Beautiful, comfortable boutique hotel stay with exceptional staff. Marie was wonderful, acquainted us with the history of the Castle and the wonderful hotel amenities. She even assisted us with extending our stay. Can’t wait to return for a summer visit! 5 star and a highlight of our South Wales adventure!

This is a superbly restored space and quite unique. It has a few quirks that one should know and are represented by the property managers. There are no meals available outside of breakfast. If one has large pieces of luggage navigating it to ones room could be more than challenging. I am a bit surprised that there is no accommodation made in terms of staffing to provide assistance with luggage.

A unique experience!

Roch Castle Hotel ticks all the boxes for a superb and unique experience. The hotel exudes luxury but in a calm and peaceful manner. A sympathetic restoration leaves many of the castles features evident in most rooms and public rooms.

It was a surprise trip for hubby. As we pulled up to the gates, he let out a huge WOW, I did too.
The lady that greeted us and showed us around was lovely.
Our room, the Nest, was beautiful as was the rest of the castle.
We enjoyed a fabulous breakfast and met other members of staff, they were lovely.
It was like being in a fairy tale.

After touring many castles in Wales, it’s nice to treat my wife of 48 years to a few nights in an old castle. Old but new. It’s very modern once inside with many comforts and a wonderful breakfast.

This is a little gem . We went there for our Ruby anniversary , the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and surprised us with a bottle of bubbly , cards and chocolates . The breakfasts were delicious using local produce . It was an amazing weekend made even better with good weather .

We stayed at Roch Castle for 2 of 9 nights of our trip across Wales. It is a lovely place with a great staff and a wonderful ambiance. Breakfast was terrific too! We highly recommend the hotel and the experience. Truly special!

Had a lovely time at Roch Castle for my birthday.
Staff were polite, and went the extra mile by leaving a very cool birthday card and bottle of wine in the room, as well as leaving petals on the bed spelling 'Happy Birthday'.
Some people wouldnt like it, but I liked the fact the petals were fabric and not real. Better for the environment by leaving flowers in their full splendour. Plus avoids critters and mess in the room.

Clean, tidy, gorgeous interiors with the quirk and magic of being a real castle.

Breakfast offered a wide range of choices, from pastries, cereal, and cooked breakfasts.
We enjoyed a nice Vegetarian breakfast with a rare treat of two sausage choices. Glamorgan, or Richmond. A refreshing change and superior choices compared to other mostly used brands of veggie sausage.

The self serve honesty bar in the sun room is a welcomed touch and very useful in the evenings.

The staff were also helpful when offering tips, advice, and suggestions of things to do in the local area.
It was nice to have an opportunity to have a breif chat where staff took an interest in what guests had done the day before, or what ther plans were for that day.

Thankful that when we left an item of clothing, they found it and returned it to us.

Honestly, quite a magical experience.

What an incredible amazing venue.
So quirky to be able to stay in a castle.
Everything was excellent.
The room spacious, very clean and with great facilities.
The castle was decorated beautifully with exquisite art pieces and features.
The breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
All of the staff were very polite, helpful and friendly.
A lovely gesture to have an honesty bar too.
We enjoyed our stay so much we have booked to return next year.

The hotel is in a 12th century castle that has been made into a 6 bedroom hotel. Baths are spacious, everything sparkling clean. Breakfast was wonderful. Parking right onsite.

We loved the fact that it felt like a home, so relaxing with a wonderful large lounge with various sitting areas. Totally perfect and very homely as it was unstaffed after 7pm. Even though it was unstaffed you could call a 24hour number if you needed help at all. Breakfasts were amazing choices and of an exceptionally high standard. The team of staff couldn't do enough for you, so polite and helpful. We will definitely visit again.

A perfect stay

We had the most amazing stay for our anniversary - the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful and the castle is just fabulous. Stunning views across the bay and watching the sunset was divine. The room was very comfortable and we enjoyed an evening up in the sun room playing games and drinking wine. Breakfast was also delicious! Only recommendation is to take an eye mask as the wooden shutters let in a bit of light so I was woken by the sunrise.
We will definitely be back in the future!

Traveling with a small group of three, we booked two rooms in the castle and could not have been more pleased. The staff was incredibly attentive upon check-in, providing a brief tour of the castle and its amenities before leaving us to move in and relax. The rooms were exceptional and the common areas were comfortable and inviting. I think our only regret was that our travel schedule only allowed for a one-night stay, as we all would have been very pleased to have an extra night or two in this incredibly beautiful setting.

I really enjoyed that while you had a private area to sleep, there were other rooms that you could either relax, entertain, or work in as needed.

This is an outstanding place to stay. The staff were all friendly and professional and happy to stay for a chat. The breakfast was lovely and all cooked fresh and A great choice of hot or cold food. The castle has been renovated to such a high standard and it is a truly relaxing place to stay. We will definitely be staying again. The coastal path is also worth a walk as the sights are incredible. Overall it is a great five star stay.

We have just returned from two nights at Roch and have no hesitation in recommending it as a very special place to stay. The restoration to convert the castle to a hotel clearly had no expense spared, and the quality of the furniture and fittings is of the highest order, creating a luxurious and comfortable environment in which to unwind and relax, with stunning views of the coast and surrounding countryside. The attention to detail is most impressive, as is the high standard of cleanliness and housekeeping throughout, The quality and friendliness of the staff, together with delicious breakfasts, make this a sound choice for those wishing to explore this beautiful corner of the country.

Wow factor of architectural transformation and workmanship - excellent welcome and service. Being the 'virtual custodian' of your own castle - priceless!

As a standalone residential facility superb - a little let down when you use the sister hotel for dining. I would not recommend Twr y Fellin - food poorly executed - style over substance.

It’s a Castle. There are Steps. But Outstanding.

Wow! This was a wonderful experience from beginning to end.
We were welcomed by staff, escorted to our rooms and given a full overview of the room and hotel services, as well as a wealth of information about the local area.
There is transport available to a fine dining restaurant at nearby St David’s. Well worth a visit.
The hotel is just amazing. It has been refurbished inside to a very high standard with modern finishes. The common areas have stunning views, as do the rooms.
Possibly the best hotel I have ever stayed in.
