We were there for two nights. First night was good to very good. Second night the restaurant was closed the bar was closed with no prior notice. Room service took over an hour to get it. On the second night we had a third room booked for my niece and her husband but when they heard everything was closed they decided not to stay so they went home and we could not get our money back. Very bad customer service in my opinion.

The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Cameryn one of the Concierge’s was wonderful and assisted us with some great vineyards to visit. The shuttle bus driver Armando was amazing! He was so friendly and helpful he made the ride to and from downtown Napa so much fun. Since our room was part of a vacation club some services you had to call for daily, but was taken care of promptly when asked. Overall Enjoyable stay.

The property was lovely. Our room had a few issues: an extremely loud, ticking air conditioner that for some of my guests couldn't sleep for others it was fine. The coffee maker did not come with a filter and when we requested assistance, it never resulted in fixing the issue. Parking was challenging we had not realized there would be a concert throughout the weekend. Otherwise, pool area was wonderful and the grounds themselves a treat. Would suggest when walking to the statue go with another person, I ended being observed by a homeless person hiding in the bush just next to the statue, which was unnerving.

Nothing special about the property. It was quiet. Staff was cordial. We were notified that housekeeping wouldn't be coming to our room daily due to the nunber of days we stayed. We checked in Thursday and checked out Sunday. However, she did state if we needed anything to call the front desk.

At check-in, we were told there would be a $100 a day resort fee and a hold for incidentals totaling $1300. The vacation was booked and paid in full, the only amount due at the property indicated on the receipt was $136 due at the property. She did mention that the charge would drop off after we checked out.

We reserved a studio but it was too small. The tv was mounted on the wall in the kitchen area next to the microwave, there was a sofa that seemed too large for the space and a small dining table with 2 chairs. We spoke with the front desk and she was kind enough to move us to a 1-bedroom which gave us the space we needed. I also mentioned to her the $1300 charge, showed her the email I received and she assured me the charge would drop off.

The grounds were average but some of the buildings needed pressure washing as well as the sidewalks and parking lot.

Two 50 -minute, $180 massages ended up costing $490 after addiotnal fees and gratuity were added, which seems like the extra fees would have been included in the resort fee but the massage was good.

I would probably choose another resort that offered more amenities to justify the costs & fees

The room and amenities are generally all great, esp for families that need a kitchenette. The pool, restaurants and flat turf areas for young kids to run around we're perfect for us. The only thing lacking is probably the pace of service. They mentioned they were short staffed, so asking for additional items like blankets, towels, taking out the trash, etc. took the full day and additional reminders to get the items in.

Negative was our room overlooked the back of the Meritage where all the food deliveries go and the dumpsters are. Garbage collection at 0300 was not good for sleep nor was the dropping of large garbage objects at 0100.
Overall the resort was fabulous for our 4 day trip to Napa. If I would have known about the location of the room before check in I would have asked for a different room.

It’s a very nice property, however, we did not realize when we booked that it is a “timeshare” style location. There was a hard press at check in to attend a 90 min presentation (for a “gift”) and when we declined, they called us on our last night to give another hard press to attend the seminar and receive our free “gift.” As I said, it’s a wonderful property but be prepared for the sales pitch.

There are lovely resorts and hotels in Napa; this is NOT one of them! Checking in was problematic: there was a long line at 4pm, and as you must go to the \"Club Wyndham, check-in\" (which was NOT signified on the reservation paperwork!) and listen to a sales pitch about purchasing a Wyndham time share, the entire process was dreadful......and much too slow. Although the room was booked EIGHT months in advance, it was by far the most undesirable: patio overlooking nearby cars, next to the main entrance, first floor with walls so thin the TV next door was clearly audible. The shampoo, gel, conditioner containers were EMPTY, and although attempt was made to call the front desk, we gave up after trying twice and holding for 10 minutes. MUCH to our dissatisfaction, there was NO HOUSEKEEPING our second day.....no refilling of the empty necessities, no fresh towels, no removing the garbage. Having to walk to the front desk, wait 15 minutes, (as again, no answer to a phone call,) to ask for what should be furnished, there were only towels delivered.
As I read the other reviews, it is obvious the management of this hotel is distressingly absent, or just does not care. The insult is the \"property charge\" of $50, which obviously covers nothing. AVOID this hotel....the cost of staying here is NOT reflected in the service, the rooms, nor the management.

To start, this is a beautiful property. After check in we found out it was a timeshare, and were convinced to sit for a presentation for free passes to a winery. On our 3rd night, the guest in the next room started yelling and screaming obscenities on her cell phone, while going in and out of her room, slamming doors and pacing up and down the hall-at 3 am! Eventually security and maintenance came to try and resolve the issue in person. I guess there was a water leak. This woman was very uncoopertative and didn't make any sense. She seemed to be under the influence of something. Three noisy hours later she was moved to a different room. If this were a regular hotel she would have been removed by the police within the hour. The following day I complained at the front desk. They comped us $100 and assured us the room was out of order and we would have a quiet night to look forward to. That night we were awakened by the sound of drills and saws doing repairs on the very same room!! In the middle of the night-again! We were checking out early the next morning anyway. I didnt have the energy to address it. I might add that the shower was lukewarm every morning, except the last day it was ice cold . This facility rates well for the grounds and staff but they have some maintenance issues. This gave me one more reason not to own a timeshare. They tried to appease a \"property owner\" at the expense other guests comfort.

This is a mixed-bag property. The general cleanliness around the property is good; nothing more than usual wear and tear was noticeable, and the reception area and service was excellent - we were greeted with a glass of champagne and a smile. However, it's a \"death by a thousand paper cuts\" situation that puts this at 3 stars.

The quality of the concierge service was inconsistent and frustrating. The room smelled musty and old. The shower pressure was terrible. I observed one employee speeding through the parking lot late at night. Upon checkout, my credit card was mischarged for a very significant amount that took days to resolve. There was insufficient parking due to many onsite weddings over the weekend. The shuttle in to town ran late a few times. None of these are deal-breakers on their own, but for a place that bills itself as a luxury/five-star resort, it falls short. Also, be aware of the pressure when you check in to sign up for a timeshare sales pitch in return for comped wine experiences.

On the upside, it's a fantastic location, the onsite restaurants and facilities are good quality, and the staff are very friendly and professional.

Beautiful property. Lovely walking path up to Grape Crusher statue. We enjoyed dinner at the Village cafe Restaurant. We liked the pretty chapel. We took free shuttle into town. Unfortunately, the room was not as clean as it should be. The sink was dirty- unsanitary. The shower leaked out onto the bathroom floor tile- not safe- we had to put a towel to stop it. Our patio faced the parking lot. There was bird poop all over the patio, table, and outdoor cushions- not acceptable.

We have stayed at the Vino Bello before and it has always been good. Nothing exceptional, but nice. This time we felt like the red headed step child. Flight delays and exhaustion and a midnight check in - all we wanted was a shower and bed. In the shower was hair all over the wall and as water splashed from the drain, on our feet. It was disgusting. Asked for it to be cleaned the next day and it was. Pool not open until late. Air conditioning unit sounded like a jet engine in the room. Couldn’t use it or you’d never sleep. No cushions on the patio chairs. Asked for some and was told they’d be put out - never got them…. Thank goodness the bed was comfortable!

Place was comfortable, but really could use updating. Hot tub didn’t work while we were on property and there was no offer to go to another section to use another hot tub. Shower didn’t work the greatest and kitchen has the bare minimum. Location is good for getting around to wineries and down town. There seemed to be plenty of parking as there was lot of people staying in the different sections. Rooms where clean, just a little outdated. You will have to do a sales presentation if you want any comp wine tastings, we did not.

Had a great time staying at the Vino Bello. My friend and I have been coming to the Vino Bello and Meritage for over six years. The only thing I was disappointed in was that Vino Bello guests have to use the Vino Bello pool only instead of how it used to be for years and years of being able to use the Meritage adult pool. Don’t get me wrong the pool at Vino Bello is nice but it is a family pool which has a kiddy pool amd water play area. Great for families with kids but not so great for adults wanting to just sit by the pool and read. Secondly, there were no umbrellas so within a few hours I got sunburnt, and yes I used sunscreen. Regardless of the new restrictions we had a great time.

Parking is a serious problem. The resort caters to huge corporate events leaving guests of the hotel without decent parking whatsoever. I was a guest for 8 nights. NOT ONCE was I able to actually park in the parking lot. The night of the party on the lawn I had to park a block away in the office park area. Inexcusable. UNIT 3201 (great location) is missing the wine rack and a full length mirror. A single half height mirror for the whole unit is not adequate. Furnishings need an update. The kitchen bench is so low you must sit on the sofa cousins to enjoy a meal. On a positive note, this kitchen seems to be better equipped than others. Love discovering the new chicken coop. They appear sickly for some reason but a morning walk with a cup of Joe in hand was one of my early morning pleasures. Proximity to the valley is average but offers a Good value for Napa.

Checkin went well and room was great though air conditioner was very loud. As it was very warm in Napa when we were there definitely needed it. They offer a shuttle to downtown Napa. First night in no issues second night shuttle never returned to pick up spit. It was the 9:30 PM pickup. There were several other people there besides us. We all tried calling and one was answering phone. Finally 35 minutes after we should have been picked up the phone was answered. We were to,d someone was on the way. Not true. It’s only an 8-12 minute ride during the busy part of the day. At 15 minutes we called again several of us. Again told he must left. Finally arrived but u acceptable that phone is not answered and that there was no contingency plan in place if driver goes home.

The property is very pretty and the room had everything we needed. Loved the balcony and the fireplace for ambience. The grounds had a lovely spa and you could take a walk up the hill to the vineyards, complete with signs describing each type of grape growing there. Great location with only a short drive to downtown and about 30 minutes to Sonoma. This was my second time here and I would definitely stay again.

The resort grounds are awesome! Several wineries on the property, a general store, several bars/restaurants, several pools, a spa, and a little walking trail amongst the active vines that give you scenic views. There is plenty to do and see without ever leaving the resort.

Our experience with our room was just ok. The washer/dryer and kitchen sink were a surprise compared to normal hotel rooms, but ultimately weren't that impactful for us. Our A/C was so incredibly loud, even on the lowest setting, we had to wear earplugs to sleep. There were other nagging issues (random sounds coming from the fire alarm, drip in the shower, etc.) that went unattended to despite noting them for guest services. The room was fine, but not great, which is why the review is not 5-stars.

Also, since it's a Wyndham property, you'll also get the timeshare solicitation several times throughout your stay, but that didn't really have any bearing on our enjoyment.

We highly, highly recommend the property, but if you expect the same luxury/care from your room, then you may be disappointed.

Absolutely loved this resort! 5 stars! It is a timeshare so they do ask you to attend their forum but they are not pushy about it! The amenities were amazing and the restaurant onsite Olive & Hay is a MUST! It was better than the 5 star Michelin restaurant we attended while there. Its about 10 minutes from downtown but totally worth it for all they have to offer at the resort. Greeted with champagne while checking in and offered free wine tasting. Great hot tub and pool and balcony view! And most importantly the room was CLEAN :)

I wish I had known it was a time share. I would have probably stayed somewhere else because I don't like pushy sales. Fortunately, it wasn't as bad as some folks said. At least for my stay. When you check in, you go past the front desk at the Meritage. They take forever to check you in because they ask a lot of nosy questions. After you're checked in, they send you to another person who says that they're \"finishing up the check in process\" even though you have your room keys already. They ask more invasive questions like your age, marital status, salary range, and address. They watch you to \"make\" you do it. When he turned, I put in a random age and he did a double take when he read the information. He tells you then that their jobs depend on you going to they're 90 minute presentation about their time share. Definitely recommend skipping it as no one can make you go and that's a lot of your vacation time that you would waste. Parking can be a pain if you come back around dinner time. They do provide a map that indicates where you can park. The location is good, there's a kitchen and a large bathroom. The free in room wine is pretty gross, but you can request it to be changed to grape juice if you so choose. The location is good and they also share the pool with the Meritage, and there's a gym. Worth the cheaper price for what it is, but he aware that they are pushy with the sales when you check in.

We booked a 1 bedroom suite, but there were engineering problems when we checked in and they put us in a smaller room the first night. I have not yet been credited the difference for the prices of the room

The service was excellent...very nice staff. Very accessible and a variety of activities available. We would have liked to get side by side rooms, but it was still doable. Also, we weren't able to use our pool and spa.

A couple of reason why I rated the room okay. We had our room what seemed to be next to a restaurant and it was extremely noisy at night. We were also on the first floor and around 6/7 am people that were right above us were making so much noise too. This was our first time traveling with our baby and all this extreme noise woke her up several times. We even called the front desk because it seemed the people on the second floor were drilling things. Overall the room was clean and really roomy/comfortable we loved that but the noise was terrible.
