I had the most fabulous stay at Hotel Rialto. I had a magnificent view of the Grand Canal and Rialto Bridge. In addition, the staff were really helpful and kind and the breakfast was terrific. It was great to be so close to the Rialto Markets and a waterbus stop. It meant I could come and go easily during each day of my visit.

Great location and wonderful staff! The hotel is a bit worn out and the rooms are comparable to those on a cruise ship. You won't visit here to stay in the hotel, for sure. We had an issue with our bathroom and it was sorted quickly and seamlessly. It's VERY easy to find this hotel- just take Vaparetto Line 1 to \"Rialto\" and it's right there. From experience, other hotels in Venice can be very hard to find :)

We booked a Junior Suite, but the first room we were assigned was unacceptable. Opening the windows revealed nothing but a tiny, dark corner and a loud machine that ran all night, making sleep impossible.

After a fight and an intervention from Expedia, we were moved the next day. The second room finally had a view, but the peace ended there. Being on the first floor meant we were directly above the chaos. Between the bar music, constant street chatter, and the roar of water buses and taxis right outside our window until the early hours, we didn't get a single night of rest. The gentleman at the front desk was dismissive and rude when we initially asked for a room change. Only after Expedia's intervention that things got better. The Wi-Fi was weak, non-functional. We reported it multiple times and were promised a \"technician\" who never arrived. We eventually just gave up trying to connect. Being 20 meters from the water bus is convenient, but not when you're too exhausted to enjoy the city. Between the rude service, the broken promises on amenities, and the 24/7 noise from the street and canal, this was far from the \"suite\" experience we paid for.

The room was in very good condition and felt 100% Venetian. The bed was comfortable, linens better than acceptable, bathroom amenities on par with a four-star, and very reasonable prices in the minibar. Our view from the Rialto view room was the reason we sat looking out the window while we settled in for bed, instead of actually sitting in the bed.
The only problem we encountered was the towel warmer. Since it was winter the air conditioning was disabled. The towel warmer would not turn off. The room would get very warm because of this and the heat coming up from lower rooms. We opened the window, which was great until about 6 AM, when the cargo boats unload at the dock right outside your window. Please keep in mind: we are American, so we are very accustomed to sleeping in AC.
In closing, it’s a great hotel in a great location, in Venice. Would definitely stay again, even in the winter.

Amazing location… right by Rialto bridge, water taxi and gondolier. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Walking distance to everything. Rooms were clean, but up a lot of winding stairs (elevator only went up one level). Breakfast good. Staff friendly. Recommend.

Loved the hotel! The rooms are a bit on the smaller side but it was enough for me since I was traveling solo. There is breakfast available and transportation right in front of the hotel. Tons of shops nearby and easy to walk to other locations. If going to the train station by walking, expect around 4-5 different stairs, and the rest is flat ground.

Take this review with a grain of salt. I realize this is Venice and my standards being an American are very different. However, there were positives and negatives.
The hotel was very clean. I booked two rooms. My room was big but very old furniture, dingy not like the pictures, however the bathroom was completed updated and very nice. The second room was more endearing, furniture was nice but the bathroom was very, very old. The area is extremely touristy and noisy, however, you do have a nice view of the Rialto Bridge. Would I go back to this hotel, no, but it wasn't too bad.

What we liked -- Excellent Location. Very close to everything - Shopping, Taxis, Food, Gondola, Attractions. Staff is very professional.

What we did not like -- Hotel -- Too Old and needs lot of improvements. They will need to remove the chandeliers from already cramped rooms. They must remove the antique bookcases and shelf's from the hallways, they must remove the padded cloth wall paper, it stinks with all the smell.
They must repaint the whole building, paint peeling off.
Hotel has dark decor and has maze structure inside. With crowded places all over, it looks like a Ghost place, good for Halloween.

Finally, they can eliminate the free breakfast. No need for it.and it's cold/continental.

Having said that, I will still come to this place for it's location.

I stayed in this hotel situated by the steps of the Rialto bridge for two nights; it was the perfect place. However, the room 302 where I was staying was a source of disappointment for me. I experienced a lot of noise at night and the smell of cooked food infiltrated the room on my second evening.

Although this property is expensive, the location in Venice is outstanding. The rooms are small and bathroom doesn’t have the room for one’s personal things, and the chest drawers are difficult to pull out, but one overlooks such issues. The staff is great and helpful and totally understands English.

The hotel is wonderful. The front desk personnel are fabulous. Centrally located. With in walking distance of everything. My room on the other hand was a different story. I kn ok e I picked it but the room was more of a closet. The bathroom was so small you had to walk sideways to get to the shower. When using the toilet, my knees were hitting the wall. The pillow on the bed was so flat if felt like part of the mattress. Really check the room size before booking.

Nice hotel with a great location in the Grand Canal right at Rialto Bridge in the center of everything in Venice, well kept building friendly staff, also very helpful staff, breakfast included is very good,
only thing could be if you don't like crowded areas probably not a place for you, even though crowd are only outside the actual premises, once you enter the hotel it is very silent actually, we went there my wife and I so we don't care about a crowded street outside, we definitely be back at this hotel soon

Conveniently located next to the Rialto bridge on the main canal. Our room had windows overlooking the grand canal. A little noisy at night but that was expected and really didn’t bother us. The room was spacious and decorated heavily in Venetian style which we loved. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby as well as easily assessable water transportation. Easy walk to museums. Staff was professional and courteous. Would stay here again.
