Not one negative thing to say about The McClelland House! Staff reached out the morning of to gauge a booking time, greeted us upon arrival, and gave us all the information we needed. We were rushing off to a tasting and Sydney brought our luggage to our room and put our perishables in the fridge. We had made-to-order eggs Benedict in the morning with fresh fruit and coffee, and the staff even brought it up to our room. The room itself was BEAUTIFUL, very spacious, and functional. We wished we had another night to stay and will definitely be back in the future.

This is an amazing property. We are a pretty well travelled couple and although our visit was short, this was one of the better properties we have visited. The common areas and our accommodations were beautiful. Our hostess Sydney was so charming and personable. Late afternoon tastings and charcuterie. We were offered a variety of wines to try and Sydney was very gracious answering all our questions and providing her Napa experiences and property. After morning coffee in outdoor patio followed by a wonderful cooked to order breakfast of omelettes, sausages, cheeses, yougart, juices, breads….served at the big table with other guests. It was a great start to our Napa trip. We are looking forward to returning. Thanks to owner for sharing McClelland House and Sydney for your hospitality.

Excellent property. The staff was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the home and the local area. She gave us a tour and made us feel right at home. We were totally happy with our experience. From the moment we arrived til the time we left everything was way above what we expected. The House is impeccably decorated a mix of new and old world charm. We had delightful afternoon wine and a beautiful cheese and nut board. That evening we went to a local Italian restaurant recommended by staff. It was just perfect. When we came back we celebrated a birthday with champagne and cake! Later on we watched a movie on the big screen TV in the common area. The next morning fresh coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice

The house is absolutely lovely and beautifully restored. The room was well appointed and stocked with free still and sparkling water, coffee and fancy teas. The bed was comfortable and the full blackout shades were a nice touch. Choolee, the owner, personally hosted a generous happy hour (that ended up going on for several hours) for all of the guests of the mansion. The house is east walking distance to several restaurants and the river. We will be back for sure.

The cleaning person was there but she didn't speak English. There was an envelope on front step with our key and coupons in it. It all worked out and was really a lovely place to stay.

Owner or representative was missing during entire stay. Had to pick up keys to room on porch upon arrival. Apparently owner was away for weekend for family function. This seems to be a reoccurring theme. She is never there. Premise is bare bones. No toiletries in unit. House grounds needs major landscaping. Items that were provided (toilet paper etc.) was the cheapest on the market. For the price you pay, one expects a few nicer things. The one breakfast we ate was very nice. Owner would not accommodate my wife and I with an earlier breakfast as our flight was early. Breakfast is 9:00 No exceptions. We loved the area but will not be back to this place. Look someplace else

Only negative was the in-tub shower, quite unsafe with almost nothing to grab/hold on to if one should slip; also would have liked to have some meat (bacon, ham, sausage, etc) with our breakfast. Otherwise, was WAS WONDERFUL STAY AND RECOMMEND TO ALL.

Not that the Hapa fires has subsided, we are hearing that the local businesses will really suffer if locals stay away. So we re-booked a planned getaway from the beach to Napa, and are so glad we did! We stayed in the Roma suite and really enjoyed the huge jetted tub nestled in the window alcove, and the beautiful four-poster bed. It is in a quiet residential area, with a beautiful yard - but you can walk a few blocks to the riverside and bustling downtown. We got massages in the afternoon (Greenhaus - highly recommend) and then walked from the hotel to dinner, followed by a leisurely stroll along the river. There was actuallyplenty of action downtown, if we had felt like cocktails or dancing or live music it was all there. Next time we may catch the Wine Train, which we hear is also back in action. Support your local everyone, you will be glad you did!

I can't say enough good things about the McClelland-Priest B&B. From the moment you walk through the door, you know that you are in a unique space. We stayed in the Puccini Suite, one of the smaller suites, and loved it. Beautiful four-poster bed, antique furniture, roomy bathroom, high ceiling. The breakfast room was impressive. Celeste is a consummate hostess and a great breakfast cook. Downtown Napa is a short walk away. We stayed there for two nights. I would absolutely go back there if the opportunity presents itself.

We stayed here for an overnight wine tasting trip to Napa. The place was lovely and had great architectural features. It was quiet and comfortable. In the morning they served a good breakfast and the host, her young boy and their dog were very nice to chat with and accommodating of our vegan diet.

Really nice house, nice people. I did not really see anybody that worked there except at breakfast. They give you a nice packet with everything you need when you arrive. It's an old place. Gates don't open all the way which is an issue if you don't get around well. Also there are high narrow stairs to climb. Normally I would not notice these things but I threw my back out and suddenly priorities change. Avoid this place if you use a walker, cane, crutches, or have a significant disability. We will certainly stay here again when my back is better. Don't bring you kids here. It's really for couples. VERY romantic. Kids won't like it at all.

So many wonderful things to say! The rooms are lovely. The inn has been lovingly cared for. The breakfasts were terrific. The inn is within walking distance to downtown Napa, so parking is not an issue. The neighborhood is quiet and a great place to take a stroll.

This is the second time we have stayed at MP. Celeste, Bruce and their family are all inviting and nice. We stayed in the Puccini room, it was comfortable and clean. The breakfasts were very good and they accomodate people with food allergies. Check in and check out was as easy as picking a packet off the table and leaving keys in the room. Not a problem for us but if you have trouble with climbing steep stairs then this is not the place for you.

We enjoyed our stay at the McLelland. It was a nice location in Napa, and we never had trouble finding street parking right in front of the B&B but I can see that as being an occasional problem. Check-in was very easy. Breakfast was served at 9am which we thought to be a little late but not the end of the world! The food was good but not great. Coffee was available in our room which was nice.

There is a lovely house and impressively restored. The one odd thing was there was no one to greet us upon our arrival and an envelope with keys left on the porch even though we arrived at 330 pm There was breakfast the next morning served by innkeeper's daughter, so perhaps innkeeper was unavailable that weekend. There was no wine and cheese reception but were given a card to go to their winetasting room in town, but there was a charge, but discounted, 2/1. I would have liked coffee out in the morning a bit earlier, but breakfast was good, not over the top or anything but decent. The location is very close to town which was very nice. Overall, it was very nice but probably would not stay again. If all other options are not available, it would be a good choice however, as the bed was very comfortable. TVs are not available in all the rooms and even though we had the largest suite, it was just an oversized monitor on a desk which made viewing a bit hard, so that may be something you might consider, as well if that is important to you..

We walked only two blocks north and we were on Napa's main drag with restaurants, bars, shops, etc. The breakfast in the morning was excellent and included a delicious baked french toast casserole, good coffee, fresh juices, etc. Staff service was excellent and very friendly.

The building is a home that was built in the 1880s and it is simply stunning. The owners prepare a delicious former breakfast every morning. It's within walking distance to restaurants and tasting rooms. It really was the perfect place!

The house was beautiful and elegant, however, I was not happy with the room condition and wifi service. The bed sheets was not cleaned and had a smell with someone had used. Wifi was not working and I had to use a lot of data usage.

A Grand Stay at a Vintage Beauty
A lovely old Victtorian style. Wonderful, authentic appointments inside and Celeste and her husband are friendly and willing to fill you in on the history. The breakfast was delicious and well presented in the vintage dining room with its stunning chandelier. The sitting room , complete with grand piano , made my wife feel like she was in Downton Abbey! The place is quiet and private. The grand stairway in the hall is beautiful, but could be a problem for those who can't do stairs, but I did see at least one large room on the first floor. Also our Puccini suite on the second floor, let in a lot of light at night from the beautiful church across the street, but perhaps we simply failed to see the heavier blackout drapery. Rooms have fireplaces , stately high ceilings and the bathroom was clean and linens in great shape. Can't wait to go again. Highly recommend.

Lovely B & B in Napa
The home was lovely with many beautiful period pieces. However, for the price I felt a few more amenities would have been expected. Decaf coffee was not available either in the room or at breakfast. Internet did not work. The breakfast time was inflexible and rather late (9am) which meant that we were 1 1/2 hours late for our morning conference . Even pre breakfast coffee did not appear until 8:30. Persons leaving early had to settle for a protein bar. If the breakfast time must be at 9:00- the this should be clearly stated on the website- we would have gone elsewhere.

Quick pop up from San Francisco. It was strange there was no one ther to greet. Keys were left in an envelope. Rooms very nice. I thought we got a bottle of wine with our room but we didn't, nor did we have a chance to talk to anyone about it. Breakfast was good. Over all a little pricey I think for what your reiceve.

Service is lacking
We were very excited to stay. However, upon arrival we were met by no one. I had emailed days ago asking checkin instructions and had no response. Took a while to figure out the keys were located in a packet. Went to the wine tasting restaurant owned by the owners but were told we can come in though they had a club member event that day. After we entered, we were yelled at by bar tenders telling us we were not allowed and they would not accept the wine tasting passes. That's really upsetting--they were so rude to us, the guests at the Inn. Also, had we known, we would have stayed somewhere else. We had traveled far for a one day getaway in Napa and we were declined entrance and had no where else to go because it was too late. Next morning, no one was around when we had to check out and I had no option but to leave the keys on the table. The rooms were cute and the house is well maintained though. Just wish the service and hospitality could match.

This was our first trip to Napa and first stay at a B & B. It was wonderful. Celeste was a warm and inviting host. The cottage we stayed in was clean and comfortable. Breakfast in the main house each morning was AMAZING! She is a excellent cook and she is so knowledgable and helpful on how to plan your day in Napa. It was very quiet and peaceful.
