manque de convivialité, rigide, pas d'humour.
L'ambiance générale est beaucoup trop strict et sérieuse pour un site de vacances.
L'équipe du restaurant est parfaite, toujours le sourire et sympathique comme l'équipe du ménage.
La restauration est plutôt moyenne.
Le service au bar est très contraignant, il faut présenter une carte et ensuite signer le ticket de caisse... Ce n'est pas le bar avec un esprit vacances... du coup on n'a pas envie de consommer... Si l'on se trouve au bord de la piscine et qu'on a soif il faut tout d'abord sécher et ensuite se rhabiller sinon on ne nous sert pas... A revoir !!!
L'équipe d'animation FRAM a assuré mais devait se tenir au règles une fois de plus trop stricts de l'hôtel du coup peu d'ambiance.
Beaucoup de vacanciers retraités (de 60 à + de 80 ans ) italiens.
La piscine est surveillée mais encore une fois avec des règles qui ne permettent pas aux enfants de jouer dans l'eau, ballons, petites balles etc... interdit pour ne pas déranger les gens... alors que la piscine est très grande et permet aux gens qui veulent être tranquille de s'isoler dans l'eau.
Je conseille cet hôtel à des personnes recherchant le calme et la tranquillité uniquement.

Una bella struttura, anche se la camera è un po' datata. Magnifica la piscina e ottimo il servizio. Spiaggia riservata e mare molto bello. Ristorante superlativo!

Aria condizionata rumorosa e disponibile solo da13:00 alle 01:00.
Da non credere. Tessera servizi e Wi-Fi obbligatorio a pagamento a persona e al giorno, quindi 5 euro a dispositivo e al giorno, ditelo prima che sorprese sul posto non ne vogliamo.
