There was a lemon seed in the sink when we arrived to the room. The toilet paper was poor quality. Nothing crazy, but poor attention to detail. The check in area was closed and we checked in across the street. We asked for our room to be cleaned at 11 am and then at 5 pm when we returned we called again since it hadn’t been done. And it still was never done. The pool was nicely heated but the towels were never replenished by the pool. The “resort fee” wouldn’t be bad if it felt like a resort quality stay, but sadly, it did not. A real shame, since the last time we stayed here it was a luxury experience.

We were not greeted upon arrival, our room was not ready (it was 6pm) we had to ask several times if we could get assistance with a cart for our bags. When we called down to the front desk no one answered we had to find a cart left by another guest on our own to transport our bags downstairs. When we provided feedback to the front desk they were not apologetic or seemed to care about our negative experience during our stay. Would not recommend for the price tag.

I recently stayed at here and unfortunately had a very poor experience. Throughout my stay, there was no reliable hot water in the room. Despite multiple calls to the front desk, the issue was not resolved.
•A technician came once and temporarily restored hot water, but it failed again the same evening.
•After returning from a hike, we were forced to take cold showers. Later that night, another technician was sent around 9pm, but by then my wife had gone to bed without being able to shower.
•The following morning, the problem persisted — still no hot water.

In addition to this, the front desk was extremely difficult to reach. Calls were often sent to an automated system that disconnected after several minutes. I eventually had to call from an outside line to get through.

Upon checkout, no one asked about our stay, no apology was offered, and I was unable to get a printed bill. The overall service was dismissive, and far below the standard expected for the price we paid.

The property was fine and we had a good stay. Doesn’t have a ton of curb appeal being so close to an office park, and the rooms could use an update, but the facilities were nice and it’s affordable. We went for a concert and venue onsite was really great. All of the hotel staff were very friendly.

I wish the Front Desk had better communication. It was really difficult to get in touch with someone when we found used water bottles in our room and we had a dirty ice bucket that we were trying to get replaced (they never ended up bringing us a new one). I was also charged a $100 fee for bringing my pet (which is fine) but they brought a dog bed and bowl that I honestly didn’t use because they looked dirty.

Overall, I would visit again, but only if I was attending a concert, or needed a quick day trip / weekend getaway from SF to a hotel with a nice adults-only pool!

You cannot get anyone to answer the phone, whether its reservations,front desk,concierge, or housekeeping. So if you need assistance with anything, good luck getting a hold of someone at this resort from your room.I also had the same problem when booking my reservation. I could not get a hold of reservations as they did not answer the phone and you get a voicemail and sit on hold forever.So I booked through expedia. At checkout I was not asked how my stay was or thanked......those days are gone I guess. But it is a very nice resort hotel. My room was fabulous and the vineyard and trail was amazing!

Pros: rooms were great size, loved the little balconies. Pool and hot tub were nice too. Parkin was easy, $15 per day for self parking. Was near most things you'd want to do in Napa, including the Napa Valley Wine Train! Front desk was nice. Two bedroom suite had everything you needed in the kitchen, including plates and utensils, which was very nice. Complimentary wine and water bottles was also appreciated!

Cons: Check in was at 4p but our room wasn't ready at that time. When we got to our rooms, there was no hand soap in one room and the other room did not have body wash. The bathroom door had big scratches on the front of it.

Not worth the price. We stayed at the Meritage before and loved it - we were hoping for an amazing experience at the ‘Grand Reserve’ which is a newer building. It was very ‘meh.’ Strangely it only had one elevator for the whole large building. Then started the nickel and dime process - seems like they had fees on top of fees and charged for parking. Imho this place has lost its charm for greed. The worst part was that we felt rushed with the check in and checkout process as if we were a nuisance. We don’t expect someone to roll out a red carpet, but overall it just gave us a bad taste. I don’t think we’ll ever come here again.

Our check did not go as smoothly as we would have liked it took a bit to have a room ready. Once checking in another guest interrupted our delayed check in and the front desk attendant addressed the other guest before completing our check in process. I also learned that our family friend had ordered a fruit and cheese platter that never came to our room. Uncertain if it was sent to our other room, since we had been updated but that should have been noted.

I had a deeply concerning experience during my stay at Meritage Hotel from 2/14/25 to 2/16/25, and the matter remains unresolved.

During our stay, a hotel employee unlawfully entered our room while my partner and I were engaged in a private moment. This individual neither knocked nor announced their presence and, instead of immediately leaving, lingered and listened before fleeing when confronted. This was a severe violation of our privacy, and we immediately reported it to hotel security.

We were assured that an investigation would be conducted, including a review of key card access logs, but we received no follow-up. When we escalated the matter to the front desk manager, she acknowledged the mishandling of our complaint, apologized, and assured us we would receive compensation via a credit for our massages, as she claimed our booking through Expedia prevented a room refund. However, no such credit was ever applied.

What makes this experience even worse is that our itemized receipt shows we paid Meritage Hotel directly, further calling into question the excuses given. The complete lack of communication and failure to honor promises has left us feeling disregarded. I had initially trusted the staff to make things right, but that trust has been broken. This level of disregard for guest concerns is unacceptable, and I cannot recommend this hotel to others.

Overpriced for a very average room with no amenities that warrant the price. Check in was with a teenager who when asked for recommendations for wineries stated he was too young to drink. No concierge services. $100 resort fee for seeming nothing? There are restaurants on property but to pay a fee for them without dining? One teen working the coffee bar on a Sunday morning with a long line. SKIP this place. It is off a highway and has zero charm, industrial park feel, and no added amenities or staffing that other luxury properties provide.

From the second we checked in there were issues. It was just an unending series of problems. The service was terrible. The front desk was inexperienced and rude. The valet was never around. The Wi-Fi was down. We were putting a room by a concert on a Sunday night without any warning People came into our room without knocking we were told we couldn’t have more water, nothing in the room worked and they couldn’t fix it… The list goes on and on and on to spend $670 on a room and be treated like we were at the motel. It was horrible and so disappointing. I do not recommend staying here.

I paid for a room with a view of the pool, but the balcony had a huge slab of concrete blocking the view. The bathroom sinks had several pieces of hair in them. The room wasn't thoroughly cleaned. There was a stain running down the wall. Overall, for $400 a night, I expected more.

We chose to pay at property and when we checked in we asked them to change the charge card on file. Which was easy. However on the morning of check out not only did they charge the card I had used to reserve the hotel when originally booked, but they also charged the card we gave them at check in. When we tried to resolve it at the front desk we were told they could not see the double charge and that because we booked through a third party. We explained that we did not “pay” through the third party (Expedia) that we asked them to charge a specific card which they did as well as the card on file with Expedia. I am not happy at all and will never book through a third party again. Now I have to wait to see what happens on my bank’s end as my account is negative AND I have prearranged payments hitting my account making it even more negative. I am very upset and frustrated!!!

Amazing stay. This was our first time visiting Napa, and we were so glad we chose this hotel. The facilities were impeccable, the staff extremely friendly, and the dining options were delicious. We absolutely loved that there was also an adult only pool. The proximity to vineyards was very convenient. Will definitely stay again in the future!

Even though the hotel was OK in terms of cleanliness and overall qualities of the facilities, I feel it is overpriced. I had a chance to see a friend's room in the non-Grand Reserve portion of the hotel, and the rooms were fairly comparable except for the size of the bathroom. Was a bigger bathroom worth twice as much in terms of the cost? Nope! I would consider staying here again, but the extra money for the Grand Reserve is not worth it.

We had an incredible stay at Grand Reserve. The room was spacious, and the amenities couldn’t be beat. One of the evenings we had the pleasure of watching Belinda Carlisle perform a concert from the comfort of our balcony. The property was conveniently located in close proximity to top wineries in both Sonoma and Napa. We will absolutely be staying here again.

Perfect for a quick and convenient family getaway

Perfect for our family getaway. The staff were all very nice, friendly and attentive. The rooms were clean. The suites had everything we needed in the kitchen.

A bit pricey for drinks by the pool but all in all, we had a great time and would definitely stay again.

We checked in late at night there was no one available to help with our bags. The rooms were nice & clean, however every day, the cleaning staff would leave their cleaning supplies on our sink. This included solution & dirty rags.

Next there were no washcloths. They would clean the room & leave only towels & hand towels.

The staff was not always pleasant. At time, very rude. For the price, the service should have been impeccable!

Didnt work for 3 days 😪 we stayed at the property for 4 days and not a single day we get to enjoy the pool or hot tub. Coffee machine in our room was broken , we mentioned to the staff few times and no one came to replaced the coffee machine . We had to come downstairs to get coffee
